listen u don't post as much as I used to on here, but eventually there will be a time when I am up, kicking, and posting about my writing again. and like. I do still post. in my mind, unless it's been actual years, you haven't "left writeblr."
some people need to view themselves like youtubers with cursed upload schedules. come back every 8 months with a flurry of posts and then dip again. who cares? I know that you can use tumblr to make money, but you aren't being paid to post. this is just a website to share your writing and connect to other writers. for the love of all that is holy stop pressuring yourself. this is not tiktok. you do not need to post everyday otherwise the algorithm will send u to the shadowrealm.

character idea: guy who's infected with like 7 different parasites that are all trying to control them in different ways, so it ends up rounding out and the guy can just move normally

Meeting
Rowan hung pathetically from the kitchen shelf, berating himself for the situation he had managed to get himself in. Meters below him was his hook- laying uselessly on the marble counter below him. He cursed quietly and tried fruitlessly to pull himself back up onto solid ground.
Why had he tried to do this?? Everything would have been fine if he just stayed in his hole- he had more than enough food to last another couple days- but after he overheard the human mention something about a ‘spring break’ and not going to school during the day, he was anxious that there wouldn’t be another chance to stock up. Now he was trapped, with no way up or down, and his grip steadily exhausting keeping him from plummeting to his death.
Suddenly, he heard the front door click behind him, sending a surge of panic through his already aching nerves. He made one last ditch effort to pull himself back onto the shelf, but was only able to writhe hopelessly suspended in the air.
When Ben walked into his kitchen that afternoon, the last thing he was expecting to see was a tiny person dangling from his kitchen shelves; and as anyone with sense and grace would in that situation, he promptly let out a shriek and backpedaled into the hall. After deciding he had probably just hallucinated the thing, he airily laughed at his own stupidity- why the fuck would there be anyone his kitchen? Not to mention if it was a spider or something, it’s like, a hundredth his size and hopefully not even venomous.
He was truly miserable to realize that he was definitely not hallucinating, and that there were absolutely no spiders to be found.

I don’t really know where to go with this from here, but I feel like Ben and Rowan deserve more fleshed out story. Writing is hard but so much faster than drawing ;-;

i'm so glad goncharov happened when it did, right before prolific public use of AI. that was pure honest gaslighting straight from the heart. real human whimsicality and trickery thru blood sweat and tears. we were a family. and we all gonched, together. you cant replicate that with any machine.

Two lovers have reincarnated throughout history, destined to find each other and fall in love all over again. There’s also this third guy that reincarnates alongside them… we don’t really know what he does.

speculative fiction writers i am going to give you a really urgent piece of advice: don't say numbers. don't give your readers any numbers. how heavy is the sword? lots. how old is that city? plenty. how big is the fort? massive. how fast is the spaceship? not very, it's secondhand.
the minute you say a number your readers can check your math and you cannot do math better than your most autistic critic. i guarantee. don't let your readers do any math. when did something happen? awhile ago. how many bullets can that gun fire? trick question, it shoots lasers, and it shoots em HARD.
you are lying to people for fun. if you let them do math at you the lie collapses and it's no fun anymore.
