arthur is immortal in the same way merlin is immortal, he can die but he bounces back after a while. merlin putting arthurs body on a boat and sending him out onto the lake but not burning him as he did to lancelot and freya. merlin disappearing off the face of the earth, unable to go back to camelot where every stone is carved with arthur's name, every room holds the faintest echo of his laughter, the shadows cast by the flickering flames of torches match each line and curve of arthur's body which merlin had memorized after years of dressing and undressing him, wandering and lingering hands that were just casual enough to pass off as platonic.
arthur crawling out of the lake the night after the morning merlin put him to rest, dazed, confused, and alive. arthur searches for merlin but can't find him. he's disappeared. gwen rules camelot as queen, she lifts the ban on magic, and rules fairly. arthur is content to leave his kingdom with her as he searches the land for merlin. he visits every place he and merlin every visited but he's nowhere to be found. time passes but arthur only grows more desperate. he's sure he's searched every inch of albion twice. no merlin.
enough time passes, everyone he's known has died and he looks exactly as he did when mordred drove his blade into his abdomen. arthur is forced to admit to himself that enough time has passed that merlin was bound to have died, leaving arthur all alone. immortal merlin is literally like chilling in ireland or some shit. but both immortal idiots are living in the same area and end up just missing each other. literally like end up holding the door to a coffee shop for one another but they don't meet each other's gazes bc they're busy mourning each other

i feel like in s13 they were really losing the plot. like what do you mean jack and mary are trapped in an alternate dimension where michael is hot but evil and to get them back the rest of tfw has to do a spell they don’t even think will work because they don’t know asmodeus kept gabriel hidden away for years like rapunzel so he’ll conveniently be around to help but first cas has to go to syria and get married to the djinn queen while sam and dean live out an actual mafia movie and all three of them get trapped in a cartoon because of an evil real estate manager and then to get the last ingredient for the spell they have to fight a tentacle porn monster from another alternate dimension, all while lucifer is shacking up with danneel ackles and successfully taking over heaven? oh and sam and dean were stuck in jurassic world for a bit and donatello went insane via chicken wings

ENCYCLOPEDIA -- In Proud Immortal Demon Way, Luo Binghe emerges from the Endless Abyss a fully realized heavenly demon. This marks the beginning of his quest for revenge against those who wronged him, along with bedding every woman he comes across.
HALF LIGHT -- He comes out hungry for blood. Your blood.
CONCEPTUALIZATION [Easy: Success] -- You remember cheering when you read his revenge against Shen Qingqiu. In fact, you remember commenting that he should've gone further when punishing the scum villain. Little did you know that someday you'd be the scum villain in question.
HALF LIGHT -- You have five years before Luo Binghe decides to turn you into a human stick. Better start running.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY -- I can take him.
PHYSICAL INSTRUMENT -- In a fight, right?
ELECTROCHEMISTRY -- ...
PHYSICAL INSTRUMENT -- In a fight, right?
AUTHORITY [Formidable: Failure] -- You absolutely cannot take him, in a fight or otherwise. He's the stallion protagonist, what are you talking about? You're just his poser shizun. You don't stand a chance.
HALF LIGHT -- You pushed your beloved, sticky little white lotus disciple into the Endless Abyss, and there's no coming back from it. You need to start planning now. When he comes back, what will you do?
[Conceptualization: Impossible] Understand the changes you've already made to the story.
[Rhetoric: Challenging] Explain why you did what you did.
[Physical Instrument: Godly] I can take him.
[Electrochemistry: Formidable] I can take him.
[Drama: Challenging] Fake your death.
DRAMA [Challenging: Failure] -- He can't kill you if you're already dead, right? Of course, faking your death is too cliche, and there are too many ways it could go wrong. If you faked your death normally and ran off, there's always the chance he could find you again.
DRAMA -- There's only one option. You're going to have to kill yourself for real.
ENCYCLOPEDIA [Easy: Success] -- You know, there's a mushroom that might help with this...

DRDT SPOILERS
all the theories/evidence/etc I still want answered before we wrap up this trial:
- what was the ball of clothes for? why/how were they starchy?? (and how did the culprit know about the old clothes)
- how and when did the culprit get the fish w/out Nico noticing
- what did Nico tell Hu to get the wire from her
- did the culprit use turpentine? if so, how did they get it, and if not, how did they knock Arei out?
- is the origin of anything else in the crime scene in any way important (where and when did the culprit get the rope, empty jugs, something to cut the rope with, etc.)
- how on earth did Nico come up with that crazy murder method???
- why the hell was MonoTV so urgent and insistent on cleaning up Nico’s crime scene so fast (I don’t think we’re actually gonna get an answer to that but why?????)
- what’s up with the scuffs on the ground + the broken light
- what’s up with Arei’s missing glove!!
- was someone actually following Eden in that scene where she thought she was being followed?
- how did the culprit figure out how Nico’s hanging attempt worked without seeing it in action (5 secs while actively being murdered shouldn’t count!)
- why did the person who took the tape think to do so (and do so without anyone else noticing) considering the circumstances
- why hasn’t anyone brought up that someone could’ve easily stolen the tape from whoever took it? (or even just asked to borrow it??) we just recently addressed how dangerous it is to narrow down the suspect pool without solid proof but I don’t think Teruko will make another ‘mistake’ this trial??
- why and how did the culprit listen in on the Eden/Arturo/Arei scene
- why did the culprit target Arei specifically?
- the fact that the culprit misspelled a bunch of stuff in their letter has to be relevant right
- why and how did the culprit move Arei’s body to the swingset?
- why hasn’t anyone brought up that Arei theoretically could’ve been murdered at night and then moved in the morning!!
- why haven’t we addressed that the murderer could’ve had an accomplice, rendering many alibis useless??
like I dunno, it just feels like David just brought up that we need to consider every possibility when looking at suspects and yet we narrowed down the suspects to two people when theoretically it could still be someone else even with the evidence? i don’t think I’m wording this well but… (like it doesn’t have to be likely or even plausible, it just has to be possible for it to be something Teruko should consider? or maybe I’m reading to deeply into David’s latest monologue idk)

idk. just thinking about those five years in which shen qingqiu was gone. and luo binghe was very *obviously* grief-stricken and in mourning. also thinking about how shang qinghua, as mobei-jun's right hand man, was probably around luo binghe often. thinking about how shang qinghua knew *exactly* what had happened but never told luo binghe. until he did. lol.

I love Usopp dude he's the only strawhat with an even remotely healthy fear of death. and he's not much of a physical fighter either. like Zoro, Luffy, Sanji, and Nami are out here punching ppl and hitting them with sticks in close combat range and Usopp is like hwaahahah I will run away and shoot weird little objects at youuuu >:D and whenever he wins a fight he laughs maniacally and can barely believe he survived. all he knows is slingshot, Fear, eat hot chip and lie
