god that is a hard question to answer, i love all of my fics a lot bfdgfjhdbghjd i think... the first fic to come to mind was, naturally, my beloved your love is tried and true-blue. normscary <333 AND my glennry soulmate fic as well, so where do we begin? hmmm... the johnny spells thing comes from a very personal space, and its a fic that i thought about for literal years, so its very near and dear to me in that sense as well. and on our dates, it's never daytime is a super self-indulgent fic that i reread a lot because its so perfectly targeted at myself lol same thing for fall (back) in and i love mine, mine, mine for more recent examples. uh. okay thats a lot of rambling LOL those i guess :3

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

Right now, 51! I think i started using ao3 back in college with rvb fic lol. I've since orphaned 2 fics so I guess there wouldve been 53.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

86,956

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Right now, mostly just Twisted Wonderland (and the occasional dndads, I still have a fic in my brain I kinda wanna write for that). Twst was kinda my comeback to wanting to write fics and has been my main inspiration for a lot of things and it's been the most fun i've had writing fics I think, and it's eventually what's gotten me to try to write my first multi chapter fic.

hmmm I do not write much angst, and even when I do it's more hurt/comfort, bc permasads make ME permasad. I think it was my rvb fic "forgotten" - which i always forget was my first fic uploaded to ao3 LOL, back in 2015. ironic that my first wasnt reflective of the tone i usually write for. i don't wanna reread it to check [even tho my fics from back then are WAY shorter] bc im scared to face how i wrote when i was fresh outta hs lol BUT if i remember correctly/based on the summary, it was a doc/donut fic and I think it was about how after doc had disappeared from the future cube or whatever in canon and no one knew he was gone, i wrote a scene of doc getting upset with donut bc Of All People Why Didnt You Notice I Thought I Meant Something To You 😔 kdlsjfkdlsj i think it ended with doc walking off and donut being SAD and idk maybe they broke up, idr if they were 'officially dating' in the context of that fic. but um hashtag docnut for life.

most all of my fics are happy endings with an exception of like one ^ or two lol. I don't know if i can quantify those!

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

oooh ok well there was a dndads oakworthy thing I started like last year but pretty soon after I started it, we started seeing more of hermies forbidden other 'true' personality traits and i was like ruh roh this guy keeps pulling a fast one on me, i dont think the direction i had with this fic is fitting anymore. i had barely gotten anywhere with it and it wouldve been short anyway, but i think about what couldve been.... lololol and then for TWST umm. Hehe. Teehee even. Back during nanowrimo I used that as time to start 2 fics: kalim and the great relationship rescue, which is my current multichap fic about kalisil and jamiazu, it’s got about 3 chapters, and I’m still writing it. AND IM STILL GOING TO FINISH THAT ONE!!! but the OTHER one I started during that time and have NOT posted any of it yet was the stuff with my first twst oc, Char, and his place in my big caterella multiverse ideas lol. I’ve posted a bit about that story idea and done a lot of doodles and brianstorming for it, but I fear it would be too intimidatingly ambitious to stick to and I’m not sure writing one concrete fic is the right medium for it 🤔 plus I just don’t think many people would like it much LOL it would be very self indulgent and tapping into my soap opera brain. I feel nervous when I talk about it HAHDBFNTG so I’m not sure I could commit. But I still have what I wrote, and maybe I’ll figure out another way to go with it or maybe I’ll just wake up one day and say WHATEVER and write it anyway lol. I’ve gotten shyer again so we’ll see 🧍

16. What are your writing strengths?

umm. i do not know if it is a strength but i feel more light comedy and dialogue come more 'naturally' to me, but i do not know how well i actually can pull it off LOL also shorter, contained stories. Everything I write is a one shot, and I’m struggling on my recent attempt at a multiple chapter fic BDBFFBFNGD

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

hrhrnrngm more descriptive writing, i find im in the pitfalls of writing TOO MUCH dialogue. and i also feel like when i try to do more serious tone things it comes off as cringe or trying too hard kFDKLSHFLDSJ. no one's said that to me but yknow. fear and whatnot. also ending the story is. Hard. I feel like that’s always a weak part of my fics bc I sit there like WELL I WROTE ALL MY IDEAS HOW DO I WRAP THIS UP…. I worry my endings come off kind of half assed but I do my best lol 😔✌️

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

like are you asking if i would do it? or how i feel when it's done in fics i read? i dunno lol. i could maybe do spanish bc ive studied it a lot but i'd get nervous i think.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

on ao3 it was rvb bu teeeechnically back in my neoseeker forums days i was in there writing like, animal crossing or harvest moon or pokemon stuff. it was very bad bc i was like 10 years old LOL

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

ohoho ummmm. Well I always have fun writing jamiazu and I’ve written a LOT of those lol. I have a soft spot for The Comfort of Familiarity. That’s one of the ones hats taken me the longest to write because I was really trying hard to handle it with care, as it was a less light tone than I typically do and I was trying to explore the characters and their situation in a particular way that I really wanted to come across well with who reads it. It was hard, and I’m not sure I fully got there, but ultimately I did like it quite a a bit. on the flipside, one of my more recent fics and I think now my longest oneshot to date, Blue Raspberry Mango was VERY fun to write lol. That one’s a lot more like what I typically write, silly romcom style lmao. Cater and Idia goofing, characters bickering, friendship, me trying to sneak in as many side ships into the background for funsies, jamiazu is there, it was a good time. And that one started as a prompt suggestion which I feel like often times I end up struggling with and not delivering super well… but this one ran away from me and I had a blast lol. Idikei fixed me 😌✌️

I think Grants love language is quality time. I mean, it has to be right? Spending time with Yeet and lark and sparrow and terry jr and Nick-just being with them. Even when they weren’t talking, just sitting around a campfire with Walter or kicking a makeshift soccer ball around. And I think that goes for Daryll too. He felt so much pressure from his dad but when they were just outside kicking the ball back and forth not even talking just being together-he felt loved yknow? That’s why his go to move is to isolate. Because he thinks he doesn’t deserve that love he feels when he’s with people 

Nicks? Gifts all the way. You?? Were somewhere? And thought of him? You saw something and actively wanted to make him happy with it? Just because it reminded you of him or you thought he would like it? To know he is a present part of your mind even when he is not there means the world to him. To know that he is cared about beyond just someone to occasionally hang out with (or get high with if we’re talking about pre-Jodie times). Which is why post-Jodie nick had such a hard time originally. He was actively being thought about in a negative light and it killed him

lark…is harder. My first instinct was touch. Hug him and just hold him for a bit. He’s so fucking angry all the time and for good reason but sometimes we all just need to be held and told it’s alright. High fives from Grant after a good pass or a scored goal. Being tackle hugged by his brother just for simply being. But goddamn it if words of affirmation don’t make him want to cry. Him? Doing good? Making people proud? You went out of your way to tell him thanks? Good job? You believe in him? The affirmation that yes, you’re doing your best and maybe you mess up sometimes but that’s okay. You’re trying, and we recognize that

Sparrow? Words of affirmation. You’d think it was touch, and that came in close second but fuck dude, tell him you’re proud of him. Tell him he’s doing a good job, and that you believe in him. Tell him that it’s okay not to have to fix everything all the time. If you listen, he’s always the one justifying things, he’s always the one trying to make things better. But goddamn it tell him he doesn’t have to all the time 

TJ is quality time all the way. he loves sitting and talking with people. About everything. The dumb stuff, the deep stuff, anything and everything that’s on your mind. Bear your heart and soul and know it’s safe with him. He loves feeling wanted, feeling like he’s a safe place for people, which was one of the reasons why he didn’t like Ron all that much at first. Because he used to be Samantha’s safe space. And now there’s this new guy, who’s trying but is just messing up and if he would just SIT and TALK with terry one on one instead of trying to BE HIS DAD, he’d be great

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? *Yes,* absolutely! Honestly, comments (and responding to them) are probably one of my favorite parts of actually publishing fic. I get a lot of joy from writing them, but seeing and hearing from other people that liked them too, or share the same headcanons? *chef's kiss*

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Honestly, probably my most recent one, Her Brother's Keeper. I don't typically write "bad ending" fics, so this one was definitely a big step for me haha

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Again, most of the things I write have happy endings, so this is hard 😂

I personally really love it when "the war is over" and they can finally just get married and be CHILL so I'd have to say either "The Things We Agree to Believe are True" or "The Essential Guide to Avian Development."

8. Do you get hate on fics? Not really, thankfully! I've had a couple comments from John Phoenix here and there but I don't take it personally.

9. Do you write smut? Sometimes! I have a bad habit of writing smut that Must Have 10K Words of Prelude First, and while I am trying to "break" that habit, I actually really enjoy a story to go with it!

10. Do you write crossovers? I actually did write one for the Wright Anything Zine a few months ago! Of course, it was DnDads x Ace Attorney, and I... need to publish it lol

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Ironically enough, it's also the first Ace Attorney fic I ever wrote! It's a farmer Phoenix AU in which Miles also has amnesia, and over the course of his recovery they of course fall in love (dawwww). I would also love to add more to the Elfworth series! I have. His whole life planned out lol

16. What are your writing strengths? To be honest, I'm not completely sure! I like to think I can come up with original plots or ideas, but I know I still have a lot of work to do.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Sometimes I have some trouble connecting my points or writing "effective" scenes, amongst other things. (dang now these questions are making me want to keep up with this...)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I don't do it too often! Typically if I do include it, I'll either use something that is very common knowledge or provide a translation in the author's notes. Having said that, I've written some unpublished stuff for Avian AU where Phoenix and his mother are talking, and in *that* case I just wrote the dialogue in English with a clarification that they are speaking a different language. I'm always so nervous about getting a translation wrong though lol

19. First fandom you wrote for? Ohh man. Probably My Little Pony or Minecraft to be honest. Don't ask; you'll never see them and they're written in missing notebooks anyway 😂

20. Favourite fic you've ever written? AHH THIS IS SO HARD! I love a lot of my fics just so so much. I absolutely adore Avians and the Elfworth series, just because I love writing AUs and coming up with lore and everything. I also really really enjoy Kindergarten Cop and Great Big Leaps because I love writing little kids and how they act because they make me laugh.

I think overall, though, my most favorite would have to be "The Things We Agree to Believe Are True." It was fun, experimental, and just a really euphoric way to write a new story as I was getting through my senior year. I had a blast with it, and I'm always so thankful that it got so much support, as well!

I feel like link is the one taylor gets along best with, so it’s kinda hard for me to see taylor with anyone but link.— BUT ALSO the idea of gothweeb is adorable and i find it kinda funny. they kinda bully each other but it’s fun because i love them. gothweeb is probably my #2 taylor ship. —i feel like taylor and hero was funny but it would’ve never worked out, and it didn’t, and i thought it was really funny. so like, i didn’t really ship it, but i thought they were hilarious.

Link— this is when i reveal my biggest secret… i love gothcleats. i like gothcleats a lot more than i like swiftli. gothcleat moments are more serious and carry more meaning, swiftli if mainly just funny homoeroticism and i love it. i honestly don’t know how to explain why i like gothcleats so much i just do. they hold a special place in my heart. —swiftli is my second favorite. LIKE AHHHHHHHH!!! PIZZA, PISS, HOMOEROTICISM!!!! ALL THE BEST THINGS!!! once again, their relationship is mostly just them being dorky little dweebs and i love them for it. — I LOVE KICKWORTHY… but that’s mostly because it’s basically just me and my best friend and i thought it was funny. i love the joker, my best friend loves garfield, instant win.but in all seriousness, i don’t really have a big opinion on them. i feel like since link didn’t like him at all until after apollo four teens, they dont have a wholesome enough relationship. i know that link has warmed up to herm a lot since then and i find them cute, its just that. — oakicks- i love oakicks and i think that if they polished up their friendship that would be wonderful. norm tries so hard to make everything good for everyone, especially link and herm, but it never works for him. so like, if link had tried a little harder to be nice and include him earlier in the season, it coulda worked.

Oakworthy. i love oakworthy. it’s so dimmed but i also think it’s so cool and i just think it should be 100% canon. i mean, normal has been manifesting it since the dance, so like, cmon. this is silly but Perhaps Relatable so i’ll post her until i get embarrassed and delete it

i get so fucking annoyed with myself when i have to relearn shit that i thought i had kinda Dealt With as a teenager and i think a large part of my depressive episode this past year has been a stubbornness around that, like a need to Dig In My Heels because i shouldn’t have to learn this again. i knew it. i am better than this, etc.

which tbh i do still feel that way?? but i also know i am going to Keep Struggling if i don’t Learn It Again anyway. and also i do know that Life is mostly relearning the same lessons again and again. it’s enough that i’ve identified and begun to really address some patterns in myself in the past few years. but i do think that bc i felt like i was in some ways Ahead of the Curve as a teenager it feels pathetic to come back to the same problems and start from the beginning.

weirdly this is something that like really struck me about the kiddads in dndads. btw. like they are all, as adults in their like late 30s/early 40s, still dealing with a lot of the Same Core Issues that they were dealing with as pre-teens/teens. which isn’t, like, aspirational but it’s kind of comforting, or maybe Humbling is a better way to put it? it is an uncomfortable reflection of something about life that i am really struggling to look in the eyes

like i do think that this is The Thing(tm) that freaks me out about Growing Up— if i have to constantly re-teach myself how to Be Myself how the fuck am i ever going to be someone different. this bitch is NOT exiting samsara. half joking.

Fussa first: God, I need to finish "Shift in Tone" because as I filled out Fussa and Paresse's charts I remembered where I was going with the story. Fussa is great. What do you do when you are helping to destroy the world and suddenly have to 1) keep going to your shitty job and 2) have a fourteen year old who used to be your robot/roommate/paycheck of revenge? Doesn't make me sad as much as I want a play-by-play on what is going through his head because epilogue left Fussa and Rage washed up on the beach before Mizho showed up as the one evil douji user whom I imagine kept her wits about her.

I know Paresse is your man, so this is specifically how I imagine him in SiT. Paresse does make me sad, and post-epilogue is one of recovery in my mind. I interpreted the sin of sloth to be one of apathetic detachment towards oneself and others, so Paresse suddenly having Human Emotions (TM) and experiencing Grief (TM) for things never returning to the way they were hits a chord to me. Suddenly needing to engage with the rest of the world while speedrunning Self-care (TM) and the confusion of oh shit the bigger goal is gone. I didn't act and there were consequences I am only now feeling without Mizho catching what is going on is the snow globe I am shaking him in for a bit before Mizho hauls ass on giving the "Being a human kind of blows, but at least there's penicillin now and the steady betterment of the world fucks a bit." speech amongst other words of encouragement.

I'm so sorry I am obsessed about Dndads and you watch it consume me instead of doing KDU stuff. Keeping the rant short, Walter the Immoral is a side character who used to be a famous swordsmith until the tip of one he rushed to make broke off and killed the great hero wielding it, so he was cursed to be a frog monster essentially and abandoned by his family. In the course of the canonical story, he: adopted an eight year old, build a motorcycle from ye olde medieval material to find his eight year after thinking he had been kidnapped, fended off hired mercenaries trying to kidnap the main characters' five children for weeks on end by himself, lost his legs (and shrugged it off because he built himself a wheelchair from scratch and could still fight), watched his eight year old sacrifice himself (unnecessarily!! genuinely, unnecessarily), and then piloted a mecha in the final fight before ducking out of the s1 narrative worse than he started somehow. I have normal feelings about him (/lying).

If I dwell on how the cast treated his son (Paeden) and him too much, I show my ass on the internet because genuinely what the fuck was that. Thank god Walter is somehow well-adjusted and didn't murder them all in the end. Hell of a podcast (/derogatory).

Welcome to Rieyama, the land claimed by the gods, their strongest link to the prime material plane and the channel through which they reap the benefits of worship, right at the very edge of the vast Hyperion Galaxy.

I usually don’t do this but uhhhh… shameless plug for my DnDads fic Silver Linings! >:) It’s about 13-14 year old Grant and his relationships with Darnell and Darryl and Carol and? Other people! As well as his mental health and stuff.

It’s currently 70k+ words and counting (projected to end at ~100k words; currently at 7/10 chapters). It’s a no-Forgotten Realms AU. It’s sometimes fun but usually angst. There are unfortunately a good amount of OCs, but they’re mostly unimportant and are introduced slowly, so don’t let that intimidate you.

SASHA JAMES!!!!!!!!!! her first appearance is when she interrumpts jon’s statement being like “um actually :)” and argues abt the correct pronunciation of a thing mid recording, she says that she’s “not the bravest person” but upon seeing a weird probably supernatural guy (michael) she fucking goes and talks to him, AND she saves her friend at the end of the season i just!!! love her so much!!! she’s funny and lovely and kind of a jerk sometimes and I.......... Love Her _(:,3)∠)_

others include annabelle and emma!! (morally grey puppeteer lady and manipulative old lady that wants to Know and See what would happen If...)

my favorite male character

probably tim! you know how I love charming characters that are 1. huge fucking nerds and 2. have a sad backstory. That being said the downfall of his character from s1 to s3 makes me... so very sad...... :(, but i still love him dearly <3

other faves include jon and martin, but mostly everything abt jon post s1 makes me super emo and martin post s4 bores me, and since they’re the official couple and most of s5 they’re always together they cancel each other 🙄 (also peter and salesa)

season 1 no fucking doubt. it has all my favorite characters alive and overall i like the plot more (season 3 and 4 have peak character interactions between jon&georgie and martin&peter but plot wise? s1 is the best)

ok so in terms of both statement AND everything else that happens in the ep (bc tma starts as seemingly horror anthology, the stories being the statements), id say ep 88 DIG, bc martin’s voice sounds hot reading that statement and i love it when he’s a bitch to other characters :)

(also next ep in thursday maybe if the stars align and jon and martin take a backseat and let salesa and annabelle be the stars of the episode, i love both salesa and annabelle so much <3<3<3)

JON AND SASHA................................... listen, LISTEN, jon? s1 he’s super uptight and rude and stuff but sasha’s first appearance she just walks right in and they talk and its! fun! yes he’s still dry af but they sound at ease with each other and thats nice!! i just Know they were Friends before s1 and before he had to step up and be The Boss! and then he always praises her a lot when talking abt her (and tim’s) research, he holds her on high regard and I just!!! imagine them having a friends to supernatural investigator buddies to lovers!! season 2 wouldn’t have been as bleak for jon as it is if she were still with them!! jesus fucking christ id kill martin with my own hands if it meant having sasha in season 5 ;_; ;O;

a character I’d die defending

hm............... i love peter but i don’t know if Id die defending him, like yes hes awful but ppl put him as this Horrid Character and its like hm Is He? for me hes just, kinda pathetic when you think about it really, but i still love him bc hes funny and has a top notch aesthetic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

other than him people sometimes take tim (a canon bi character) and ignore stuff from his characterization to make him super sexual and stuff and sometimes its like hey can you shut the fuck up. ALSO salesa!!! he’s been characterizated as morally gray but that deeply cares abt his people and hes nuanced and stuff but now that he finally appeared on the podcast Some ppl are ready to vilify him or to one-dimension him and its like shut up, no, i didnt spend 180 episodes waiting for him to be alive for you to slander him like this

I was gonna say either mercedes or samanta but after some thinking my fave female character is hildy russet :’0 she’s part of a horror prequel of the main campaign (she’s henry’s granny) and she’s the BEST she’s an undercover reporter who talks fast slaps people carries a gun and WILL stop to take a picture of a lovecraftian monster trying to kill her no doubt abt it, i love her.........

ron :) he’s a weird little emotionally closed off man and he’s funny as fuck and also has some of the best character development in terms of his relationship with his step son and i would Die for him. Also henry!!

it doesn’t deal with seasons!! but if we’re talking about arcs, maybe The Lord Of Chaos arc bc I love henry’s sons, or terry’s arc bc again his and ron’s development makes me cry ;o;

Henry’s Father And The Chamber Of Secrets is a GREAT fucking ep i listened to it a couple of times and it makes me tear up everytime in Multiple moments! henry’s va really outdid himself with his speeches there! also The Tower Of Terry bc, yknow, ron & terry development ;o;

cant think of anyone that needs defending! there are some fics that sideline ron as simply “the weird guy who makes weird things” but there’s more to him than that!

-My headcanon of the Oak family being originally from Tennessee (based on the line from ATMOD, Tennessee being “-Where Oaks grow tall”). Yeah that headcanon is out the window. Sounds like Henry’s origin is a lil more fantastical? Maybe Hildy became a traveler after the ATMOD incident?

-I could write a whole paper on Gary. Mostly tho, Henry specifically using “father?”

-Gonna kick Willie straight in the goodies. What the fuck?! Like I knew I’d hate him but, “You should be” “I’m sorry...?” “...Sir.” AGHH he’s the worst. Toxic is right. S/O to ron for using the Thaumaturgy for trickery. A blessing for people in trauma fighting back in what ways they can.

-S/O to the quiet moment where the Big Dogs (Anthony) specifically asked Glenn if they should target his dad, and he said yes very insistently. I’m unsure if this was just Freddie being tactical or if this is related to how it sounds like his dad neglected him. Like the man couldn’t be bothered to interact with his kid in battle. Shrugged off his attack. Bastard Man!

-Bad conspiracy theory time. Bill is actually a construct/ under influence of Willie. It’s not just the names I promise. Just think narratively would be interesting if Freddie’s joke about illusions could be accurate.

-Appropriate for calm emotion to target who it did.

-Doug immediately paid for that failed medicine check, huh?

scoring/rating some podcasts i listen to because I have nothing better to do. it’s mostly my opinion

taz: 3.2/5 balance is a 5 (has some minor issues, but greatly makes up for them), amnesty is 1.5 (2 felt too generous and 1 felt too harsh) (the more i think about it, the worse it gets. the beacon does similarly but better), and grad is a 3 so far (seriously mixed bag. it looks to be getting better, but we’ll see )

(wizzard wizzard productions’) the beacon: 4/5 3.5 for season one, 4.5 for season two. the vas and editing are great and the writing is really good at making you sympathize with characters who weren’t likable beforehand (mostly newt, hawk, and lassie), but bee never really gets called out for her some of her manipulative behavior in s1 (while yes, hawk definitely pushed her and she did occasionally apologize, she never really got grew from it)

dark dice: 3/5 the horror elements and concepts are great, but i’ve only been invested in about two of the pcs (Iaus and Fylgia) so the deaths don’t really effect me

dndads: 4/5 it’s very fun and still has a lot of potential, but as it stands only half of the pcs have really had character arcs

fantasy high (freshman year): 3.5 characters are fun, but ultimately lacking in development. besides kristen, i really can’t point to any moments where a character really took something and grew from it. that’s probably what sophomore year is for, but i don’t have dropout so yeah. pure evil villains can be fun, but the lack of screen time after the reveal kinda just makes the bbeg not very interesting or fun. biz glitterdew is honestly more developed. brennan and the cast are absolutely wonderful though and i can’t wait to see sophomore year when it’s available for free

masks and martyrs: 3.5 the characters are fun and well developed, but the finale with spark’s motivations was a bit ehhhhh. in all fairness, i did skip reagan’s backstory paralogue but yeah

middle:below: 3/5 the concept and characters are interesting, but underdeveloped in s1. i look forwards to the next season, though. also huehue funi sans undertale cat

naddpod: 4/5 the bahumia campaign had some very good stuff and the cast has great chemistry, but it can be very hard to listen to multiple episodes because there’s long combat in almost every episode

quest friends!: 4.8/5 good. shit. may very well end up being as close to perfection as a 95% improvised show can be. only thing bogging it down is the first two arcs and crime and courtship not balancing plot and character in the same scene as well as questionable measures did

the roaring trainers: 3.5/5 not quite a 4, above a three. it’s very fun, i love our good good idiot boys, the pokemon are very well handled, the combat is quick and fun, but it’s still early on and has a tone of aspects to hone
