The greatest demonstration of love and human goodness in Blatty's faith trilogy isn't Kane killing himself for Cutshaw, nor is it Karras killing himself (twice), it's that bit where Kinderman gets Dyer a penguin plushie. Peace and love on planet earth

Usually I'm all for not treating two characters as a one inseparable unit. I'm all for exploring them separately from each other or considering some interesting rare pair options for them.
But not with Madara. I love Madara very much but I'm sorry his canon obsession with Hashirama can't be ignored by me. I can't separate it from him. Their bond with Hashirama is completely something else. It's a very integral part of who Madara is.
He wants his attention even if it will be in a fight he wants everything Hashirama can give him. He'll recognize him in any situation. He'll be happy to see him even if the last time they have seen each other Hashirama killed him. He talked about uniting Ying and Yang and clearly meant Hashirama as Yang to his Ying. He ended up merging a part of Hashirama into himself in a most literal sense. He can't shut up about Hashirama when we see him as himself and not an impersonator (obito) or through other's memories.

i love finding out how big this world is. my girlfriend has only visited boston a handful of times, but i grew up here. i told her we'd be going to do the tourist traps in salem, and she said - which salem?
to be fair to her, there are a lot of other states that have a town named "salem." and i think there's some evidence that the witch trials actually happened in what is now called Danvers. but the thing is - she thought "salem" was like, a made-up thing. there wasn't actually a salem, massachusetts - like there isn't a gotham city.
they don't talk about it that much where she grew up, is the thing! and this made me laugh. a week ago she was talking about her hometown and said something akin to "well the museum's kinda like the one in richmond," and i had to explain i still had no frame of reference for what the hell this museum was like.
i love finding out what knowledge i take for granted. i used to live with 5 other women. 3 of them were from south korea. they had to take, like, a solid fifteen minutes to explain their birthday system to my gay math-blind ass, laughing as they did.
that same month, our roommate from denmark taught me the danish word for wreath by accident - she'd been talking about decorations, used krans, and i'd been able to figure it out through context. i just picked it up and kept talking. our entire house used krans as the word. she came home and slammed the door one evening, mock-angry, shouting: you motherfuckers! it's a - a wreath!
and how often do you use certain words, anyway! i am cuban, so i was raised with certain spanish words sort of sprinkled in there; but never how you'd think. in middle school i asked someone to pass me the recogedor - in a completely american accent, like i was speaking english. i hadn't registered it as a spanish word. i mean, how often in school do you actually use the word "dustpan" - i'd only ever heard it in the context of cleaning my house.
there are places that you grew up that you, just, like, know. that you assume everyone knows. there are things and people and "common knowledge" that you have that, just, like. doesn't exist for me. i don't know what you call your public transportation system, but in boston we call it "the T". our train cards are called charlie cards because of a song where a father accidentally abandons his family, which was written because our system of transportation. in boston, most people would snort and say everyone knows that, kid.
i think you and i should go on a long walk - it's getting dark early these days and we need any sun we can manage. tell me about the first time you saw snow. tell me about the stuff everyone knows about your home. tell me about the cities "everyone's been to," about the food "everyone's already tried." who knows. maybe it will feel nice to you - watching someone learn about it for the very first time.

Someone should do a thing on how queer identities & queerphobia & climate change & climate change denial all link with chaos theory & the fingerprint of God & newtonism. Not me, because I only understand the basic concept of the math. But someone who knows them.

ENJOY!
"You did it!" You screamed as you ran towards your boyfriends. San was walking upfront and he immediately wrapped his arms around you before pulling Wooyoung into the hug as well. "I'm so proud, you have no idea!"
You pressed a kiss onto Wooyoung's cheek, who had just scored the winning goal. "You really saved our asses," San grinned as he ruffled Wooyoung's hair. Wooyoung giggled and flipped his non-existent long hair. "I know."
"Both of you are gonna get so lucky tonight, come home with me please?" San laughed and laid his hand on your lower back. "We have to shower darling, we're covered in sweat."
"San, I couldn't care less honestly, I just need to be filled up with cock right about now," you hissed. Wooyoung laughed and pulled you close to him. "Oh I'm not saying no to that."
Soon enough you were in Wooyoung's car, who was driving you to your house. You sat in the backseat with San, who couldn't keep his hands off of you. His hands roamed your soft thighs and he spread them apart. San's fingers trailed up your inner thigh, disappearing under your denim skirt.
"Baby, San, can't you wait until we're home? It's literally like 10 minutes away," you sighed. You saw that Wooyoung was watching the two of you through the rearview mirror, a big smirk plastered on his face and eyes full of lust. "See, you're getting Wooyoung all distracted and he's supposed to be driving."
"Wooyoung can drive just fine while I get your cunt nice and ready for us to play with tonight. You know what I can do in 10 minutes, don't you sweetheart?" San's voice was husky and full of arousal as he grunted in your ear when his hand cupped your clothed, wet pussy.
See the thing is, watching your boyfriends playing on the field always got you hot and bothered. You weren't sure if it was the jersey's, the teamwork, the calves or the fact that they had an insane amount of tension between them on the field but God, did it get you wet.
It was almost impressive that nobody knows about the polyamourous thing going on between the three of you. Some people have been suspicious, assuming San and Wooyoung are a gay couple or that you've banged them before but they didn't know it was more than that. You loved them with all your heart and the sex you're getting is just a big bonus.
San's fingers rubbed your clothed clit and you felt your wetness spreading, soaking the delicate panties Wooyoung had kindly bought you a while ago. "You're so easy aren't you? Wet in only a minute time."
"Jokes on you Choi, she's probably been soaking ever since she saw us step out on the field. Stop stroking your ego," Wooyoung said from behind the wheel. "Yeah Choi, stop stroking your ego, stroke something else," you grinned as your hand cupped his hardening cock.
San grunted as he slipped his fingers into your panties, sliding them through your wet folds. "You've got such a perfect little cunt baby, can't wait to ruin it later." "You're all talk, Sanie, who says you're ruining me later? Who says you're not begging on your knees while I step on your precious cock?"
His eyes were on fire now and he plunged two of his thick fingers into your awaiting hole. You gasped and fell forward into his embrace. San didn't ease you into it at all, taking advantage of your wetness by immediately pumping his fingers in and out of you at an inhumane pace.
"S-Sanie slow down, slow down," you cried, but San didn't care. "No baby, I'm just opening you up nicely. How else are you gonna fit our cocks in there?"
You panted and cried out his name as he kept going, ultimately finding your g-spot as he curls his fingers inside of you. San attacks your neck with countless kisses and little nibbles - a habit he's taking over from your other lover.
Before you could announce your upcoming climax he withdrew his fingers and sucked them clean as Wooyoung parked his car at your house. You panted softly and adjusted your skirt before exiting the car. The sound of your heels clicking on the concrete was like an aphrodisiac to the guys. Something about it made you feel powerful and sexy, which was probably why they enjoyed it so much as well.
You told them to follow you into the house and you ordered them to wait in the living room. They sat on the couch as you stayed in the hallway, getting rid of the miniskirt and tanktop you were wearing. You were only left in a lacy lingerie set and your heels before you entered the living room again.
The two boys were sloppily making out, cocks hardened in their jerseys. When they heard the clicking of your heels again they stopped and their mouths fell to the ground, as did Wooyoung, who immediately got on his knees. You smirked and came a little closer.
"I bet you like what you're seeing, hm?" Wooyoung nodded enthusiastically, loving the moments where you dominated them. "San, be a good boy and get on your knees beside Youngie."
San wasted no time when he heard the serious tone in your voice, taking place next to his boyfriend. "The two of you have played a very good game... So I should reward the two of you. But I think that you still need to earn it... Don't you?"
"Y-Yes, mommy, anything for you," Wooyoung breathed out. He switched easily into his submissive side, while San always needed a little more convincing. He stayed quiet for now.
"Well Wooyoung has been a good boy, to my surprise, you've been a bit naughty, my Sanie," you smirked. "Take those jerseys off boys."
The guys didn't waste any time, the football jerseys laying on the floor as they sat on their knees with their hard cocks out. "That's more like it..."
You cupped Wooyoung's cheek, pressing a kiss on his head before standing in front of San. "Now you've been naughty haven't you?" "I...I have," he mumbled. "Speak up when I talk to you," you spat. "I have," San mumbled again. You rolled your eyes as San didn't obey you to your liking.
Wooyoung looked at you with full anticipation for what was about to happen. Your eyes narrowed as you stared into San's eyes before lifting your foot up and placing it on San's cock, pressing your heel down into his shaft.
He cried out and bucked his hips upward, only hurting himself more. "You disobey me just because you like getting your cock tortured, isn't that right?" You ask San. He looks terribly embarrassed before he nodds, his eyes focussed on yours.
"Well if you want me to step on your cock and play with you, you ask me nicely, is that clear, my little whore?" You ask him. San nodds and pressed kisses over your knee and thigh. "Yes, Y/N, next time I'll ask," he sighed, still bucking up his hips.
"Well you're not getting off on my heels now, San," you said before kneeling down and taking his cock into your hand. "Wooyoung would you be a doll and help me punish our big boy?" Wooyoung smirked and nodded, scooching closer to San, sitting himself behind his boyfriend. San leaned back into Wooyoung's embrace before he yelped when you slapped his cock. "Y/N!" he cried.
You just smirked and did it again and again, making him shake, tremble and breathe heavily. "You act so big, so cool, until someone's torturing your precious cock, isn't that right? You love it, don't you?" Wooyoung whispered into his ear.
San moaned when he started to pump his shaft up and down. Wooyoung kissed the nape of his neck as you tossed your heels into the hallway and got rid of the lingerie set. San watched you undress as Wooyoung jerked him off at a quick pace, earning soft mewls and cries from him.
"You two are menaces," he grunted as he felt himself get closer to climaxing, cock twitching in Wooyoung's hand. He was feeling like putty in his lover's hands until he found the strength to escape Wooyoung's embrace.
San panted while he grabbed the both of you by your arms, taking you to your bedroom where you were both seated on your knees in front of him. "I'm done with your teasing, you're not winning from me in this game. Mouths open, now."
Wooyoung and you opened your mouths instantly. San smirked and slowly slid his cock into Wooyoung's mouth, pumping it in and out a few times before switching to your mouth. With every switch he got rougher, hitting the back of your throat and making you gag.
San laughed and thrusted harder into your mouth, making you tear up. "Who's the whore now, huh?" He scoffed. Your pussy clenched around nothing as you pressed your thighs together, looking for any kind of friction.
The taller male pulled his thick length out of your mouth again, pushing it into Wooyoung's. The younger moaned around the shaft as he started to play with his own neglected cock. You leaned down and lowered your mouth onto his leaking tip, licking it clean. Wooyoung mewled and bucked his hips up, forcing his cock into your mouth.
San threw his head back and moaned loudly when Wooyoung started to deepthroat him. You felt Wooyoung's hand in your hair, gently pushing your head down onto his dick as he kept bucking his hips up. Tears flowed down your cheeks as he did so and you could feel your pussy leaking arousal by now.
San pulled his cock out of Wooyoung's mouth and watched the scene you had going on with the younger. "Fuck, that's hot," he grunted. Wooyoung was a moaning mess, getting his cock sucked by you. Soon enough you were pulled off his cock before he could cum.
"Can I put a vibrator in your pussy?" Wooyoung asked as his tongue licked a stripe up from your left breast to your jaw. "A-a vibrator? Yeah, you can," you moaned. Wooyoung brought you to the bed and searched through the drawer of your nightstand. While Wooyoung was searching for the right toy you and San laid down, bodies colliding as you made out with him.
San's tongue slid over your bottom lip as he opened your legs, fingers finding your sensitive clit in no time. You whined when he pinched your clit before rubbing it in quick circles. "San, Sanie," you moaned his name.
"My good little slut," he grunted, rutting against your thigh. "W-who's the slut here, hm, Sanie?" "I think we established all three of us are sluts for each other, sweethearts," Wooyoung stated before joining you on the bed with a vibrator in his hand.
Wooyoung turned it on, putting it on your clit on the lowest setting. San's fingers travelled to your mouth instead, inserting two of his fingers in there. You moaned and took them into your mouth, sliding your tongue over them and wetting them nicely.
Your breath shook when Wooyoung turned the vibrator up. The buzzing sound only riled you up more and you started to grind your pussy against it, still working on San's fingers. "You're so needy, aren't you?" Wooyoung smirked as he watched you fuck yourself against the vibrator.
"Y-yes, God, it just feels so good, I'm not gonna last," you warned him. When Wooyoung heard this he turned the vibrator up to the highest setting, making you scream his name out loud, saliva running down your chin as San's fingers still laid on your tongue.
Your body was shaking and thighs were trembling as your orgasm rocked through you. Wooyoung showed no sign of stopping the vibrator, but he pushed it harder into your clit instead. Your eyes rolled back into your head when the overstimulation soon enough became too much.
"N-No, so sensitive! W-Wooyoung please! Please!" You begged him, but he did not budge. He moved the vibrator around your clit and send you right into the seventh heaven, bringing you to a second orgasm.
"Gosh, baby," San groaned as he watched Wooyoung ride out your orgasm and put away the toy, "looked so pretty squirting for us."
You looked at them in horror before noticing the grey sheets had turned into a darker shade beneath your wet pussy. "I squirted?" "Such a good and pretty pussy, doing so well," Wooyoung smirked. "God, you and your filthy mouth," you said, rolling your eyes before connecting your lips into a messy kiss.
You laid on top of wooyoung as you kept making out with him, moaning into his mouth when your pussy slid over his hard cock. "Put it in," you whined against his lips. He smirked and reached down for his cock, slowly sliding it into your pussy. When you cried out Wooyoung's name you suddenly felt a mass press against your back.
"Don't keep me out on the fun here," San said with a smirk. He stroked his rigid shaft a few times before sliding it into your pussy alongside Wooyoung's.
You let out a scream and you teared up as you felt your boyfriends completely stretch out your poor hole. You fell on Wooyoung's chest and panted out when both of them slowly started to move their cocks in and out of you.
"Such a good girl, you're gonna let us fuck you like this right? Fill you up nicely like the beautiful cumdump you are, pretty little slut," San hissed in your ear. "O-oh my God, please," you begged. It hurt like hell but the pain mixes with the immense pleasure soon enough, taking over your brain.
When they start to rut into you, your eyes roll back and you can't stop moaning out. You're not the only one having a tough time though. San was hissing and huffing in your ear while Wooyoung grunted as he fucked up into you. Sweat collected on your bodies, moans filled the room and the bed was shaking and holding on for dear lord.
"T-too much, too much," you cried out when the pace got picked up again. You reached behind you to pat San, to show him it truly was becoming too much. He slowly slipped out of your cunt and made you sit up on Wooyoung's cock.
It was stretched so well now you easily slid up and down his shaft. "Wooyoung, oh god Woo!" You cried as you bounced on him. San spread Wooyoung's legs and played around with his hole lightly, earning some whines from him. It only took a few more thrusts until Wooyoung announced his orgasm, hips bucking up and muscles spasming as he released inside of you.
Before you could even process Wooyoung's climax you were pulled off him and pushed down onto the matrass. San slid into you from behind and started to pound you hard and deep.
"This is for slapping and stepping on my fucking cock babygirl," he grunted in your ear before absolutely losing his temper, jackhammering his shaft inside of you. You cried and screamed his name, all muffled by the pillow your face was burried in.
Soon, San started to moan, chasing his own orgasm which he reached within seconds. He spurted his seeds into your awaiting cunt, which was clenching and spasming around him.
He slipped out of you and turned you around to let you breathe for a bit. "So, you each got your fill, can I cum now?" You asked when you gained your breath again. "How do you wanna cum?" Asked Wooyoung, who also came back to life after his intense orgasm.
"Eat my pussy, both of you... Both of you between my legs, now," you sighed. The two boys wasted no time, laying between your spread legs, watching the mess they made of your sopping cunt.
San teased your pussy with some kitten licks, tasting the mixture of his and Wooyoung's semen on his tongue. Then Wooyoung joined in, flicking his tongue on your clit repeatedly. "O-oh that's it, yes, there," you moaned when Wooyoung sucked at it. San moved up slightly, attacking your clit right next to Wooyoung.
Their tongues started to swirl together, tasting your pussy while also tasting each other. You ran your hand through your hair and moaned out when their tongues moved faster alongside your clit, turning up the stimulation.
"Baby, oh God, I'm so close, lick it baby, just like that, use it, use it, Fuck!"
A wave of pleasure overruled your body and you climaxed on their tongues, arousal and cum dripping out of your hole into their mouths. Wooyoung cleaned your pussy up while San licked the slick off your thighs and ass.
"Look at that," San smirked, "all nice and clean again."
You were so fucked out after your orgasm you could barely react to them. Wooyoung grinned and gave San a kiss on the lips. "You were rough on her." "She was teasing me, that's what she gets. That's my love game," he laughed. "You're a menace," you mumbled, pulling both of them close, "love game, my ass."
"Your ass gets a turn next time."

Nonblacks in fandoms are literally brainwired to not care about black characters. When it comes to Disney Princess ship aus it's always Ariel and Eric or Rapunzel and Eugune but never Tiana and Naveen or Brandy's Cinderella and Paolo's Prince Charming.Hazel is a trio with Nico and Percy but is always replaced with Jason for 'The Big Three Boys' despite Percy being closer to her and Jason only becoming friends with Nico being used as a pity case for him by witnessing him being force outed and is defanged even though she's on par with Percy and her design whitefeminized because Pjo fans can't comprehend black girl features as feminine.Allura was the only good part of Voltron but she was bashed for daring to be the love of the lives of the two fan fave male characters instead of them realizing they only 'think' they hate eachother and applied every misogynoir stereotype to her under the guise of progressiveness
Duke is forgotten as a Batkid,Robin and Batboy based off a requirement rule that's never been said in canon or even joked about by official sources and Kory and Tam are shoved out of their romantic narratives with Dick and Tim to fit the 'redheads and blondes' rule even though Dick's dated more black women than redheads and Tim's first girlfriend dyed her hair blonde because she thought that's why he liked Stephanie more and he made a twisted expression of horror as his thought box said 'I...hate it'.Luz has her blackness invalidated almost always by NONblacks only,Gus is a canon black4brown mlm in a teenage romcom-esque ship but Toh fans ignore him and Mattholomule to obsses over Hunter and Edric as they 'roast' Huntlow too when Edric might as well not exist in comparison to Willow's depth and abundance of screentime,Camila was never given a chance and branded an abusive mom or spicy latina armcandy for Eda and Darius gets jackshit despite Hunter's whole ass entire dad and having a canon backstory with Eda,Raine and Lilith as classmates
Gumlee and Bubbline have much less content than completely noncanonical white gay ships and even after we saw Elise Marceline still wasn't popularly drawn black as human despite her being confirmation for Marcie and by extention Marsh being biracial.Oscar is said to have no personality by the same people who run blogs dedicated to fucking JAUNE AND SUN and his importance to Ruby downplayed for a mean white girl who bullied her for being a younger autistic girl and Emerald is easily the most deep and prettiest antagonist but hardly anybody hardcore stans her or ships her even including Mercury
Miles has zero crossover genres and i mean GENRES a la Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons not the occasional one-off fanart and niche fic despite everything about Spiderverse being prime crossover material especially now that we have Atsv yet Danny F/P gets in on all of them including being JASON'S COUNTERPART when MILES is exactly like him while Danny's literally just ghost-themed and has nothing in common with Jason including being different flavors of deaths and ressurections and Margo is made out to be a desperate loser over Miles even though he showed even MORE more interest in HER and Hobie is passiveaggressively turned into Gwen's 'canon brother figure' despite the FIRST thing we learned about him is that they were gonna be a thing and it made it into the final project as confirmed by the creators who said the viewers can choose if they were dating or not and Jessica did nothing but be a good adoptive mom to Gwen after her cop dad kicked her out, have chemistry with Miguel, her own inner turmoil too and serve cunt and y'all either hated or ignored her for it BECAUSE she's a black woman but not a m*mmy or a minstrel show, don't even lie
And they notice NONE of this despite it happening every.fucking.time.They never prioritize or treasure black people in their lives if they even have any and they smacktalk black celebrities for the same reason they worship nonblack ones too. They make a mockery of black culture with butchered aave and whitewashed black aesthetics and calling our food disgusting and our romantic tactics inherently perverted(see the oversexualization of 'babygirl' when just means 'sweet black girl' and is meant to be comforting and can even be used platonically by older male relatives). They don't see color. They don't see us at all. They deliberately turn a blind eye to all the nonstop microagression they do towards our representation which they've NEVER limited to fictional characters-see how every black actor ever gets harrased!!!-yet act all 'woke' because they unlearned queerphobia and ableism.Yeah?Unlearn THIS propaganda too snowroaches

EDIT: IF YOU ARE COMING HERE TO REBLOG THIS WITHOUT MY ADDITION FUCK YOU JUST BLOCK ME INSTEAD!! get your lesbophobic ass out of my house. this is my post and you don't get to cut off half of what i'm saying!
lesbians can and frequently do: love, desire, fuck, befriend, date, kiss, seduce, dance with, take as lovers, flirt with, marry, build community with, have and raise children with: genderweird people, transmasculine guys, nonbinary individuals, pansexuals queers, faggy dykes, trans ladies, people who don't use labels, bi girls, gender deviant folks, and so on.
lesbianism does not require or insinuate/suggest/assume cis-ness. it does not mean clear cut binary womanhood of all involved. it isn't limiting or stifling or harmful or outdated. many of us have complicated genders ourselves and love our partners with complicated genders and identities.
anyone who says otherwise or is trying to convince you otherwise doesn't know us very well.
editing to add my addition to the original post:
all of this and STILL lesbians are not into men.
yeah, some people's partners realize they are men and transition after they've been together. other people only realize they are lesbian after or while in a relationship with a man. other lesbians are sex workers and have men as clients. some lesbians might be questioning and experimenting, or may be pushing themselves through uncomfortable experiences with men. they may not be in touch with their own desires (and lack thereof as well). these things can be tough and complicated and my love goes out to all these people.
but lesbians do not, willingly happily healthily choose to pursue and go after and romance and love and make out with and have sex with and have a relationship with, men. lesbian does mean something, words have not lost all meaning quite yet!
there are wonderful beautiful words for those who do like men, like bi and pan. bisexual and pansexual are wonderful! so are sapphic, wlw, gay, queer, and other terms that folks use. you can be as specific or vague about it as you want.
lesbians are real, we really do exist. we are not your boogeymen, we are not a hypothetical theoretical figure, or a platonic ideal or an academic concept or a figment or fiction to place your fears and anxieties upon. we are real people.
it is harmful to perpetuate either of these things i’ve described here. simply put: lesbians do get with genderweird folks AND still do not get with men. both are true.

Okay okay okay
So like
Thanks to @gayfandomnerd225 for pointing out the inconsistencies in the descendants universe.
So like
Main characters obviously Hook and Morgie cause
Tumblr media
Gay pirate dad hype men
But so basically, it'll take place when Hook is around probably 19-20. In this, James Hook comes from this line of pirates. So this takes place when he gets his own ship and own crew. (Before the events of Peter Pan)
[There was this TikToker who analyzed Hook's outfit and said he's a modest rich kid so I'm rolling with that]
His probably father gives him an adequate amount of money to start off his journeys overseas, and the pre-established Hook legacy to count on. And during this he'll meet other Disney villains and whatnot.
[Ex. Ursula, an such.]
But then suddenly one day this boy {Morgie} appears in his cabin, sort of on the run. Like, bro straight up appears into the captains cabin.
Morgie being on the run from Merlin, because his mom is Merlin's sworn enemy that means he's bound to have all of Camelot up his ass. So he's laying low, but living up to his name, he's a very powerful sorcerer and offers to help Hook if Hook gives him his word he won't be turned over to Merlin.
And at first their relationship is purely platonic and transactional, they grow much closer to each other. Especially because Morgie can only talk to hook in secluded parts of the ship like his quarters, so Morgie primarily lives in the captains quarters with Hook.
[Morgie does test his limits and appear to hook in different spots around the ship, probably talks to him throw a puddle of water at some point]
Then for the big climax
💥BOOM💥
Merlin finds out what Morgie is doing, and comes after him. Hook doesn't like that because they both know they genuinely love each other. Then he helps Morgie out of that, probably by putting some sort of enchantment on Merlin. [To explain why he's so scatterbrained]
After dealing with Merlin the dudes are paranoid as fuck, and they're like, "We genuinely care about each other, were at least going to come out and state to the crew that we are dating" (courting I think it would be back then) but also informing the crew of the existence of Morgie.
They get this feral ship cat to catch mice, because Morgie originally just did a lot of that in one of his animal forms. And they take in this kid that was abandoned by their parents, this kid being Harry Hook when he was about 14. And Harry's parents abandoned him because he's AFAB and acted more masculine, and that was like really frowned upon back then.
But they take him in and are basically like, we're pirates, we don't give a fuck, what the fuck is gender anyway. So they technically adopt Harry.
And then I'll incorporate Peter Pan and like, other Disney characters somehow but this is all I got so far.
@rubeslovesthesmiths
Rubes,
Do you approve?

actually i'm still thinking about that part of oliver's zach sang interview where he says that he doesn't think of buck as a queer character, he thinks of him as a character that is queer, who has a fully fleshed out personality and a multitude of important characteristics and who has flaws and makes mistakes, just like any real, human person. he's not that bisexual character we shoved in there for representation's sake. he's evan buckley, and his bisexuality is important and undeniable but it's not the only thing that makes him buck. that makes him so loved.
i love it because that's always how 911 has approached queerness, right from the very beginning. when i think of hen, her being a black lesbian isn't the first thing that comes to mind. what comes to mind is her brilliance and her compassion towards the people that she treats. it's the understanding with which she approaches the world. it's how fiercely protective she is of her friends and her loved ones. it's her devotion towards her wife and her family. it's her complicated feelings towards her past and the way that she's learned to heal from the scars that were left. however, hen's identity as a black lesbian is always present. it's never ignored or minimized and the show never tries to diminish how those aspects of who she is would impact her life. her identity as a black woman and a queer woman is always relevant and has played a huge part in making her who she is, but it's never, ever been her sole defining characteristic. she is a fully fledged character, and her queerness has always been allowed to exist and take up space without taking away from anything else that makes her hen.
that is always how representation should be done and i'm so grateful that it's been the norm on 911 right from day one. i'm so grateful for this show, and the love and care with which they've treated our queer characters — hen, karen, michael, david, josh, that beautiful older gay couple that quite literally defined love on this show, that sweet woman who just wanted to pass her driving test, the guy who ended up with a tapeworm in his ass because he couldn't stop eating sushi, tommy, and now, evan buckley. a character that has been so loved right from the very beginning and now gets to discover this new part of himself that brings him so much joy and so much relief. despite the hurdles they've had to face, the people making this show have given so much to their queer audience and i'm just....so grateful that we get to witness the love they have for us. they really said. we see you. there is a space for you here. come and embrace it.

The Miracle of Teddy Bear Saved the Gays
Tumblr media
Last weekend, both @twig-tea and I had time off and were in the mood to binge something, so Twig suggested we finally watch The Miracle of Teddy Bear. Both of us had missed it while it was airing live (because it didn’t have international distribution) and had been given the impression by others that it had a sad ending that included some anti-queer messages. It was also very long, so we were not exactly rushing to get to it. But we are stubborn and like to judge things for ourselves, so we decided since we had the time and the show was now available, we should jump in. And imagine our surprise when we found out everything we had been told about it was wrong (we have our theories about why). This is one of the best queer dramas we have ever seen, with phenomenal acting, writing, and direction, and we have so much to say about it. The post that follows is co-written by the two of us. Strap in, folks, because it’s a long one.
If you haven’t seen this show yet and don’t want any spoilers, stop reading this right now and head over to YouTube, where international fans can now watch it for free with English subtitles. We’re going to go deep on the show below, and because this drama is designed to slowly reveal information in a very deliberate way, nearly everything counts as a spoiler. We’ll try not to give too much away in the early sections, but be warned!
The Story
The Miracle of Teddy Bear is the tale of a deeply traumatized gay man in desperate need of healing, and the teddy bear who comes to life to help him. In the process of taking care of his person, our bear uncovers deep family trauma and many secrets and lies, accidentally solves crimes, makes lots of friends, heals a family, and saves several lives. He is a very good bear, and through this adventure he contemplates his own existence, learns how to be human, and discovers what it means to truly love someone.
Tumblr media
This is primarily a family drama with important things to say about queer truth, and while it includes several bl storylines, it is not a romance. Intertwined with the family drama is a bl show within the show and a series of interrelated mysteries that slowly get unraveled as the story goes on. One of the things this show does best is parcel out information from various perspectives at the perfect time to keep the viewer one step behind—we found ourselves constantly almost guessing what the show was going to do next, but it always chose a direction a little to the left and surprised us in the best way.
In the end, every question we asked was answered, and every time we thought a character’s motivation felt a little too shallow, we were given more. The experience of watching this show was deeply satisfying and really made us feel seen. This show gets us.
The Characters
Tumblr media
The Bear: Tofu
Tofu is the titular teddy bear who comes to life via drama magic and does his best to support his person. He starts the series incredibly innocent, and the show and his actor, Inn Sarin, do an incredible job of depicting the change in him as he lives life as a human, becoming more complex and less naive. Tofu is the heart of the show, and it is his love and kindness that enable the growth of the other characters in this story.
The Core Family: Nut, Na, and Kuenchai
Nut is our protagonist, and his struggles with life as a gay man are the soul of this story. He lives with his mom, Na, and their dog, Kuenchai, and Tofu is his beloved teddy bear. Yes, Nut is a cranky ass grown man with a beloved teddy bear. It will make sense eventually, we promise. Nut is a bl novelist working through old trauma via adapting his work for the screen. Na is a woman who has been Going Through It, and while we start the story with only the vague sense that something is not quite right with her, we spend a lot of time on her history as well as her growth in the present until we get the full picture. The way Nut and Na’s stories are tied together gets to several of the core themes of this show (discussed more below).
The Sides: Gen, Song, Prib, and the nosy neighbors
Our cast of friends and allies who support Nut and Tofu and have romantic trials and tribulations of their own. Without giving too much away, we’ll just say this: all of these characters have satisfying arcs, and some of them may have caused us to squeal in delight.
Specters of the Past: Neung and Tarn
Telling you literally anything about them is a major spoiler so just know they are here and they are important and you will fully understand why and how by the end. Oh yeah, and Neung looks exactly like Tofu (or should we say Tofu looks like Neung?) for Reasons (which are explained! We love this show).
Villains: Saen, Sib, Jan, and Parit
Expect these four to show up often and cause a lot of trouble. Their motives and exact crimes are revealed over the course of the show.
Other Elders: Anik, Juea, Kanya and Sittha
They are mostly here to serve a few key plot functions and represent a spectrum of parental figures (related by blood and not) and acceptance of queerness.
And we cannot forget: The inanimate objects
In this show, inanimate objects can come to life under a certain set of magical conditions, and they are Tofu’s friends and helpers along the way. Some of their stories are shockingly touching! They also add some needed levity to the show, especially the grumpy ones. Special shoutout to the cactus and the spare blanket, our crime solving MVPs. We have to admit, the animation for these took a bit of getting used to, but within a couple of episodes we were cheering these creepy blinking eyes on.
Tumblr media
The Themes
And here is where we start to get into spoiler territory about specific character arcs. This show had so many clear and well-articulated themes, and they stayed consistent throughout the story.
Queer people can be happy
Tumblr media
This is stated explicitly as well as demonstrated through multiple storylines: gay men can love each other, have good relationships and fulfilling sex lives, and get their happy endings. Those who argue that people should fight against their queerness because it will make their lives harder and keep them from happiness are not just wrong, they have it backwards.
Queer people can only be happy by living their truth
Tumblr media
This is perhaps the main thesis of this show, and it comes across in so many ways over the arc of the story. We see this theme exemplified in particular through Nut, Tarn, Song, and Gen, with each of them representing different versions of the queer experience that shape who they are and how they show up in the world. Even before the story tells you, it’s clear what kind of experiences each has had from his relationship to his own queerness and his general demeanor and outlook on life. Nut has survived an abusive homophobic father, and that shows up in his anger, his self-protective rejection of others, and his struggle with emotional regulation. Gen has been raised by loving and accepting parents who support his choices in all ways, and this shows in his good humor, balanced perspective, and confidence to be himself. When we say good media should show, don’t tell us its point, this is a fantastic example of what that means.
Accept and love your queer children or pay the price
Tumblr media
Relatedly, this story is very interested in the consequences for parents who fail their queer children, and explores a whole spectrum of acceptance from enthusiastic support to negligent ambivalence to misguided suppression to violent bigotry. We see so many different parents and parental figures react to learning about their gay sons and gain insight into them by how they respond—and only the ones who manage to get it together to love and support their kids get to keep their families. Critically, the adults who fail their queer children are convinced they’re acting in their best interests at the time, and we are along for the ride as the redeemable ones go through the stages of first admitting they were wrong but still thinking their intentions justify the pain they caused to fully acknowledging the damage they have done and making amends.
Be patient with others, you never know what they’ve been through
Tumblr media
That said, the show also invites us to stop and consider what might be behind aberrant behavior before judging it. Tofu is unfailingly patient with others, and even with the worst people in this story, he always seeks to understand why they are behaving a certain way before giving up on them. The show slowly and methodically reveals information that recontextualizes things we thought we understood and encourages us to keep digging for empathy and missing context. People in this story behave very badly and make a lot of mistakes, but a lot of it becomes more understandable once you have the full picture.
Unprocessed trauma will prevent you from healing and cause you to perpetuate harm on others
Tumblr media
Speaking of bad behavior, so much of what’s wrong in this story is driven by unprocessed trauma of one sort or another. Nut’s anger is at its core a deep hurt from being betrayed by the person he trusted most to be on his side. Na’s refusal to live in reality causes her to continue to hurt herself and her son. Saen’s denial about his own actions leads to far-reaching consequences he could not imagine. And the healing process depicted in the show is not linear; people who have made mistakes in the series make them more than once and advance and regress as the situation around them changes.
People are responsible for their own actions and inactions
Tumblr media
And while the show is clear that trauma is the source of the bad behavior of these characters, it is also clear that this is not an excuse. Everyone in this story is held to account for the things they do, as well as the things they don’t, no matter how understandable their reasons are. The people who refuse to heal face serious consequences in addition to seeing the damage their unprocessed trauma causes others.
Noble idiocy leads to everyone being unhappy
Tumblr media
One of the biggest sources of said unprocessed trauma in this story is characters making self-sacrificial choices for the ostensible benefit of others and bringing misery to everyone in the process. We love a drama that recognizes noble idiocy for the selfish and destructive act it truly is and clearly says you have to communicate with your loved ones if you don’t want to make a mess of everyone’s lives.
You can’t appease an abuser
Tumblr media
No amount of hiding who you are or making yourself small will convince an abuser to treat you better or guarantee your safety. This theme is most obvious in the main storyline between Nut, Sib, and Na, but Jan is another example of a manipulative and emotionally abusive character who other characters continually try to play nice with, to no avail. She takes every opportunity to be cruel, whether the person she’s talking to is kind or combative in return. The show reinforces that abusers will always find an excuse to justify their behavior; changing yourself for them is pointless.
Love is wanting the best for someone, even if that means letting go
Tumblr media
This is really the show’s core point where romance is concerned: being with you may not actually be what is best for the person you love, and if your love is true you have to accept that. The people who could not see this—Saen and Jan—were the ones who continued to cause harm to their loved ones and themselves, while the characters who honestly worked towards the happiness of their beloveds even if that happiness was not with themselves—Tofu, Tarn, and eventually Prib—were rewarded by seeing that happiness play out and ended our story truly content. The MVP of this theme is Tofu, whose pure teddy bear love for his person became more complicated and selfish as he became more human. But in the end, he held to the truth at his core that Nut’s happiness was his happiness.
You can have more than one great love, and one doesn't tarnish the others
Tumblr media
Which brings us to one of the most beautiful takeaways from this show, and something that dramas so rarely do well. Nut loves two different men, neither more than the other, and he never chooses between them. They both hold important meaning in his life and he honors that whether they are with him or not. When Nut is with Tofu, he remembers his past love with fondness but he is clear that these memories do not make his love for Tofu any less real. A lesser show would have had those moments where Nut was thinking about his past cause him to distance himself from Tofu. But in this show, Nut sharing his past and working through his lack of closure was when he and Tofu had some of their closest and happiest moments together. This show is extremely clear that we can have happiness with more than one person over the course of our lives, and it is not only okay but encouraged!
The Resolution
From here, we will be talking about the ending, and so by necessity will no longer be avoiding major spoilers. If you’re intrigued by the above and want to avoid being spoiled fully, stop now! One of the things that is so brilliant about this show is the way information is slowly revealed, so if you think you would like this show we recommend experiencing it for yourself. If you’re still not convinced and need to know the ending before you decide, read on.
Tumblr media
In our view, this story ends exactly as the show signals it will from the very beginning—and the way it should—and the ending is unambiguously a happy one. Tofu realizes that he and Tarn’s life forces are tied together, that it was Tarn going into his coma that caused him to awaken, and that as long as he continues to live as a human, Tarn will not recover. We and the characters have come to love Tofu in his guise as a human, but the truth is he does not belong there—he is a teddy bear, and for him to stay by robbing an actual human being of their life would be wrong. The story took pains throughout to show us how tenuous and restricted Tofu’s existence is, because he is not a real person and thus can’t live a full life (for example, he can’t get a job or safely leave the house because he doesn’t have documentation or any life experience). We also see Tofu struggle so much with the added complexities of the human experience that he becomes ill with overwhelm multiple times. He repeats to us through the whole story that all he really wants is to be a comfort to Nut. While he finds value and joy in being human, it does not change who he is at his core. And so he allows himself to be poisoned by Jan, sacrificing his human existence to bring Tarn back and exposing Jan and Saen’s crimes in the process.
Tumblr media
With this decision, the other characters get the chance to mourn him and move on. Nut grieves, finally makes the connection between human and teddy bear Tofu, goes to therapy (!), makes peace with his mother, and writes his love story with Tofu as his next show. Tarn wakes up and begins his recovery, and he and Nut slowly reconnect and rekindle their relationship over time. Na finds joy in her lucid moments and enjoys time with her family, finally free of the hell Saen and Sib unleashed on her life. Gen and Song get their happy ending with acceptance from Song’s dad, and Prib’s fixation on gay men becomes clear when her new female love interest enters the scene (let’s go, lesbians!). We get confirmation that the nosy neighbors are, in fact, an elder gay couple. Even Kuenchai and some of the inanimate objects have character arcs! Kuenchai is instrumental in making sure Nut is reunited with bear Tofu, and we get to see a slipper gain some independence from her other half and a grumpy bolster cuddle in to comfort her people when they need it.
Tumblr media
We end our story with several happy families who love their gay children and a call for marriage equality via Nut and Tarn deciding to marry whether it’s legal or not. Tofu is a bear again but his human life is very much not forgotten—Nut speaks to him every day, honors the love they shared, and talks about him openly with Tarn. And we even hear from Tofu again, see a final moment between him and Nut in a beautiful dream, and are reassured that Tofu is happy to still be with Nut in his original form and to see him living so well. It’s everything he wanted, and he made it happen. He truly is the very best bear.
Tumblr media
The Purpose
We wanted to take some space to get a little extra meta and talk about why this show matters so much in the broader queer media landscape. First, it was a landmark queer television event in Thailand—please read this post by @flowerbeasblog to get the background on its significance in the cultural landscape. This show was broadcast very intentionally to educate and send a message to a broader audience in Thailand than is typically reached via bl dramas. And that’s why understanding and taking its themes seriously is so very important.
Tumblr media
This is a story that is deeply rooted in queer truth, written by a queer man who wants people like him to be seen and understood. The show puts forward an unapologetically pro-gay message on broadcast television (on a major national network! during primetime! that does not shy away from the sexual component of queer love!) and embeds important political commentary in a fantastic and engaging story in a format familiar and comfortable for the Thai audience. It’s not meant to be received as a romance, and its nuanced and mature take on love and relationships is certainly not designed for ship wars. The writer even turns directly to the camera and underlines this in the final episode: while he respects the importance of bl in the media landscape, he has a bigger agenda in mind for this show and important things to say.
And that’s why some of the discourse around this show is so frustrating. A small portion of international fans who watched this show live seemed to misunderstand it deeply and created such a false impression of it that it caused others to stay away. Contrary to some of the takes out there, this show does not have a sad ending, Tofu’s resolution is not remotely anti-queer, and there is no woman who ends up with Nut (we are so confused that this was anyone’s interpretation; Nut at every age and several times within the show explicitly shouts about how very extremely gay he is). To see this story as a tragedy because Tofu “dies”—which he doesn’t; his human body disappears but he returns to being a conscious and content teddy bear—is to misunderstand Tofu’s character journey, his narrative purpose, and his agency. We can only assume that shipping got in the way of comprehension here, and people who wanted to see human Tofu and Nut end up together focused on that to the exclusion of pretty much everything this show was saying and doing.
Tumblr media
At the end of this story, Tofu is happy. To think that Nut was better off with Tofu than with Tarn is to not allow for the complexities of human experience; Nut did love Tofu, but he loved Tarn, too, and their relationship was a positive force in his life both before and after Tofu entered it. And Tarn was an actual gay human man in a coma who could not wake up while Tofu existed. Tofu was the creation of Tarn’s love for Nut; his existence was limited, and he found being a human extremely difficult. All Tofu wanted was to be Nut’s teddy bear and stay with Nut forever. He wanted Nut to be happy, because Tarn wanted Nut to be happy, and during his time as a human he worked to enable that happiness. He was instrumental in moving forward several stuck characters and uncovering many secrets, all of which were necessary for Nut to get to where he ends up at the end of the show. Being in a relationship with Nut was a bonus. He enjoyed the experience of being in love with Nut, but in the end he chose to sacrifice his human life so that Nut could have a permanent, lasting happiness with someone who was real. Tofu’s human death is not an example of the bury your gays trope; in fact, it is a total rebuke of it. Tofu, and this show, saved the gay men in this story and gave them full and happy lives. We cannot recommend watching and supporting this show enough.

I'm sorry but you people have demeaned the word lesbian so badly... the LITERAL definition of a lesbian is a NON-MAN who likes NON-MEN. How is that so fucking hard to understand? Not you specifically, but people like you have made it into something it's not; the whole "bi lesbian" and "straight lesbian" shit, saying trans men can date lesbians (which is literally just transphobic), straight up just saying lesbians can date men???? MEN???? DO YOU NOT HEAR YOURSELVES?
And now the whole butch discourse lmao. Sure, maybe in days long past it was a broader term, but today when someone hears the word butch, I can guarantee their minds will jump to a butch lesbian. If y'all want it to be the GBT community so bad then just say so
Also I can guarantee that you were one of the mfs laughing at lesbians who used he/him or he/they pronouns back in 2020 lmao performative ass bitch
Definitions of words do not descend from Heaven straight from the lips of God. We make them up! So I simply disagree with your definition of lesbian, as do many others. Personally, I enjoy the definition of "queer love/desire for women." For one, it centers lesbianism around women, instead of centering it around the exclusion of men. And two, "non-men loving non-men" is a definition which utterly erases nonbinary people. If an agender person is dating a neutrois person, they are not lesbians- or gay men- simply because y'all cannot get your head out of your binary asses for five seconds. "Non-men loving non-men" is a definition that attempts to be nonbinary-inclusive but only succeeds in making nonbinary & genderqueer identities palatable for radical feminism and political lesbianism. Honestly, I would prefer someone who defines lesbian as "woman loving woman" but understands that many people have complex relationships with womanhood while still feeling attached to the label of lesbian, than someone who uses this "NB-inclusive" definition and goes absolutely feral over genderqueers who are Doing It Wrong.
Anyways, speaking of radical feminism: acknowledging male lesbians and mspec lesbians is not "making lesbianism something its not." It is just recognizing the beautiful complexity that has always existed within lesbianism.
The lesbian community- which I'm using to refer to all kinds of communities organized around queer relationships to women & womanhood- has always been a haven for a lot more people than cis women exclusively into other cis women. The idea of sexuality-as-identity is very recent, and the idea of drawing a hard line between people who only like people of the same gender and people who like the same gender and more is also extremely recent. Beyond that, trans men and nonbinary people have always taken shelter under lesbianism. "Butch" in the context of lesbianism has always been a trans* identity, a way for people with a queer gender to find community and safety.
The reason why we have this idea of lesbianism as a strict category with hard borders is..... you guessed it..... radical feminism! And specifically "political lesbianism," which essentially placed woman-only relationships as the only true feminist relationship you could have. "Lesbian" became a political identity because of its focus on woman-woman relationships. But that meant that, for political lesbianism to be acceptable to radical feminism, it needed to conform to radical feminist beliefs about what makes a good feminist. Which meant:
No trans women or fems (because they are too male and probably predators)
No trans men or mascs (because they are too male and also traitors)
No bisexuals (because they are too male by association and are also traitors)
No penetrative sex, or at least no strap ons (because it imitates men)
No kinky sex (see above but with bonus "kink is evil" flavoring)
No butch/femme roles (because they imitate heterosexuality; everyone has to be neutrally androgynous).
I believe that much of modern lesbian discourse comes from trying to marry lingering radfem beliefs with modern attempts at trans-inclusivity. So you adapt the blatant transphobia: now, trans women are allowed in (as long as they are palatable to cis women), because they're women! And nonbinary people can also be allowed in- at first they were woman-aligned, and then later as long as they weren't man-aligned. Being butch/femme is Back In Style, but we have to soothe the gender anxiety that butches cause by assuring everyone that only True Lesbians can be butch, and butches are always women, even if they kind of aren't, but regardless they're definitely not men, because butch has always been a lesbian term (except it hasn't.) The discourse is haunted by the ideas that lesbianism is constantly under attack, more than anyone else, and that lesbian culture is unique and special and must be guarded from (male/-aligned) invaders who are probably also sexual predators.
To say that this is all just "days long pasts" ignores both that, in physical queer spaces there very much still are male lesbians and bi lesbians who are accepted parts of their local communities, and that you only see those days as "long past" because of the impact of radical feminism on lesbianism. The only reason you see these changes as a good thing is because you've swallowed radical feminist ideas without realizing it.
Also, "if you say butch most people will think of butch lesbians" is an extremely silly argument. Literally who fucking cares. If you say "man" there are still a lot of people who will immediately think of exclusively cis men (see: every feminist who says shit like "if men could get pregnant). Does that mean that trans men should just give up their identities because other people don't understand them? You dork?
Anyways. The funniest part of this ask is how damn confident you are that I was apparently hating on he/him lesbians three years ago. Idk how to tell you this but I'm a boygirl gaylesbianbisexual and have identified this way for years. I have been personally terrorized by shitty lesbian identity politics, the same ones you are repeating now, which told me that if I was even 1% male then identifying as a lesbian made me a disgusting predator. Which caused me years of suffering because no matter how hard I tried, I could not ignore my multigenderedness and how that affected my sexuality. Sowwy but you look silly as hell and your argument is bad and you should feel bad </3

Unhinged rant >:(
Demon Slayer fandom discourse
Tumblr media
I want to start this by saying, I know that Demon Slayer isn't an explicitly queer manga/anime because Shōnen Jump, but I believe that Demon Slayer is for the queers and has lots of themes that we can identify with like love, acceptance, loss, guilt and strength.
Despite what these stupid, smelly, ignorant, power-scaling, non-ass-washing, Cheetos-dust-snorting, once-a-month-showering, dude-bros would have you believe, Demon Slayer isn't just another battle Shōnen anime/manga, it's a love story and about the perseverance of the human spirit and if that doesn't speak to the queer experience then I don't know what does.
Plus, I don't know how Gotogue-sensei is as a person, but I think the fact that she managed to make one of the kindest mcs in shōnen speaks volumes about her disposition. I don't think she would be one to reject queer fans identifying with her story so well.
In these recent times, it seems like everything is going to shit, the world is slowly regressing into the dark ages destroying decades of progress and trying to distract ourselves from all this by engaging with the fandoms we love is hard because everything seems to cater to cis, straight, white men.
To be honest, I created this blog mostly out of spite, but I also wanted to carve out a tiny space for myself where I can talk out of my ass and not have some decrepit reddit dude bro go all 'well, ackshually ☝🤓' on me, and I'm happy to have met so many like-minded people.
So, I've compiled a list of answers to the common types of nonsense drivel these fuckers post in response to shipping and queer discussions and theories about Demon Slayer. You can copy and paste whenever and wherever you encounter these black holes of ignorance and stupidity if you want.
In the Taisho era, there were no gay/queer people: This is one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard, and the fact that it's a really common response really shows how we've failed as a society. Queer people have existed for ages all over the world, Japan has an extensive queer history. Demon Slayer is based on samurai culture and samurai culture was really, really, really, really, really, really, really gay. Sure, it had rigid roles, but that doesn't make it any less queer. A quick Google search would go a long way to nourish that dried-out, shrivelled husk you call a brain. Go read a book you walking condom ad, your parents and education system have obviously failed you.
It's forcing sexuality into the story: We literally had a whole season dedicated to the mcs going to the 'entertainment district', we have a sexy man with three wives who talks about 'loving' them all equally, we have the abundant male fanservice, one of the mcs talks about women on the daily, we have a boy who eats demons and is horny shy around girls all the time, we have his brother who exposes his tits because he's proud of them, we have a demon who was essentially a sexual predator that targeted 16-year-old girls and ate them, the main villain shape-shifts into a woman to 'get' information as a Geisha, we have a girl who literally lusts after almost everyone she meets but yea no lets not force sexuality into it 🙄.
I don't care: Okay cool, but I value your opinion as much as I value the shit I took this morning.
It's who they are as a character that matters: Sexuality is a part of a person's character. Your sexuality defines your experiences, decisions, options and outlook on life. That's why you as a straight man can be so ignorant.
It's forced*(I really hate this one): Honestly, fuck you. Why is it that you only think something is forced when it doesn't revolve around you and your experiences? You guys are fine with tons of anime/manga that sexualize women and girls to an insane degree even when it doesn't make sense, but that doesn't stop you from consuming and glazing the hell out of the authors, but when we talk about including queer characters suddenly it's forced? Your existence is forced, and you can just eat shit.
I don't like it: Who the fuck do you think you are dictating how other people consume and interpret the media they consume? How about you go hump your smelly, cum-encrusted anime body pillow.
Men can be touchy/emotional with each other without it being gay, it's just our western standards: No it isn't the majority of shipping activities and works come from Japan, which wouldn't happen if it was just part of their culture. We're not stupid, we know men and boys can be friends without it being sexual, and we know when a friendship is just that, and then we know when two guys are straight up pining for one another.
It's not canon/the mangaka didn't explicitly state it: They can't because of Shōnen Jump, so a lot of them pass off information about a character through subtext, metaphors and allegories. They also don't have to, things don't have to outright stated or 'canon' for them to make sense and if you need them to be so for you to understand or enjoy the story then a moment of silence for your head since it's without a brain.
It's not common: Despite Shōnen Jump, there are lots of mainstream anime/manga that have queer characters: One Punch Man, Hunter x Hunter, Dr. Stone, Windbreaker, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Naruto, Gintama, Dragon Ball Z, My Hero Academia, Fairy Tail, One Piece, Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Blue Period and that's not to talk of the ones with queer subtext like I dunno ALL Sports anime/manga to ever exist!
Why do you look for LGBTQ in everything?: It might be hard for straights to understand but growing up queer and looking for a connection causes us to develop what we call a gaydar that helps us identify characteristics, mannerisms, features and vibes from a person that screams 'ONE OF US! ONE OF US!'. It's only natural, and our gaydar doesn't suddenly turn off when we're consuming media, especially when it's media that we love and hold dear to our hearts. It doesn't matter if the mangaka inserted these characteristics intentionally or not, that doesn't stop us from picking up on them, and why should it?
Shipping is stupid: So is power-scaling, but that doesn't stop you assholes from making thousands of posts, creating YouTube channels and sharing content about it and cramming it down our throats. It's even worse because it's from grown-ass men.
The characters have no chemistry/they hate each other: A lot of queer ships have more chemistry, history, interactions, personality and development than a lot of 'canon' straight couples. It's literally a trope in media that all a man and a woman need to be in a relationship is to be in close proximity to each other, then their relationship goes on to be drier than salted crackers in silicone packets scattered in the Sahara desert. Well, I guess you can't blame the creators, you write what you know after all.
I know this is a lot and I know how angry I sound right now, but I'm so sick and so tired of all these guys who are as useful to the human race as pieces of freshly shat out dog turds that have been thrown in the grass by the sidewalk in a hot summer afternoon, who can't see past their lice-infested neck beards trying to make something as colorful, interesting, joyful and queer as anime and the fandoms fit their own boring, stupid and misogynistic worldview.
In Conclusion, Demon Slayer is amazing, horny* and unbelievably queer.
*I'm talking about the male fanservice btw :)
