its very irritating interesting to see a lot of people hating aventurine, like yes hes sly and seems like this rich guy who cares about nothing else but money, but ironically he hasnt really lied to us so far, or screwed us over, in comparison to some other characters hes actually been honest and helpful and at least we know his motives.

also theres the whole 'he was a slave who didnt get an education and his family probably died horrible deaths' thing, and after all that he managed to crawl his way to the top of the ipc ladder by himself, aka the people who (presumably) enslaved him.

like??? of course hes not going to be a warm person helping you out of the kindness of his heart, he (presumably) got enslaved and most people who meet him are racist as fuck like???? what do people expect

also ironic the amount of people wanting darker/morally grey characters and moaning theyre not all Good or simping over TB 24/7

Started this awhile ago when the Tangled event came out bc for awhile now I’ve thought that Deuce was probably some kind of wasian but didn’t know which then that card came out and I got smacked across the face by Deuce looking like he’s straight out of one of those Chinese cultivation anime’s/books and thought ah okay

Anyways all that’s to say, I started making these headcanons because I feel very strongly about wasian British/Chinese Deuce and figured that I should do the rest of Heartslabyul, then ran out of things to say, forgot about it, and only finished it today

just finished playing AAI1 and maybe Im just very easy to please but I dont quite get why Ive seen people say it isnt good?

I found it to be a very fun change of pace from the main games. I really enjoyed how every case felt really relevant and fit together very well to create a whole picture.

I was very excited to spend so much time with franziska, one of my very favorite characters from the franchise! I especially loved the case where her and edgeworth were younger. there were so many good sibling moments in that one.

I liked having edgeworths pov. I like that he is such a dork. I will admit that Logic is not the most interesting mechanic tho. sometimes I would find it frustrating bc I have the 3rd conclusion in my head so Im trying to put thoughts together too early. but thats a normal ace attorney thing thats not dissimilar to trying to present evidence in the wrong order.

I enjoyed the new characters, especially Kay and Lang. I really like both of their relationships and interactions with edgeworth. I felt so protective of kay and really wanted to watch her succeed. I enjoy that lang is somehow extremely cool and extremely cringe simultaneously. but tbh the coolest people arent afraid to be a bit cringe I think.

oh I also really liked detective badd. I enjoyed the one animation where he takes the lollipop out of his mouth like its a cig

id start off from batman #408 (1987) to batman #429 (1989), that’s where jason first appears, his robin time and up to the death in the family arc (#426-429). so like the very crucial readings. special shoutout to #416. it was dick bruce jason heavy and i like it (i wrote a paragraph for this but i elected to erase it because i wrote down a shit ton of spoilers lol)

new titans #55 is a good one. there’s no jason there because he’s like dead but dick finds out about his death in that one and i am profoundly fond of dick and his older sibling guilt 😼 so including it here

if you want more robin!jason detective comics #569-581. he is so tiny and “robin is magic” in this one and its very endearing and i love love love it so much. like literally my son

red hood the lost days (2010) expands more on jason coming back & becoming red hood. bit eh in my opinion like definitely ignore the talia panels in the last issue lmaooo because why was that necessary bro but it does a pretty decent job showing jasons transition from robin to red hood

also check out teen titans volume 3 #29, jason and tim bonding time (he uhhhhh breaks into the teen titans tower and beats tim up. but pop off king because i liked the characterisation for both)

thinking about a slightly alternate version of my murderpollo au (au-ception?) where instead of Apollo losing sanity points until he goes off the rails, Clay's vengeful spirit like.... possesses him on a sort of quest for vengeance

(To be clear, Clay isn't evil- but I like the idea that a violent/tragic death + unfulfilled goals automatically generates an aggressive spirit. i use it with ocs semi frequently)

The visuals of it, of Apollo's red being drowned out by a dark blue space motif, plus the concept of literally fighting the object of one's grief, and the potential for another dramatic exorcism... love it all.

also just. the idea of Apollo being fully aware but unable to do anything when killing Athena. that'd be goddamn devastating.
