Sleepover - Joesara (could also be interpreted as ryojoesara)

this had been a bad idea. sara realised that halfway through the first saw movie, but by then the damage was done. joe was shaking, screaming and jumping into sara’s arms at every gory scene. sara had offered to turn it off so many times but she knew how much ryouko had been looking forward to this, and joe was determined to watch the whole movie before they switched to his favourite animated movies.

by the time the film had finished, joe was trembling in sara’s arms and hiding his face in her shoulder. “y-you don’t ever think we’d be put in such a horrible game, do ya sara?” he whimpered.

“course not, no one does that in real life!” ryouko giggled. despite joe’s loud reactions, she seemed to have had fun watching the movie. “and if they did, what would they want with a couple’a high schoolers?” she ruffled joe’s hair affectionately.

“aaaa!! ryo’s being smart!!!! she must be possessed, save me joe!!! this is scary!!!!!!” sara jokingly hid her face behind joe, still holding him protectively from the movie.

“hey!” ryouko playfully hit sara with a cushion and soon an all-out pillow war had broken out between the three of them. it ended with ryouko and joe teaming up to ferociously batter sara with the soft pillows into her surrender, just as there was a knock on the door, making joe screech like a banshee and jump into sara’s arms again. the door opened to reveal simply kai, holding a tray of snacks and drinks.

“woah, triple chocolate chip?! sara, your dad is awesome!” ryouko grinned, looking at the plate of various cookies as she and joe restrained themselves from wolfing the whole batch down.

“kai’s not really my dad” sara shrugged, taking a sugar cookie and licking off the icing before munching on the biscuit part.

no one took note of the comment - they were soon too busy stuffing their faces with the bounty of treats to care about much.

“that man is a food genius” joe sighed contentedly, lying on sara’s bed and using her thighs as a pillow.

“hell yeah, we should have more sleepovers at yours sara!” ryouko curled herself up at sara’s side like a cat while she spoke.

sara looked at the blank television screen to avoid eye contact, hoping she could hide how flustered and happy she was that her friends liked her home. “w-we should put another fil-“ she started.

“please nothing scary!” joe cried out quickly, and the two girls chuckled.

“alright scaredy-cat, what do you wanna watch?” she asked, playing with joe’s hair as she spoke.

“shrek!” joe and ryouko spoke at the same time, then high fived each other.

“i should’ve guessed” sara smiled and put the movie on.

many movies and games and snack breaks later, after ryouko had fallen asleep and sara was about to join her, joe shyly tapped sara’s shoulder. “hey- uh, sara? are you sleeping?”

“no, what’s wrong?”

joe hesitated. “i’m scared” he mumbled. “i keep thinking about that movie and i’m scared that i’m going to have nightmares”

sara couldn’t help but smile at joe and pull him closer to her. “cmere scaredy-cat, i’ll protect you” she whispered, gently stroking joe’s hair as he snuggled up to her and hid his head in her shoulder and asked,

“can you sing me a lullaby?”

sara laughed, covering her mouth to keep quiet. “alright then,” she smiled and went to start singing before joe interrupted her,

“no no! i didn’t mean it!” he giggled and soon they were both struggling to hide their laughing fit from their sleeping friend, curled up into sara’s side. once they were quiet again, joe sighed happily and snuggled up to sara.

it was cliché and silly but sara’s arms felt like the safest place in the world to joe. that was his last thought as he and sara fell asleep together, tangled in each other’s embrace.

-He fell for you first. You both spent the day hanging out inside and watching movies, overall a pretty relaxed day. However you both ended up getting snowed in. He helped you shovel your driveway once you could finally leave the house. That's when he realized how hard he's fallen for you. -Whenever he has spare money after rent, he always tries to do something for you, whether it be a date or buying you something that you have been eying recently. One of his love languages is gift giving. -Speaking love languages.. I think his other love language is quality time. He loves spending time with you and listening to you talk about your day. He enjoys late night drives with you in his semi dinged up car. It's pretty small but gets him around. -He gets flustered with physical affection however is never opposed to it. He just does not know how to react. It may take him a bit, but he will soon initiate it as much as you do. He also struggles with putting his feelings into words. Now if you tell him these things, he becomes a mess. He's always appreciative and wonders how he got so lucky to have you in his life. -When it's autumn/windy or even slightly cold he definitely lends you his scarf! He doesn't want you to be cold, plus he quite enjoys the cool wind. -He gets flustered easily, he tries to hide it but usually fails.Typically with physical contact. If you try to hug him he will pause and his eyes get a bit wide but will reciprocate. With cuddling he's usually stiff at first but then loosens up. A = Attractive what do they find attractive about the other?

He’d find your intellect attractive.

B = Baby do they want a family? why/why not?

Probably not since he struggles to support himself.

C = Cuddle how do they cuddle? There are two types of cuddles. Type one is when you initiate it, hes usually stiff at first however will adjust in 5 minutes or so. Type two is after he gets back from work and clings onto you like an absolute child.

D = Dates what are dates with them like? Hes one for movie nights and random road trips?? Also late night drives.

E = Everything you are my ____ (e.g my life, my world…) You are my motivation.

F = Feelings when did they know they were falling in love? When you told him that hes doing the best he can. (This was months into your friendship with him.)

G = Gentle are they gentle? If so, how?

Yes he is, would never want to hurt you.

R = Rainy Day what do they like to do on a rainy day? Stay in a watch a show or movie with you, also cuddles!

S = Sad how do they cheer themselves/each other up Immediately when he is sad he goes to you for affection, hes all over you. Very clingy and cuddly. When you're sad on the other hand he does whatever he can, will listen to you vent and try to give you advice (only if you ask!). Will give you space if you need it, or if you want to cuddle then hes fine with that too. Tries his best to keep your mind off things and make you happy since you mean the world to him <3.

T = Talking what do they love to talk about? He asks about your day a lot, will also show you random memes that make no sense but are somehow funny. If you ask him how work was he will usually say it was pretty boring (on the inside hes got butterflies because you care for him so much).
