cod dudes with a nurse y/n but make it lowkey realistic: bc lets be real, after a 12 hr shift you do NOT want to hang out with friends, party, or socialize. ur feet hurt from walking and standing all day, your ears are tired from hearing the IV pumps beep all day, and the smell of C.diff makes u want to vomit. nurse y/n just wants to sit down or lay on the couch and be non-verbal... Gaz, price, and rudy are the sweetest. they pick that up real quick after mistakenly asking "hows ur shift" and y/n trauma dumped them for 5 hrs straight. they don't immediately ask for hugs and kisses bc they know u overwhelmed. they just pour u a cup of wine and sit next to you until YOU talk to them first. you lowkey gossip with them on ur day off or randomly be like "omg look at that dude over there next to the parking spot its giving edema". and then theres soap and ghost. Soap is clingy, yall really think hes gonna survive 12hrs of not seeing you? this man was waiting by the door at 7:15 pm. on the dot. wants to hug and kiss you and tell you about his day. but ur just so. fucking. tired. you tried to be as responsive but it always ended up with a tired "mhm". He legit got upset a few times but he'd be a good sport about it tho. eventually he caught on a couple of weeks in and now he just comes and hugs you from behind, kisses ur face, and cuddles you silently (AFTER you throw away ur dirty scrubs and shower. that C.diff smell is yucky yucky). Tells you he appreciates your care and effort for the patients every day :). Ghost.... omgg he said something lowkey offensive to you right after u got home from the worst shift of ur week. and he didnt even know WHAT he said/did, hes kinda bad a picking up ur cues. nurse y/n just turned around slowly, gave him the NASTIEST side eye, and stared at him for a good 2.5 min. This man immediately retreated from ur couch to wherever he was b4 like a hermit going back to its shell lmao. 2 hrs later you find a small written note and ur fave gurl dinner on the dining table.

Alejandro..... this man is SO PROUD of his s/o being a nurse. hes showing you off every chance he gets!!! He takes Nursing week SERIOUSLY. give you massages, spas, gifts, ect. but he doesnt get how tired and overwhelmed you are. you have to physically tell him to stop asking or letting his family asking medical question. That chapter lowkey read like a date and like Yuuji really wanted to change his mind before the end and also get to know him more, learn more about him while baring parts of himself he never bared to anyone else (like sheesh... that's pretty deep). He was hoping for an equal exchange (I bare out my heart, you bare yours) but Sukuna wasn't giving anything (even him recognizing hydrangeas got brushed off as Megumi's memory... why is he so afraid of admitting he likes flowers smh)

It's really funny because with them every single thing works somehow? Like there's a solid basis for every interpertation regarding their relationship. Do you see them as enemies? Do you see them as reluctant friends? Do you see them as soulmates? Do you see them as two parts of a single soul? Do you see them as each other's curse? As each other's salvation? Platonically or romantically? Do you see them as lovers? Do you see them as reincarnated uncle and nephew? Do you see them as ??? aka "I don't even know"? All of those are correct interpretations because the ground work to cover all those explanations exists. That's why they're like crack cocaine to me. They are many things in a single package. Mirrors. Foils. Twins. Equals. Opposites.

Objectively— it's true that Yuuji chased Sukuna around, trapped him (frantically) in a domain so he could parade him around his hometown and get them to hang around (while Sukuna, unnaturally, obliged). It's true that Sukuna, no matter how much he claims he doesn't care, cares about him in a weird way. It's clear because he acts a lot more differently with Yuuji than he does with the rest (plus him being the only human for Sukuna who's different than the rest... you already know what canon said lol. I'll get carried away). It's undeniable that there's something very special between them. That's canon! So seeing chapter 265 as awfully romantic isn't a bad interpretation. Their relationship is just... undefined. They're weird and tied to each other, in a love-hate relationship <3

Now personally, I see them in many different aspects. I love them as a ship, platonically, romantically, as die hard enemies or whatever. Their dynamic is the highlight of jjk for me because nobody does it like them. Their chemistry is off the charts and they match each other even if they're so different from each other. Idk I'm insane.

Well, they are a bit iffy to ship to a lot of ppl because Yuuji's a minor (even tho he lived through hell and back at just fifteen and is more mature than actual adults in this manga) and because of reincarnated incest (uncle and nephew) which is invalid if you apply the logic of reincarnation– Yuuji doesn't have Sukuna's twin brother's soul, after all, (He's a completely different one. Biology doesn't equate soul sharing lol.) so it's not just about heteronomativity. After all, people have latched onto other m/m ships without problems but consider these two not shippable even if canon ties them together again and again and they embody good tropes and their relationship is 101 how you can write some damn good tragedies or redemption arcs (because their dynamic and them as characters just work so well together that it's insane).

As somebody who really doesn't care about all the problems this ship carries (because I see them as characters in a fictional world), all of that is irrelevant to me because I, like you, am rolling around in love and screaming into the void because Gege finally brought them together again. That was all that mattered to me! Now I'm excited for what's to come and am really curious how jjk will end.

They'll be the death of me as well. I'll miss them a lot once jjk ends :( Thank you for the ask!

One thing I do when it comes to shipping is just thinking of how possessive or jealous said characters of ship would be. It’s like fucking mandatory at this point for me so you know what that means.

Ships used in this post are my go twos Goldenpunk and Ghostflower cause they’re my OTPs. (Since I’m following the movies a bit let’s just say that Pavitr and Gayatri just has a mutual break up and are besties okay? Okay, we don’t tolerate Gayatri slander here.) No like? No read.

Ok right off the bat Hobie is definitely not the jealous type at all. Nada, zilch, nope. To me he’s just confident and knows that Pavitr isn’t gonna go run off with some random person so he doesn’t really feel the need to be jealous in the first place. But don’t get it twisted there’s a difference between jealousy and anger. Such as if Pav is getting uncomfortable in a situation where someone keeps on trying to push themselves onto him after Pav has said no. Yeah Hobie is gonna threaten the hell out of them but if it continues he’s not afraid to fight. Doesn’t matter if you’re a boy, girl, or whatever you better know sign language cause all you gonna be seeing is hands. He is very big about boundaries and doesn’t play when it comes to it as well.

I can’t really see Gwen as the jealous type. “BuT pAwS DIDNTYOUSEEHERDRAGGINGMILESAWAYFROMMARGO!!!!!!” Yes yes I know I know but this whole thing for me is happening after the whole multiverse chase Miles to the ends of the earth thing happened. So yeah she’ll feel a tad bit jealous when Miles gets flirted on by another girl (he doesn’t even notice that he’s being flirted on unless it’s really obvious let’s be honest) but it’s quickly overridden by guilt that since she betrayed Miles and really hurt him emotionally that yeah maybe he does deserve someone better than me someone that won’t hurt him so badly. Miles is quick to break that train of thought tho. The moment he sees that look on her face he’s quick to realize that he’s being flirted on and wraps his arm around Gwen’s waist and is like “This is my girlfriend Gwen by the way, you two should hang out some time, it sounds like you guys have some stuff in common.” And reassures her that no one in the entire multiverse could ever make his heart race like her.

Miles yeah he’s the jealous type. You can’t tell me this walking ray of sunflowers doesn’t have some type of tiny insecurities after that whole fucking being body slammed into a damm train thing and having someone tell you you’re a mistake thing happen to him. NO ONE CAN WALK OUT OF THAT THING WITHOUT AT LEAST A TINY BIT OF DOUBT. Also it was obvious with anytime Gwen mentioned staying over at Hobie’s during the second movie. He’s not very like obvious with it, it’s more like when he sees someone flirting with Gwen he stands closer to her and “casually” wraps his arm around around her shoulders. He’s basically the song Jealous by Nick Jonas and no one can ever convince me otherwise. He gets why people would flirt with Gwen cause who the hell wouldn’t his girlfriend is fucking amazing but dude back tf up she’s taken.

Pav……this man…this man lowkey fucking possessive. He’s not even fucking subtle about it, while Miles might glare a bit this man is is sending fucking death threats with his eyes. It’s not even from insecurity too this man managed to date Gayatri who is a fucking model and now he’s dating Hobie who was also a fucking model this man is confident as shit. It’s more along the lines that everyone just keeps on fucking staring and flirting with Hobie (and he can’t blame them have you seen his boyfriend?) and honestly it’s becoming annoying to be like “yeah MY BOYFRIEND is amazing isn’t he? I’m so glad we’re dating.” All the damm time cause cause Hobie finds it fucking hilarious when Pav is “jealous”, so he makes it clear that they’re dating from the very beginning. Anytime someone is flirting with Hobie he walks next to his boyfriend and like snatches his hand into his own very fucking obviously. There’s no way people don’t immediately catch on and back off. And we’ve seen the way he’s talked about Gayatri there’s no way he doesn’t gush and go on and on about Hobie and how his boyfriend is so hot and is in the band and can play guitar and has amazing fashion taste and such. He’ll fawn over Hobie to anyone who has ears this man doesn’t shut up.

Okay there's this one ""stereotype""?? I've noticed I've always had myself and it's kinda funny tho, but also it's kind of interesting thinking about it???

It's kinda hard putting my thoughts into actual words so bear with me here kfhdjd

So basically yknow when people are joking about how [sexuality] often has a completely different "taste" in [gender they're not attracted to]

I already felt this back when I was in my lesbian stage of the pipeline from pansexual to aroace ( How is this such a common thing???? Why are we all so oblivious?????) and I'd often had male characters/actors, etc, that I'd call adorable and be like :3 look at him!!! And then I'd had people just be like bruh... why...

And I still have this a lot, where I love to look at someone in the aesthetic way and just think they're very pretty or cute and then I'd often see people call them looking weird or ugly. Does anyone else have that?? Maybe it's also because in my head I just don't categorize people into ugliness, I think it's weird calling people ugly, either you like how someone looks or you don't, they can't exactly do anything against it?

And to come back to the "stereotype"/joke about people with weird tastes, I think it also comes back to appreciating someone's appearance in a different way other than being attracted to them. It's just natural that most of the time the people are getting thirsted over are more "conventionally attractive", because even if it's subconsciously, people will often look at them in a sexual or romantic way.

And I've always found this weird, especially when seeing people thirst over characters or idols, etc, I always get disgusted- not in a judging way, I just don't wanna see that stuff goodbyee 🛌 I have so many blocked or muted just because thirst posts keep showing up on my for you pages bc the general fandom likes it. So if you're blocked by me on any site, it's probably nothing personal... Tumblr sadly doesn't have a proper efficient way to mute that, so I just always have to block and feel lowkey bad 🥲

So yeah, what I'm thinking is you can appreciate someone's beauty more freely when you don't see them mainly in a sexual way. Obviously, this isn't a FACT, just an observation from different reactions. Like when someone gets called ugly and it's immediately being made about something sexual or romantic, like "you're never gonna get a girl looking like that!" "I wouldn't wanna sleep with someone ugly like you!!", it just feels so weird to me... Obviously, it probably does to most decent people, but I hope you get what I'm trying to say here kdjdjdhd

On another note, maybe it's just a personal me thing, but sometimes I'll have a ship only to find out... no one else ships it?? Or barely anyone.

Now, I really hate romance and avoid it like the plague, but every now and then, I'd have two characters I'd ship a bit and think they're kinda cute together! (Although I'd probably not want any of those to actually be canon bc I can't stand watching cheesy scenes lmaoo)

Idk, this doesn't bother me. I've been in fandom since the late 90s, I'm more than used to shipping non canon gay ships. It still lowkey blows my mind that gay ships sometimes become canon now. If that's important to you for shipping them then yeah you'll probably be disappointed, but I don't think it should stop you from being into the griffguts fandom. The whole point of fandom is to explore things the canon doesn't.

Also I don't think it's a waste even if they're never confirmed as romantic. I'm not gonna say it's better if their relationship stays ~complex and ambiguous~ lol, I consider that a homophobic line of thinking, but I think homoerotic subtext is still worthwhile in and of itself and often a lot more fun to theorize about and analyse than textual romance. It's why even my favourite canon ships have a long slow build-up of subtext first. And even if the narrative doesn't admit it's gay, it doesn't change anything I love about their relationship right now.

Idk, I hope you can enjoy what we do have, both in canon and fandom (like griffguts fic, fanart, meta, etc), but if it's too much of a disappointment that we'll probably never get something like a love confession, then I hope you find a canon ship you enjoy just as much!

Three Fun Facts About Me:

I have never been in a relationship before. Ever. The only experience I have in that department is through other people's stories, not really my own. And by that, I mean that I'm used to watching my friends/people around me getting in and out of relationships, and listening to songs about romance and love and heartbreak... but not really relating to them due to not having any of those experiences myself (but it's alright, tho. It'll happen when it happens! In the meantime, I always have my made-up ships from my writing lol).

My favourite book growing up was "Matilda" by Roald Dahl. I thought Matilda was such a cool girl growing up lol. And lowkey relatable in a lot of ways. No, I wasn't a child genius. But she kind of fits into the archetype that I always found comfort in due to being that kind of person myself. Smart/intellectually curious, bookworm, introverted/independent, genuinely kind and has a heart in spite of being seen as cold by others (another example of this is Huey from Boondocks. Been rewatching some episodes of that show recently and wow... forgot how crazy it was lol. It's good, tho).

Christmas is my favourite holiday! 🎅❄️🎄I do get why some people may dislike it, I guess (like, my younger sister isn't a fan, and she's explained why... I get it. The over-commercialisation of it takes a lot of the "specialness" out of it, you know? Distracts from the actual meaning behind it and all. Plus, it can suck if you're just feeling sad and lonely during a time of celebration for everyone else. Aside from that, technically Easter is more significant if you look at it from the lens of which Christian holiday is most important). But I love the joyfulness and festiveness. Makes me feel all jolly and cosy inside. Plus, I love singing Christmas carols. And presents. And Christmas movies. I just love Christmas lol.

Introvert. 100% introvert lol. I feel most comfortable within myself when I'm by myself. As a kid, I was so painfully shy that the thought of going up to someone and asking a simple question would terrify me lol. As I got older, though, I was super duper lonely, and I realised that I had no real friends because I was keeping myself all closed off in a tight shell, so I'd literally force myself to open up and become more social and make friends with other kids. I practised it, like how you do with any skill. Now it's not so bad. I'd say I can carry a conversation with someone fairly well, even if I don't know them so well.

I think I'll go with something a little bit more traditional. I'm Kenyan, and one of my favourite meals that I've grown up eating is chapatti and stew (any kind of stew, or soup. But my mum would usually make this stew with kidney beans. That was a big hit growing up). Haven't had it in almost a year, tho.

Aside from that, I love pizza. And Nandos.

kokogami - now let me explain a few things here.. i checked both 'grew on me' and the big bad 'IDCCC' cuz truthfully i couldnt care less abt it esp in canon idgaf and the 1st few times i rewatched raincode they jst frustrated me sm as a pairing. like at first it was jst me being a shini hater but even after i started to like her more i jst canntttt get myself to like them in any romantic scenerio. but i do love how ppl in the fandom portray them a lot and all the fanart is very cute so i guess wht i mean when i say it grew on me is that ive come to like it more cuz of fanon :thumbsupemoji:

makoyomi - ok so like. when i first watched raincode and saw them interact for the 1st time i was like ok yeah. i see why this is one of the biggest ships in the fandom. and normally i would ship it right away but for some reason i consciously decided to do everything in my power to not let myself ship it. i dont rememeber whyyyy?? i did that?? i think i jst thought that would be rlly funny to like. me and no one else

but anyway with each rewatch i grew to like them more + fandom influenced me. but like i still wouldnt say i ship them.. i like their dynamic but i dont care for it as any kind of romantic/whtever ship neccessairly.. its mostly jst very funny to me. i rlly like yomi having a weird complicated hate crush on makoto and having no idea how to deal with it . like it doesnt even cross his mind to rlly consider it anything possibly romantic or sexual even tho it lowkey might be. who knows. hes jst mad abt it

dirkuu - havent thought abt them for a while but i mean. theyre hilarious i love caliborn and i love dirk . theyre jst stupid as fuck and i love all the fanart of them its like some of my fav pieces of hs fancontent probably.. yeah not much else to say abt it lol
