TDAC: Currency

The currency used in The Dark Asgard Chronicles: Mangling the Fowls, a Marvel Cinematic Universe: Thor movie fanfiction by L M Stephens.

Asgard has access to various currencies, including the units traded throughout the cosmos. On Asgard and the other realms (except Midgard), coins are the staple currency. I have added a conversion chart below and have made it as simple as possible.

1 gold piece = $100.00 USD

1 silver piece = $10.00 USD/10 silver pieces = 1 gold piece

1 copper piece = $1.00 USD/10 copper pieces = 1 silver piece

Gold: valknut, which is a symbol related to Odin and used in a lot of Norse artefacts

Silver: Sleipnir, Odin's horse

Copper: a bird representing Odin's ravens, Huginn and Muninn

TDAC: Potions

Potions used in The Dark Asgard Chronicles: Mangling the Fowls, a Marvel Cinematic Universe: Thor movie fanfiction by L M Stephens.

Necro Toxin

A poison green in color that necrotizes the tissue of a living organism on contact. Healers can stop the necrosis from spreading, but a scar will remain that they cannot remove due to the magical properties of the poison. It is illegal throughout the Nine Realms but is marketed secretly among criminals, particularly assassins.

Citrus Oil - Lime

I don't have anything written for this, because it's really basic. This is more so Loki's everyday scent. It's lime, hence the color. I figured with all that green, he would pick lime as a citrus scent if he were to wear a citrus scent. Anyway, citrus oil can come in any variety of citrus scents.

Glow Water

Made of water from mountain streams with the nectar of rare flowers added, it has a fresh yet sensual scent that tantalizes the senses. It is unisex, worn by both genders. Worn on human females, it is an intense aphrodisiac. The female human will find herself attracting a horde of male suitors with their primal urges awakened. It is not suitable for human males due to their hormones. Though it will smell fine to the human male’s nose, others will find the smell revolting. Note: even though it's unisex, I had the artist make this bottle more masculine-ish for Loki because he wears it sometimes, but it has a bit more of a masculine scent, just a tiny hit, maybe with a little bit of sandalwood or a sprinkle of spices in it. Either way, both men and women can wear this version or any version. This is the traditional color of it, a glowing orange and whatnot. So, yeah, this would be the average, standard Glow Water.

Cycle Wine

Made from violets and other herbs, this potion has a consistency a bit thicker than regular wine and has a beautiful purple color with a tart sweetness to it that females find pleasant. This is a contraceptive that renders a woman infertile for exactly 30 days, with fertility returning on the first day of the month. It also works on female humans and animals.

Detoxing Remedy for Drunkenness

Used to clear inebriated minds, the Detoxing Remedy for Drunkenness is taken in three potions. The first potion is icy, followed by the lukewarm, and ends with the hot.

Breeding Tonic

Created to combat slave self-sterilization, mainly for Dark Elf slaves. The tonic is made from pomegranate juice and other herbal ingredients. As a counter to slave self-sterilization, it regenerates and repairs the reproductive organs if they are removed or damaged. In addition to this, the tonic increases fertility, increases pheromones, and can make a barren slave fertile. The tonic can also be used by free people who find it hard to reproduce.

Elixir of Longevous

Made from blueberry juice and other herbal ingredients, it is used to extend a person’s life. No one knows why the healers created it because Asgardians naturally have a long life. The crown prohibits masters from giving it to their Midgardian slaves because it is unethical to interfere with a species' biology. The actual reason is that the crown is afraid that if Midgardian slaves live longer, they would flood the economy, jeopardizing the flow and price of slaves.

Purity Potion

It is white in color and made with milk and other herbal ingredients. It can tell whether a person has their virginity intact. If the person drinking the potion is a virgin, nothing will happen, but if they are not, they will vomit.

Tummy Tonic

It is akin to the Midgardian Pepto-Bismol but tastes slightly sweet and is thin. It soothes all stomach problems.

TDAC: Slaves

The slave society in The Dark Asgard Chronicles: Mangling the Fowls, a Marvel Cinematic Universe: Thor movie fanfiction by L M Stephens.

Definitions

Slave Chain: the slaves that a master owns. Slave Sister/Brother: a term used between slaves on the same chain. Slave Mark: placed on the outside ankle, slave markings make it known that a person is a slave and note who owns them. A Healer’s Lock of glowing blue Asgardian words forms a circle around the symbol. The lock prevents the scarring or removal of the slave marking by anyone except a Healer. Marking slavers receive several years of training before they can tattoo a slave. The process is painful for the slave as the marking slaver uses a wooden needle, which Midgardians consider archaic compared to the electrically powered mechanisms they use.

Ranks

Note: some slave duties might overlap. A pleasure slave might double as a hand slave, etc.

Slave Mother/Father: an elderly slave who oversees all the slaves on a chain.

Best Girl/Boy: the most favored slave whom the master treats better than the rest. The master might supply them with a room in their chambers, allow them to sit on the furniture, and allow them to eat the food that free people eat.

Pleasure Slave: a slave whose duty is to please a master in all ways that he wants.

Hand Slave: the slave on the bottom of a chain whose duty is to follow the master around to be available to perform any task the master needs.

Nanny Slave: a slave whose job is to take care of children. Can only be female.

Breeder Slave: a slave whose job is to breed more slaves.

Labor Slave: a slave whose job is to perform laborious tasks around a master’s estate, such as tending the stables, cleaning the house, cooking, etc.

Fighting Slave: a slave whose job is to fight in an arena for entertainment. Some fights are to the death.

Slave Marks

The mark that Loki uses for all his slaves.

The mark that Thor uses for all his slaves.

The mark that Frigga uses for all her slaves.

The mark that Odin uses for all his slaves.

Slave Food

Slaves ate the same thing at every meal unless the master favored them. Daily meals consisted of gruel made of oats and grains swept from mill floors with dried and ground fruit and vegetable waste like stems, leaves, skins, and seeds. Slices of stale bread and a square of loaf meat made from offal and the less desirable parts of meat went with the gruel. During the morning, they had tea sans milk, cream, honey, or sugar. In the afternoon, they had milk, and in the evening, they had water.

Nobility can only be males; however, females are born into the caste, but they cannot hold a position of power.

Warriors, except Valkyries, can only be males; Valkyries are only females of Nobility.

Officials can only be males.

Legislators can only be males.

Healers can only be females.

Scholars are males except for Historians, Researchers, and Wizards - Disciplined, who can be any gender.

Builders can only be males.

Traders can only be males.

Artisans can be any gender, except Potters, Cloth Workers, Weavers, and Clothiers are only females, and Leather Workers, Metal Workers, and Woodworkers are only males.

Clerks can be any gender, except that Receptionists, Secretaries, and Librarians are only female.

Peasants can be any gender, except that only males can be Hunters, Fishermen, Farmers, or Ranchers, and only females can be Teachers – Grade School Level

Slavers can only be males.

Punishers can only be males.

Slaves can be of any gender, but females are more valuable because they can produce more slaves.

Outcastes can be any gender.

Women who are of the Healers caste, or a Scribe, Historian, Researcher, Witch – Disciplined, or Teacher – Grade School Level, must relinquish their position if they become married and/or pregnant.

A Pledge

To avoid conflict with the BDSM community, L M Stephens pledges not to use the term BDSM for the type of bondage and slave relationships depicted in their stories. They fully understand that the BDSM community is one based on trust and consent. Being responsible, L M Stephens wishes not to be a threat to the community by labeling their content wrong.

While L M Stephens' writing might depict master/slave, master/pet, dom/slave, dom/pet, etc. relationships, their writing is more along the lines of Gorean. Having read John Norman's novels, their styles and tastes were heavily influenced by the non-consenting bondage and total power exchange in those books. However, while they might use titles and other BDSM terminology, it is NOT BDSM.

The clubs in the stories will not be referred to as BDSM clubs, but something along the lines of bondage, sex, or pet clubs. The main difference is that these clubs are run by the supernatural, and there are no limits as to what a master can do with his slave. Please keep in mind that this is fiction and not meant to represent any real-life group.

Although it is not a BDSM story or a story depicting it, the mention of BDSM and its terminology might be used, referred to, referenced, or mentioned in the story. This will not be done to link BDSM to L M Stephens' fictional stories, but as discussions between characters, a character's thoughts, a comparison of BDSM and what the characters partake in, etc.

L M Stephens only wishes the BDSM community the best with a lot of respect. They hope that the community will understand this pledge and trust that they will uphold it.

This blog and the works created by L M Stephens are dedicated to their mother, who was taken away too soon. They remember their mother being a strong and courageous woman who always taught her children to be brave and to do what is right in the world.

L M Stephens' mother had a very colorful and humorous nature that made light of dark situations. This sense of humor allowed her children not to lose hope in their dire situations.

L M Stephens was raised in poverty with their mother having to rely on their grandmother for help. Even still, L M Stephens has always found their mother to be the most beautiful and influential woman in their life, as she supported their writing craft.

Though she is gone, she will be forever loved.

Pieces of Me Too (Song Lyrics Book)

The song lyrics in this collection are written in several styles, from rock, R&B, contemporary, and pop. Music has changed over the years, so L M Stephens tries their best to label the style of every song. Growing up, they were a huge fan of music from various genres. Their taste in music was eclectic. Even when songs they didn’t like were playing, they found themselves wiggling their toes and tapping their feet to the beat.

These songs are a melodic journey of pain, pleasure, love, hate, life, and much more. L M Stephens supports individuality and a person's right to choose how to live their life. It is evident in the lyrics they have created. The lyrics are not hindered by gender, age, race, sexuality, etc. They can be sung by anyone. There is no need to feel threatened or excluded when enjoying these words.

L M Stephens invites you to this musical odyssey where you will find all your melodic needs. Sing them a cappella or jam with an instrumental beat. Strum up a chord, thump on the drums, and shake some maracas because these words are coming at you full force. They’ll have you singing and dancing all night long. Toodles!

Pieces of Me (Poetry Book)

Be advised that some of the poetry in this collection is written in an African American vernacular and offers insight into the African American culture. Some of the poetry is emotional, and others take the reader on a journey. As well, some poems are told from a male point of view while others are told from a female point of view. Further still, some of the poems in this collection are from real-life events, and some aren't about anyone at all.

The poems are not written in any style or rhyme scheme. They are written in free form and rhyme. L M Stephens has never cared for poems in styles like haikus, sonnets, odes, etc. They have always let the words run wild, creating their unique patterns. It is L M Stephens’ opinion that some poems lose their flow when they are forced into a style.

So, L M Stephens invites you to enjoy this journey and hopes it takes you to novel places and conjures thoughts you never would have explored on your own. The process of creating these pieces was very soothing and joyful for them. So good luck with your reading adventure. Hope it takes you somewhere.

Pieces of Me is a poetry and song lyrics collection from the mind of one complex and unusual being. Some of the poetry bleeds out honesty, while some are complete fabrications of L M Stephens’ immense imagination. The song lyrics are from their soul, which is like a caged bird with a bleeding heart. “Who are they talking about?” you may wonder. Perhaps no one at all.

As with original fiction and fanfiction, L M Stephens has been writing poetry and song lyrics since elementary school. Their mother used to enjoy reading the pieces and encouraged them many times to publish. Time passed, and adulthood became hectic. Writing was pushed aside and left abandoned on desktops and flash drives. Now, with more time on their hands and support from a fellow writer, L M Stephens is pushing these pieces out there for an audience to enjoy.

TQC: Creatures of the Night

It’s mid-May 1985, Prince’s “Raspberry Beret” has just dropped and is pounding from boom boxes across the nation. However, that’s not all that has dropped. Corey Quigley’s devotion and trust in his master and blood father, Brent Englewood, are waning. Though Corey was made a vampire decades ago, he is still emotionally vulnerable like a teenage girl. For years, Corey has been struggling under the sadistic rule of his master. Even the bond between him and his blood brother, Shane Coleman, can’t alleviate Brent’s stifling hold on him.

A birthday bash served with cruel and debasing delights is the last brick to slip from a wall of commitment, with everything tumbling down. Taking to the night, Corey escapes to a rough and impoverished neighborhood hoping to get lost among the lycan riff raff. While settling into his new gritty residence, his sights are trained on a local girl, Natasha Parks. Building a relationship with her is not wise, but smarts have never been Corey’s strong suit. Things only become more hectic when Shane shows up.

Corey struggles with the pendulum of his heart and his fear of being dragged back to Brent. The only thing Corey is completely sure of is that he doesn’t want to feel pain anymore and will do anything to thwart its return. Will Corey stay afloat, or is it his destiny to drown?
