I can barely begin to express how much the course of my life has been altered because of a 40 minute highlight video done by @jelloapocalypse and friends riffing over a 20 year old sky pirate game.

I made an off-handed comment after watching it together with two of my longtime friends, about how much I wish I had what Vyrsa had, and one of those friends STRAIGHT-UP TELLS ME that her and her wife have been crushing on me for a while.

The feeling was mutual, though I'd been of course hesitant to even hint at it.

Anyway now a few months later, we're a thruple, and we decided to honor the genesis of our relationship by cosplaying as the trio that made it a reality for my 30th birthday!

PinkCatNinja, me (CatComixzStudios), and ArtieStokes as Aika, Vyce Vyrsa, and Fina respectively, from SKIES OF ARCADIA!

And as a bonus, a comment I left on the video before my egg would crack completely (was still IDing as genderfluid at the time)

tbh i do get a little bothered by the notion that tim took the first shot he had to drop out of school because he hated school and didnt wanna do it and all of that bc i feel like it ignores the probably very important context that he dropped out after his dad (as well as steph-or at least, he was led to believe, in the same week) died, also he was in a school shooting. He did attempt to go to a school in bludhaven but the kids there were so wildly insensitive about the shooting that tim dropped out under the pretense of his "uncle" homeschooling him. In his oyl era, he /did/ go back to school, and it provided him some form of normalcy. Tim was a normal kid, he wasnt crazy about school but he still went to school and it helped him feel like a normal kid, something he desperately clung to. He only dropped out again to do his Brucequest, in an era where he was notably Not Doing Well (which. Yeah. he wasnt doing well bc he was like 17 and almost everyone in his support system was dead, he recently had hits put out on him, got blown up, and backstabbed by his not-dead-ex, he couldnt support his theory that bruce was alive and was extremely stressed about that, and he didnt know wtf he was doing. I love him btw.) Basically tim dropping out of school was a signifier that he wasnt doing well and he was giving up on the normality that he tried to cling to and im a bit of a nitpicky person who gets irked by minor things

Ok so you probably know this already, but there’s a behind the scenes documentary of Top Gun (1986) and it features nearly all of the actors and Tony Scott and others discussing the making of the film. See Part 1 and Part 2 on YouTube, the videos are by link only.

In part 1 of the documentary, Tony Scott mentions that a big inspiration for the overall look of movie came from a book of photography by a man named Bruce Weber. And Tony Scott specifies this picture below as a big part of his vision because one of the models looked just like Val Kilmer, one looked just like Tom Cruise, and the last one was a jock-Rick Rossovich type.

And I just want to say that everything makes much more sense knowing this fact like—

Sigh... right, you're totally right, it's PRETTY PATHETIC AND STUPID ( when I love a character I insult them), and he also feels like that, aaaall the time, partly because of his own actions too.

If he makes a mistake, he'd remember something bad Christina did in the past and throw it back at her. (Yeah, he's pretty vindictive, he's got a selective memory for what he wants.)

If Clay talks about not being a good dad (COUGH COUGH) Orel would say something like, "Yeah, but at least I didn't shoot my son in the leg." (Actually, HE inflicts psychological damage on his kids too, but he's still bothered by Clay talking about it, he's totally blind to it and thinks he’s better.)

Christina often justifies her actions with her past too, haha, what a pair.

My Batfamily piercing headcanons

(note: these are just my personal headcanons)

Dick: Has thought about getting a piercing but always ends up deciding against it because he doesn't like needles

Jason: Got his nose pierced when he was 14 and never told Bruce(don't ask how he hid it idk readers choice). Was pissed to find the hole had closed after his dip in the Lazarus pit, so he got it re-pierced but doesn't wear it often, usually just at night. And no of course it doesn't have anything to do with the fact he still hasn't told Bruce. Nope not at all

Tim: Got his left ear pierced when he was 15 because Steph told him a bunch of other skaterboarders were doing it and he ended up liking it. (she lied she just thought it would make Tim look hot. She was right) He doesn't wear it on patrol or for important meetings, but he still makes sure to wear it often enough to not let it close

Stephanie: Has both her ears pierced as well as a double helix piercing and a smiley piercing. She wants to get more but keeps changing her mind as to where.

Cass: Only has her ears pierced and that's only because Steph and Babs did it for her. Doesn't trust needles (see Batgirls #2)

Barbara: Has both ears pierced and got her belly button pierced when she was a teenager. Her belly button piercing ended up closing after she kept it out too long when recovering from getting shot and hasn't gotten around to getting it redone.

Duke: Has no piercings or a particular desire to change that fact, but he isn't really against the idea either. (Stephanie is determined to get that boy an eyebrow piercing because he would "totally own that look")

Damian: Went kinda crazy with it after Alfred died and he went off on his own. First Nika convinced him to get his eyebrow pierced and it just escalated from there. At present he has a grand total of 7 piercings with plans to get more. His piercings currently include his ear lobes, snake bites, his eyebrow, his nostril, and his septum. When Dick first saw him with all his piercings in he nearly passed out

Bruce: Had some wild teen years and got his ears, tongue, and septum pierced. Stopped wearing them when he traveled to train and they ended up closing. The only evidence they ever existed is a few stray paparazzi photos/videos and Alfred's word(he is sworn to secrecy)

Alfred: Everyone thinks the answer is a big fat "NO" as to if he's ever had a piercing but in reality he has had exactly One. When he was very young, before he met the Wayne's, he lost a bet and let an army buddy pierce his nose. A great deal of alcohol was also involved. He took it out after a few weeks when it got infected because the needle hadn't been sterilized and they were still out traveling around North Africa with little supplies. They never spoke of it again.

'hey what if ghostbusters was actually funny and involved extremely relatable lesbian drama' the new ghostbusters is a masterpiece. it's better than the original by lightyears. it's incredibly fun, the plot and economics of the situation actually make sense, the interpersonal drama is enjoyable, chris hemsworth (or some other chris? i forget) is there being a doofus, did i mention there's lesbians. all i want from a movie is for lesbians to fuck shit up and a hunky guy to take his shirt off and for there to be no rape jokes. original ghostbusters delivers zero lesbians, zero hunks, and really gross sexual dynamics. lesbian ghostbusters delivers lesbians, hunks, lesbians, and i forget what else because it's not important. hell yeah, ghost busters.
