You were excited, nerves fluttering in your stomach. Anxiety always ate at you before a show, no matter how much you enjoyed yourself. "Hey Egg!" You hear Tony shout from the van, "Quit slackin' off and come help us!"

I’m a sucker for Steve learning about the party’s interests, do you have any thoughts about the kinds of things he’d do for each party member? (E.g. he has the ability to recognize tony hawk, despite his inconspicuousness, because of max’s skateboarding)

Actually now I'm obsessed with the idea that Steve is one of the few people who are not personal friends with him who is able to identify Tony Hawk without a skateboard. Like. Steve is an athlete and respects athleticism, and gives credit where it is due. (He does NOT allow making fun of Olympic athletes, even the weird sports, just because some people don't appreciate how hard you work for it.) So he's like "wow that Tony guy sure is talented. He is so high in the air. Good for him." And never forgets his face. At some point someone shares one of those "didn't recognize actual skate legend Tony Hawk " stories except it ends with "and then the guy in pastels standing beside Eddie Munson slapped his (Eddie's) chest and went "hey!! That's Tony Hawk!! Let's see if we can get an autograph for Max!" And I realized I had been making awkward small talk about cocktail weenies with sports legend Tony Hawk while working up the courage to ask Eddie Munson for an autograph."

He also tries to learn how to Ollie but he's actually really nervous and wears all the protective gear possible and is only able to go forward. (This is from my personal experience being post concussive and not a good skater. It's scary! My brain meat is delicate!) But Max tells him it's okay and talks about the skatepark in California and some of her old friends from there, and he tries to teach her how to make fried rice.(one of the only actual meals that isn't breakfast food he can cook really well completely from scratch) She gets him to do her hair with El because Steve is the only other person who understands that for El hair is a means of control, and that taking care of it is something important to that feeling.

He and El do jigsaw puzzles together and listen to folk music I think. El would appreciate having the option to talk or not, and likes listening to Steve talk too. Also I like jock El so he gets her overly invested in the Cubs like tells her all the lore and she's obsessed with the goat and she joins a softball team. When she first yells at an umpire for a bad call Steve almost cries of pride. Like. Finally. He's not the only one who Gets It.

Lucas and him bond over basketball yes. But Lucas doesn't yell at refs, and Steve gets why but thinks it's very fun when people yell at officials. Also I think they watch clouds together after practicing. Just nice peaceful, laying on warm blacktop and staring at the sky. Maybe El joins them and Lucas and El can bond this way too. Steve and his little jock siblings. (Why does no one consider max a jock for skateboarding? I guess it wasn't really seen as a sport for a long time...hm..)

Steve also bought a flat of new coke before they stopped selling it and keeps it for Lucas on movie nights or whatever and everybody always yells and groans because where is getting that!! It was discontinued!! Also they watch anime together. Erica and Robin join.

I can see him getting into some video games with Dustin and Mike and Lucas. Only the two or more player ones though he doesn't like playing alone. Like. Okay this whole post has anachronisms but please imagine him playing Lego Star Wars (complete saga) with Dustin. The chaos. The yelling.

He's absolutely a pinball guy. They go to the arcade and everyone does their thing but then end up cheering Steve on as he goes for idk star trek pinball glory. Without even tilting it! Idk what to tell you but Steve def loves pinball.

Also before his dad cut him off or after he gets some kind of inheritance he does a very financially secure impulse buy: he purchases an arcade game. Full size. I am partial to Asteroids because that's what my dad impulse bought in the 80's and had it in our basement growing up but let's keep this going he has a themed pinball machine. Icon.

He 100% reaches Dustin to drive. Mrs. Henderson asked him because Steve just looked sad when she mentioned teaching him and she was like well...we could BOTH teach him :) (because she has mentally adopted him. She told him to call her Ma and he does and Robin is like Steve. That's your mum now. And Steve's like no... Everybody calls her that. And she saysnSteve. Only Dustin. Her actual literal son. Calls her that. Guess what that makes YOU.)

Steve and whole party Lego Building Buddies? Mayhaps?

I wish tamagotchis were out in the 80's because Steve would be so diligent a Tama babysitter Erica would sell his services to her friends if they needed it lmao. He'd get all squinty and concentrated you know he'd highscore jump rope but not get the shapes game (me too buddy). Alas. Not to be.

Instead he listens to her talk about her elementary and middle school drama while looking for four leaf clovers. He also has watched MLP with her and may have teared up a little. Also, of course, she is his one true Game Master. Sorry Eddie

Mike is harder...maybe they bond over making snarky comments about people in movies, and then talk about how actually is car racing a sport? And it'd be sort of awkward because Mike has Nancy as an older sibling (even if they don't get along) and he's holding on to animosity that's pointless now. Plus Dustin and Lucas both seem to see Steve as a big brother and friend figure, but like. It's a bit weird for Mike. But still, Mike knows if he bikes to Steve's at two am he'll be hauled in and forced to sit down and asked if he wants a hug and hot chocolate.

Same with will, except Will has Jonathan (El does to but it's different) so at first they're sorta🧍🧍 staring at each other. Steve has to be like sooooo wanna. Tell me about Wizards? Or something? Cool...rocks? And Will would realize that this guy's just, y'know. A guy. Probably similar to Mike except he's not begrudging about it.

I guess a lot of Steve and the party is him listening to them and letting them actually be silly and kids, making snarky comments about the highschool dramas happening, and encouraging them to try different things (he did!) And figure out what they like outside of what they think the rest of the party likes.

Also, one day, Elias coming home early to Logan and him having an at home date. BF very much now scared, cause army officer dad, but while Elias is staring at them, he's just trying to figure out if "close friends or date???", paired with "is my son gay?" He looks frightening to the fbbf, but he's just confused. Logan noticing and clearing it up that this is the footballer he mentioned and between the lines that they might be on a date, Fbbf even more scared, Elias is delighted and just invites him to stay for dinner and then very quickly leaves them alone with "don't let me interrupt you". It is now fbbf's turn to be confused. Logan's explanation "dad is just chill like that, he still might ask you a lot of questions later, nothing bad tho"

Sad add (I'm sorry, but i had to): during ODIN while trying to run to safety, Logan and Hesh pass his remains, which stops Logan dead in his tracks, before it was just get himself+family to safety, not thinking about anything or anyone else til he saw him, which crushed him a bit, probably would've died too there or atleast gotten badly injured if it weren't for Hesh, who pulled him along with a "i know it's hard, but you gotta mourn later, now we have to get out of here"

That or they lost contact after cause Logan got into the army and he didn't (but that ain't as drama as that he died, yk, gotta have the drama)

He'd be more likely to kill the boy than I am. Oh but that's if they're even dating, should I ask? Would that be rude? And should I ask Logan or the boy? David might know but that would definitely be rude."

Then Logan's like "I've told you about him." and Elias is like "Oh THAT boy. Yeah sure, this is fine."

NOOOO YOU FUCKIN KILLED HIM OHHHHHHH MHYYYYYYY GAHHHHHD.

Oh but hear me out: They don't see him during the strikes but they go to a refugee/rescue/relief center and see a body there wearing his jacket or some shit (while otherwise unidentifiable.) which is a detail that could later be used to set up some mystery as to whether he really died or not because yk a jacket isn't very solid marker for a persons identity and because things are still very tense Logan does get rushed away still and can't double check or some shit.

My brain has decided that it wants to start a new fic even though I’m currently writing one 🤷‍♀️

A Captain America AU popped into existence in my brain today and I will be writing it but for now, here’s the character list

Steve is Steve Rogers: this feels self explanatory but only child with a desperate need to help others, pushed into the spotlight with a forced persona, deeply lonely

Eddie is Bucky Barnes: this is mostly because of the Kas theory but also because Bucky is headcanoned to use a lot of pet names too

Chrissy is Peggy Carter: there won’t be any Steve Peggy romance but Chrissy feels like such a perfect match for Peggy

Vecna/Henry is Redskull: duh

Robin is Sam Wilson: I was torn between her being Nat or being Sam but I decided that her personality matches Sam better

Nancy is Natasha Romanoff: see above reasoning

Jonathan is Clint Barton: I’ve decided to just make a big polycule so I can have all my marvel ships be happy

Argyle is Laura Barton: see above lol

Hopper is Tony Stark: dude was held captive by a foreign power for information, that feels like enough

Joyce is Bruce Banner: she just has the vibe I guess

It would take place in 2016-2017 just like s1 of 13 reasons why. Mike and Will share a job at the movie theater. Will goes through a lot and if you have seen 13 reasons why you’d kinda get the plot from there.

Will ends up k*lling himself and he leaves tapes for everyone that caused him pain. Mike, who was/is in love w/ Will wants to give everyone that hurt Will consequences. Mike would be in the tape though since he is playing Clay.

This au would probably be very similar to 13 reasons why just character changes and the things the characters have done. It would be a very very sad au since 13 reasons why is, but i would fucking love it.

do you think there will be deaths in stranger things next season? if so, who do you think might die? do you have any headcanons for those deaths?

oh, I definitely think so (and I kind of hope so, to be honest)

Furthermore, every season has at least one death that has a huge impact on fans; Bob, Billy (yes, he was a terrible person, but his death impacted the audience in one way or another), Eddie, Chrissy… But for this season, I really think that one of the main characters is going to die (or at least should, even if it's just for the "shocking the audience" thing or whatever, like they did in Avengers: Endgame with Tony's deaths and Nat) Anyway, not that I really want one of the main characters dying, but if I had to bet, they could all fall victim to Vecna, and almost all of them would die to save another character. For example: Mike, Jonathan and Joyce would sacrifice themselves to save Will and El without even blinking. They would also sacrifice themselves for the other characters, ofc, but especially for them. Steve would sacrifice himself for Dustin without even thinking, and he would sacrifice himself for everyone else, of course, because that's who Steve became (but especially for Dustin) we've already seen that Hopper and El are willing to sacrifice themselves to save everyone else, so I think at least one of them could die Nancy would die to save Mike, without a doubt, and also Jonathan, and probably one of the other teenagers, after all she saw them grow up and there would be all that guilt stuff Robin would die to save Steve, Nancy and Vickie, mainly.

Lucas would die to save Erica, or his friends, without a doubt. just like Dustin would die to save his friends and there's that post I made a while ago, that Max would help El from where she is and in the end she would ask El to let her go I think that's it. like I said, I don't want any of them to die, but I honestly don't trust the duffers to keep them all alive in the end.

Communicate with me! I will not know what is going on if you don't communicate. If there's a scene you want to do, if you have to be offline for a while, etc don't be afraid to talk to me! I will do the same.

I welcome any and all identity headcanons except if you make gay characters straight. I often headcanon characters as trans myself.

I am open to ship suggestions, I will tell you if it makes me uncomfortable but if you suggest an obviously problematic ship I will simply block you.

I prefer long responses, but I will try my best to match whatever length you use.

I will not play abusive characters if they are a main character. If they're a side character that is fine, but if they are a main character I won't do it.

I do not have triggers but if you're going to include something that could be triggering please warn me first, it makes me uncomfortable when those kinds of things are suddenly sprung on me.

If you do not follow these rules you will be given a max of three warnings before I will just block you and/or stop replying.

Stranger Things 5 Theory/Prediction: The Importance of Max’s Letters.

So, i’ve been thinking a lot about season 5 over the last couple months, and how i think a lot of things left unexplored in s4 will come into play in the final season. Originally, when i made my ST4 bingo card before volume 2 dropped, i thought Max would end up in a coma (bingo!) and that her letters would be read aloud at the end of the season, much like Hopper’s at the end of ST3. Obviously that was wrong, but i still can’t help but feel like the Duffers would not have Max write letters that are clearly holding weight within her relationships and her life, and have it go nowhere. So, i’ve come to the conclusion that Max’s letters will play one of 2 purposes next season. I’ll be using clips from Avengers: Endgame, so if you haven’t seen that and want to avoid spoilers, here’s your warning. If you want to come back after watching, i’ll see you then. Here we go!

Theory 1:

I for one think that Max’s letter will be the post time jump motivation for the other’s returning to Hawkins. I think after they fail in the beginning of ST5, they’ll decide it’s hopeless and will let Vecna do his thing. More likely, they’ll think Vecna might be too weak to do anything and ignore Will’s tingle. Imagine Lucas or El, years later finding Max’s letter and deciding that they can’t just leave her there. Max loves them. She deserves to be fought for. Hawkins might not, but her and the rest of the world do. Think of the scene in Avengers: Endgame. Tony refuses to make the time machine until seeing a picture of Peter and realizing he’s worth saving. He’s worth the risk. (“I accept the risk” - Max, ST2)

Alternatively, i think El could just not be strong enough, and she’ll have to go train w/ Owens. This leaves the characters going their separate ways until El is strong enough. I think El brings her letter from Max with her to Nina 2.0, and is motivated to carry on every day because of it. At some point she’ll be strong enough and ready to fight. Imagine some dialogue from El (or maybe even Lucas) when Max is revived to some degree, and El parallels Mike in ST2 (I called you everyday…), telling Max that she never read her letter, because she knew she wasn’t gone. This would be so sweet #elmaxrights. Max’s letters can’t be for nothing. Now i bring you to the less fluffy alternative.

Theory 2:

Since i believe the letters must have value, but i know the Duffers don’t believe in fan service and the executives at Netflix cried over the ending pitch, i feel the need to acknowledge the very real possibility that Max may die in the end. I’ve said before that Max is the only character (in addition to Hopper) that i believe is safe from death. This is mainly because she’s died before and it would be repetitive. But, seeing as she’s the only character who has written a letter (that we know of. Looking at you Mike.) and in that letter she addresses her death, i think it’s possible her letter will be read aloud by Sadie over the final moments of the show. This would be similar to the end of ST3, but more-so like the end of Avengers: Endgame. In the end, Tony dies saving Peter and the other half of the universe, but not without the last word. He has preemptively left a goodbye message in the event of his death. It is played over shots of various characters happy after the war, and people celebrating victory. His letter also addresses “not being alone”, something that Max’s Dear Billy letter also does. I will also say that in a true parallel, El would be the one to die saving Max (Would parallel the end of ST1, and Tony’s sacrifice.) However, I don’t think El would write a letter. I could be wrong though. The only other character i can see this going down with would be Mike. He is a writer after all. He could (in the context of flickergate, and him going in the UD to save Will) write a letter admitting how he feels and addressing that if he dies he had the time of his life fighting dragons with you (😉) (you being Will + the party?). This wouldn’t be revealed til the end of the season, giving the Duffers, Netflix, and the homophobic GA/Milevens an out to a byler kiss or full on acknowledgement of it the rest of the season. This is my least favorite outcome. I hope you guys find this as interesting (and tragic, a word used to describe the end) as i do. Here’s to more theories over the next 2ish years! Happy New Year!

seeing a lot of spiderman comparisons to stranger things character so i thought id give my 3 cents

will is toby maguire’s spiderman in the sense that he’s in a love triangle involving his best friend and him being possessed by the mindflayer in s2 is like peter and venom in the beginning of spiderman 3 (also evil will arch for s5). toby’s spiderman is the only one who can shot webs from his wrists naturally and is similar to the will has powers arch

mike is andrew garfield’s spiderman since his main love interest’s father is the chief of police (works with both will and el with hopper) and his best friend also becomes possessed by an evil force (tasm 2) also he’s terrible with secrets and would tell his love interest straight away that he’s spiderman

dustin is tom holland’s spiderman since this spiderman is a lot more nerdy and comedic. is able to build stuff on his own and plans on going to college for a science degree, etc. dustin’s dad is never discussed same as uncle ben in this spiderman and we get tony (steve) as his new father figure who dies (eddie)

lucas is spiderman into the spider verse/miles. both lucas and miles come from privileged households/have their father play a huge role in their lives. max ofc would be his gwen who tends to distance herself from others bc of guilt, super mature for her age. miles and lucas also look into other older men to be their father figures outside their home (steve/jason/peter).

i love all the spiderman aus for the characters, out of all the superheros, spiderman is so perfect for the main party
