Eram as primeiras horas da madrugada quando a reunião emergencial terminara. Tendo se voluntariado para permanecer naquela noite, flexionando o pescoço com cuidado, Remus desceu para o primeiro andar, encontrando seu caminho para a modesta cozinha do headquarter. Reportara seu “encontro” com Fenrir Greyback para Dumbledore e Alastor antes da reunião, não vendo motivos para compartilhar, por hora, com todos. Ponderara sobre o acontecido enquanto se recuperava na Casa dos Gritos — onde passara os últimos quatro dias, incluindo a lua cheia na noite anterior —, concluindo que o lobisomem estivera nas redondezas buscando os membros da matilha que, recentemente, habitava os limites de Hogwarts. Encontrá-lo fora uma coincidência, um descuido de sua parte. Sabendo que a lua cheia estava próxima, que os sentidos de licantropos (incluindo o próprio) estariam aguçados, deveria ter tomado precauções. Mas sua mente estivera pesada com preocupações e hipóteses; enquanto Dumbledore o dispensara com palavras tranquilizadoras, sentira o olho mágico de Alastor o acompanhando até deixar o cômodo, o perseguindo mesmo através das paredes — desde que o auror sugerira que se escondesse, notara que esse o vigiava. Lupin entendera a constante supervisão como ambos um alerta e um lembrete: “continue assim e se tornará um estorvo, mas nunca é tarde para abandonar tudo”.  

Sozinho, grunhiu baixinho enquanto se servia uma xícara de chá, os braços doendo com os movimentos. Com as mangas da camisa dobradas nos cotovelos, as bandagens que cobriam as extensão dos braços estavam expostas e, no reflexo da chaleira, reparava as próprias olheiras avermelhadas, assim como a cicatriz que adornava-lhe da base até metade do pescoço: o “novo presentinho” de Greyback. Dormira apenas uma hora naquele dia, mal tendo caído no sono após chegar no chalé quando recebera a mensagem da Ordem; em sua pressa para sair, não conseguira disfarçar a aparência. Por isso, propositalmente evitara a presença dos amigos durante a reunião, mantendo distância. Mórbido, mas sentira-se grato de Greyback tê-lo atacado pouco antes da transformação, sendo que poderia deixar os amigos pensando que os ferimentos eram resultado  duma noite ruim, o poupando de precisar mentir. Não queria que se preocupassem desnecessariamente — afinal, o que acontecera consigo não era nada próximo do tormento pelo qual os Potter estavam passando. 

Sentou na bancada, segurando a xícara de chá com ambas as mãos. O bilhete era uma confirmação que, quem quer que cometera aqueles atos, estava os atiçando. Honestamente, não sabia como reagir aos acontecimentos das últimas semanas. Sequer conseguira formular uma hipótese satisfatória sobre o ataque e eram bombardeados com uma suposta aparição de você-sabe-quem após meses em silêncio — odiava o quão pouco de informações possuíam, a maneira como estavam no escuro, sem saber o quê esperar.

my sirius & harry thought of the day:

harry kept that firebolt alive for all 137 years of his remaining life through sheer willpower and magical strength. he did not let a single twig of it die off. not only was he absolutely unhinged about taking care of it, not letting anyone near it after 5th year, but he also basically single-handedly reinvented the field of broom-crafting just so he could keep his godfather’s gift to him alive. he didn’t do anything with this skill, basically driving everywhere who knew him spare bc !!! ‘harry do u know what u just did? most brooms don’t last over 6-7 years, not even a fraction of that if used at the pace and frequency as u. if u could just—‘

and he just flat out shuts them up bc how does he tell them that the reason his firebolt is still alive is bc sirius’ love runs thru it and harry would die himself before he let it bc he can’t lose the last piece of sirius he has left. he cannot perform this miracle on any other broom, tho he can probably make the single best non-sirius-gifted broom that the WW has ever seen just bc of how extensive his knowledge is now

and the thing, right, is he doesn’t keep the firebolt locked up in some display like some artefact. sirius would’ve never wanted that. his dad would’ve hated it. brooms were meant to be flown. so fly, he does. wonderfully. it’s forever his primary broom and he puts it thru all the paces, keeping up with all sorts of newer, flashier, pro models w utter ease.

it’s like this: when he uses this firebolt, it feels like perhaps he has his godfather back for just a second. and harry is forever weak to that feeling.

i could talk for hours abt regulus being a college drop out like it just fits him so well. I’m sorry i know the public will disagree but no one gets him like i do. he thinks he has to go to uni and get a degree bc it’s what hes supposed to do but honestly ? he doesn’t like it he wants to learn at his own pace w his own structure he wants to explore the world he has barred himself from for so long . like i love fics where reg drops out and gets like a sugar daddy just to have the money to go to the fanciest art museums across the world and look through them at his own pace….. free from his parents to do what he wants in his own way, not in theirs ….. my sweet angel boy

so many ppl think that regulus like genuinely wants to be like his parents and do what they do and that!! is so wrong…. even in canon…. yes he willingly joined the D.E but it’s bc he didn’t realize he could do anything else … why would he think abt anything else ???? he doesn’t have any other life this is his only option. so he will live in denial abt how much he actually wants it. he’s alicentpilled in that way (those who know know)….

that’s why the moment regulus realizes he’s unhappy he literally kills himself instead of trying to rebel: he doesn’t think he Can rebel. this is his only option. if he is miserable living like this than living will just be miserable. he only has one other thing to do and that would be to die.

anyways back on topic Soz but i don’t like it when reg like owns a business or still gets his masters or a phd or something like to me that doesn’t feel like him … i’m a big fan of sirius n reg ending up in the opposite of spots as to where their parents expected. his parents thought sirius would end up poor and uneducated doing odd jobs for cash and regulus, their puppet child, would end up rich and successful making connections and such…. and then it turns out sirius gets an education and proves himself as capable of being something without them, and regulus let’s go of his parents standards of living. sirius is designing his business cards while regulus is smoking weed in the back of barty’s fuck ass car . they are both at peak happiness. regulus gets to live his own life.

sirius proves to himself he is worth something and capable outside of his family, that he can succeed without them, that he isn’t going to fall from grace without them, and regulus proves to himself that the fall from grace isn’t much of a fall, and that he’s happier with the people he loves than with the career his parents wanted for him. that’s my vision

remus lupin who's actually horrible with animals. & he knows why ,, the animals know what he is, ,, he's horrible at care of magical creatures and he's just .. so devastated. bc like thirteen yo remus lupin just wanted to learn about sweet animals . he'd been so looking forward to his first class, he'd begged his friends to take it with him, but nvm they all either run away or try to attack him . he's humiliated & betrayed for some reason, he's sad and he kind of wants to cry in the middle of class,. even before he came to hogwarts and knew for sure ,, he always thought animals disliked him because of his furry little problem, but the confirmation still stung. animals who'd probably never even seen a werewolf were uncomfortable with him too ,, when james and lily adopt a stray from some muggle alley even that's averse to remus . his friends & peers & teachers play it off and he tries to too but it's just a constant reminder that he's a monster
