Babies first AU creation- lmao. Art Dump and further info below the cut. I'm working out a plot and having to decide a medium for storytelling.

— Info on AU — ⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘ I’m going to be a lil redundant here, stating info already in the images a bit. Just in case its illegible or someone uses a screen reader or something. RedWing is Tim’s alt mantle he keeps hidden from the Batfamily for when he needs to get shit done without it being tied back to the Bats. It being used so he can have a cleanish way to establish connections and make it so Bruce can’t trace back things done in that costume to him. With less body armor than his BlackBird suit- when he first debuted as ReWi, it was largely received as a woman, very hesitantly because it was quite hard to tell. Which was a little annoying for Tim- as he is a trans man. But, getting over himself he decides to lean into the femininity more- his movements becoming more flamboyant and using special armor in specific locations to accentuate the femininity a little. Using that to throw the Bats off further if they were to ever suspect him- as who would expect a dysphoric trans man to go out as a woman. (A side-note/sub plot i have in mind is Tim’s slow realization he doesn’t really mind being perceived as a woman if he is the one that has say. Like if he decide to present as a woman- and therefore is referred to as such, it doesn’t make him dysphoric. Yada yada- Thinking he was wrong about being trans, especially since this isn’t the typical way people would describe gender fluidity- etc etc. Love that I have a sub-plot before a main plot, good for me. good for me.) —Art Notes— ⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘ The drawings with the Gargoyles are heavily referenced from official DC art- at least for the backgrounds. —What’s going on with this AU/What's the direction? — ⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘ As of RN, no idea. But i want it to go somewhere, I am proficient in writing so this can go down the route of fanfic- with supplemental comics alongside it either scenes from the fic or just spoofs. I could do comics as a form of storytelling but that is incredibly ambitious. Either way, ill most likely take breaks throughout the creation of this. ofc.

I spent a good long while working on typing up all my reasoning, if ya do read even a bit of this I'd be flattered. ⁱ ⁿᵉᵉᵈ ᵗᵒ ᵖʳᵉᶠᵃᶜᵉ ᵗʰⁱˢ ᵗʰᵃᵗ ⁱ ʰᵃᵛᵉⁿ'ᵗ ʳᵉᵃᵈ ᵐᵃⁿʸ ᶜᵒᵐⁱᶜˢ ᵃⁿᵈ ʰᵃᵛᵉ ᵍᵃᵗʰᵉʳᵉᵈ ᵃˡᵒᵗ ᵒᶠ ⁱⁿᶠᵒ ˢᵉᶜᵒⁿᵈ ʰᵃⁿᵈ ᶠʳᵒᵐ ᶜᵒᵐⁱᶜ ʳᵉᵃᵈᵉʳˢ, ᵃⁿᵈ ᵐʸ ᵒʷⁿ ⁱⁿᵗᵉʳᵖʳᵉᵗᵃᵗⁱᵒⁿˢ ᵒᶠ ˢᵗᵘᶠᶠ ᵗʰᵃᵗ ʰᵃˢ ʰᵃᵖᵖᵉⁿᵉᵈ. ᵈᵒⁿ'ᵗ ᵗᵃᵏᵉ ᵉᵛᵉʳʸᵗʰⁱⁿᵍ ⁱ ˢᵃʸ ᵃˢ ᵍᵒˢᵖᵉˡ ᵗʰᵃᵗ ⁱˢ ᵃᶜᵗᵘᵃˡˡʸ ᵗʰᵉ ʷᵒʳˢᵗ ⁱᵈᵉᵃ ˡᵐᵃᵒ 𖹭.ᐟ Wing Choices! Since they are deliberate! - Tim has Great Blue Heron wings, I chose a waterfowl mainly because of his last name. But Great Blue Herons symbolize Transformation/Adaptability, and Self-Reliance/Independence. However, one of the wings are broken, because the symbolism is not a complete fit- and contrasts him greatly after Kon's death. The contrast being Stillness/Calm and Balance/Harmony. Throwing himself completely into his work- without caring what happens to him as well as the whole cloning attempts thing. He- was the opposite of Still/Calm with his mental state, and I don't think he achieves Balance/Harmony much ever. Not to mention Great Blue Herons are nimble/precise hunters- striking quickly and efficiently. - Kon has Pigeon wings, I have decided that a good while ago as well- so there is a bit more meat to be had here in the explanation. Starting with symbolism- pigeons represent Loyalty/Love, Mercy/Forgiveness, and Freedom. Kon is loyal to his friends, and I see him giving all of himself for people he loves. Mercy and Forgiveness, since he has done wrong- and been wronged. Both seeking and giving Mercy/Forgiveness. Freedom, as a concept and loosely is something I see him striving for- Freedom from expectations of his family, freedom from negative presumptions both from others and himself from the way he was made and who is from. In this piece, Freedom being found in his death- a bittersweet departure. Pigeons having been removed from their native area and relocated elsewhere for use is a commonly known thing. As the times pass, they fell out of use, fell by the wayside. They are now viewed as pests when they had been brought here by us in the first place. Learning to adapt to their new surroundings- they made themselves a part of North American cities. This, ties to Kon not precisely of course but loosely. Kon wasn't necessarily removed from his native place and put where he didn't belong- he himself was made in such a way that he just simply doesn't belong. When no longer working under Luthor not really having a place to call home no real family, since Clark (understandably) couldn't stand to look at him. Most likely finding himself bothersome and a pest- and in some cases that being the case. But he eventually adapted and made himself a home, whether at the Kent's farm or in Young Justice- he managed to adapt to these unfair circumstances. 𖹭.ᐟ Lyrics "One day I am going to grow wings" - By Kon, purposefully- because using this in a way that is death. Like an angel getting its wings. Maybe before this scene maybe saying it in passing, or the other sentiment for it. The other sentiment being the want/hope to get better, to do something. To strike it out on his own and not live in the shadow of Clark or Luthor. "A chemical reaction" - Purposefully put in the middle as it is for both. A chemical reaction being tied to both the crush/infatuation they very well might have had before Kon was killed. Or just in general the care and companionship they found in each other as friends. But also- A chemical reaction being turned to the way Tim is affected by the grief of losing Kon (as well as so many others in that timeframe).

𖹭.ᐟ Color Choices/Small Details - I looked at the comic panel where Kon dies to get a good bit of the shrapnel placement >;3c - This can be ignored if you don't fuck with Joker Jr. (it's subtle for a reason) but there is a semi visible Glasgow Scar on Tim's face, as well as some electrocution scarring (If the shading didn't completely cover it up tbf) - Kon going towards the light is, I don't think I need to explain that. But Tim being surrounded by dark because he has lost so much already- and grief will consume his actions. - The Green around Tim is damn close to the green that was in the cloning tubes from the scene(s) where we found out he was trying to clone Kon 99 times. Not explanation but just Artist blabbing 𖹭.ᐟ Thankyou TikTok for making the choir version of this song trend and give me this idea, You a real one. 𖹭.ᐟ Approx 8hrs of work 𖹭.ᐟ I was actually only going to do Tim but then the Gay demons won. I was able to justify it better since I was able to separate them both. Both getting their own standalone piece when the other is removed- since my original intention wasn't going to be TimKon. I didn't use a pose ref for this because I knew it would take way too long to find exactly what I wanted. (You can see me try and give up in the timelapse tho) 𖹭.ᐟ I don't usually do backgrounds but this was a fun experiment >:D

I've never had this much interaction with my art online- It is incredibly new to me and so I went to compile my favorite/funny sentiments left on my Jason angst art LMAO

Tumblr is such a nice- unique platform that encourages so much interaction with fandom artists/writers. I never really, considered it would be like that for me but I'm so happy. Thank ya' for all the hype I'm so touched. I'm looking forward to posting more :)

Since my Jason angst art has hit 1k notes (I'm so pleased with that, it makes me so happy) Here's a slightly older drawing. This one being me figuring out how I'd draw Jason and getting his design(?) situated for me. This was my first time drawing him digitally :) I'm probably going to make some nice fluffy art of Jaybin to make up for the big ouchies of the angst art. That was my original plan anyways b/c the Angsty art of Jason & Jaybin rly made me sad as well HAHA

Hey babes, here's my mutated Tim Drake- I put a lot of thought and effort into why I put most of the mutations. Berry (@vryberry) | TikTok - Here is the Timelapse because I think it's fun to watch. The reasons behind mutation choices are in the keep reading.

This was going to be for an AU RP server that was deleted, and since it's not my AU I have to adjust a good bit. This entire design was centered around said AU so I'm on the struggle bus. In short, every character was heavily effected/mutated so please don't get the impression I'm just one of those Tim fans that beat him to a pulp and woobify him (although I personally don't care when ppl do it that much). I know he's strong and capable- it's just this was a heavily angst centric RP and so that showed in a lot of this stuff. I don't know how to go about him having been mutated without that AU in mind but there will be a reason eventually- just gotta build it from the ground up. Vestigial robin wings, bat ears/general blindness, and extended mouth symbolic of his JJ scars ppl often portray him with (me included c;) The Vestigial robin wings symbolic of his inability to let go of the Robin mantle- even when he was Red Robin- Robin was in the name still. They are vestigial and therefore useless because it keeps him tied down- from moving on or 'flying away'. The wings going limp occasionally, or even cramping they are a source of ache for him. Not to mention the feathers constantly growing and subsequently falling from being plucked or general stress. The extended mouth is because of the JJ arc lol- it's fun to throw in. General blindness/Bat ears- he can sense light and that's about it with his eyes, usually having to resort to echolocation. His capabilities to fight while blind in the comics not going unnoticed by me- but also adding bat features is so fun. ETC. Mutations/effects- He has the ability to mimic voices now- it isn't perfect and typically he doesn't do it on purpose. It is distorted and falls deeply into the uncanny valley for those who hear it. His mental state is fogged/broken- slipping in and out of both more traditional flashbacks and his brain actually resetting to a point in the past. What I mean by that is he is convinced he is in that time period of his life- the blindness making it really hard for him to come out of these spells of disorientation. Some examples of time periods he can be set back to- Any of the death's of his friends/family. Take a pick. When he was on a manhunt to get Bruce out of the timestream. Directly after the JJ arc. etc. ^^The mental state + The flashbacks = when he is having a particularly acute flashback he screams/speaks in the tone of the people around him or himself at the time. Reciting the memories vividly.

I did a study of a panel from the first absolute flash comic, trying to replicate it n stuff. Had a lot of fun and there's a good chance ill either do more studies or just draw Absolute Wally- because I'm so excited for this run. I have so much hope in my heart.

'The familiar feelings of betrayal and fear. Some things never change.' - full title of the piece. I think its a little sad that the most important part to his character is his death. To be known mainly for having died is an interesting- kind of unique way a character can exist (atleast in comics) imo

Some subtle details i included are like, uh… The lineart for Jason is red, the color of anger. Facing betrayal once again from a parental figure mounting fury. The color of the lineart of Jaybin is- well it’s brown but it’s yellow hued. Yellow, the color of fear. He was so young, yes he was probably angry but he was scared. Both of them are angry and scared for sure. But some more than the other :3 I also chose red for the lighting of Jason cuz redhood- betrayal, etc I fear the green for Jaybin is a lil obvious. Not only it being joker but the eventual lazarus pit. bruised and bloodied knuckles on Jaybin. He fought (idk exactly how it went in the comics but don’t touch me.) maybe punched at the door or smthin trying to get out. tried to include the outfits from the comics they were in, Jaybin is missing his gloves because i fucking FORGOT but i liked his hands too much anyways.. I wasn’t going to put the gun in at first but after glancing at the panel for a bit i was like ‘eh sure. why not.’ since Jason had a gun beside him as he collapsed. Oh and their eyes are basically lined up <3
