When I say favorite, I don't mean the best. I mean whichever vibes and gives the brainrot. For example, while I'm partial to original YGO I voted for GX because I like some of the tropes, plot beats, and especially the characters better even though YGO's plot overall was more solid and better executed without being so blantly rushed in parts.

(Also before anyone asks, I didn't add Go Rush!! as an option because a. It's still on-going and thus not fair to judge it in its entirety yet and b. I don't consider it different enough from Sevens to be a completely different series. Season 0 and Zexal 2 didn't get individual choices for the same reason.)

Decided to do something for #archetypes abundant, gonna post my favorite archetype of every type! I have a lot of free time today so I'm hoping to get through 2 or 3, to all my non-ygo followers, maybe block the tags now lol.

First up is spellcasters, and my favorite "for fun" deck I currently play, Endymion! This archetype, and the broader Spell Counter strategy, is based on building magical power, concentrating it into a few key cards, and then blasting your opponent away! Cards like Alchemist of Black Spells, Endymion the Magical City, and Spell Power Grasp help to generate spell counters while cards like Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic and Arcanite Magician use those counters to fuel powerful effects!

True to the name of Spellcasters, this deck uses spells extensively, and it really makes you feel like a powerful wizard, managing your mana dominating the battlefield while safe behind your minions. It's also a great introduction to pendulum cards, showcasing how they have both spell and monster effects while not having immediate impact so it's not too overwhelming!

Anyway, that's Endymion, my favorite spellcaster archetype! Next is Dragons, and Galaxy Eyes!

The rule is this: no powers. Yugi’s cards have no special powers, and Light has the Death Note, but it doesn’t do anything. So they can hit each other with their objects, but Yugi can’t just blow everything up with Exodia, and Light can’t just write his name.

Alternatively, Light just doesn’t have any writing materials.

I didn't read it but it's something about homophobia and racism and misogyny if you like or dislike the ship, i'm not sure which one.

Katara/Aang (Avatar The Last Airbender) 58 comments - 65 reblogs - 796 words.

The arguing actually happened on the Katara/Zuko poll, but it was about this ship. Mostly Zutara shippers complaining about Kataang shippers but i saw maybe 2 kataang shippers in the comments. I repeat: Kataang is on here because it was incredibly controversial on my blog

Laios/Toshiro (Dungeon Meshi) A few comments and reblogs, 228 words out of what I can count + someones 644 word post that was linked to me.

The reason for this is because I jokingly used the tag "shuro has the worst case of allistic disease i've ever seen", because the way he exploded at Laios reminded me of the experiences i've had with allistic people who secretly hate me but never told me. This means I hate asian people and think only white men can be autistic.

I haven't watched Invader Zim, but I allowed it on the premise that Zim is seen as a child (because I don't like adult/child ships obv). But Zim's age is a big debate.

Yugi Mutou/Yami Yugi (Yu-Gi-Oh) Many reblogs saying the same thing about me

I haven't watched the anime. I saw the same guy twice with the same name and tagged it as "selfcest" incase someone had the tag filtered. This singular tag caused multiple comments and reblogs telling me that it's not selfcest and that it's offensive to DID systems to call it selfcest. I almost snapped here, honestly.

I'll say I fall in the first category since I was watching the dubbed anime from whenever it first started airing on KidsWB. I didn't even know it was anime, although I recognized the style was "similar" and asked my older sister why InuYasha was considered anime but Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! weren't :) I was a smart kid.
