Whatever this 'awakening' process was that Amon's associates had attempted on her, it seemed to only partly work. This Panthea cannot control me, though I can hear her thoughts - or perhaps memories - in my mind as though I was interfacing with a node with her voice. I know enough to be certain of four things; 1. Amon has colluded with beings more ancient than the husk he reanimated and the very world itself. 2. These 'Ascians' as they call themselves can bring back old memories of a soul long dead and impose them upon an unsuspecting victim forcing a rebirth of what should stay in the past. 3. They intend to use Panthea's chaotic and destructive nature to destabilise Allag and force a calamity of apocalyptic proportions. 4. They did not truly know this Panthea in the slightest - these are not the memories of a chaotic force, these are the memories of someone who will above all else protect that which she holds dear no matter the cost. On this, we are completely aligned. With the assistance of Panthea's knowledge, I will ensure that the future is never again sacrificed for grand notions of the past.

Shortly before Allag fell for good the Ascians in the area attempted to awaken Pandora with a memory crystal Panthea had previously crafted as a scrapbook for herself. It did not work exactly as intended. Instead of Panthea's memories and presence overriding and overtaking her, Pandora merely had access to them and some semblance of a consciousness which was created through the botched awakening attempt.

The result of this was Pandora had her eyes opened to the fact that she and a large number of Amon's court had been directly manipulated for the Ascian plot. A plot that was somehow worse than Amon dragging Allag's past back from the dead instead of looking forward to new possibilities. A plot that would drag the entire star and all of the sundered reflections back eons into the past.

She turns spy and saboteur for the Meracydian resistance as a result and hides the memory crystal so that it can never be used against any future incarnations of her soul.

Secondly. "They're not metal". Okay? I didn't know you were the authority on what one can consider metal or not. And also, literally who the fuck cares? There are a lot of metal bands out there, if I want to listen to "real metal", well I can just pick one and listen to it. Plus, Tobias Forge knows what "real metal" is, coming from.... Oh wait! an underground metal milieu. He knows that kind of metal and little by little he made his own thing. I listen to Ghost because I like their music, no matter what genre it does or does not qualify as

Lastly. "It's just marketing'". This one pissed me off so much, and I'm so mad I didn't even try to reply at the time. "It's just marketing". Literally how much do you know about the band?? Have you watched Tobias Forge in interviews? Have you watched how intricately he knows music? How he lights up when you just give him a guitar to play with? Have you watched how dedicated they are in their live shows? There are a hundred ways to market a band. But you can only keep up a "shtick" for so long if you're genuine about it, and I've never felt Tobias to be anything else than genuine about his music. Sorry the iconography belongs to "real metal" for you, I guess?

Hello! I've seen you draw a lot of Kamen Rider and got curious about it and wanted to ask what it's about and what it is!

thank you! 💛💜💛 Rider's been near and dear to my heart for well over a decade now, and I'm always happy to suck more people into the void. >:)

Kamen Rider is a Japanese live-action superhero franchise; they come out with a new standalone show every year with brand new characters/story/etc. (so you typically don't need to have seen any of the others to understand it). because every show is often totally different, there's a big variety in tone and quality, but I have some personal recs in this post! and you can also take a look at the wikipedia list (under 'main series') and just see which ones might sound good to you. :D (there's also Ride Kamens, the Twstification-style game that I've really been enjoying, though it is only in Japanese right now.)

at its heart it's basically just a bunch of guys in superhero suits having emotions while swinging foam swords and questionable CGI at rubber monsters, and it's excellent.

sorry, but I love the "set entirely within Lumiose city" announcement. That only increased the hype for me. I love a good, fleshed-out city to wander in. But mostly, to me, that indicates a change in the usual formula, which is really intriguing. Yeah, there's the question of where we'll get wild pokemon - which then raises the question of whether that even will be the same old mechanic we're used to. Or will something else be going on this game? Without a region to fill, how in-depth in the city can they get and what will we be doing?
