JLD prophets have been asked to prophesize the future of Robin.
It's stupid.
So a few Leaguers found out about this new Robin's slightly violent tendencies, and how he used to be barely controlled. Now they're convinced that he'll snap at any moment. Superman and Batman vouched for him, and Wonder Woman called out the hypocrisy of that paranoid fear, but the Leaguers insisted.
So, they called in JLD.
And the prophets take one look at the future, and collectively freak the fuck out.
"He is destined to awaken the High King of the Infinite Realms!" They cry out, scrambling to get away from him.
The room descends into chaos. People are shouting, arguing, asking what the hell that even means. The JLD are trying to explain over calling their loved ones and double checking every single failsafe they have in place, they themselves freaking out.
"Pariah fucking Dark!" They say, scrambling to spread the word from their phones, "The little shit's going to kill us all!"
Robin, of course, leaves the room.
These people are so stupid. This whole situation is stupid. He's going to call up the one hero who knows more about the Infinite Realms than anyone else to ask how stupid and impossible that prophecy is.
Phantom answers his call, white hair messed up and eyes half lidded, clearly having just awoken.
And from down the hall, he hears those stupid 'Prophets' start screaming again.
"It has come to pass! The High King is awake!"
Phantom freezes.
Robin feels the realization unfolding in his mind even as he glares death at the other hero.
"They assume I am going to cause the end of the world by waking you," Robin says, keeping his voice even in an attempt to sound...not nearly as angry as he is.
It doesn't work.
Phantom is now sitting up straight and looking terrified.
"Fix this," Damian hisses, leaning forward and gripping the console so hard he feels a few buttons pop off.

There is nothing more precious to me as a writer than the comments left on AO3. Whenever I get that email notification, I wonder what kind of comment was left. To have a little fun, I'm going to sort the typical comments into a few different categories and share my reactions to them as a writer.
If you feel I missed a comment type, please let me know. I'm curious to learn what other classifications you think exist (positive comment types only please - let's not make this negative). Also, if you wanted to tag yourself, I'd love you know what type of commenter you think you are.
The Polite Conversationalist - Your comment confirms that you read and enjoyed the fic or chapter. You offer praise for the author's efforts and encouragement for them to continue. - If this is you, please know that I'm imagining us holding a book club together. I brought us snacks.
The All Caps Reaction - You left the most unhinged comment. - You were screaming as you read it? I was screaming as I wrote it. Let's be friends.
The How Dare You - The angst is real. And painful. And I'm sorry but the story needed it. - This is a compliment of the highest order and I'm so glad you left it.
The Conspiracy Theorist - You are so invested that you are trying to figure out what comes next. - I'm so excited to read your ideas. They let me know the story tracks for you. And I'm either smiling because you guessed right and I'm excited for you to read what comes next, or I'm grinning because I know the plot twist is going to blow your mind.
The Catch-Up - You haven't commented in a while and are letting me know you are catching up. - I'm so glad you are back! I missed you. I know life gets busy and it means a lot to me that you took the time to read my story.
The Giggle - You laughed at my jokes and let me know. - Did we just become best friends? I'm already making you a bracelet.
The Callout - You found my favorite line in the chapter or fic. - I love you so much. You just made my day, my week, my month. Seriously, all the love for the reader. xoxo

So I was thinking
I absolutely adore both lostshipping and lavashipping
And now we have the poly of them being moltenshipping
I was wracking my head for things to connect Kai and Geo with, cause I want them to have their own lil connection outside of Cole
And one particular concept came to mind
✨Stained Glass Art✨
I feel like Geo would ask Kai for help on an art project once when it came to working with glass and that Kai began to enjoy it so he and Geo start learning how to do it together

A "Happy" Family
DP x DC Prompt inspired by Bioshock 1 and 2
The GIW had successfully captured Phantom and the one he treats as a child. What's more, they even managed to keep the Eldest Fenton child alive after the confrontation with the Fentons to retrieve Phantom and its "daughter" so they could see what had made the thing trick a human into believing it was their family.
When the GIW had examined the bodies of the Fentons and the two civilians that thought Phantom was their friend, they had found a refined form of Ectoplasm that is formed on fresh bodies and disappears after a few days. But only an ecto entity is capable of collecting the refined ectoplasm, and Phantom is too strong-willed to break under their attempts to make him collect the ectoplasm. But Phantoms daughter wasn't as strong as him, and she broke easily under their experiments and was made into a thing to collect ectoplasm. Seeing its daughter like that had broken Phantom, but the GIW had something else in mind for Phantom. Phantom and the Eldest Fenton child are going to be made into "protectors" for their newest ectoplasm gathering tool. Phantom would be turned into a "protector" that had enough strength to Rival or even surpass Superman. The Eldest Fenton child is going to become a "protector" that is Nimble and harder to hit. Both Phantom and the Eldest Fenton child had gained powers when they made them consume the refined ectoplasm (Jazz had been turned into a Halfa when the GIW had used some of that refined ectoplasm on her when they were turning her into a "protector" for Dani).
Apart from some minor "episodes" where Phantom and the Eldest Fenton child are able to resist the commands they receive and have their minds be back to before the experiments, all three of them are what the GIW want, living Drones to collect that refined ectoplasm to use in their experiments and other things. All three of them are being sent to Gotham with a few Agents to gather the refined ectoplasm, as Gotham experiences the most deaths in the world.
Clockwork looks at his favorite Halfa and laments for not noticing this path sooner. He would not have made it possible if he saw the signs. He can not interfere any further unless the timeline destabilizes. He just hopes that Lady Gotham and her Knights will be able to get Danny, his sister, and his daughter back to their old selves.

so i had some thoughts about death note [spoilers]
my friend and i were talking about the weird dynamic that L and light have throughout the series and i found this whole thought process really interesting so i thought id post it on here.
so i am a proud light yagami hater. i cheered for his death and hated his guts throughout the whole show, but at the same time i found the game of cat and mouse he played with L to be quite endearing. if light wasnt such an insufferable character i could even get behind the idea that he and L had some chemistry, but regardless, the relationship they had up until L’s death was quite fascinating to me.
for example, when L died and near took his place, light almost lost interest in hiding his actions. he absolutely avoided any incriminating evidence as much as he could with his deteriorating mental state but he didnt find the chase fun like he had when L was the one in pursuit. he went off the rails because he stopped feeling the thrill of the chase when near came along and started figuring him out immediately.
he also thought about L constantly after his death, constantly comparing near to his predecessor and referring to L as a “worthy rival” whereas he saw near as unworthy, despite him being far more efficient than L in terms of confirming kira’s identity.
some argue that L and light never hated each other and that they were friends in some twisted way, but i disagree to some extent. i absolutely believe that at first the two of them had at the very least a strong dislike for each other, but as their chase went on they almost developed a twisted fondness of each other’s mannerisms, like how light disliked near for not functioning the way L did and the way L disliked the second kira because she didnt do things the way the original kira did. they were enemies but it’s almost as if they didn’t want to have any other factors to affect their conflict.
this was also the case from L’s perspective, as when light was starting to prove himself innocent despite L’s suspicions, he became depressed because part of him wanted light to be kira. when this possibility was beginning to seem like it could be ruled out, he lost interest in the game because he didnt think he was chasing the person he wanted to pursue.
this also applies after his death. when near takes over L’s position as kira’s main rival, it’s made clear from the start that he’s not as smart as L, he’s simply the most suitable successor. despite this, he almost immediately begins to solve the case quicker than L did. i dont believe that this is because near was smarter than L, but because L was deliberately extending the chase because he was having fun. he told light that he was the first friend he’d ever had, and that he was interested in him as a person. this was the first time L had ever been so invested in any case, and he was willing to extend the chase for his own entertainment even at the expense of the lives of others.
L’s morally grey standpoint and morbid fascination with both kira and light as a person meant that despite genuinely wanting to catch kira, he humoured light in their game of chase and followed dead leads despite all signs pointing to light ever since the death of raye penber.
this combined with light’s extreme boredom and corruption from power made for a game that neither wanted to lose but also neither wanted to end.
this is such a long post but this was so fun to think about that i had to document it somewhere

Concept: The thing about Atsushi is that he is meant to fulfil the trope of the “straight man” of the series.
The straight man (not the sexuality) is the one that sets up the joke for someone else to deliver the punch line.
In the crazy world around him Atsushi is supposed to the “regular guy” reacting to all the craziness around him.
So I can’t help but wonder what Atsushi could potentially be like if this wasn’t his role in the story.
Beast Atsushi I don’t think fulfills that role in Beast. But also Beast is so tonally different to Bsd that I won’t use him as a point of comparison.
And so I conclude that this Atsushi would be incredibly unhinged.
Imagine Atsushi not being phased by anyone’s antics. That rather than balance out how bizarre everything around him is, Atsushi instead matches that energy.
Like Dazai gets stuck in an oil rig and Atsushi just carries on talking to him as usual. Maybe shakes his head if we’re being bold.
The Agency gets raided and Atsushi’s just in the back after helping everyone clean up. The damages don’t even surprise him because yeah it’s a Port Mafia raid.
Atsushi’s just fighting Akutagawa on that boat and they’re both just yelling at each other. It’s not one sided what the fuck is his deal thing I t’s just oh yeah??? Well take this!
Even Akutagawa is taken aback momentarily before getting angrier.
Honestly the more I think about this the more cursed it feels. I don’t know who this is but it sure ain’t Atsushi.

Short DPXDC Prompts #374
Danny Fenton looks exactly like Shazam. He’s now living a comfortable life, he has a normal job and is trying to get away from the superhero stuff. He’s in his mid-late 20’s and doing pretty good for himself. He has no idea why the fuck random people from the strangest places and professions greet him like they’ve met a thousand times before and call him ‘Cap’.

An Al Ghul first
DP x DC Prompt
Damian had an older half-brother that he loved. Danyal was his name, and he was the best fighter in the entire League, even better than Ra's and Talia combined. Danyal was even a brother who encouraged Damian to follow the things he wanted to do behind the backs of Talia and Ra's.
The last Damian ever saw Danyal was right before he left on a mission that may lead to a new Lazarus Pit when Damian was 8 and Danyal was 10. And right before Danyal left, he had embraced Damian and left a parting forehead kiss, saying that he'll be back soon.
Danyal had found the Lazarus Pit but had fallen in it after the ground beneath him gave away, and he didn't have enough time to react, as he was busy drawing for Damian about Goliath and other animals Damian would like.
Danyal was sent to the Infinite Realms and then put in another dimension near a place called Amity Park. He's got no time for friends or school. He needs to get back to his younger brother. Danyal uses his brain to hack into the school database and remove his name from it, effectively stopping him from ever meeting Sam and Tucker and stopping Dan from happening.
Danyal spends the next couple of years trying to find a way back to his home. And since the Fenton parents are always busy, that leaves just the "older sister" he has to deal with on distracting. He likes that she tries to get to know his culture better than the adult Fentons, as she calls him Danyal and not Danny or Danno like the adult Fentons. She even tries to learn how to make food from this world's version of where he's from.
Danyal still became a Halfa because he tried to activate the portal early, which had caused the portal to work but brought dangers he had to find off until he found the right place to go to. His Ghost Half outfit is his Assassins gear, as he was wearing it because he thought he would be going home when he activated the portal.
After Danyal bested Pariah and became the next Ghost King, he has the means to go back to the dimension he comes from. He's not going alone, as the Nasty Burger explosion happens, and only the adult Fentons and others were there, leaving Jazz without a family. Dani, known as Ellie, is also coming, it was easy to convince her because of her curiosity of how different his world might be. Vlad is gonna have to serve his time, as Danyal used his new title to put the man in Walkers prison. The man made Ellie by using his DNA to make her and for freeing Pariah, so the man will either fade away because Maddie is gone or get a new obsession to keep him going.
Danyal is now 18 and is finally back home. He just hopes that Damian is okay and not too upset that he didn't keep his promise to return.

Note
I've seen a lot of Danny being Ellie's dad but where is the Pariah Dark adopts this sassy ghost child that beat him in a duel and is now prince because why not adopt the overpowered child. Which leads to the JL fighting Danny for whatever reason and when he calls for help he calls his new dad and oh shit is that the Ghost King
Danny was with Sam and Tucker in the Ghost Zone when three seven-man squads of ghost knights found him. They had found an empty island near the portal that they had made into a makeshift training ground so he could safely practice his powers.
The most recent fights had shown him that he was only winning because of his quick thinking and adaptability that tricked his enemies, but he needed to get better if he ever wanted to prevent an incident like the ones at Axion labs from ever happening again.
He couldn't afford to create another arch-nemesis. Plus his good luck and clever mind could only get him so far if his body couldn't keep up.
He was in the middle of shooting the rays from the various drones Tucker set up when the knights landed on his island. Their metal clacking with each step they took, marching away from their skeleton winged horses.
At once, Danny flew between the ground, feeling more than seeing his friends scrambling for their weapons as he raised his fists.
"Who are you?" He demanded, watching the other squads surround them. Tucker and Sam spun around, each pressing up against his back in a makeshift triangle.
The hum of their ghost guns echoed through the air as the knights continued their marching until they had formed a circle around the three.
I don't like this. Danny thought felt his own ecto-ray heating up in his palms. They look oddly familiar. Where have I seen those armors?
The knights all, simultaneously, dropped to one knee, surprising the three teenagers. They bowed their heads, and even the winged horses followed suit,
"Prince Phantom." The one right in front of Danny said, "We have come as your formal escort to your Father's keep. He demands your presence."
"My Dad?" Danny repeats, voiced, laced with doubt. , "My Dad sent ghosts to escort me home? Do I look stupid to you?"
"It is not your sire, Jack Fenton, I speak of," The Knight explains, voice still respectful even when staring at the ground. Danny can't see his eyes or any of the other knights, as they are hidden in the shadows of their helmets. "I speak of the Ghost King, Pariah Dark, who has chosen you are his Heir. You are summoned to complete the adoption process."
"Yeah, that's going to be a no from me." Danny deadpans, even if his insides have turned to ice. Pariah Dark was resealed, Danny personally made sure of that, so why was this guy speaking as if he was back?
"Apologies, my Prince, but you do not have a choice," declares the other, and almost as if that was a cue of some kind, the other knights rise from their knees. They descend on the trio faster than Danny was expecting.
He ducks and waves as three different fists fly to his face, reaching down to aim an uppercut at the one on his right. It lands with a clack and a sting in his knuckles as the helmets odd shape as some protection to the chin
Shaking out his hand, Danny is not prepared for the kick to his side that sends him flying.
He lands in a heap but is quick to get back to his feet as rope is lassoed around one of his wrists. He gapes at it as another knight, quickly throws on to his other arms and suddenly he's being tugged in two different directions.
Summoning his ice, Danny has it travel down the ropes towards the knights, who drop it just as the ice would have encased their hands. Freed, Danny, leaps back as a flying kick paces mere inches from his face and has to quickly raise his hands to block an ecto-ray to the chest.
"Do not harm the Prince!" The leader barks "Capture the humans, he will go willingly if we have hostages!"
Danny swings his head towards Sam and Tucker, who have been forced up against a wall, shooting desperately at the advancing knights. Their shots are being knocked away by flowing swords, and it was obvious their movements were slowing down.
Despite the many fights they have helped in a fight, neither Sam or Tucker could outlast a ghost. Their stamina was superior, and sadly, it seemed these particular ghosts also had training under their belts.
"No!" Danny moved to help but just as he turned his eyes away from the Knight Leader, a bubble of ectoplasm exploded in his face.
"I told you not to harm the Prince!" Someone roars over the sound of ringing in his ears. Hands fell on all his limbs holding him down, even if he weakly tried to shake them off. Everything is spinning, though, and his vision is blurring in and out of focus. He sees Sam fall to the ground with Tucker screaming something he can't make out before Danny is left up and dragged away.
There is a weight around his wrists and ankles, indicating he's been tied up, but Danny can barely keep his head from bobbing to the side. He had no energy to attempt to break his bonds.
He knew no more as he was thrown into a carriage, the block dots in his vision taking over completely.
Three years later, Danny is overlooking the development of a ghost colony in a far-off corner of King Pariah's empire. This colony was made entirely of former slaves whom Danny fought his adoptive father tooth and nail to free.
Pariah moods were odd. He controlled everything Danny did, but he also wanted Danny to take his own stances on how the empire should be run. The Ghost King's control had expanded to nearly all corners of the Ghost Zone, breaking and tearing apart any resistance they found.
War had broken out as ghosts from various tribes and kingdoms fought desperately to keep their freedom. Pariah saw no challenge in their attempts, crushing anyone that stood in his way.
His aim was to once again rule all over the dead, and later, once every ghost bowed to his whim, invade the living world again but this time there would be no Halfa child to stop him.
Said Halfa that was now heir of the tyrant. Everyone knew about the kidnapped Prince, as his tale was told in resistance meetings both in pity and in rage.
Prince Phantom's iconic white hair and green eyes were just as widely known as his golden collar was. It was created by King Pariah, to keep the prince in the area by an invisible fence he set up. Should Prince Phantom attempt to fly or walk out of those areas, the collar would turn into flaming chains, yanking the prince back. It wouldn't burn him, thankfully, but it would drag him roughly.
It didn't help that the collar stopped Prince Phantom from accessing his powers. It was almost like he was a full human, except he was trapped in his ghost form and in the Ghost Zone, which meant his options were far more limited than normal.
He was more of a royal hostage than an actual heir.
Even out here, while overlooking reports and listening to testimonies, Prince Phantom could not leave the tower of the newest colony. At all times there was two guards that followed him and limited his movements too.
Despite his position, the Prince did everything he could to protect the people, tales of him jumping to a servant's defense against his father, advocating for the abolishment of slavery, and even offering to serve any punishment for any ghost child. The people loved their prince, and all wanted to one day see him free as well.
Rumors had it that the leaders of the main resistance were two humans who were desperately trying to free Prince Phantom, but since everyone in the rebellion's army's identity remained secret, no one knew how true those rumors were.
Danny unrolls a scroll, sighing at the numbers. "If nothing is done about the harvest, the people will starve come winter. We need to start rationing. Take whatever you need from my own supplies before we start applying it to the people."
"My Prince, we couldn't possibly ask that of you. Already, you granted us freedom and a home. ," Started the mayor of the colony, only to stop at the sight of a large magical circle forming around the prince. Danny's eyes widened as well, feeling his collar start to glow as whatever it is attempt to yank him away.
He feels it start to crack as the magic overpowers the collar's settings. Hope flares in his heart as his guards leap to their feet. Before they can so much as come near him, the mayor throws himself at them with a roar. "Run, my Prince! I shall buy you time!"
Danny is swallowed by light before he can respond, the collar left behind to clatter against the floor. He is flung through a portal made of multiple colors, so bright and blinding he has to close his eyes and hold his hands in front of his face. He lands with a startled yelp, but his hands fling to his neck.
When all he feels is flesh, tears burn his eyes sight as he sobs. He's free. He's finally free.
"Well, this isn't what I was expecting when I offered a piece of my soul" An accented voice hums, drawing attention to a group of oddly dressed strangers. A man in a trench coat lights a cigar, the glow casting his face in a dim light as he stares down at Danny with a detached appraisal glint in his eyes. "Tell me, why did my spell bring me a child when I asked for a champion to overthrow the Ghost King?"
Danny's ice core starts to slowly freeze the room over, his breath visible as his eyes harden. "It brought me here because I am going to kill my father."
"Prince Phantom" Trench coat man identifies with some relief. "A pleasure to finally meet you. This is the Justice League and they like to lend a hand in your parricide."

One's man trash is another man's treasure
Run
Run
Run
His little legs swing as fast as he can. Escape is all his choice left. As incompetent as he is, he is very good at escaping. However, they don't need an escaper. What they need a warrior. And he is not one.
So he run. The league wishes to kill him. His grandfather Ra's sees him nothing as a lesser being. Even his mother Talia despises him. He has no one else here. He needs to be gone while they are focusing on the newest recruit.
So he run. And run. And run. He doesn't know how long has he been running. He only stops at the end of the day to sleep for an hour and drink some water. He is not a good fighter. Mainly because he isn't capable of killing. But his physical abilities are beyond what any of peers have.
He doesn't know where he is now. All he could see is towering building that pierce the sky. People in weird clothing, walking fastly along the road. And a huge fountain.
Water!
Rushing to it, he jumps straight into the water. He could feel the gazes coming at him but the feeling of the cool water is enough for him to ignore them for now.
???: Hey, you!
He turns around at the voice and sees a girl that's a little older than him standing there with her hands and her hips. English
????: Yes, you. You can't bath there. And you can't drink from that fountain.
?????: Why?
????: Because it's dirty. And it's not good. You should take a bath at home.
?????: I don't have a home.
????: What? What about parents?
?????: My mother hates me.
????: Oh! Errrm, would you like to come with us then?
?????: *Vigilant* To where?
????: To our hotel room. My mom and dad are out searching for ghost. So you can come use our shower. We even has food.
?????: No thanks. I'm not hungry *grrrrr*
????: Well, your stomach disagree. C'mon. I will make sure you eat the best food you will ever eat.
As the girl drags his wet body and clothes away, he wonders what is wrong with this girl. He will sneak out after he finish eating and showering.
?????: I'm Danyal
????:Hey Danny, I'm Jazz.
Danny: Danyal. Not Danny.
Jazz: Wasn't that what I say?
Danny: *Gives up* Whatever.
----15 years later----
Danny: Yeah, mom. I'm right in front of Gotham U right now. Ehhh, it's okay but it gives off serious haunted vibe. No. There is no ghost here. I will deal with the ghost here if there is any. I know. I will say hi to Jazz for you. Bye, mom. Love you too dad.
Danny enters Gotham U and true to Sam's rambling, it has the 70s gothic vibe to it. Sam did try to attend here too but her parents make her go to Metropolis U while Tucker goes to Star U. It is kind of weird going to class without them but it is not something he can't do.
As he opens his enters his dormitory, a figure rushes down the hall and accidentally bumps into him. Thankfully, he is fairly strong and the impact isn't strong.
The guy apologizes and immediately disappears at the end of the hallway.
Danny: Huh, what a weirdo.
After he enters the dormitory, he settles down and goes on his day.
---Wayne Manor---
Duke: You wouldn't believe what I just see at Gotham U this morning.
Steph: What?
Duke: I met a guy that look almost identical to Damian. If Damian smiles and his skin a little lighter, that would have been him.
Tim: Are you sure? We could try to do a background check on him if you want?
Duke: Nah. It's probably just a coincidence. There is no way he is somewhat related to Dami.
Tim: Daniel James Fenton. Birth of origin: unknown. 18 years old. Male. Have 2 sisters, a brother and parents. Live in small rural town. The only significant thing about them is that his sister is working at Arkham Asylum and his parents is ghost hunters.
Duke: What the fuck?! How the fuck do you know who to find out?
Tim: *Imitating Batman's voice* I'm Batman.
Duke: Whatever. See! He really does look like Damian. I'm not crazy.
Steph: No one says you are, dude. Anyway, we should show this to Damian. Maybe he knows him?
Damian: What are you all imbeciles talking about?
Tim: Hey, Dami. Look at this guy. Does he looks familiar?
Damian: *Freezes*
Steph: Uh oh. That isn't a no.
Damian: Where do you find him, Drake? Tell me!
Tim: Woah, dude. Chill. Duke bumps into him at Gotham U. He is studying there for Aerospace engineering apparently.
Damian: I need to make a call.
As Damian walks away, all of them look at each other signifying their shared thoughts. Yeah, they are not gonna leave this alone.

Okay I was going to initially reply to this but I keep writing a scene instead of engaging in a conversation. So to start off, I imagine that Sam doesn’t really tell Ivy much about Danny’s situation. Sam mentions an accident, Sam won’t talk about it, but things slip here and there. Small things, nothing that really gives away anything but Ivy’s smart enough to know that something happened and something is happening. Any other thoughts on this I have are now being written out below.
A couple days after the accident Sam misses their weekly call, She says Danny’s in the hospital an accident happened. Ivy tells her she is here for Sam, if she ever needs to talk about it. Sam doesn’t take her up on that offer, but three days later Ivy gets a message that Danny’s out of the hospital. He is fine, completely fine. (it was just a little shock, ghosts aren’t real, Danny is fine, it wasn’t my fault, I KILLED MY BEST FRIEND)
Two weeks after Sam’s message, and Sam doesn’t pick up Ivy’s calls. She doesn’t ring her back. Ivy sends her texts, reassuring her that she’s there for her, whatever Sam needs.
No reply, just left on read. Ivy’s worries are growing quicker than her plants. For the past three years they have called at least once a week, and texted almost every day.
Sam calls Ivy that third week. Ivy picks up on the first ring. She is greeted by Sam’s, tear stained eyes face on video call. Ivy’s never seen her so upset, not even after a particularly nasty fight with her parents. She asks what’s wrong, is it Sam’s parents again? Sam doesn’t answer, she just says she wants to hear about the new fertiliser that Ivy’s working on the past couple of months.
They talk about fertiliser for two hours that day. Sam refuses to talk about anything else. When Ivy asks about how Danny is doing after almost a month and what the accident even was? Sam snaps and says it’s none of her business and ends the call immediately. Ivy’s left staring at her phone screen wondering what has happened to Danny, to Sam and to their relationship.
Two days later Ivy comes back from a long nature hike to a voicemail on her phone. It’s Sam. Ghosts are real, and they attacked the school. That was sent three hours ago. Ivy rings her immediately. Sam picks up, but she only talks about the attack for a few minutes before asking Ivy about her day. Before they hang up, Sam makes Ivy promise she won’t tell anyone about the ghost attack. Ivy says of course, as long as Sam promises to tell her about anymore ghost attacks that happen to her. It doesn’t matter if she calls her after an attack, or messages her during the attack, as long as Ivy knows she is okay.
Three months follow the first attack and Sam ends up messaging and calling about ghosts attacks from once a week to at least once a day. But the amount Sam is contacting Ivy isn’t the only thing that changed. Sam barely talks about Danny anymore. Any mention of Danny sends Sam into a spiral. She either snaps in anger, bursts into tears or zones out in a thousand yard stare guilt clouding her eyes before snapping back to reality and hanging up. Sam used to never shut about her friends, now Sam only talks about Tucker.
At least Sam will talk about the ghosts. How the ghost attacks are destroying the town, how the ghost hunters are destroying the town even more. Red huntress is the only hunter that cares about civilians and collateral damage but she believes all ghosts are evil. Which isn’t true because Phantom exists. Sam doesn’t talk about Phantom much, she just says that he is a hero. Amity is only okay because of Phantom, and that Ivy can’t tell anyone else about the ghosts in Amity, especially not the bats. Ivy says as long as she knows that Sam is okay, she won’t say a word. After all they both made a promise.
Five months after the first ghost attack. Sam calls Ivy about a ghost that posed as a school councillor and fed off misery in the students. She says that the ghost targeted Danny pretty heavily and tried to kill Jazz. Ivy hides her shock as Sam willingly speaks about Danny for the first time in six months. Half an hour after they finished talking about Spectra, Sam send Ivy a text. She asks how Ivy copes with being not completely human. Sam won’t say why.
The ghost attacks have been going on for almost a year. Ivy is watching Sam slowly become a shell. Sam has completely changed and not for the better. Sure she is talking about Danny again but she refuses to talk about his accident. Ivy doesn’t even know what happened to Danny. Sam’s stopped wearing makeup almost completely, she says she doesn’t have time for it anymore. The lack of concealer shows an abundance of eye bags. Sam says with the ghost attacks she hasn’t had much time to sleep either. Sam’s wardrobe has also become more practical, with less gothic flare and more pockets. It’s still dark and moody, it’s just missing Sam’s flare. Sam herself is missing her flare. Ivy believes Sam, that the ghost attacks are affecting her but the look in Sam’s eyes makes Ivy suspect there is more to it. More she doesn’t know. It’s almost an entire year of watching Sam, her little sprout (her child, her baby) go from a happy, headstrong kid, to withdrawn and sullen.
Ivy has tried everything. She tried giving Sam space, not prying and letting Sam come to her. All that got Ivy was three hour conversations about plants and environment laws in countries on the other side of the globe. She tried to outright insist Sam tell her what she was hiding. That only got Ivy the silent treatment for 3 weeks after Sam yelled at her that she should stay out of it and hang up. Her little flower, her sunshine (her daughter) was hurting and she had no idea how to help. Sam used to tell her everything. What happened?
It’s been over a year since the first ghost attack, and Sam messages Ivy that in four days she will call Ivy and tell her everything. Later that day Ivy receives a package. Inside the package is a burner phone, with the a note attached. The note read “I will explain everything but only on this phone. Tucker made it and we can’t trust our usual line to be secure enough. Make sure you are completely alone, no one else must know. -Sam”
Okay, just four more days. Ivy could do that. After all she waited over a year.
Okay DP x DC prompt for you folks (idk if I will write this but I need to get this outta my head, so feel free to use it)
Poison Ivy is really good friends with Sam. She (and Harley if you want) ends up taking in Sam, Tucker and Danny after The GIW found out about Danny.
They met when Ivy attacked a gala Sam was forced to attend. *Shenanigans ensues* And Ivy swaps numbers with a small feral child named Sam. Over the years they’ve grown closer. Hour long phone calls, and Sam sneaking out of every event her parents drag her too at Gotham to see Ivy. Ivy encouraging Sam to be herself and explore her fashion. Sam thinks of Ivy as her mother. Sam even confided in Ivy about the accident and Danny’s resulting afterlife. Despite this Sam never took up Ivy’s offer to runaway and live with her. Staying to help Danny. Until one day Ivy receives a knock on her door. It is an exhausted Sam and a kid she recognised from photos, Tucker. Both of them are struggling to carry a young boy unconscious battered, bruised and bleeding green.

Those were quite the news to hear.
To think that the Duo of Jon and Damian would grow into a Trio...
He wondered how the girl did it, Elle Nightingale, she must have fit right in.
To say Clark and Bruce weren't surprised would be a lie when those two boys brought in their new third companion and proceeded to roughhouse Robin-Superboy style with her.
And she seemed to retaliate just as hard.
Both fathers wondered if she was the child of a former colleague or another vigilante, that or she was a meta/alien.
So when they went to Central City to meet Elle's parent and let the kids have their fun— well.
They didn't expect a young adult– barely out of the teenage years— greeting them with a grin in a hoodie.
"Sup."
And down the rabbit hole they went.
Over the weeks of meet ups, Clark and Bruce have gathered around 4 different kind of responses to their questions of Elle's other parent/relationship with elle.
It went like this:
("Brother? Aww, you flatter me. I'm her dad, actually.")
("Hm? Elle's other parent? She doesn't have one.")
(A shrug. "I decided I wanted to have a kid. Elle is the result.")
("Plasmius has always been a moron. Elle! On his next weekend, rob him broke!" To which he got an enthusiastic nod from said girl.)
They've gathered;
1. Danny and Elle weren't meta-humans. Instead, at least, half something/alien.
2. Whoever Plasmius is, he was involved.
3. The boys know. Elle seemed to have shared some of her past with them, and they're holding onto the promise of safekeeping and secrecy.

"Vladimir Masters arrived, and by his side is a teen, adolescent guessing around 17. B, he doesn't look too happy to be here." Reports Tim as he stares subtly at the direction of the pair, walking around.
It didn't take a genius to see that the teen by Vladimir's side wasn't happy to be here.
"Got my eyes on them," Dick shares from across the room, where he'd grabbed a glass of champagne and mingled around. "Need some help, I'll try talk to the guy. O, know his name already?"
Tim plucked a small dessert from the table, giving a polite smile to the women passing him and frowning. Vladimir Masters wasn't an unusual guest they had, but whenever he did attend, it was alone. He was not married, Tim knew. So where did he get that guy from?
"Got him." Oracle's voice comes through the comm. "Daniel Fenton-Masters. Guess our friend over there got more family than we knew. That's his godson. There is... a lot. To say."
As she trails off, Dick makes his way slowly and steadily over, interest rising as he waves to an elderly man. "What is it?"
"Daniel hates Masters. Or so it seems." Oracle bluntly states, Dick nearly trips. "He was arrested once for keying Masters car, by Masters himself. Bailed him out after a few hours." She seemed more amused than alarmed, which was good.
Despite their talking through the comm, Tim nor Dick took notice of the youngest Wayne in the room stopping in front of the Masters.
"Eyes on Damian." Bruce speaks up for the first time, finally taking a break from the persona it seems.
Much to the short confusion turned alertness, Dick caught onto the youngest Wayne's plan. "He's engaging in a conversation all by himself! I'm so proud!"
With Damian and Daniel talking, Vladimir did not hesitate in leaving his wards side and talking with other guests. Dick still kept an eye on him, remaining close but outside of his path.
"O, tune us in on their conversation?"
With an affirmative hum, the channel switches and their voices become loud and clear.
"How is Delilah? From the letters I received, she seemed to be well."
"Oh, yeah! She's doing great! Don't tell anyone, Damian, but the zoo believes her to be pregnant."
"Pregnancy? Give her my blessings if it is true."
Was that pride in his tone? Dick would weep if he were alone.
The idle conversation switches topics from the apparently endangered monkey species(? Of course Damian would know. He seemed to have been in contact with Daniel previously.)
"Vladimir!" Brucies voice cuts in, startling Damian for a second and having the other birds in the gala swirl their heads toward their father.
As Dick keeps an eye on Bruce and Vladimir, Tim studied the other teen. During Damians startle, invisible to the trained eye, he had looked back with a flick to see. Despite how fast or practised the move was, Daniel followed along seamlessly.
Almost like a Bird.
The talk between the two ended shortly after the one from the adults started, Daniel was on the move after a quick excuse, grabbing a glass of champagne on his path directly towards his guardian.
And yet. The message he'd given Damian to escape repeated itself in his mind.
"Sorry, Damian, I need to save your father, one second. I'll be back soon."
Save Bruce from Vladimir? Why?
One second, he'd just watched Daniel pass him. The next, the boy was apologising repeatedly, over and over again. The glass of champagne empty on the floor, broken and the liquid inside all over Vladimir Masters.
"Masters is angry. Send someone to clean up the mess, please." To that, man in uniform arrived with a broom in his hand and cleaning up the shards of glass in seconds.
"That was clearly intentional. Daniel made sure Masters didn't get to talk with B past formalities. The picture I'm getting keeps getting uglier here, guys."
"Got it, thanks O. I'm joining in now."
...at least no rogue had yet to crash the gala? Tim hopes he didn't just Jinx them all.

AO3 filters are incredible. The show ended over a decade ago but you're only getting around to watching it now, and you want to avoid spoilers for later seasons? No worries; you can filter out anything posted/updated after a given air date. Don't want to see crossovers? Guess what -- you don't have to. Three clicks is all it takes to make them go away. ONLY want crossovers? They've got that option, too. In a hurry and only have a few minutes to read? Filter out everything over whatever word count you consider to be "too long." Absolutely can't stand this one character/trope/relationship? Exclude, exclude, exclude. And all they ask in return is that you tag your stuff properly. Incredible.
