Hello I made you some more art!! IDK Why your little guys have just stuck in my brain as of late but yeah I'm just on a roll I guess!

This piece was inspired by wondering who was present around Machete's assassination, and how people around him would react to his downfall. So I had the idea for a portrait of a final lover's embrace, as Vasco holds his dying beloved in bloodsoaked arms.

I tried my best with the clothing -- especially the shoes -- and I think I did a pretty good job but BOY were they hard! XD Anyways, I hope you like this one, it was a blast to draw! I love machete sm istg <3

Idk. my hottest take in relation to stained glass has to do with resin. So Many YouTubers do "stained glass resin" vids and i know why they do it, because total boat pays them to, but it's gotten your average joe thinking its the better and easier craft.

its literally not, like, in anyway. Like ignoring that resin is just plastic and these people are using gallons of it to convince folk to give their sponsors, who are one of the larger plastic waste creators, a lot of money. Resin is more expensive to do in terms of raw material and is only getting more expensive as plastic regulations tighten up and require the company's to offset the massive amount of waste they're generating. It's way less easy, once that resin starts curing your on a clock vs being able to just fuck off whenever you like, and if you fuck up an SG piece, Big woop just melt off the solder or retry the cut, it's not going to ruin your entire project, while resin isn't even the type of plastic you can melt and reshape.

and the most like Irritating one, Resin isn't safer to do than SG! it just isn't!

like, here's the thing, you can absolutely cut yourself on broken glass or bump the soldering iron, but that's 2 seconds of pain and a bandaid vs resin, which is a known carcinogen and Ridiculously toxic to the point of the fumes alone making people sick and killing pets. Literally all the safety kit for SG is is a pair of glasses and some gardening gloves (which you resuse infinitely instead of often replacing multiple times a project), resin needs eye protection, full skin protection, a proper n95 or other equivalent filter rated for the hazardous chemicals in resin, and Real good ventilation.

And when you're done you have to clean all that plastic crap up instead of just sweeping a bit.

September 3rd: Danny, age 14, has the accident in the lab that turns him liminal

September 10th: Danny is discharged from the hospital and given two weeks leave from school

September 24th: his sick leave ends, and Danny returns to school

October 14th: Danny sneaks into his parents' basement and releases the ghosts they have trapped in cages. Official birth of the vigilante, Phantom

November 27th: Danny fights Pariah Dark, and wins

December 24th: the Ghost Writer torments Danny

February 12th: Danny's 15th birthday

March 3rd: its been six months since Danny's accident

March 7th: Danny fights his evil future self

May 8th: Danny meets Ellie [age 15] and they become twins

December 14th: Danny finds out from his parents that he's a clone

February 12th: Danny's 16th birthday

Early-Mid April: Danny meets Damian [age 6] :)

Mid-Late April: Damian runs off for the first time, damages Danny's hands the first time

May: Damian runs off two more times in the span of three weeks, he damages Danny's hands both times.

Early June: Damian runs off one more time, damages Danny's hands again, resulting in permanent nerve damage.

Mid-Late June: Damian finally gives up on the League coming to get him and joins the Fenton Family.

July: Damian finally coaxes Danny into letting him come along with him on patrol: Wraith is born.

I Could Not Prevent It. I love this as a title for the episode where Claudia dies sooo. fucking. much.

Yes, it's the clear lie Armand says to get out of being held responsible for Claudia's death. It's his justification, his way of keeping his relationship together. He's the one who speaks the line.

But it also applies to Louis. His choices led Claudia to her death as well. Louis wanted to go to Paris, Louis wanted to be with Armand, Louis refused to listen to Claudia when she told him Armand threatened her and assaulted her. Louis who always put his relationships over Claudia's wellbeing. Louis who started the fire that nearly killed Claudia, Louis who wouldn't let her die human.

Louis could not prevent Claudia's death. He had his heels slashed and the coven was melting his brain. He was as much a captive as she was.

It also applies to Lestat, standing on the stage watching his fledglings be condemned. Able to break whatever control they have over him to run out into the audience and condemn a homophobe, but not able to break it for his daughter. Lestat who abused Louis and Claudia until they had to run from him. Lestat who couldn't tell them the details of his past that may have prevented them from running into danger. Lestat who founded this theatre.

Lestat could not prevent Claudia's death. He was weak, possibly (probably) mind controlled into complacency.

Claudia did not have to die this way. She did not have to burn alive for the entertainment of an ignorant audience. There were a hundred choices, a hundred failures that lead up to this moment. Any one of these men could have prevented Claudia's death, if they had only loved her enough to put her first. Loved her enough to protect her the way they protect each other.

But Claudia was always more a symbol than a person to them. A band aid for a broken marriage, the one good thing to come out of an evil act, a tragedy whose life will be nothing but misery. A companion when there's nobody left, a burden and a nuisance when there's other options.

Even Claudia's death wasn't about Claudia. She was just caught in the tornado these men created. Caught in their cycles of abuse between each other for no other reason then she happened to be nearby.
