Help Finding a Fanfic Please

This was a Pokémon fanfic that I read probably about a decade ago and I’ve never been able to find it again. I don’t think it was finished, I’m pretty sure that Ash could talk to Pokémon and he had a Weedle that didn’t want to evolve that he rushed to get an Everstone for, and he beat Brocks Onix with said Weedle, and I’m 99% sure that the fanfic was on Fanfiction.net. If anyone knows what fic this is I’d really appreciate a link to it, thanks a lot.

I just found this post reblog from 4 years ago and I said 10 back then, but maybe I counted wrong because now it’s 12 things that I haven’t done, and I’ve only sung karaoke for the first time this year, so logically it should have been 13 things four years ago, what did I do?!

In Pokémon XY there is this one trainer, Gardener Grover, and his starting dialogue is like “if you beat me, I’ll tell you the real name of this garden!” And it’s either a joke because he says the name in the opening dialogue or he just never tells you! Because when you beat him, he’s like “well, I guess you’re good at Pokémon, and I’m good at gardening”

For some reason he just infuriates me every time!

Sometimes(most of the time) I’ve forgotten what I’ve named my Pokémon and so when I bring out specific ones for a gym battle and the screen tells me Lucifer wants to learn Power-Up Punch(or whatever) or it says Hydra leveled up to level 29, and I’m fighting at an electric gym, I’m just like, who did I bring with me that has those names? Lucifer is my Lucario and I didn’t use him in the gym and Hydra is my Dugtrio and I really only just got him

I don’t know if you picked Condiment King for this reason or not, but he would be a terrifying villain for Danny to encounter, his whole family and his friends were killed by an explosion caused by a special sauce, a condiment, if you will. Danny Fenton the only one to actually fear Condiment King.

The new wayne sibling concerns his family danny the new sibling can get anything you just have to ask the thing is no one can figure out how like it started small like tim saying god I'd kill for [hyper specific coffee brand he got one time 2 years ago from a coffee shop on a mission] and the next day danny places the coffee down infront of tim

Now danny refuses to answer how or where he got it from but the others of course have to experiment and so they start experimenting like they mention more and more obscure until eventually damian asks for a legendary magical sword and danny doesn't doesn't have it in the the usual 2-3 days they think it's bust but Don't mention anything

(Can't exactly reveal you were doing experiments our new brother and taking advantage of him as well)

Until a week later daimian wakes to a gleaming sword of legends on his bed

Meanwhile danny who is freshly traumatised is going if i prove myself useful they won't throw me out right?

The Worst Decision That J. K. Rowling Made Within The Original Harry Potter Series

This has nothing to do with her now, or her views, or the movies, or the additional books that she wrote, this is just about the original series.

The fact that she made Ravenclaws’ mascot an eagle and not a RAVEN! Like, it’s literally right in the name, and ravens are one of if not the smartest birds. It just makes no sense to me, if she had made the mascot an owl, I would at least understand because owls are wise or whatever, but an eagle?

The other mascots all make sense, for Griffindor they probably didn’t want to have one house with a magical creature and made the mascot one half of the griffin (because the other half was taken by Ravenclaw [which honestly makes it have even less sense in my opinion]). Then they have a snake for Slytherin, probably because of the founder’s ability to talk to snakes. As for Hufflepuff, I guess they could have picked whatever they wanted to as long as it was hardworking and/or loyal, so a badger is fine.

Most Ravenclaw merchandise has a raven depicted on it, I hardly ever see eagles being mentioned as the mascot in and out of fanfics, I don’t know if Rowling remembers that she made eagles the mascot for Ravenclaw and just doesn’t care that everyone gets it wrong if if she just forgot about it along with everyone else.

Maybe we should have seen the signs about Rowling from the very beginning with her first questionable decision.

@bongo-clash I thought you might like to see my drawing with all of the little details, like little runic circle feathers, jellyfish bells, flowers (of some kind), peacock eyes, frost bitten lips (the most human feature that the being has), clouds, pearls, smoke, and a strange curving feature where the neck might be that unfolds into an eye.

I like to take every little detail from a description of something and make sure to include it, even if it doesn’t completely fit my first idea, get ready for more details that will only show up in color!

Bots are different now, I think

In the last week, I’ve gotten ten or more new followers and all of them have profile pics of beautiful women and no title or posts, they have to be bots, right? At least some of them, it just feels a little strange.

AO3 Fanfic Tags #3

Here’s a tag that I’ve been seeing a lot, but unlike the “a+ parenting” tag, this one seems more 50/50 about what people decide it means to them.

“Blank Is A Little Shit”

To me, that tag seems pretty light hearted, like “my little brother is being a little shit today” or “my best friend just pranked our teacher, he’s such a little shit” and I’ve seen people use it that way.

But I’ve also seen it used for much more antagonistic characters that make me think that the fic is an AU where they are not as bad or are friends with the protagonist, but then I read the next tags and it’s like “John Is A Little Shit” “John Bashing” “John Kills Your Favorite Character”

I propose we introduce the sister tag to this, because one or two words can change the whole meaning of a sentence “Blank Is A Piece Of Shit” Though, I’m sure that it’s already a tag.

AO3 Fanfic Tags #2

I made the first post in this series like a year ago, but I have found another tag to talk about:

“Fantastic Racism”

I just think that this tag is so hilarious because I didn’t understand it at first, and maybe I still don’t understand it so correct me if I’m wrong, but this tag is basically warning people that there is going to be racism in the fic, but that the racism is against fictional races, like elves, centaurs, wizards, and anything else that doesn’t exist.

It is not in fact a tag telling you that this fic that you are about to read has some fantastic racism in it, in case you are into that sort of thing. I was very confused the first time I saw that tag, and the next few times as well, mostly because some of the fics took place in modern times, so I didn’t really get it until I realized that they meant “Fantastic” as in “Fantasy” and not that it’s great.

Your Writing Doesn’t Have To Have A Deeper Meaning

Your writing doesn’t have to have symbolism or a moral or mean anything other than exactly what you wrote.

I wrote a fanfic for my creative writing class final (though, I did change the names) and half of the class thought that it was about how drugs are bad for you.

Which makes no sense in the context of my story. My story was about two cannibals meeting another cannibal and them going out and killing some guy and eating him. But as they look for someone to kill, they find some druggy passed out in an alleyway, but they don’t eat him because they don’t want to get sick from the drugs.

I just wanted them to be logical cannibals and maybe make a joke about them only eating organic food, it doesn’t even make sense that they thought it was about how drug use was bad, because the druggy lived in the end (or he at least wasn’t killed by cannibalistic teens) it was the clean guy that died!

The rest of the class thought that they were vampires.

And in a class of less than 20 people and an assignment with no prompts, two people wrote about cannibalism, which I thought was funny

AO3 Fanfic Tags

All of us in any fandom, as a community, have come to the agreement that the tag “Blank’s A+ Parenting Skills” means that that person is a horrible parent, so much so that if you put that tag for someone that is an actual good parent, they have to add an extra tag saying something like “for real” or “this isn’t sarcasm” or “actually A+ this time”

Fanfiction Tags on AO3

I’m going to start a series of posts talking about things I’ve noticed about fanfic tags, originally it was going to just be one post, but I’ve thought of too many things.

These are things that don’t make sense to me, things I find funny, and tags that we as a community have all agreed mean something that they wouldn’t for other people.

This is just my starting post that I will reblog with links to my other posts at some point.

UPDATE!

Puddles has finally talked about leaving as of yesterday! And her dialogue when I said that she would move started with “I know you don’t really want me to leave” and I was like, Bitch, yes I do!

Also, literally a couple days after posting this, Megan finally mentioned leaving (she was my starting normal villager) and so I went on my quest to find one of my next villagers.

Why do the villagers that you want to leave almost never seem to mention moving away?!

Julian has thought about moving at least three times, and so has Drago, yet I still have my starting lazy, normal, and peppy.

It also seems to always be Julian and Drago, it’s not even any of the other villagers that I plan to keep, like Marshal, Shino, or Marlo when I still planned on keeping him. I traded him for my favorite jock villager (Bud) when he visited the campsite, I love Marlo, but he’s not my favorite cranky.

I just want Puddles to move out already! I don’t want her on my island.
