It's part and parcel of the lionization of Harriet Tubman, which is actually an extraordinary burden to bear because it still drives her out of the human, to be silent around the safe houses of the Underground Railroad and crafting the legend of a completely immune Black woman. This actually also raises a series of question as to how one decides which house to hide in, how they know they won't be denounced and so on and forth.

A Bad Batch x Red Dead Redemption AU that’s been living in my head for a while 🤠
Omega does not like the names Hunter gave the horses
The Batch is a small time outlaw gang of brothers hiding out as hands on a dude ranch. Trying to leave their pasts as mercenaries behind them. Until they receive a mysterious letter that their long lost younger sister is being housed in an orphanage nearby. After an unsuccessful attempt to legally adopt her, they return later to break her out.
Now they’re all wanted criminals trying to outrun the law as well as their past.

As he went down the wall, lizard fashion, I wished I had a gun or some lethal weapon, that I might destroy him.
-Jonathan Harker, June 29th
And then Jonathan went back to Exeter and they all lived happily (rip nameless mum and the babies)
I’d already had this vivid image in my head of him shooting Dracula during his lizard moments, but then today’s entry came along and I burst out laughing at that line. It seems that my good friend Jonathan thinks the same way I do.

Even a graze would have destroyed Trump's ear, yet the media keeps using “shot”, a psychologically charged word.
