#the system is real fucked

Studying linguistics is actually so wonderful because when you explain youth slang to older professors, instead of complaining about how "your generation can't speak right/ you're butchering the language" they light up and go “really? That’s so wonderful! What an innovative construction! Isn't language wonderful?"

“You can’t be a system!! You and ___ both do this!!!”
We still share a brain.
“You and ____ LOVEEE this!!”
We still share a brain.
“You and ____ talk very similarly!!!”
We still share a brain.

you are not a system without trauma.
your system did not form for any reason other than trauma.
"non-traumagenic" isn't a thing.
"traumaendo" isn't a thing.
trauma survivors shouldn't have to clarify that they're "traumagenic" because people want to roleplay on the internet.
go fuck yourself if you think that "endos" are valid. my trauma isn't a label you can wear.
you can not be a system without trauma.
you can not be a system without trauma.
you can not be a system without trauma.

Does anyone else ever think "oh I don't experience much blackout amnesia, mostly grey-out." AND THEN you get evidence that you did indeed completely forget multiple things and you didn't notice because they were small things??
Like we have so much more blackout amnesia than we are aware of and it's trippy to think about.

I'm not explaining why re-imagining characters as POC is not the same as white-washing, here of all places should fucking understand.
#personal#delete later#no patrick. “black washing” is not as harmful as white washing.#come on guys get it together#seeing people in my reblogs talk about “reverse racism” and double standards is genuinely hypocrisy#say it with me: white washing is intrinsically tied to a historical and systematic erasure of poc figures literature and history.#it is an inherently destructive act that deplatforms underrepresented faces and voices#in favor of a light-skinned aesthetic hegemony#redesigning characters as poc is an act of dismantling symbols of whiteness in fiction in favor of diversification and reclamation#(note that i am talking about individual acts by individual artists as was the topic of this discourse. not on an industry-scale)#redesigning characters as poc is not tied to hundreds of years of systemic racism and abuse and power dynamics. that is a fact.#you are not replacing an underrepresented person with an oft-represented person. it is the opposite#if you feel threatened or upset or uncomfortable about this then sorry but you are not aware of how much more worse it is for poc#if representation is unequal then these acts cannot be equivalent. you can't point to an imbalanced scale and say they weigh the same#if you recognize that bipoc people are minorities then you should recognize that these two things are not the same#while i agree that “black washing” can lead to color-blind casting and writing the behavior here is on an individual level#a black artist drawing their favorite anime character as black because they feel a shared solidarity is not a threat to you#i mean. most anime characters are east asian and i as an east asian person certainly don't feel threatened or erased. neither should you.#there's much to be said about the politics of blackwashing (i don't even know if that's the right word for it)#but point standing. whitewashing is an inherently more destructive act. both through its history of maintaining power dynamics#and the simple fact that it's taking away from groups of people who have less to begin with#if you feel upset or uncomfortable about a fictional white character being redesigned as poc by an artist on twitter#i sincerely hope you're able to explore these feelings and find avenues to empathizing with poc who have had their figures#(both real and fictional) erased; buried; and replaced by white figures for hundreds of years#i sincerely hope you can understand the difference in motivations and connotations behind whitewashing and blackwashing#classic bixels “i'm not talking about this chat. i'm not” (puts my media studies major to use in the tags and talks the fuck outta it)

Tw: syscourse ,
Endos DNI with this post.
Hot take; I shouldn’t have to be terrified to read / like posts. I should have to read the tags to make sure it’s not posted by an endo trying to infiltrate our spaces. I shouldn’t have to fear that the thing I’m gonna read is going to send me into a spiral because it’s gonna be some stupid ass shit about how “traumagenic systems are losers” or whatever the other stuff endos say about us is.
WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HAVE AN ALTER WHO SITS OVER MY SHOULDER EVERY TIME I OPEN THIS APP THAT CAN PULL ME AWAY INCASE SOMETHING GETS BAD.
THAT SHOULD NOT BE A THING I, A TRAUMATIZED SYSTEM, SHOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH WHEN LOOKING FOR COMFORT OR SILLY CONTENT TO CHEER ME UP REGARDING THE TRAUMA FORMED DISORDER THAT WILL FOREVER MAKE MY LIFE DIFFICULT.
“Endos don’t hurt anyone🥺🥺🥺”
yes they fucking do.

"The future is plural" movement from endos is CONCERNING
regardless of the fact they do not believe you require trauma to be a system (medically impossible) this proves they want to groom kids into identifying as endo and spread their medical misinformation further.
as well as causing real systems to believe they dont have it bad enough to be "traumagenic" (the only "genic you can be. this language is bullshit im just using these terms to explain their shit), preventing them from getting real help. they are WIDELY anti-recovery.
their misinformation has ALREADY endangered real systems medically as they have made professionals skeptical of a medically proven disorder, a disorder that is already very stigmatised.
outside of just endogenic misinformation, this statement leads to the idea that they want to traumatise kids to make more systems.
ENDOS ARE FUCKING DANGEROUS

fucking hate having to clarify that im a TRAUMA GENIC system and that i have TRAUMA and am TRAUMATIZED and thats WHY im a system, because of TRAUMA!! endos fuck you for pulling apart our community, systems should be able to tell others that they are systems and not be immediatly fakeclaimed because of endos making a shitty name for us online. dont fucking interact if you support/are an endogenic system.

i’m catching up on tsv, i think something that eskew prod does extremely well is using horror absurdism to capture the absurd horror of capitalism. it’s clear in eskew too, but i think it’s especially fantastic in the silt verses. the casualness with which sacrifice is discussed. how red lobster has a god that has and continues to take human sacrifice, and so do cereal companies, cops, and the grueling start up that has a “fun room”. it captures EXTREMELY well how it feels to live under capitalism, that you’re constantly bombarded with horrible things, discussed cheerily in a nice tone. the way it’s simultaneously numbing, hysterical, and horrifying. i think i was especially fond of how in ep 39, protest against sacrifice was taken as radical, a propostorus, idealistic thing that’s just so SILLY it’s not even worth considering, something that feels very real to revolutionary organizing/protest irl. i also liked how despite the face, when everything gets down to it, when everything is about profit, all people come down to are bodies. all capitalism is a gaping maw, and it eats the poor and marginalized first, but doesn’t STOP eating just there. the very literalized version of this, where the profit wheel (and all that includes— war mongering, the prison industrial complex, wage labor, etc) is given a very real literal set of teeth, but the body count is the same. so the electric company has a god, and so it takes humans sacrifice. do real electric companies not have a very real human cost? overworked and underpaid labors looking to make rent, or well off comfortable employees no less likely to get the axe under profit margins, or the blood shed when colonizing in the first place, in clearing the space for the electric company to move in. is that not also a very real human sacrifice? the commercial aimed at elderly people talking about “back in my day, we would just talk about all this human sacrifice and find a compromise :)” is so bleakly hysterical, but is that not very accurate? that you can put a good face on it, but in the end what it comes down to is that you’re being sold the chance to be human fodder? that there is no glory or honor on a battlefield or in working yourself to death, just mud and shit and bodies to throw at problems. idk! i’m rambling but it’s a deeply engaging podcast.

i don’t know if i dreamed this thought or not but recently i read the most heartwrenching romantic story from a woman’s perspective and it was written by a man. and i read the most excruciating description of being a son and it was written by a woman. and yes the profundity of experience is irrespective of gender but it also has me thinkin abt that “there’s no man quite like a woman” quote and how we understand each other’s shared experiences far better than most think. but there is something about that longing searching quality of trying to imagine across a societal divide; drawing closer to recognizing one another in a truer sense even if we’re taught there is nothing recognizable in each other. there’s a terribly tragic tenderness in the hard work of human connection

shout-out to systems who constantly have a really crowded front room, or have trouble keeping track of front.
that does not mean you are fake and it does not make you any less valid as a system.

Hey just so you know. DNIs exist for a reason. If I have someone who is (Pro) Endo say absolutely anything to me, if that’s in comments, asks, dms or whatever. Don’t be surprised if I’m hostile back.
Respect my fucking DNI, and if you don’t, you don’t deserve MY respect. I will be rude, I will be pissy, I will say thing you don’t like and I won’t care if you call me a bitch! Thanks!
I try to be nice but I just don’t have patience or energy for people who go out of their way to interact whenever I’ve stated I DONT WANT THEM AROUND ME!
So fuck you endos, fuck off if you support endos, you’re not welcome on any of my blogs. I am allowed to be fucking pissed, and I’m allowed to hate you. Block me idgaf. You can’t have a traumagenic disorder without trauma!
Anyways um. To all my fellow traumagenic systems who have to deal with this stupid bullshit, here’s a picture of a random cat :3

word for the wise:
you are not traumaendo just because you have some alters that aren't split from trauma.
alters will split for a number of reasons, and that's okay!
whether it be from stress, or just from something random, it's entirely normal to have alters that haven't split directly from trauma.
that does not make you endogenic in ANY capacity.
please do your research before you start labeling yourself with things like this and spreading misinformation.
here is a link to research on splitting.
