Kat DmC (witch) Headcanons

I have a few hc for Kat because I learned a few different things this year through an abundance of research and boredom

If she worked as a medium medium, I'd like to think she eventually works with spirits as well. She asks for guidance this way (almost like how Dante needed Phineas' guidance at one point)

When they are short on or Kat generally needs money I totally see her taking the bs "fortune teller" route

She only gives positive advice though, like a therepist just cheaper

Kat works with odd numbers. It's a thing. The Earth was not created perfectly, hence her use of odd numbers

She loves and I mean loves her ribbons. They are practical, helpful for many day to day things and they are cute when placed in hair

Candles! Small candles, big candles, all color candles, even birthday candles if she's in a rush (it all works you guys)

She's very empathetic and it harms her so much when she's young. As she grows older, she needed to learn to be a bit more colder. It was due to her taking in so much of the negativity and energy of those she meets and encounters.

She's not mean she's just been hurt! She's actually really sweet!

Taking on different techniques, she learns different things over the years and that shows through the decoration on herself

She starts to wear bracelets on her left hand for protection, and others on her right, all due to a differnent kind of witchcraft practice.

Her necklace collection grows as well.

She dives into runes, decorating her hands with patterns as well. She jumps into different practices from around the world (she's a nerd she likes to learn new things) and adapts some of those into herself (hence "she decorates herself with what she learns")

I'll add more or possibly elaborate on certain points made. I really wanted to add certain details to fics but I often forget :/

Session 6 double up info dump

Ok, so I'm obsessed with this idea. So it's time to share all of my thoughts on this headcannon.

There was a lot of panic, naturally. For one second, they're humans. The next, they're all knew hybrids.

Grian

-Grian had no idea that people's hybrid traits would be affected by the wild card.

-He knew that the animals would all be swapped but, when everything died, Skizz and Scar started freaking the fuck out because Grian all of a sudden didn't have wings.

-There were they dots, and then boom. He's a creeper like Doc.

-How Doc never exploded was an absolute mystery. Just the stress of Skizz and Scar alone nearly made him explode.

Renchanting

-Ren didn't immediately notice that he wasn't a dog. It was after Martyn started to freak tf out that he realized his hearing was VERY different. And he didn't have a tail.

-That was a fairly easy adjustment aside from this new strange instinct to fly??

-For Martyn, he suddenly had to keep himself very chill, lest he burn down their base. Again.

-Everytime Ren was a different hybrid he changed up his full title. Rather than Rendog; there was Renmoth, Rensheep/Renram, Renbird...ect.

-Those are actually all the differnent versions of Ren I went through trying to draw him.

-Martyn spent a lot of time with Tango trying to figure out how to handle the fire.

General/misc.

-Scott went from creaking, to human, to siren. Lovely whiplash. No flashbacks to limited life, what do you mean?

-Tango was struggling the whole session. He was already cold in the overworld but that was helped with jackets and all that. Now he was physically cold and he didn't know how to fix it. Why were overworlders so cold?!

-All of the lifers were used to being red with their typical hybrid traits. The red lives were a little more out of control than usual.

-Many people, such as Tango had to get used to not having a tail. His balance wasn't as bad as say...Impulse. He's a big guy, who'd depending on his tail far more than he thought.

-The very first change up Cleo got was being a dog. I guess you could say...DoggyCleo? (I'll see my way out). Scott jumped at the image of them as a human, as is. As a dog like Ren? Yeah, that was a surprise.

-Joel was just chilling then there was a poof around him and his ogre traits were gone. Not like he noticed. His wolves were dead.

-It was the same case for Bdubs. He was more focused on his horse. three dots and then it felt wrong to be in the sun. It even hurt a little bit. It took Joel looking over to realize he was looking at a phantom hybrid.

-People were willing to help each other to understand being a certain type of hybrid, like I said with Tango helping Martyn, and Scar definitely giving helpful advice to Joel.

-Sheep Ren at some point got stuck with goat Scar and bull Bdubs. They couldn't help from bonking into each other. Explained Zed, Beef, and Doc.

I'm obsessed with this idea, if you can't believe it.

Alpha News visited Blue Earth County, Minnesota, the hometown of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, to ask residents what they thought of him.

Walz, a former football coach at Mankato West High School, has a past filled with over exaggerated claims and falsehoods.

Red Voice Media reported that local sentiments also indicate that Walz’s Minnesota roots may not be enough to sway voters in his favor.

First, several residents interviewed said they were voting for Donald Trump, which isn’t a good start for Walz.

“We’re both voting for Trump. It’s really the only option,” one couple told Alpha News reporter Liz Collin.

Another resident, who admitted he didn’t vote for Trump in the last election, declared he would cast his ballot for the former president this time around.

“It just drives people to come in to get signs, just to talk, communicate, and have a good time talking about it.”

Blue Earth County has typically leaned Democratic, with the last Republican gubernatorial win dating back to 2002.

However, in 2016, Trump flipped the country, and it seems the trend is sticking for 2024.

Hitzemann expressed doubts about Walz’s impact on the Democratic ticket, saying, “She’s not a strong candidate, and I didn’t even think he was a strong candidate,” adding, “I don’t think he helped her ticket.”

Hitzemann said Walz image in Mankato is much differne to hos public persona.

“He acts like a conservative while he’s campaigning here, and the minute he gets across the river, he switches to his true self,” Hitzemann said.

“There’s a whole lot of things that are coming out about him that we never knew,” he added.

“I don’t see any more interest in the Democratic ticket because of him. I don’t believe so.”

Hitzemann also recalled Walz’s recent appearance at a local football game

I can't guarantee I'll get back into tadc since I feel like the main reason I did after ep 2 was for Ribbun mostly lol but hey who knows? Speaking of, I don't ship them in this AU personally but idgaf what y'all ship with them, preferably not Pomni n Caine tho since this is going by the 1986 version of the movie where Mr. Mushnik acts more like a dad to Seymour.

First up, we have Pomni as Seymour and Queenie as Audrey 2!! I like to think she starts to abstract as she is "dying" of starvation :]

Next up we have Gangle as Audrey and Jax as Orin because OH BOY are they toxic...also added the bow cuz I didn't wanna give Gangle hair but I wanted to give her..something..so ye

Next up we have Bubble, Sun and Moon as the Chiffon girls cuz...idk. My only real thought is Bubble, Sun and Moon are all paired together for the Animiz figure & they're all just talking objects so..yeah

Then we got Caine as Mr. Mushnik and Ragatha as the radio host person thingy that Seymour talks to! For Caine, I decided to take more inspo from Mr. Mushnik's design from the cartoon Little Shop just to differnate this from regular Caine as much. For Ragatha, idk I wanted to make her look like a typical 80s' girl lol

Last, but not least, we got Kaufmo as Arthur Denton!! :3

Also, I didn't feel like drawing them cuz they would play such minor roles but I think Gummigoo would be the first guy to come in and notice Audrey 2 and buy a dozen roses(or two dozen..? i cant remember lol) since that guy already talks a bit like an NPC lol. And then Zooble would be the nurse that just wants to get the hell out of there during the Arthur Denton scene lol.

What hit differn to me was seeing Z so chill about everything during this press tour. She always has been super protective about her private left so I wasn't expecting her going out of her way to be touchy, but she did (honestly she was touching him more than he did) and when he did as well she wasn't uncomfy, not even in the slightest

I think the worst (or best for us) case was when he said "i sound arrogant but fuck them" and she went to massage his thigh 😂😂 Like what?? even the people I know IRL don't do that in public, but she did it in front of camera knowing it was about to be seen by A lot of people. Crazy behavior

Okay I do kind of love the differnences in perspective with the early morning anarchy stream there, with Tubbo willing to throw himself 100% into something, anything, because nothing he's tried worked and feeling guilty that he was responsible when the kids vanished, and Fit's paranoia and willingness to grief (while still having a job with the federation!), while he has a lack of trust in almost anyone or anything, he's just going for his goals (getting off island, getting his son back), and Phil's like, calm bleakness in that he's trying to draw a line in the sand but barely even thinks that this will work because anyone who's directly confronted the Federation has just been bashed back down, so he's just gonna have to take them down with him he guesses.

Like they're all very much working together and in concert, they're allies, but they have such different levels of "thinking this will work" or "what we do next", it's so interesting to rotate.

Got to agree on that. Hikari was defently a chaos agent in her younger years. But even she finds some of the shenanigans these three do a little too much at times. Speically when they try to help Lailis's ability to control poison.

Lailis and Kafka have some proper bonding time too. She likes how her unlce, as she starts calling him instead of the full title, shows her the wonders of the depths. How to hunt kaijus and the little games they play. Kafka proving to be a good playmate for much younger kaijufied siren, and a good challenge for a lot of things. He teaches her a lot of useful stuff as well. From how to properly control ones strenght to pranking the ships and seamen.

The latter of which are groaning in dread as now there two troublemaking and mischievous leviathans they have to look out for. They are swearing she is actually Kafka's own kid with the things she does. Most illegal ships carrying drugs and varuious other things they shouldn't finds its crew jumping ship cause they don't want to deal with two leviathans with a mean pranking streak.

The coast guards find their job to be even easier. But they have to sometimes bribe Lailis to avoid certain ships that do trafficing. People, animals or others. They can't have her drown innocent beings after all. Unless its a kaiju, thats free game.

Which leads to some fun facts about human food for sirens. For the most part, they can eat anything a human can. As long as certain steps are taken. Their tastebuds work very differnently and can't handle strong flavors very well. Sweet, sour, spicy and bitter flavor are the one they struggle most with even if they are in human form. Kafka loves curry, but he can only handle the mild stuff at best. And Kafka always has to skip the onions and other strong flavored sauces when he has burgers. Lailis is the same, though she has a bit of sweet tooth and as gotten addicted to milkshakes. Though she has to be careful as milk is a substance that takes years for a siren to get properly used too.

Something she envy her uncle for. Since Kafka has been making land trips for centuries, he has adapated well when it comes to eating land based food. Lailis father often makes such trips of his own, and would often come back with small treats to share with his wife and daughter so she has gotten some adaption to it herself. Though nowhere near to what Kafka has. It will take decades before she can eat most types of human food without suffering stomache issues and pain.

Kafka would be a great babysitter no matter the AU. Especially when he has a lot of prior experience like here. I do wonder if he handled any other kaijufied mer young too than just Lailis.

Fair with human food and sirens. Some species would respond to it differently.

//With all the writing of Valentine's Day done and me just doing the tedious process of editing and making it look presentable, I figure I will celebrate with another Divine Paradox Pokemon, and moving onto Emma's now, I shall present to you; Frozen Hound!

//Approaching Emma I was gonna go for a Hoenn Pokemon but the question is, which one? It was between either Mightyena or Altaria, and while the latter might be interesting, plus since I was always gonna go Ice for the added type it would be a clever reference to Grusha's Altaria, I figured that Mightyena is a fairly unloved Pokemon and since Harley Quinn owns pet hyenas, which is what Mightyena is based on, that was the one I went for as its more related to Emma and its giving a overlooked Pokemon some much needed spotlight.

//The typing looks obvious and it is as Frozen Hound is a Dark/Ice type. Now this has some very stiff competiton since both Weavile and Chien-Pao are Dark/Ice attackers and last one checked, Mightyena is a physical attacker as well so what can Emma's pet pooch do to compete against a massive Sinnoh threat and one of the Treasures of Ruin? Well firstly, like all Divine Paradoxes, Frozen Hound has Divine Luck as an ability which, given what it can learn is a very useful ability indeed since a lot of its moves have secondary effects, making Divine Luck triggers happen very often.

//Now this is where I differnate from Weavile and Chien-Pao and that is stats as Frozen Hound's stat spread is 70/110/65/140/55/130. That's right to avoid competing with those two speedy physical attackers, I made Frozen Hound more of a Special Attacker! There's no way Frozen Hound would compete with them, plus with Emma's main role being a magic user, having her Divine Paradox Pokemon be more special then physical would work. Of course, its attack stat is nothing to sneeze at and its got good speed. This is naturally balanced by its terrible defences and health so any strong hit will take Frozen Hound out, think of it like a glass cannon it can dish a lot of damage but not take many hits back.

//And now we get to the moves...oh boy the moves. Due to its new stats, a lot more special Dark moves like Snarl and Dark Pulse can be learnt, as well as a lot of Ice moves like Ice Shard, Ice Spinner, Icicile Crash, Ice Beam, Blizzard and even Sheer Cold. But the real fear is that Frozen Hound can still learn the Elemental Fangs so Thunder Fang, Fire Fang and Psychic Fangs are still useable to it. And this is when Divine Luck REALLY comes into play since with a lot of Frozen Hound's moves, they cause flinching, and since it will be outspeeding a lot of Pokemon, you will be flinchhaxed to death if you aren't careful. Better bring a Pokemon with Inner Focus like Lucario to deal with Frozen Hound or else you will not get a single chance to attack! In terms of uliterly moves, it can learn Snowscape, Aurora Veil and some weird moves like Pay Day, Happy Hour and even Make it Rain...which is a odd move to have but oh well. But in all fareness you will be using its primary STABs and some Elemental Fangs to take advantage of the Divine Luck ability.

//Frozen Hound, like Herby Boxer is another chill Paradox Pokemon as long as you don't threaten its trainer. Its actually Emma's emotional support Pokemon as when she was attending therapy, her therapist noticed how Frozen Hound tried to make Emma calm down, and noting that many canine and feline Pokemon are used for emotional support, began training Frozen Hound to help assist Emma with her therapy, this even resulting in its evolution. Its keen sense of smell allows it to detect a whiff of smoke, a trigger for Emma, and if it smells smoke, it will try to get its trainer out of the area so she cannot breathe in the smoke and get a CTSD episode. And when she is having a panic attack, Frozen Hound tries to breath ice onto her in order to calm her down, its ice helping to numb the pain from her arms. It weridly gets on well with Herby Boxer despite the two having obvious type advantages against each other and its learnt to...tolerate Emma's puns. It comes with the package of being with her.

//That's all I have on Frozen Hound. Quite a CHILL Pokemon would you say? I wonder if a certain someone is gonna love this design for some reason...call it a hunch of mine. But we are getting through the Void Paradoxes and Iroha is next, and while her Pokemon of choice is obvious...the balancing is a nightmare and a half. You will see what I mean when we get there.

Well, I know a lot has changed from 2021 to 2024.

For one, Timothée is no longer SINGLE. He's been in a relationship with Kylie for over a year. Idk about others, but I'm definitely a little more cautious about how I come across with my male friends when they're single vs. when they're in a relationship with somebody else.... especially if we're CLOSE. It's not because there's anything romantic going on, and it's not because I even ever had any feelings for them whatsoever. It's more so as a show of RESPECT for the dude and his now gf. It's especially important (imo) when I've known the guy friend longer than he and his gf have known each other. It's a respect thing.

Also, maybe Z HERSELF is an engaged woman by now? Did anyone stop and think about that? 🤔

Keep mind also that when she and Timmy were shopping for his apartment, she was dating JE (a rebound fling) at the time. 😏 Z is now back with TOM, the love of her life imo, and so she might also be more sensitive and cautious to certain things herself because she knows that people heavily ship her with Timmy.

Well, sometimes it's just marketing "talk", but other times, Tom and Z really might be serious about being close to their costars while filming, but then, after filming ends, people go their separate ways, you get busy, you move on, you just have a lot going on in life, that it sometimes gets hard to always hang out and whatnot. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Actors usually lead VERY busy lives. A lot of times, they're on filming sets, or traveling for promotion, or working/prepping for a new role, etc. I'm sure it's hard for some to even sync up their calendars. Look, if it's hard for me to sync up and hang with friends of mine who live in the same city, I can only imagine how it is for actors lol 😆

So that's why, if I ever see or hear of actors hanging out together, or taking the time out to be with a specific person, it's usually because they are really close since they have MADE that time. But other times, people just can't meet up, but it doesn't mean they're not still friends.

I'm sure Tom still talks to Jacob Batalon every now and then, even though they don't hang out as often as they used to. Does it mean they hate each other though? I doubt it.

Fans were shipping her and Timothée BEFORE the First Dune movie press tour! Before they even got to Italy! I know, because I was THERE. It all started when Timmy wrote that birthday tribute to her on IG. 👀 Actually, I take that back. Some fans were excited to see Timdaya content when he and Z were spotted in that Bed, Bath & Beyond Store in NYC. That was waay back in Feb of 2020 girl. 😏

There are even account names dedicated to Timdaya shipping. 🙄 There were tons of pics, gifs, and items dedicated to them on the first press tour.

Timdaya Fans were looking for more Timdaya "content" during the second Dune Part 2 press tour, and were even cropping Austin and Florence out of group photos cuz they were MAD that they were on the press tour and taking time "away" from Timmy and Zendaya content! 🙄

Chiiiiilllle don't even get me started lol! 😅 There is NO WAY you can compare Z being "shipped" with Mike and Josh (who don't even have HALF the size fandom that Timothée does), to Z being shipped with Hollywood's "Golden Boy", Timothée Chalamet. 😏

Austin and Callum for example had a more subdued press tour together for MOTA promotion. Their series was about WW2. Yet, when Austin was with Jodie promoting The Bikeriders, they were silly, goofy, and cutting up! Lol 😂

Austin and Callum, though, are actually really GOOD friends and have even hung out several times outside of work. Just because their press tour was a bit more "serious" (due to the nature of their series) doesn't mean that they are any LESS friends.

I showed you plenty of instances where Z was being fun, and acting JUST FINE around Timmy during the Dune 2 press tour. To me, she was acting normal. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Idk why you don't want to believe that?

Part 2 was way more serious than Part 1 if you ask me. So, the vibe on this press tour was probably a lot different anyway just because part 1 and part 2 are two totally different films, with 2 totally different vibes and messages. Jmho

Also, keep in mind that we don't know what these actors are doing bts when they step away from these interviews. You keep basing all of your opinions on what you can actually SEE, and all I'm saying is, there are things you CAN'T see as well! So don't be so quick to judge smthg based only on what you think you see.

I wouldn't have even known that Timmy sent Darnell some Christian music if he hadn't mentioned it during the press tour rofl 🤣

Obviously, Timmy is close with Z and Darnell. Idk why that's so hard to grasp. Timmy is ALSO in a serious relationship right now though, so the dynamics of "friendship" might have changed due to that, or just due to him being more busy and now needing to divide his time btwn work and his significant other now.

But I'm not going to assume that Z and Timmy have had some sort of falling out or beef simply due to things on a press tour, or a Beyoncé concert (which, BTW all celebrities were in a VIP room together BEFORE they all walked out).

We only see 2% of these people's lives y'all. I think we need to keep that in mind.

great question. i have chosen not to distinguish them, for the simple fact that if i introduced one more option, it was going to blow my arbitrary list to kingdom come. also (ok, truth time, i literally only this second came up with this reasoning) i decided that what i'm after in 2025 is to experience differnent shapes of pasta, and the composition of the pasta should have no bearing on the shape.

however, in this incredibly rigourous scientific endeavor, there is lots of wiggle room and tons of subjective decisions. i encourage creativity in all my students, so if you feel like Egg or No Egg is an important delimiter for you, i will award full marks.

ooh, maybe in 2026 we should try MAKING all these pasta shapes!!!

I just wondered, what sort of discussion would the coming of Earendil and Elwing stir in Valinor. Not just the most obvious of topics regarding their fates, but the mere fact of intermarriage of elves and men. I imagine there was a lively discussion at some point between the scholars of Valinor. Discussing if intermarriage is a good idea, bad idea, should happen, should not happen, natural, unnatural.

At the end, the point I want to make is; if Eru did not want intermarriage to happen, why he designed elves and men in a way that they find each other sexually attractive? Why are they able to breed and have fertile offsprings, if they were not designed to do so.

I wonder how often elves find men attractive (we know plenty of men do find elves attractive), but nothing ever happen between them because of their differning fates. Although, when I think about it, the overall popularity of elf-men among mortal women may not be as high as the fandom would led me to believe.

I know so many women who are into big hairy manly men with beards.. not enough women in real life who are really into the more ethereal androgynous kind.
