"Oh my god he’s dead- we killed a vigilante, OHMYGODOHMYGOD—" A hysterical voice screeched out, decidedly feminine and loud enough that the comn line picked it up.

"He broke in here for no reason first! We have probable cause as to why you brained him with our wok!" The second interjected, calmer than the first, but there was still a line of tension, like they were uncertain about what they were saying.

"Oh my god, oh god we’re literally so dead Batman’s literally going to murder me and you and us and—"

"We're already mostly dead, he can't kill us. Although I thought he had a no killing rule anyways, so maybe we’re safe? Ancients, that is a lot of blood. You think we should call an ambulance?" Static filtered through the comn line before stabilizing again and wow. The residents of the apartment were really just having a full conversation over an unconscious Nightwing- in earshot of a microphone recording every word- like this was a normal occurrence. Maybe it was a normal Friday night for them, Barbara couldn't exactly judge.

"I'm not calling an ambulance, they might arrest him. Hell, they're probably gonna arrest us! Danny, we're fucking unresgistered metas in Gotham, I’m a clone—"

"—Not metas and I won’t let anyone arrest you—"

"—It's the same thing to the government at the end of the day. You're right though. I think I hit him too hard, we're going to lose the deposit with the amount of blood getting everywhere. Head wounds bleed a lot right? Maybe he's not dead."

"He's not dead, we'd know if he was."

"Oh. Right. Man. That is a lot of blood, our IKEA rug is ruined. I liked that rug, you think we could ask him to buy a new one when he wakes up or is he on the normal vigilante salary of nothing?"

“Mhm. I'll go get the med kit, you handcuff him to the table so he doesn't jump us when he wakes up. Keep the mask on- I don’t want to piss off whatever buddies he’s got listening in.”

WIP Wednesday

Tagged by @sashthesloth, let's just say I have a lot of wips and it's going to keep piling up. But, I'll pick the ones that I hope I can finish 🙏

First off, is an Astrel illustration. Since Ly'rill got their own illustration, might as well draw one for my other comfort girlie. The other wip is me figuring out other harpykin and traditional outfits that they wear. I just think it'll fun exploring Astrel's heritage.

Another wip is for the imodna folks and I'm actually really happy with the background. It'll be a bit before I can finish them

There's another wip that I'm currently working on but I can't show them because it's zine work. Just know it's ffxiv related zine 👍

Father was never around. Always too busy. Richard was never around. Always too busy. The rest of his siblings were never around. Always too busy. They had their own lives to attend to. Damian was used to this. So, he created a little experiment.  

He stared at his phone and looked back to the electric guitar he got. He bit his lip in thought. On one random night where he sat and looked outside his window, he decided how long his family would notice if he was suddenly a famous music artist. Damian spent the last few months learning how to play and sing.(Don’t ask how he did it) He typed out his username, “Mockingbird”. If he was going to be successful in his plan he needed a social media account to promote it. Twitter was probably not the best app to do it, but his family described it as hell on Earth– he concluded that they most likely wouldn’t be on this app a lot. Damian also created a Tiktok account because it was a good app to promote his music.

Now time for his profile picture. Damian propped his phone on his bedside drawer. He held the guitar by the neck. He had sunglasses that looked like bats on. He wore a white dress shirt and navy jeans with bat symbols stitched on the side. It wasn’t obvious… he hoped.

one thing that keeps happening when I write otayuri is Otabek: well behaved, does as he's told, stays in his lane, only speaks when spoken to, doesn't derail dialogue with banter (unless provoked), actually more flexible than Yuri (characterization-wise, not physically), very versatile, truly can - and will - do it all Yuri: a menace. an unpredictable force of nature. will start shit, all the time, unprovoked. does whatever the fuck he wants. will derail dialogue as if it's an olympic sport. will not shut up (or will refuse to speak to anyone, there is no in between). can turn any plot into a trainwreck and is probably proud of it. 'oh cute outline you got there, would be such a shame if someone blew it to pieces...' -> distant sound of wordcount exploding (context: I spent all day yesterday working on one of my WIPs and the second I typed " for Yuri to start speaking the entire fucking scene went completely off the rails which was admittedly a ton of fun but also WE ARE NOT GETTING ANYWHERE LIKE THIS YURA FOR FUCKS SAKE PLS I AM BEGGING YOU JUST PLAY ALONG FOR ONCE AND LET ME FINISH THE CHAPTER OH MY GOD

The tapping at the keyboard did not still. “Yes of cour— Tim, you sold your soul?”

“Oh my god, you forgot.” He dramatically threw a hand against his chest, collapsing sideways out of the chair to land on the cave floor. “I’m wounded. In my cold, soulless heart, shot straight through it. You forgot I sold my soul. Dick, how could you?”

“It’s been a hectic few years-“

“It’s my soul Richard Greyson. Isn’t that important? I sold my soul to the Ghost King and now it’s apparently changed hands.”

“The Ghost King sold your already sold soul?!?”

Tim sat back up, using the BatDesk to pull himself to his feet. “Nah, apparently the og king got bested in combat and the new king now owns it. He sent me a letter. So we could meet. And potentially discuss me repossessing my soul. Anyway, are you free Thursday cause that’s when he’s picking me up and he said I could bring a friend. Cissie already said no, so you’re the next on my list.”

Dick had long since abandoned whatever report he’d been working on and was staring at Tim with what could only be described as ‘major concern.’ “Can we please backtrack to the fact you sold your soul to a Cthulhu-like entity?”

“No.”

Okay, hear me out…

Yes, that’s right, it’s time for another round of “is it a shitpost or are you just happy to see me?” I’m here with another silly idea I’ve talked a bit about on my Discord. Ahem.

Obviously, this could work with a lot of BSD ships, but married Chuuatsu learning for the first time they’re on “opposite sides” is hilarious in my head.
