They had a bit of a chance encounter on a day where Blueblood was dealing with something that was very difficult and was so caught up in his emotions he didn’t even care that he was in the garden getting grass stans on his coat and Ditzy, with her natural impulse to cheer ponies up, didn’t even notice or care that she was flying into the palace gardens when she saw someone sat in the rain.

At first he was definitely going to call the castle guards to come apprehend this strange filly with the odd eyes who was intruding when this was the last moment he’d want to entertain any desperate debutantes, however she surprised him by not fawning or anything, not even caring about his status, just putting one of her fluffy wings up and asking if he needed somepony to lend an ear.

“Don’t let my eyes fool you, my ears work just fine!”

She was incredibly disarming and while he didn’t reveal everything about why he was upset, he found himself talking about his feelings to her. And she made such cheerful remarks, and was very comforting. In the end, he felt better and she came to check on him the next day, even sharing a blueberry muffin with him. He remarked that he’d never seen her around before, and that he wouldn’t mind terribly seeing her more often.

The rest, as they say, is history.

fandom psa; there is nothing whatsoever that is inherently "problematic" about shipping characters who are "found family."

Adoption is not found family. A blended family is not found family. A found family or chosen family is a group which, through circumstances or simply mutual affection, hold their relationship to one another with equal care and importance as family members ought to. It's not the same type of relationship.

It's not incest. It's not even pseudo-incest unless you want it to be. I personally don't care what people ship, but I'm absolutely tired of people misusing the term "found family" to just recreate the idea of a nuclear family and force those roles onto the entirety of a fandom. Sure, maybe characters who are found family may view themselves like siblings, or like a parent and child or aunt and niece, but they might also just see each other as friends-- and guess what? romantic partners too! That's technically the most widely-accepted form of found family/chosen family there is!

The whole point of found family/chosen family is to have the importance of "family" on relationships that lie outside the commonly-understood bounds of that relationship. Not to recreate the "mommy-daddy-daughter-son" dynamic with unrelated characters and use that headcanon or fanon dynamic to enforce your own morality or preferences on other fans.

Antis who love to use the excuse of what happened between Anakin and Padmé in ROTS (not the force choke 💀) as proof that they’re not “compatible” because Padmé was against Palpatine and Anakin clearly wasn’t, think they’re real smart, lol. This argument can’t be further from the truth and that’s because, Anakin wasn’t against Palpatine, not just because he was being influenced by him towards the darkside, but also because he truly believed in the “good man” he always thought he was. If it also weren’t for the Jedi Council’s mistrust of Anakin and the poison being fed to him by Palps himself being added to Anakin’s already clouded perception then there’s no doubt he would’ve at least seen a glimpse of what others were seeing too. To Anakin, the Jedi were technically committing treason by asking him to “spy” on Palpatine, and this only added to Anakin’s confusion of what’s right and wrong. However, the moment and I mean the exact moment where Anakin discovers Sidious for being the Sith Lord, he immediately switched up on him.

If it wasn’t because Anakin was having nightmares about Padmé dying in childbirth with Palps being his only way to save her, he wouldn’t have thought a second about saving Palpatine or going to help him. At that point, he would’ve teamed up with the Jedi, AND Padmé, and the rebellion towards maintaining peace and justice within the galaxy. Anakin and Padmé’ views don’t much clash, they have the same set of morals, sense of justice, and strive for peace. They just believe in different methods. But this wasn’t enough to lead them apart, because other than the one time in ROTS which people love to use as an argument against Anidala saying it makes them “incompatible”, there’s literally never a time where they both don’t support one another in what they’re doing and what they believe in. They both trust one another and Anakin says as much in Queen’s Shadow (I know that’s Disney canon, but I felt like it’s worth the mention.)

Bottom line is: that it was circumstances and other outward factors that put Anakin and Padmé on opposite sides. Not because of who they were as people. If Sidious wasn’t hung up on getting his claws into Anakin, there’s no doubt that he’d 110% support Padmé, the Jedi, and the rebellion against Palpatine. So no, whatever went down here doesn’t at all make them “incompatible” 🤷🏾‍♀️

gonna be as nice as i can when i say this. this whole post is infantalizing. let the baby voice out? allow me to let my "adult voice" out, because that is what i am, an adult. that's what we ALL are, adults.

lately on tumblr ive seen an uptick in two extreme dichotomies of femme posts: butches are violent angry daddies that should fuck you hard and merciless and mean, or butches are just sooooo cutie uwu baby-wabies that cant think for themselves and are just soooo so cute to hold and have and pet while trying to give you aaaaall the attention you could ever want >////<

both dichotomies are objectifying, and quite frankly, demoralizing. ive been in the tumblr b/f community since 2019, and this cultural shift is really alarming. i see young butches reblogging these posts and worry that they wont be able to identify objectification when they see it. furthermore, i genuinely worry that theyll integrate this objectification into their perspective of b/f dynamics, and completely miss out on the real ways and feelings of being seen as butch, which is so much more wholesome, validating, loving, and most importantly, respectful than the posts ive been seeing lately.

if femmes keep treating butches like this, expressing their desire for butches like this (in an objectifying, and ultimately self-centered fashion), i fear we will soon see a cohort of young butches that will be reckoning with the damage to their own self-value, self-confidence, and comfort in their sexual and personal identities. stop promoting posts like this. think about how these kinds of posts impact butches, and call it out when you see it. if our community continues to promote and not correct this kind of behavior, it is going to cause some deep damage in the long run.

i had a thought

in the end of dmc 5, Vergil says they need to "seal the portal with the Yamato".

what does that mean. my thought? He isnt just going to use the Yamato like a tool to close the portal. No, rather, the Yamato is like the lock that will keep the gate shut. Which would mean he'd have to leave it behind.

What only added to this thought was the main menu screens of Vergil and Nero or Dante sitting together in the van. This is most likely a stretch, but, Vergil has never been seen without the damn thing in any time he shows up ever; Yamato is nowhere to be seen in either those scenes.

Food for thought? Possible idea for fics?? A completely bonkers theory that doesnt make sense at all??? Idk. All of the above.

I think maybe everyone should cool it with the “weird cult” comments regarding the covert, honestly. It wasn’t that funny to begin with but now that it’s the popular describer it’s starting to become a little uncomfy. No one is forced to join, no one is forced to stay. There’s a ton of parallels between them and real world cultures and religions and I just think MAYBE we need to be a little more aware of what message we’re sending when we say “haha that group of people who are in hiding because their lives were/are at stake and who practice anonymity to survive and follow certain rules that I don’t personally understand or like are a weird cult”.
