kinda over leeds fans blaming americans and pointing fingers at them for how the season went when in general the team sucked (and the board is also a part of how the season went too).

did they all (brenden, tyler, weston, and even jesse) have the best games all the time? absolutely not. and i can admit that. but on the other hand in the games where they weren’t poor they made an effort and tried to make something happen for the team. like look at all the other players around them and yet they are the main ones getting the heat for fighting relegation the entire season and currently being in 18th place. it’s so annoying

#im tired of seeing like ‘the american agenda didn’t work’ or whatever like ok we get it you hate americans and don’t want them in your club #but what’s new #and before anyone like starts im speaking from what I’ve seen this season. yes it’s obvious that me along with a lot of other Americans #watched/supported leeds bc of the players/jesse. if this seems a little biased oh well. im fucking American and am a fan of the guys and #want the best for them. again. I can admit they didn’t have the perfect season and had games where they weren’t the best but again look at #who they were playing with #other than gnoto. summerville. wober…. and like two other players. they were bad!!#like seriously anyone could see that #this also doesn’t mean im saying that they were the only ones trying to help the team stay up throughout the season #anyways I’m done explaining myself if you get it you get it if you don’t too bad

I love the idea of the Wayne kids dropping extremely vague and disturbing comments during galas. Especially when in uncomfortable situations or if they're just bored. They pull out things from their nightlife too. Other times they just make shit up.

Socialite: Oh, dear, your cheeks look so sullen! Who sucked the life out of you?

Tim, dead serious: An old man with a goatee.

listen I expected literally Nothing from the D&D movie okay, like I can't make it clear enough that I expected the most soulless money grab with a good cgi budget imaginable, I went in having already gone through every stage of grief and landed on acceptance and LISTEN

I fucking CRIED during this dumb RPG movie. it wasn't just "not terrible" it was objectively good with a clever plot and compelling characters and sincere emotional beats. this movie loves D&D so fucking much and it NAILS the "a bunch of goobers try to be cool and accidentally discover The Power Of Friendship And Also Great Violence" classic D&D party vibe. their barbarian's last name is fucking Kilgore and my entire family cried in the theater.

I hope they make twelve of these motherfuckers.

i do generally agree with the frustration at the ui and advertising changes on this site and on web 2.0 in general these days but i think its very funny how ppl treated the one piece thing like it was a uniquely egregious sign of web 2.0 decay as if the 2000's neopets experience wasn't logging on to look at the site news and see that the headline was "TAKE YOUR NEOPETS TO THE NEW MOUNTAIN DEW STORE IN NEOPIA CENTRAL AND SATE THEIR HUNGER WITH BAJA BLAST"

I always underestimate how easy it can be to entertain a teenager. I have this preconception that small kids find everything fun even mundane stuff while teens are jaded and self-conscious and need elaborate or cool activities, but my teen cousins are visiting this week and when they arrived I was in the greenhouse having an issue with the filter in one of the tanks, so I asked them if they could catch all the fish from one tank and move them to the other tank, and they were delighted to be given little dip nets and sit on the edge of the tank to hunt fish for 20min. As I asked them to do it I was thinking, it’s like those duck-fishing fairground games from when they were toddlers, they’ll probably think it’s a bit cringe, and five minutes into it these jaded teenagers were like, hey it’s like duck fishing at the funfair when we were toddlers, I've missed it, it’s fun :D

#it's my mum who has preconceptions about teenagers actually and then her concerns rub off on me #i'm like [teen cousins] are visiting this week and she's all worried like what are you going to do with them so they're not bored?#are there any escape games in your region?#the answer is no. what’s really ironic about the “just let everyone get infected w covid!! herd immunity!!” arguments now is that letting the virus run rampant through the world has actually achieved the opposite: everyone may get infected, but then they’ll just keep getting infected. delta infections didn’t protect against the original omicron variant. omicron BA.1 doesn’t protect you against BA.2.12.1. none of them really protect you against BA.4 and BA.5. mass infection is not going to create mass immunity, it just means that with every infection you’re rolling the dice on what this unpredictable and very creative virus is going to do to you
