Ooh! I like this. I'm sorry I can't choose just one...

EDIT: I think they're all my favourites because of how raw I felt writing them. I try to open myself up to the characters and how they feel when I write it. For these ones, just seeing the titles and headers, I feel the emotions ghosting back to me again.

I put a lot of effort into all of my work. And yet, it's some of my silly drabbles that are the most read and "liked".

Jesper flexed his hands to chase the antsy sensation; that nervous prickling beneath his skin coursing all the way up his arms. He hated waiting lines with a passion, and while the customs office in Bhez Ju wouldn't make them wait for more than fifteen or twenty minutes, it felt as if he'd been stuck in that queue for six hours already. This was made a lot worse by the fact he was standing just behind Wylan. All Jesper could do was stare at the back of his head, itching to thread his fingers into that ridiculous mop of tousled, chestnut curls, and undo some non-existent knots. This wouldn't be appropriate and he suspected the touch would be unwelcome anyway.

For the fourth time, he considered clearing his throat, or coughing, just to catch Wylan’s attention. But then, what would he do? What would he say? Would Wylan even turn around to acknowledge him? He doubted it. Since they got off the Lantsov prince's flying craft, Jesper still hadn't mustered the courage to speak to Wylan, or found anything clever or funny to say, which was out of character. He was the king of flirting; unmatched, and yet, Wylan's own hurt and anger kept throwing him off his game.

An unexpected opportunity presented itself when the line moved and Wylan pulled his forged passport from his leather satchel.

Jesper leaned forward and whispered. “It's Cletus.”

Wylan’s shoulders shook. Was this a shiver, the pleasant kind, or a shudder of horror? Jesper couldn't tell.

“What?”

“The name on your passport,” Jesper clarified. “I thought you’d like to know before you speak to the officer. You're Cletus Phrebeny, 16 years old, from Saint-Hilde. The age is probably another one of Kaz's poor attempts at humor. I wouldn't pay it any heed if I were you.”

The line moved some more.

“I know what's on the passport,” Wylan whispered back between clenched teeth, staring straight ahead. “Inej told me already.”

“For the record, I think Wylan is a much better name,” Jesper commented. “It’s very pretty, just –”

“Sorry,” Wylan cut him off. The officer had gestured for him to walk up to his table, and Wylan abandonned Jesper there, with the end of the sentence still on his lips:

“ –just like you...”

“Don't be daft. Give up, or you'll end up hurting him even more, and hurting yourself in the process.”

“But I can't give up! I want to kiss that stupid face again!”

Ever since they left Ketterdam, Jesper's inner monologue had been similar to a bickery dialogue between two characters from the Komedy Brute.

“There are other boys out there, girls too; ones that would be more than happy to end up lying under you; plenty of fish in the sea. Why this one?”

“Because there’s no other Wylan; in the sea or otherwise.”

THE SWORD OF DAMOCLES IS SWINGING ⸺ this is the first book in a pjo au that i am working on, it is based on the books AND is not really based on the tv show series as i started it months before the show came out. it starts in the titan's curse and thus contains spoilers (for those who have only watched the show) for the lightning thief and sea of monsters. it is a slow burn luke castellan fic, with a little bit of grover underwood sprinkled in although as i'm writing it, i am currently considering that luke/oc/grover be the end pairing in the series. only time will tell what the endgame pairing will be. currently the book is focusing on found family and the roll the oc plays in the pjo verse.

Bucky was minding his own business,  leafing through a reader’s guide to Lord of the Rings when Tony swept into the common area of the Tower. “Come with me. Now.”  

He grabbed Bucky’s hand,  barely giving him time to scramble up from the comfortable armchair he’d been sitting in before dragging him into the kitchen. 

“What’s going on, pal?” Bucky spluttered out as  Tony sat a large insulated bag down on the island.

“I have had a terrible day and now feel a critical need for ice cream,” Tony replied as he got a couple bowls out of the cupboard. “They only had my favorite flavor in the quart size,”  he opened the bag and pulled out a fancy-looking container,   “ and if left to my own devices, I will eat this whole damn thing and make myself sick,” Tony thrust a spoon at Bucky, “so I need you to split it with me.”  

“Uh, okay.” Bucky wasn’t really hungry, but there was no way he was going to turn down something sweet. Or a chance to spend time with his crush.  “What kind is it?” 

“Rocky Road.”  

“Never heard of it.”

Tony’s face lit up as he pried the top off.   “Oh sunshine, You are in for a treat!” he exclaimed with an almost fanatical grin.  “Unless you’re allergic to walnuts or almonds?” 

“Nope.”  Bucky hoped he wasn’t blushing too much at Tony’s casual endearment.  He held out his bowl as Tony loaded it up with what looked  – and smelled - like chocolate ice cream with chunks in it. “What’re the white bits?” 

“Marshmallow.” Tony served himself an equal amount and - still using the large serving spoon - took a big bite of the ice cream.  He let out an obscene sounding moan that sent pleasant shivers down Bucky’s spine. 

“That good, huh?” Bucky murmured, taking a bite of his own.  The ice cream was amazingly rich and smooth, coating his tongue with dark chocolatey bliss.  The marshmallows  added an unexpected, but welcome chewy texture to the experience, contrasting nicely with the crunch of the nuts.  Bucky couldn’t hold in his own hum of pleasure and Tony’s eyes lit up in delight. 

“I know, right? It’s better than sex.” Tony winked. “Well, almost.”  

“Afraid it’s been too long for me to make a valid comparison.” Bucky found himself saying, adding in a wink of his own. 

Tony raised an eyebrow. “That is both a surprise and a shame, my handsome friend.” He scooped up another spoon of ice cream and gave it a  slow, seductive lick.    “Let me know if you’re interested in refreshing your memory any time soon.”

Wish movie rewrite

Can we all agree that the Wish movie was kinda bland? Like, it's not inherently a terrible movie, it just wasn't good. I really wasn't too interested in this movie until I saw the scrapped concept art. My one weakness in life is pretty fantasy boys, so you guys just know I lost my crap when I saw that we could have had a shape-shifting star boy.

Now, where tf am I going with this? Well, I have made a commitment to rewrite the Wish movie (with my own flair) on Ao3! Here's some of the things I changed:

Asha isn't the same adorkable cookie cutter Disney mc that every single female lead has been for a while

Star boy is going to be a character

Amaya is going to be evil along with Magnifico

Asha is the daughter of Amaya and Magnifico
