I have a lot of thoughts rn but the thing that's really sticking is how many people genuinely think Helia is some egotistical asshole who looks down on the other specialists and genuinely thinks he's better than people? It's... a startingly amount of the fandom who thinks this and it's so weird to me. Like... are we watching the same show?

I'm sorry but literally where does it ever suggest that Helia thinks this way? The same Helia who's constantly cheering them on, constantly comforting them, constantly reminding them to slow down and take it easy when they're being too hard on themselves? The same Helia who has a breakdown whenever he makes a mistake because he genuinely thinks the others will think less of him and hate him? The same Helia who constantly compares himself to others while also telling the specialists to not do that because it's not healthy and will only make them feel worse? The same Helia who immediately drops everything he's doing when they ask him for help but never pushes when they don't want it?

And listen, I'm not saying he's perfect by any means. I'm one of the loudest "Helia actually has a lot of problems that the fandom largely ignores" people. But this idea that he's egotistical and looks down on others... it's so weird to me.

I mean this in a nice way but I genuinely think some of you are mistaking his chronic perfectionism, overly critical eye of himself, and acknowledgment of his own abilities for being egotistical. Helia has a bad need to be perfect and reliable and good and he freaks out whenever he doesn't meet his own standards. He's also hyper critical of himself and constantly analyzing his actions and abilities and comparing them to his peers and teachers. This perfectionism and being too critical of himself makes him hyper aware of his own abilities. Helia knows what he can do and what he can't. He knows what the others are capable of and what would be pushing it. That's literally it. That's not egotism??? That's literally just him being too analyzing??? And like I'm sorry but that kind of attitude, while not great mentally, is almost needed in that field because he's one of the few characters who knows where to draw the line so they don't straight up fucking die. Even Riven starts to respect that after getting to know him better.

And I think it's important to note that his feelings about being perfect are never directed towards the others. He never makes them feel bad for not being able to do something. He's never made fun of them or insulted them for not getting something. Out of all the specialists, Helia and Brandon are consistently the ones to hype the others up. Helia has some expectations of them but those are natural ones that come with being specialists. Things that they are consistently able to live up to because it's literally just things they have to do as specialists.

I'm just so confused about why so many people think this??? Is it the later seasons??? What are y'all watching??????? No offense but if you're basing this off of later seasons that's the same vibes as calling Stella a spoiled brat because of s5.

As always you were working in your favorite diner as a waitress. It was a pretty calm job so you liked it, not the night shifts though, because it was open 24/0.

In the few past months you noticed that a woman always came every morning and always on the same exact time. You never really talked to her more than taking her order, you were too busy. The woman was a police officer so she was also almost always in a hurry.

Today was different. It was pouring rain outside and there weren't many people in. However, your favorite costumer came though. She was wearing her raincoat and the hood was on her. When she came in she took off the hood and gave you a small smile. "The usual?" Your voice broke the silence. She slightly chuckled and nodded while leaning against the counter. "I think you already memorized it well, no?" You turned around and started to make her coffee. A soft chuckle left your lips. "How couldn't I?" She smiled before crossing her arms. You turned your head back and smiled at her. She extremely gorgeous and attractive, how didn't you notice this before? You did now.

Silence filled the almost empty diner, the only sound was the coffee machine. "I'm Vanessa Shelly, by the way. How about you?" Her voice was also soothing. You turned back and faced her while placing down the coffee, sugar and milk down on the counter before you and her. "Y/N L/N." You looked down and started putting the milk and sugar into the coffee. "I like the sounding of your name. How old are you? You seem pretty young." She tilted her head to the side while looking up and down at you. She noticed that your uniform were different from the other waitress's. Yours were white, it suited you just well. You were beautiful even in your uniform.

"I'm 19." You smiled and slided the coffee towards her and you put away the ingredients. She took a sip of her coffee. "Then I was right. You are still pretty young." You nodded, your sweet smile never leaving your face. "Can I ask how old you are?" You were slightly scared by asking her. She sounded more older than you. "I'm already 30." She chuckled and put the coffee down. You were slightly surprised by her age since she looked a lot younger. You would have guessed she is in her early 20s like you. "You don't seem like in a hurry like the other days." You mentioned. She looked at you pretty confusedly. "You noticed?" She smiled. "Today is a bit more chilling than the others. I only have some job to do during afternoon." You were slightly surprised by that but you were also happy that you at least got the chance to talk with her.

After the little chat you had with her, you had to go back to the other customers because finally people came in so it wasn't all empty anymore. Some time later you notice Vanessa wasn't there anymore. You sighed, feeling down because you didn't have the chance to say bye to her. You hoped she comes tomorrow like always.

"Baby! Look what I've found!" Your voice filled the house. You were in front of your closet. In your hand there was your old white dress that you wear when you first had your conversation with Vanessa. It was nostalgic to see it again after years of it being at the closets darkest corner.

Vanessa came up to you to your shared bedroom with a small smile. She walked up to your side and noticed the dress in your hand. A wave of nostalgia went through her and a bigger smile went on her lips. "Oh my god! Is that the dress you were working in when we first met? It's been so long since I last seen it!" She laughed lightly. You nodded and smiled. "It's been a while... Should I try it on some time?" You turned around and put the dress down on the bed. Looking down at it, it was still in good conditions, you only needed to wash and it would be better than ever. "I would love to see it on you again." Her voice was filled with nothing other than love. She put her arm around your waist and kissed your forehead. "I love you." You giggled and turned to face her. You put your arms around her neck and gently stroked her hair that was down. Her beautiful green eyes looking into yours and that loving and that gorgeous smile you fell in love with was smiling at you. "I love you too. More than anything."

I only mention it cause it was such a scene and I felt seen.

You sat down in your bed, reaching down under it for your headphones. You pulled out the spikey pair, grabbing your ipod and plugging them in before scrolling through your songs. You clicked your tongue to the beat you preferred, one part of you expecting for it to pull up the exact song you wanted.

Eventually after clicking the button at least 100 times you found Lolita- Lana del ray. You played the song, placing on your clunky headphones before placing them on your head. You leaned back on your bed, grabbing a note book while you wrote some stuff down that needed to be done.

Everyone was quite pushy if you didn't do something, and since Madison was on your ass all the time you had to do it. And speaking of which (Or witch cuz she's a witch 😉), she walked down the hallway, peeking her head through your door with her fuzzy hat and slutty dress.

"Can you go out or something? It's embarrassing seeing you so lonely." She stared at you for a moment, rolling her eyes as she realized you were just ignoring her. She then went back out, her heels clicking and growing deaf as she got farther.

You knew you weren't the most popular.. you were just there. Nothing special.. just a girl. You knew it wasn't the best look for the coven either, but you weren't able to change yourself. The whole point was to be unique. And, you had quite the fan base outside the coven house so you weren't too worried about it.

Soon, as you wrote, you began to doodle. Your favorite thing to write was little sun's and moons. It was a therapeutic thing to do. Sometimes you even put sunglasses on the sun like a child. But, it was still very enjoyable.

So, while you doodled and drew, your door creaked open some, the big bad man standing in it. Or kyle.. it was just kyle.

Little to your knowledge, he had been watching you for a few minutes. He had originally been following Madison for her.. needs.. but he was drawn to the yellow light coming from your room. The white in the coven house was intoxicating.. even kyle knew that, but you had always seemed to make it look good.

As kyle watched, he took note to your headphones in his zombie brain. He couldn't think much, all that was floating around in there was mostly words. Words like big ones.. he still had trouble saying two. Or though.. and the way they were spelled was so much more confusing. Kyle grunted at the thought, closing his eyes with frustration. He couldn't control his body well, and he obviously hadn't caught on to not close your eyes.

But, the grunt caught your attention regardless. Even with the headphones and Lana's wonderful vocals, you still heard the grunt he made. Although, you knew immediately who it was. You looked over, seeing Kyle's hands in his hair as he tugged at it some, trying to somehow calm himself.

You jumped out of bed, taking off your headphones in a flash before running over and stopping him. It was a rule. You couldn't let him hurt himself.. even if it was the most subtle. You weren't allowed to let him. Everyone knew.

"Don't do that! You know that's bad, Kyle." You scolded him, pulling his hands out of his hair as he made a low growl in response. He opened his eyes, closing them quickly again as he tugged his hands from yours covering his face. Great.

"Hey! Hey.. no.. no kyle." You sighed, realizing he was having one of his fits. You stared down at him as he slid down the wall, beginning to cry. He overreacted too much, but he couldn't help it. And either way, his cries were heartbreaking.

You walked over to him, his head peeking out from his hands some, his body flinching in response. You got down to his level, your hands on his as you slowly pulled his hands down, trying your best to comfort him. "It's okay. It's okay kyle. Don't be sad." Kyle's face still had that bruise from the crash, and your heart ached knowing what he had been through. You had to help him in some way, and you bit down on your lip thinking of what to do.

He needed a hug maybe? But he probably wouldn't like that.. good things? Like compliments possibly? Or just talk to him.. help him with words?

"Kyle, c'mon." You stood up, holding his hand while he got up as well, you leading him into your room. Kyle's mind was mostly blank. I mean, there wasn't much to think about for him. When he was angry he'd only be angry because he wasn't able to respond correctly. He knew his reactions were stupid.. or dumb.. or just unnecessary, but he simply couldn't control it.

Kyle walked into your room, noticing the headphones again. He found interest in those.. the spikes enticed him and he felt an urge to poke his hand with them. So, he walked over and did just that, yelping in response. "Hurt!" He pulled his hand back, looking at the headphones as if they had done it to him.

"Kyle! Oh my god.. you can't do that-" Kyle picked up the headphones, being very sure to not touch the spikes as he looked as if he was about to smash them. You snatched the headphones, watching your ipod fall to the floor from the headphones still being connected.

"You can't do that either.." you sighed, picking up the items, setting them on your bed before putting yourself on it as well. You looked at Kyle's face, his tears gone and his eyebrows furrowed. He seemed angry? Jesus.. what was it now?

"Why?" He asked, sitting down on the bed, almost making you leap up from his weight. He was a big guy.. Definitely not the one to get in a fight with. But he was a sweet little guy.. despite his anger issues and fits he was the equivalent to a lost puppy. A cute puppy.

But, besides the point he was obviously confused. Maybe he just didn't understand you..

"It's bad. If you break the headphones then they'll break. And I'll never be able to use them again." You smiled slightly, kind of irritated by him. You never really interacted with him so you never really knew what to do. But, you did know not to let him throw a fit. One thing you were told to do was be happy. Or look smaller.. less threatening. Even though he was fucking humongous, it was better to seem like a bug rather than a bigger threat.

Kyle really wasn't a big bad man. He was really just misunderstood. Poor guy never even got to experience life. And he died trying to protect Madison. Only if he knew what she'd do to him. Kyle was just a sweet guy trapped in some zombie body. That's why it was important for you to make him learn how to talk. So he could express himself correctly.

"Why don't we watch something? Like uhm.." you weren't too sure what was appropriate for him. Dora? That was so childish though.. but maybe that'd help him. "Dora?" You suggested, Kyle seeming even more confused. "Doooooor...ahh.." he sounded it out, but he clearly had no idea what that was. Without even being able to think of something, Kyle snatched your ipod, holding it in his large hand. Hot pink... classy. Kyle looked at the song playing, it being well.. a very attractive woman in his opinion. He stared for a moment looking. "Who is?" He looked up at you, his hand barely clutching the ipod. He would've crushed it, and he knew it was dear to you. Especially the headphones.. he didn't like when people got mad at him. He tried to prevent it the best he could.

"Lana del ray.. but let's do something else. Do you know your abc's?" Kyle shut that idea down immediately. "No." He moved his hand away from yours, still holding the iPod as you tried to take it from him. He wouldn't let go.. "come on kyle.. give it back." You said sternly, holding out your hand as his empty eyes stared back. "No.. who is?" He asked once more. You sighed, looking back at the ipod before shifting back up to his face.

"She's a singer. She's like really popular.. now give it back." You thought for a moment, but then realized being nicer was better. "Please?" You added, looking up at him with a smile. Kyle looked down at the ipod, then at the headphones connected to them before picking them up and looking. He was also very careful not to touch the spikes. He wanted to do what you had been doing earlier. He wanted them on his ears.. but he wasn't sure on how to put them on his ears.

"H-help." He was still learning that word, so he stuttered a little but the point still came across. You looked down at the headphones, then back up at Kyle. Letting him listen to one song wouldn't hurt. "Okay, but just one." Kyle's eye brows furrowed. "One song... sorry." Kyle was still very confused. He had no idea what a song was but it seemed really hard to spell.

You picked up the headphones, Kyle growing a little smile as his dimples peeked out. It really was adorable.. he was so cute effortlessly. You couldn't disappoint his adorable face. That would be a crime, so you placed the headphones on him, Kyle trying to get used to the feeling. You looked at the song that was playing and paused it, thinking of what to play. Lolita..? Maybe he'd like that? I mean, it was catchy. He'd probably get accustomed to it, so you went to your library and looked, the little click of the button ringing in your ears.

You found it, clicking on it before it began to play. Kyle's face still had the slight smile, but then his brows furrowed some, his mouth opening slightly. "Ooo.." he mumbled, his eyes traveling the room as he listened to her. He was clearly beginning to like it because he started to clench his fists to the beat. It was a little weird to watch.. you couldn't lie, but it was adorable seeing him enjoy something.

You giggled some, seeing his face turn into a smile as the song got even better. "Like." Your heart almost collapsed. He was so cute.. so adorable. Like a little kitten. Or a puppy.. your heart was healing just watching him listen to the song. But, soon it came to an end, but thankfully another song was to the rescue. Another Lana song played, and Kyle was quick to like her.

He grew more excited, but everyday would end. End with him going to your room and listening to songs. You wondered how he'd freak out if there was speakers. Or if you got a picture of her. Mainly you thought he had maybe a little crush, but that was his business. Either way, he looked like an adorable little man listening to Lana del ray. Honestly, he was slowly turning into the perfect boyfriend.

I had this random fic idea where reader and ellie go to a spiritual/metaphysical shop. ellie finds it so cute how the reader is so excited about buying books and crystals. the crystal reader really wants is a little pricey so she decides not to buy it but ellie goes back for it 🫶😭 (sorry for this horrible explanation but if ur looking for ideas i thought this was a cute one)

Unpopular Marauders opinions

i'm bored so here are some opinions that i'm too scared to say on any other platform

Deciding that Pandora Lovegood had to be from a death eater family (Rosier, Malfoy, Lestrange) was the worst thing this fandom ever did to her character

The fannon characterisation of Marlene McKinnon gives me massive self inset pick me vibes and i hate every part of it (and i really mean every part of it)

This fandom isn't misogynistic y'all are just too demanding and expect the fandom to be the exact same as any other where we have a hardcore cannon source for every one of these characters and ships. we do not. we know more about Barty Crouch Jr then we do about Marlene McKinnon, Mary MacDonald and Dorcas Meadowes combined. it's unrealistic and stupid to expect everyone to care about the same characters and ships to the same capacity as you do when we are not watching/reading the same thing. (if any of that makes sense)

Barty Crouch Jr, Evan Rosier and pretty much every single other death eater were villains. it's okay to like them and want to expand on them but stop trying to make every bad guy secretly good

We cannot keep blaming Dumbledore for everything. Dumbledore had nothing to do with half of the deaths that you are accusing him of. blaming Dumbledore and headcannoning that he obliviated Mary and turned Regulus away and all that takes away from everyone else's characters, sacrifice and choices

The Marauders weren't child soldiers. They had a choice on if they wanted to join the Order or not and they chose to because they're Gryffindors and they're The Marauders and probably thought of themselves as some invisible hero's. They don't need to be seen as victims to Dumbledore for them to be tragic

i played attack of the friday monsters to saturday the bonus stage and you know what this game feels like? it's like a game adaptation of a nonexistent movie older than a decade that you keep close to your heart because you watched it so many times as a kid but forgot its name after a few years

then when you randomly scroll through social media, there it is, the childhood movie you love! then you google it to confirm it is the exact thing you cherish and see some adults not filled with whimsy rate it a 4/10

later, you rewatch the movie filled with joy and end it with joy too, what were those losers rating it low thinking? then you read through the wikipedia page to see more info on it and it turns out there's a game adaptation so you go to get it just to see what it's like

you finish it and it's great, not as great as the movie but it didn't cut anything too important out, the graphics are as beautiful as the source material, they even made the fictional game playable, and got the original voice actors

sorry for the essay but i just had to describe this super specific vibe im getting from finishing this game, maybe this is vision is from a past life idk

I have it on the switch, it cost about $60. I think it's wonderful but holy shit sometimes I make bad purchases. I think there might be a steam port? so uh. you know. wait till that goes on sale.

for what motivates me… i guess this is a little exposing😭but it explains why i write a lot. out of an abundance of issues past and present, and not much support irl, i fixate on media and fictional universes heavily, and aot is my biggest fixation. i’m kind of constantly treading a riptide of emotional shit, and fiction has always helped me to cope. so when i feel any sort of way… bc im not good at working through or expressing myself… it’s easy to create scenarios out of that.

i have really strong emotions too, so feeling a certain way helps me think of plot ideas that relate. creating is my coping mechanism definitely, but it’s also vital to me being able to express myself.

with the state of fandom, i try not to look forward to interactions that will make me excited to have shared something, but it’s super rewarding when that does happen, so that’s a motivator too.

i get ideas the same way i think most creators do. based off experiences, like a single moment that kind of stains my memory that sticks with me.

DEFINITELY from other media i consume (especially fiction(??) podcasts but im getting back into reading real books). sometimes songs.

i’m really introspective in general which makes me good at various aspects of writing imo. whenever im doing anything (like going out for a walk or something) it’s really easy for me to imagine additional context / characters in a fictional scenario for some reason, so that helps.

if im doing something boring or tedious like sit in traffic i can daydream about a wip and the continuation of the last thing i’ve written for it. it’s like throwing events at the figurative wall and seeing what strikes me as fitting, engaging, or w/e.

for planning, i think im in-between vibes and proper planning lol. i would be noooowhere without outlining at least a little. stick little ideas or things i want to have happen in the order it fits, and sometimes separate them into sections so that writing it seems less intimidating and the process more rewarding. sometimes i write stuff out of order and go with the part i most want to write (which side note i believe is important, if not necessary to helping cure writer’s block).

i almost always have one chapter planned ahead of the current wip, but i play really loose with whatever ending im seeking in exact detail. because in general, it almost never goes the exact direction you planned lol.

so loose outlining! i always have a folder for a fic to throw in ideas or stuff to remember for the future. editing takes far longer than writing for me, just because i fully believe in the fact that being a perfectionist while writing is enormously unhelpful and rly creates stagnation. when i want to use a word i can’t think of, i just put in a placeholder to fix later. having the writing WRITTEN makes striving for perfection much less taxing.

when there’s several characters to keep track of, or important aspects to remember (ie, a character has a drink in their hand), i make a note so i don’t get confused or create inconsistencies.

i write on my phone and computer equally🤷🏻a lot of times with headphones in. it doesn’t matter so long as i have a set time from start to stop that im only writing and nothing else.

okay so far i really love amnesty and it's so different than i expected. let me dump my thoughts

first off. beforehand, the title "monster of the week" completely misled me because i really thought that meant there would be a new monster every single episode, when really it's just a bunch of mini-arcs exactly like every other taz story lmfao. and now that im in it, im really enjoying the MotW game because it lends itself so well to the narrative and i feels so easy to interpret and understand.

the pcs are fantastic... i adore duck so much, what a guy!! beacon is the coolest 😭 and there's something about the way travis plays aubrey that feels so genuine and lived-in and very endearing. that highly impulsive bisexual 20-something stage magician just leaps off the waveform

ned is fun but i think he's my least favorite clint pc because i often get annoyed by the terrible lies clint comes up with that are so extreme just to be funny it ends up being not funny at all... and so far ned's class has hardly been used at all, his backstory as a criminal serves the story well but it feels like the class itself isn't very useful. though some of his decisions have been very very interesting and compelling to me, like sacrificing his car, and taking the hit to stop the goatmen from escaping. also if he kept his loot from the night he robbed aubrey's house, does that mean he still has the flamebright pendant?!? bitch give it back

but anyways i love the worldbuilding so much and the setting and the town. very cozy fun good vibes

the NPCs. oh my god the Npcs i love them so much. i would die for momma and barclay. minerva has my heart. im so thirsty for more dani scenes. heathcliff is a fantastic char. i've only had indrid for like 3 episodes now but if anything happens to him or he leaves town, i will explode. and billy??? my sweet billy??? i am extremely invested in billy's wellbeing, what a darling.

one random thing. the boys never asked about how the sylfs get their magical disguises. and after they met indrid, they lied to barclay about going to meet him, as if indrid is some secret stranger. none of the boys said anything about how it seems very obvious that indrid is the one who gives all the sylfs at amnesty lodge their disguise accessories so im not sure if they've realized... maybe it's just too obvious to point out lmfao but like why did they lie about where they were going? anyways whatever

i have a lot of thoughts about the story that are kind of jumbled. there's just a LOT going on. it's increasingly sus to me, all of the similarities between the abominations and the sylvan world. somehow the abominations DON'T come from there, even though they have the exact same goat people and the exact same black slime as the corrupt sylvan forest (i can't remember what it's called).

overall, very fun campaign. so many good goofs. im having a great time

thoughts on today’s volume: FB really thought we would enjoy playing this? 😭 it’s an afterparty, so where is the party? nothing about this was fun, and i could not give less of a shit about uma’s relationship drama. they’re seriously killing the vibe, i think alex’s angry sprite had as much screentime as my LI

uma and her partner (in my case, alex) need to get stuffed, break up and go home already. i actually like uma but i can’t defend her behaviour here. she cheated on her partner, and idk why we’re forced to take her side. i didn’t even want to buy the scene to defend uma when estelle is dragging her because estelle was 100% correct. i did anyways, only because the Uma’s Partner version of alex doesn’t deserve happiness

moving on. the paywalling this season was already bad, but these two episodes take the cake in terms of…i don’t have the words to explain it. shamelessness? something along those lines. i cracked tf up at this:

pay 17 gems to change the colour of your LI’s shirt (i saw people on bonnie routes say her outfit didn’t even change)

pay gems for an ugly & poorly designed sun/moon necklace (that’s coming from someone that loves the sun and moon) i can see the moon face but like, that’s just a sun 🌞 it also makes no sense that all the LIs give the same exact gift. it could’ve easily been different types of matching necklaces, like the S4 bouquet from your LI
