UFHDJDJDHD okay i am TERRIBLE at finishing projects and they tend to Languish, so here is my Current List to entice myself to finish

Harrowhark figurine (left to do: look over the cloak, maybe add a wash, glue together. its SO CLOSE)

griddlehark plushies (left to do: fix harrow's hair, make harrow's outfit, attach harrow's head and eyes. poor lil gideon has been single for like a year now 😭)

TUG stageplay project (left to do: edit pictures, reshoot 2-3 scenes, figure out how to post images on ao3/etc formatting)

bookbinding project 1 (finish typesetting. figure out how to print in quarto. decide on title page font. make book)

bookbinding project 2 & 3 (i mean idk i have to kinda do everything for these. but putting em on the list bc i've in my brain conceptually started them)

update TLT merch banner w my new stuff bc i've been to TWO cons since i've touched it

ftmob is hard to write because it is literally just about things that are not true, and i can't give the game away for SO LONG...... i can't correct pretty much anything. you are not supposed to know i'm lying to you. but sometimes. i want to be like. LOOK HERE! I AM LYING TO YOU! because i of course know what is actually happening and i think everything that goes on is very funny and that i am being very clever. i want to tell you the joke so bad............ i want to point at all the misdirection as soon as i put it out and be like HERE IS MY RUSE!!! did it trick you?? do you see it??? it's a LIE!! HAHAHAHAHA. anyway here's an immediate contradiction and massive hint. but i can't do that. i have to say a bunch of things that are wrong and just leave them there. for AGES.

on the one hand this is just what writing is, honestly, but ON THE OTHER. this is a very different thing from other things that i've done because most of the time, when there's like, confusion and conflict like this, the characters like...... solve it... as they go along. they more or less stumble into and linearly work out the actual shape of things and arrive at the or at least a conclusion. and go on from there. that. is not what happens here. in order for the plot to progress things have to get steadily More bogged down into Very Wrong, and then we go to the b plot with the foundation of assuming actually all of those things are true. i just have to leave it there. i can't even touch it. FOR. AGES. it's like building a house in a swamp. so much work..... so many dreams, so many plans........... it will not last. AND I KNOW THAT!! still i have to build it for you and move you in. you have to live there for A While.

this is of course all in service of a much higher joke and a way bigger payoff, so theoretically? so worth it. BUT I HAVE TO DELAY GRATIFICATION SO MUCH...... I HAVE TO ACTIVELY PUSH PEOPLE AWAY FROM IT. i want you to get there.... and yet. you cannot. never have i ever had to obfuscate a conflict this hard. it is literally the point that you don't even know what the hell the story is actually about until. mmmmmm maybe half way? a third of the way in? somewhere between those two. SO LONG............ anyway.

and like. honestly i do know i just need to get into the groove of it and then this will also be fun, but i'm so not used to constructing a plot in this way...... it's not even all that convoluted i just DESPERATELY want to put breadcrumbs where i Should Not. every single time. like no.......... Just Do It. Just Lie.

double anyway. pain. tfw you can't tell a story until fairly far into the story. chomping at the bit. i have to tell you all the wrong things.................... screaming crying etc.
