I think this spoke for itself but just in case, here is a short elaboration: if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be this.

He is someone who - despite all of the odds, despite how the world treated to him, despite being ridiculed, subjected to the worst torture known to man(yes solitary confinement is considered one of the most inhumane methods of torture) for over 300 years and had his name dragged through the mud for literal centuries-

-could still smile so brightly and sincerely like that, affirming that he does, with all of his heart, still very much love this world. While I am aware of the amount of WILDLY different headcanons that exist out there for him, which are very popular within the fandom and even taken as gospel, I strongly feel that mine isn't really aligned with some, if not most of the hc out there at all.

Personally, I don't even agree with the canon version of in him ss4.

I'm assuming that you are asking me about my- personal favorite headcanon for him so for now, my answer will be: Ignoring the terrible characterization of him in season 4, my absolute favorite thing about him has to be: Despite everything, despite what everyone says about him, despite how the world perceives him

He is

without a doubt

Someone who loves this world very much.

Again this all ties in with what I'm going to present in my thesis, so I can't elaborate on it too much without giving any spoilers to the case I'm going to present for him. But for now, and especially right now at the time of writing this, they just released another vaguely worded and filled to the brim with plot holes short story regarding his past ... I-- hm I sincerely have no intention to keep up with the series... Therefore my hc will definitely contradict vastly with the horrendous plot holes ridden pre-established canon

-which then made the act of answering to this question exceedingly difficult due to the way I personally perceive him.

To wrap it up, all I want to say is, we could have had it all, a character who would make us cry, laugh and want to root for, had they written him with love and care, rather than trying to stuff him into the shoes a villain, which just felt forced and unnatural. Villains who are terrible only to be stopped have been overdone, and for tdp to be another generic show is a huge waste of potential

Wouldn't most of us have killed for, finally, an antagonist who isn't actually the antagonist but rather the very system that these people are experiencing is the actual villain ? ? ?

Best of all, they could have contrasted this with Callum, our protagonist. In Callum's case, despite being portrayed as one of "the good guys" or "heroes", he has all the reason to hate the world. This in turn create a complex narrative about the nature of people - Or in this case, the hero acting morally righteous despite hating the world vs the guy who was deemed evil and terrible by the world and yet still loves it with all of his heart. It could have been a heart-warming story about how two individuals find their way in this messed up world-- but nope~ non of this is canon :DDD

When in the history of television has any shows have a twist with the "hero" and "villain" ditching their role immediately to become a neutral party to reflect all the flaws in the world they live in? ? ? TDP had the perfect setup, but then proceeded to drop all of the balls spectacularly in ss4...

I always try my best to not touch ss4 but it feels almost impossible to talk about Aaravos w/out addressing the disservice that it did to his character. And that is all, I have to say for now~

Headcanons for ROTTMNTxKHR Flame Types

(Because my obsession with crossovers cannot be contained)

So first off: Leo's GOTTA be a sky. He is The Leader no matter how much he may deny it or wish otherwise. He has be a sky. That said, I do think he has a strong Rain secondary (there are some STRONG Yamamoto vibes right there) and that's reflected in his easy going nature and projected positiveness, but Sky flames are definitely his primary. I think he probably pushes them down though, unconsciously preferring the ease of his rain flames over the responsibility of his sky flames, so while they're his primary he'd likely have a difficult time tapping into them.

(Ironically, I think other iterations of Leo would be more likely to have the reverse problem, easily tapping into their Sky flames but having trouble with the easy-going nature of their rain abilities. Biggest issue here is the utter weirdness of them having an ability that is Not Their Color.)

Donnie's another mix with a Lightning-Cloud combo. Not sure which one is stronger but I'm leaning towards the Cloud end of things (even his mystic abilities work for this, since they tie in well with a cloud's propagation abilities!) but I think he's got enough Mad Scientist Obsession to also have a fair bit of Lightning flames too.

Mikey I think would be primarily a Sun user. His aggressively perky personality combined with his tendency to burn people (figuratively and literally) who get on his bad side just really fits. That said, with his power level he could actually have some sky flames as a secondary, which shows in how easily he can befriend and charm others (and the big fucking tear he made in time in space because sky flames are ridiculous like that). I'm still kind of debating this though, so he might end up being solely a Sun user.

Raph is a Storm user. He smashes, it smashes, he has anxiety, a heck of a lot of storm users also have anxiety- it fits! and it's even his color so 10/10 flame match right there no notes.

Splinter is an inverted-Cloud primary with a Sky secondary. I mean, the guy's literally just Skull for action movies except more willing to fight people. He also seems a lot more interested in long-lasting bonds (his attempted engagement, his kids) which is where part of the Sky flames come in (the other part is that I think they're just hereditary in the Hamato line).

April O'Neil is solely a Lightning user (which is another pro for Cloud-primary Donnie and explains why they get along so well). Her spunky attitude, green theming, and tendency to flit from one job to another (by no will of her own, but still) are all good signs of this. She could also have a bit of sky flames, but they wouldn't have originally been hers: They first belonged to (drumroll please)...

Hamato Karai! Who is 1000% a sky. Girl is the Skyiest Sky to ever Sky. Born leader absolutely filled to the brim with acceptance. Does not give a singular shit if her grandkids are weird mutant turtles and her one-generation-earlier-grandson is a washed up former actor who's also a mutant rat, she is just thrilled that they're alive at all!

Finally, if you're wondering who the Mist is: It's Draxum. Because Mists always get the villain arcs. He's only Mikey's mist though and that's why Leo still fucking hates him. If Leo ever DOES get a mist it's probably going to be Frida (Big Mama's Assistant & one of their two long-lost sisters) or like. idk Heuso. Not Draxum though.

hmmmmm, that's a tough one... should I interpret 'wildest' as most absolutely batshit in general or just when it comes to what the fandom tends to think...

bc I don't conster any of my hc's too crazy you know? They don't really just come out of nowhere, and some of my more rare hc's have become much more popular recently.

I guess some of my more out of pocket hc is Wild being a witch in denial. Like this guy can whip up some crazy potions and everything from his food to his clothes are enchanted, whether it be by fairies or magic ingredients or elementally charged jewelry, this guy is just filled to the brim with magic. Sometimes I think it's funny for him to be in denial about it, sometimes I think he is fully aware. Also adding to this is all the stuff with the champions spirits and their gifts and him being able to see ghosts that can add to his whole witch vibe that I'm so passionate about.

Literally like a few months ago I would've responded with the whole 'The Fierce Deity is not an evil spirit who possesses anyone who puts on the mask and tries to kill everyone else for the lolz' but that seems to be more popular now and thus, less wild. I do have lots of thoughts about our resident mask-imprisoned-god though...

I have so many more thoughts for this my friend, I've been on a really big mythology kick lately and I think some are biting a little worse than others lately (lol).
