Batman in the Timestream. . .but make it No longer you from Epic the Musical!

So I got a MARVELOUS idea! . . . .or I hope it is anyways-

SO, for some context. This is set, as it says in the title, that this post is based on Bruce´s time on the Timestream, with a take on the song "No Longer You" from Epic: The Musical. One of my personal favorite songs.

This is set when Bruce arrives to the Puritan times. Mind you I investigated about Bruce´s time on the timestream and found info of various comics. So,anyways here it is!

Mordecai is the way Bruce called himself in the Puritan times, Annie is a witch, Bruce doesn´t know this. . .yet-. Nathaniel is the name of one of Bruce ancestors, a witch hunter. This first part is set on the small colony of Gotham.

Mordecai isn´t sure what to think, Annie told him that he had this old aura, he doesn´t undestand what she means by that. In fact he actually does not understand much things, or he does not remember them at all. All he knows is that he arrived to the small colony of Gotham from. . .somewhere. . .₴Ø₥Ɇ₱Ⱡ₳₵Ɇ ł₦ ₮ł₥Ɇ--

He hisses and brings a hand to his head. Everytime he tried to remember something from his past, from where he came from or something else about himself. . .every damm time he gets a strong headache, that he feels his head is splitting on half.

Annie looks at him worried, she then brings a hand to lay it on top of Mordecai´s own, she feels his pain and silently tries to ease it with a spell. . .

Annie: "Mor? Are you alright? What has caused you anguish?"

Mordecai shakes his head, brushing his thoughts aside and give Annie an apologizing look.

Mordecai: "It is nothing Annie. . .I. . .I apology for causing you worry"

Annie: "Nonsense, allow me to worry for the wellbeing of my savior. . . You should rest, perhaps. Nathaniel has had you busy requesting your aid for the latest witch hunt. . ."

She hisses the name of the man, oh how she wished to get rid of that man. . .to get rid of every witch hunter in fact. Fools! All of them! How could they not understand that magic itself was not a form of the Devil?! It was a gift from nature! . . .Ah well maybe she could find a way to bring her dear Mordecai to her side at least, get him away from the influence of that Nathaniel Wayne and help Mordecai understand that magic is good.

Mordecai blinks at the sight of Annie mumbling to herself, a thoughtful look on her eyes. . .he decides to ignore that and take her advice. Maybe Annie is right afterall, he has lacked sleep this days.

Mordecai: "I shall take your advice, dear friend. I´ll head to bed"

Annie bid him a goodbye as he make way to his given place. When he arrived to his own bedroom he laid on his bed and look up at the small chandelure that hanged from his ceiling.

He finds himself at peace. . .but at the same time he is not. He feels that Gotham is his home, he has this sense of familiarity, a clear sign that he belonged here despite is lack of memory. . .but at the same time. . .he feels that something is missing. Like something is really wrong in this place he now called home.

If only he could ever remember who he was before. . .He sleeps that night calmly. . .or does he?

Days later a trial is held for Annie. . .she is accused of witch craft. Nathaniel hung her not before she cursed his entire name and legacy.

Mordecai didn´t understand why his heart clenched and he felt betrayed

He felt like he was on the water. . .he felt no ground under his feet, in fact he felt himself. . .slowly falling. . .

He felt pain across his body and he sensed a tight clothing. Was he changed into a new witch hunting uniform? He felt something on his back, a coat perhaps? It was getting cold lately. . .

His earing picked up various voices, but he could not recognize any of them. . .they felt distant but closer? They were shouting something but he could not understand. . .He then tried to open his eyes but everything was foggy. . .everything was slowly turning black. . .

Then he managed to distinguish a pair of bright red glowing orbs. . . as red as the flames that consumed any witches that the hunters managed to find. . .he did not like that nor the orbs, when he saw them he felt a shiver down his spine. . .his insticts screamed danger...

A sharp pain envolved his whole body at that moment, he wanted to scream in pain but he couldn´t. . .something did not allow it. . .then he felt himself falling again. . .cold. . .hurt. . .lost. . .eveything was dark

He then heard a soft voice, a soft mumbling, he felt a warm embracing him. . .huh, this warm was cold at the same time. . .but instead of the previous cold that was unbearable this one. . .this one was nice. It was a nice mix of cold and warm. . .he then heard sobs.

Was the warm presence sad? For some reason he felt the need to embrace them, to comfort them. . .he managed to extend a hand to where he sensed the presence. He didn´t want them to be sad. . .

He then saw to bright ice cold blue orbs light the darkness he was sorrounded by. . .those were eyes. Icy blue eyes that shined like a beacon in the darkness. . .

Anyways! This is the part 1. The song "No longer you" will actually be on part 2. But I got creative and decided to dump the context of my take first.

Danny blinks down at his chest, poking at it for a few moments. Despite it appearing like an opening covered by glass, it felt the same as the rest of his body. Squinting at the mirror, he poked at it again with a frown. 

Well, when Clockwork told them there might be effects from him accepting his ghost adoption, he wasn’t expecting this. On the other hand, he could see the time medallion in his chest now, even if the pattern in the center is different now, now with his own symbol on it. Huh…

Oh well, as long as he doesn’t permanently lose his legs or something, it’ll be fine. O-or start time travelling accidentally, that would be… horrible to have to explain…

Nevermind- dimension travel is way more of a headache- Daaaaad come pick him up he’s scared-
