Sayonara to the past and hola to the present

I seem to have made an another oc, this one based on Sayori who I used to kin and still do. Also keep your eye out because I might make a little story with him.

but enough talking, let me introduce to you-

Like stated before he’s based off of Sayori from ddlc and cows (although you can’t really see it because spots wouldn’t really fit into its design). He is a Doberman cow mix who may or may not used to be an experiment that escaped with two other others (one of them I’m planning a Sona design too and the other being probably one of my first design I got from somebody else for art). Sadly, this poor boy doesn’t have too much confidence in himself and tends to be his number one hater, but he is kind hearted and truly means well!

Designs notes

Kind of decided to give him more ‘outside’ with his color palette, I tend to use the same color shades when making characters w/ making the base color lighter or dark. More recently I’ve been deciding to warm palettes and use complementary colors.

I kinda of made his design look like a lupisvupes (WHO I DONT SUPPORT!!!) design and wanted him to look good if people decide to draw him and they have that style choice.

that’s all for him! I might come back to YouTube this Tuesday because I do have a YouTube channel and I don’t want to neglect that again. I’ll post again either way a request or the other design!

get an invidious account. it is an alternative front-end to youtube, allowing you to make an account, subscribe to channels, make playlists, and all the other things you use youtube for; all without giving the company a single cent. swearing off youtube long-term is a tall ask, so you can use this to still follow the creators you want to keep up with while continuing the youtube boycott. it has a built-in adblock and anti-tracker, meaning that you can really keep fucking them over.

it doesnt interact with the API at all, it scrapes the metadata to make sure they get as little as possible.

As much as I love the wave of clippy profile photo activism I can’t see that as more than a stunt. We need physical protest in a way that companies cannot ignore by turning off the phone or filtering it out. We need people peacefully chanting outside the headquarters and showing signs. We need crowded exits and news coverage. It starts with one company asking for verification and it turns into every company and country asking for verification so they can censor and judge your content. If nobody gets their foot in the door to change the precedent this sets then we wil only make it harder to live. Censorship directly targets minority groups and makes their lives living hell. We do not need this!

I’m not trying to organize something and do not mark this post as me doing so but to anyone credible who wants to use this as a jumping off point for organizing a protest please do!

Work on any project you have but keep procrastinating on: Yes, this is targeted. AT ME-

Since lots of people, including myself, are participating in the YouTube Boycott, I want to provide a list of things you can do besides watching YouTube.

-Go Outside, I'm dead serious. Take a walk, go for a run, or meet up with old pals in your town or proximity. Just do something while outside that keeps you away from the phone.

-Clean your room/house! Been unable to do chores recently? Use the time you would have been using to watch YouTube and clean your stuff up. Do some dusting, maybe vacuum your room. Do some sweeping and mopping. You'll be surprised how calming cleaning can be and you'll feel better since your place will be a lot cleaner than it was before.

-Watch a streaming service, if you have one. Catch up on some shows you have been meaning to watch but haven't had the time to do so.

-Listen to some music! Music apps and the Radio can have some good tunes on them. Maybe try a new genre of music. Might find something you like!

-Read a book, try reading something new, or read a favorite of yours. Or, if you read it, read some works on AO3, Wattpad, or fanfiction.net.

-Draw! You don't have to be an artist, just pick up a pen or pencil and draw what you feel like drawing. Or you can color in a coloring book, if you got one near you.

-Watch a DVD movie. Got a DVD player? Pick up a DVD of a movie you love and play it! It can be something new or a classic from your childhood.

-Take a nap! Rather than watch videos while lying in bed, actually use the bed for sleep purposes. Get some needed rest that you might be missing out on.

-Play a video game! Not finished with a story in a game because you have been busy? Start playing again and keep going in the story. Playing Minecraft? Build something new or go explore your world! Wanna just play some online games? Go ahead and play it!

There are more things I could add to this list but this is just some stuff you can start doing today that are not only good for temporary activities but also for more long-term stuff, in case you decide to boycott for more than a day. These are also just good and healthy things you can do for yourself besides being good distractions from watching YouTube.

The very idea of rolling out an AI Monitoring system for YouTube is a terrible idea. For letting an AI figure out Who's older than 18 and who isn't will be confusing, and I can guarantee

you with 100% certainty that a Majority

of people in their 20s, 30s, and even 40s, will be incorrectly profiled as

17 or younger.

AI has a Bias and letting it decide who's 18 or older is a massively injudicious and fatuous idea. It will

target older men & women who are still

into these hobbies.

Also this system goes heavily against California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Which has the following:

* Right to Correct Inaccurate Personal Information

* Right to Know/Access

* Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Data

You're a smart man, I'm sure you've had Internet Safety when you were Younger? I did, and one of the many

rules of Internet Safety is that you

never give out your ID online.

So please, I ask you not only as someone who makes content on your platform, but as someone who genuinely believes that YouTube is meant for "You".

and by "You" I mean "Us", the creators on the platform, the people who make this

website even a twinkle in someone's eye.

[If you're not a YouTuber, talk about how

YouTube is the last bastion of creator content where it's not Cable TV, and fuled by passionate artists & creators who actually care about the content they make.]

I Urge you not on my behalf, but on the Entirety of the platform who make it special, and even profitable. Repeal the implementation of the AI Monitoring system.

It's a bad idea, it will cost YouTube millions in revenue loss, and it'll turn away even the most loyal of users.

Instead you should consider this less invasive method.

* If the Account is more than 10 years old, you can assume the user is over 18. Due to how age works, and the fact you need to be 13 in order to make a YouTube Account.

* If something has ever been Bought on the platform,

you can confirm with a Payment Processor, since you need to be 18 to have a Credit/Debit card.

* If They're a part of the YouTube Partnership Program,

they're automatically considered 18 years or older. Since you need to be 18 to be part of the program.

Here is a link for another post detailing a boycott plan on the 13th of August. And if you think that it's not gonna be that bad...

IT WILL AFFECT YOU, TOO.

If you watch:

Gameplays and gaming-related videos, for example Minecraft, Undertale/Deltarune, The Sims 4, GTA/Minecraft roleplaying videos, mod videos (even if the mod is 18+), Genshin Impact and other gachas, horror games no matter the rating

Unboxing of Pokémon/Magic The Gathering/any other type of playing cards

Table Top Games, including watching TTRPG campaigns

Slime tutorials, probably (yeah, both kinds)

Essays/Commentary/Theories about IP for children, like cartoons/anime - Gravity Falls, Winx Club, Monster High, Pokémon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, My Little Pony, Miraculous Ladybug, Spongebob Squarepants, and the like

Anything about Doll Customizing, including ball-jointed dolls, Blythe dolls, OOAK projects, and anything similar

Cosplay videos, probably

Videos about collectibles like Labubu, Funko Pop, plushies, and similar

Videos and YT podcasts about Anime, like Trash Taste and Mother's Basement

VTubing, most likely, given the nature of animated avatars

And maybe, Draw With Me/Art tutorials of all kinds

There is a chance that the AI will target your account, EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT FROM THE USA, and flag it as an underage account because of your watching habits. Therefore, requiring you to provide your identification or photo to YouTube in order to continue using their services normally and not have your account deleted.

And here is the kicker: IF YOU DON'T and continue to use the service disregarding your account's newly found underage classification, THEY WILL CONTROL WHAT YOU CAN WATCH EVEN MORE. They are banking on you being too tired to fight this, and just accepting it as the new normal.

This is a blatant ploy to monitor the people and gather massive amounts of data to sell to governments, plural. If it works without too much of a hiccup in the US (and in the UK as well, since over there it's affecting every online service), other countries will follow suit.

If you are in the US, you have to fight this.

They've already come for Steam and Itch as a way of controlling self-expression and speech. This is yet another tool of censorship. And it WILL affect all of us, globally, eventually, because the internet serves a lot more people than the US and the UK, and the rules are applied mostly equally.

Share the boycott plan. Tell your friends and family about it. It will affect them, too.
