Can recommend 'you're wrong about' a great Podcast for that. They explain the hot Coffee Case and debunk a ton of other media myths
https://open.spotify.com/episode/1dCN8ulwZwQjUcU2HkH3Fl?si=LUFrSW4aRs6hQ-On51xNtA
You know, it occurs to me that the known internet phenomenon of Reddit “am I the asshole?” posts having completely misleading headers is actually a really great example of a far less known but far more common practice of extreme journalistic spin in cases where there are large monetary incentives to diminish the story in question.
Like, if you see a Reddit post titled “Am I the asshole for buying my wife a new dress?”, the post is pretty much always something totally deranged like: “I (48) really dislike the way my wife (20) dresses, because I think it’s too revealing and makes her look slutty, which was fine when we started dating five years ago, but it makes me feel like she’s going to cheat on me now that we’re married. I’ve politely asked her to get new clothes multiple times, and every time she refused because she said she liked her clothes, and didn’t want to waste money buying new ones. Yesterday I couldn’t take it anymore so I threw out a bunch of her old dresses and bought her a new one that was more modest looking. She started crying because one of the dresses I threw out had been left to her by her mom who died when she was a teen, but I couldn’t have known that it had sentimental value. She said that I should have asked, but obviously if I asked she’d have just told me not to throw out any of her clothes, including the ones that weren’t sentimental. Also, the more modest dress I bought was pretty expensive, and she never thanked me for it. Am I the asshole here, or is she being unreasonable?”
Similarly, whenever you see a headline like “Woman Wins Millions From McDonald’s Because Her Hot Coffee Was Too Hot”, if you dig a bit, you’ll almost always quickly find out that what actually happened was: A 79-year-old ordered coffee which, unbeknownst to her, was being served extremely dangerously hot, because McDonald’s was trying to have coffee that stayed warm over a long commute without spending any extra money on cups with better insulation. The coffee spilled on the old woman’s lap, giving her severe third degree burns over a huge portion of her body, including her genitals. She got to a hospital and they managed to save her life with skin grafting, but she became disabled from the accident, and her genitals and thighs were permanently disfigured. She tried to settle with McDonald’s for her medical costs, and McDonald’s refused to cover any portion of her medical expenses at all, and so she sued. At trial, the jury discovered that this same exact thing had happened seven hundred times before, and McDonald’s had still decided not to change their policy because paying out individual suits was cheaper than moderately reducing their coffee profits. As a result, the jury awarded punitive damages designed to penalize McDonald’s two days worth of their coffee profits, in addition to the woman’s medical costs.
I think it’s largely the same phenomenon, but I know a lot of people who are familiar with the first case, but don’t know to look for the second. If you see some totally outrageous “how could a person ever sue over this stupid thing?” case, you should immediately be incredibly suspicious that that’s all that actually happened, because a lot of the time, it absolutely isn’t. The people who have the most incentive to make their opponent look not only wrong, but completely crazy for having any sort of grievance at all, are often the actually unreasonable ones.
Anyway this is all to say that if I see ANY of y’all automatically siding with McDonald’s over the recent case where 4-year-old girl was severely burned by their chicken nuggets because “hurr durr dumb kid didn’t know that chicken nuggets were hot, people sue over anything lol”, I will grab that McBoot you’re licking and shove it all the way up your McFuckingAss.

First of all: Yes. Absolute mood.
I bought a Skateboard and an Ukulele cos my thing was "learn Instrument to sing along to cos people who can do that are hot and I wanna Play that Interlude by paramore and stuff".
Little Tip here:Just start with one and Focus till you get a little better and feel like you completed learning a little.
I would recommend painting or embroidery. You can get supplies cheap and there is a Lot of YouTube Tutorials and little health risk.
Also you See a result. That ist important for braun to make it Go 'Yay wanna do more' in the little reward Center.
Sewing is great. To start cos fixing Things ist awesome. Get a sewing Starter kit. Try visible mending for holes. If someone you know Sews and has a sewing Maschine ask to learn from them. I adopted my moms and learned the basics. I ain't good but I did Not buy New pants These past few years cos I can fix the fucking Thighholes. I even elongated the pockets in some of my pants (I can shove my whole Hand in and my Phone!).
Learn History with Podcasts like 'The Pirate History Podcast' or 'The Midnight library' to Name a few. You can do that as you Paint or sew.
As for singing: Just sing. Sing along badly, sing along passionate. I do that all the time at Home by Putting on a song in repeat I've had stuck in my head. Spotify even provides Lyrics. I can almost sing 'wait for it', 'satisfied' and 'burn' from Hamilton by heart without running out of breath. Professional instruction is not that easy but you could Always join a choir. And again many YouTube Tutorials may help.
Gardening is not too hard. Some pots, some soil, some seeds, read the Pack, water it regularly, done. Maybe start with some herb pots. Most grow well If you cut some stems and Put them in water they will get new root, it is awesome.
Write your Fantasy Stories in a Notebook If you have them already Just start somewhere. Anything written is better than having it just in your mind. Did thet for years and I need to start again. You can make Sense of the written stuff later. Same for poetry. A line you think of sounds nice write it down. Maybe ask Haiku bot I am not a Poet.
Pottery courses are also a Thing. Others than that. Air dry Clay and YouTube I guess.
I don' t know much about the rest but I Hope it helped.
Quench your thirst for knowledge @onmyownside1 my friend. Quench it by taking Action. By doing what you want to do. Become the hot skillful Person you are meant to become.
I want to learn to write so I can bring all my fantasy stories to life. I want to learn poetry because it sounds like a rap but a bit more beautiful. I want to learn how to animate so I bring all my super cool sports action scenes to life. I want to learn photography because when the sun hits the clouds a certain way they look like cotton candy. I want to learn rendering so I can upgrade my artstyle. I want to learn history so I can learn about how people lived in the past. I want to learn to learn how to embroidery so I can make patches and sew them to a black denim jacket. I want to learn to skate because people who can skate are hot and also I could go really fast. I want to learn pottery because people who do pottery are hot and also I want to make a bird feeder. I want to learn to sing so when I try to do Dear Evan Hansen and Wicked and Beetlejuice and Heathers I can put all the emotions I feel when I listen to the songs into my voice. I want to learn how to sew so I can fix clothing and make my own clothes. I want to learn how to paint so I can make beautiful watercolor paintings. I want to learn how to skateboard because people who skate are hot and it just looks really fun. I want to learn how to ice skate because people who can skate are hot and it’s something I haven’t quite mastered yet. I want to learn to tend to plants so I can make my own garden with birds and butterflies. I want to learn digital painting so I can make prints. I just want to learn.

Yes absolutely on Point. Listen to the curriers they are lovely.
Reasons you should listen to Skyjacks: Courier's Call
Creative and witty tabletop podcast with all the unrelated chatter cut out, but still rich with banter
Unique but well-established world with rich lore, cultures, history
Airships and giant birds!
Sky posties! Sky pirates!
It's aimed at a younger audience but if you don't fall into that, will absolutely make you feel like a kid again
Follows three teens on their adventures as apprentices of the Swiftwell Courier Service:
Cecilia "Cici" Witwick: Fourteen and loud, Cici is bold, she's hilarious, she's fat and artistic and fiercely protective of her friends, and possibly the coolest person you'll ever meet.
June Hymnall: Tall and wirey, June's fourteen and has a knack for working with birds. Cici's long-time friend, she's the quieter of the two, but no less bold, and always willing to throw hands for her friends.
Kiran Row: Small and quiet, Kiran's thirteen, just recently moved to town from far away, and has a bit of a mysterious past. They're sweet, always taking notes, easily frazzled, full of hidden talent, and have an eye for shiny objects.
The absolute CUTEST cover art
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Amazing music written just for the Skyjacks universe!
Casually queer, full of nb characters especially
Heaps of lore and bonus stories, almost every other episode
Really interesting kinds of magic presented in refreshing and intriging ways
If you ever want more: there's a whole sister show with over a hundred episodes (targeted at adults, still amazing), or you can listen to either independently, but has sneaky crossovers and shared lore
Or! There's two whole special mini-arcs on the patreon!
Players and creators who work amazingly together to tell the story and build the world and just always seem to be having so much fun. Really support and uplift eachother and their ideas
Just really good you should go listen

Every time I see weirdo birds like these I think of campaign skyjacks now who who have introduced the concept of "lionbirds" to me that are just birds but fucking huge! As if birds are Not scary enough already! Great Podcast tho.
top five most fucked up looking birds imaginable. just absolutely thrashed. complete garbage cans with wings
This was a ton of fun and the result of an hour long phone call with @elwingflight, narrowing down the Worst Birds. We’ve tried to skip over the most obvious selections (Ocellated Turkey, Jabirou, Shoebill, all vultures, Marabou Stork, Frogmouths, and Potoos) for some truly underrated garbage creatures. As usual, sources are linked:

Thats an amazing concept. Saving for If I ever DM a DnD Game thanks Pencil
An actual idea: Making "Animate Dead" Evil Again
Zombies and skeletons in D&D, for all they play to spooky images, aren't really horrific. They're a mismash of two different lores that can't really work together (like a lot of zombie fiction but that's a discussion for another day)- the mindless ravenous predators of modern zombie apocalypse and the tragic undead slaves of the original stories. But they lack either sides symbolic resonance. They're no apocalypse- they're disposable cannon fodder even a starting party can take down- but nor is there any indication that "animate dead" is an actual evil act beyond being kinda gross. This seems very harmless for both a nominal horror monster, and something intended to be a genuinely (indeed, mechanically) evil act.
It doesn't seem possible to make them a real threat without major changes, so the obvious solution to this is a simple fluff change. They're not mindless. They're compelled, they can't act of their own volition. But they're still in there.
They don't shamble. They visibly struggle against the motions their limbs make, as if they were puppets trying to resist their strings. They don't moan. They sob, and when they see the players they force out desperate apologies and pleas for help. They're not stupid. They're intentionally twisting orders and trying to destroy themselves to the best of their ability because they hate the necromancer and are taking what vengeance they can.
Maybe they can genuinely help, if the players will accept it. The "disposable minions" see a lot, and might mutter the necromancer's weaknesses or warnings about an upcoming ambush or whatever useful information they've seen while attacking. Failing that, they fight to lose. They're easy to beat not because they're weak, but because they're on your side. They intentionally move to hinder the necromancer and help the party as much as they're able to, they interpret all the villain's orders as unhelpfully as they can, they hiss encouragements and laugh hollowly when the players succeed.
The undead hordes are victims, not monsters. They're the people the players are trying to help, or at least avenge. And they're trying, as best as they can, to make it happen.
