HI<3 im currently editing some antoine angst (i actually spell his name wrong every time i type it and its starting to piss me off) because i cannot mentally deal with what happened to him it was worse than what youre thinking so i needed to write about his agony as a coping mechanism, editing it because i wrote it frantically last night at like 2am while half asleep to distract myself from THINKING ABOUT JOHN

lune was a little shit, he's very rebellious now but he was even more rebellious when he was a teenager lmfao

he would CONSTANTLY get into fights, anyone that pissed him off he did not hesitate to attack

his relationship with his parents was already bad but it quickly deteriorated at this point in time

he was relatively popular in school but uh, everyone stayed away from him or tried to be on his good side because... well yk! didn't wanna get attacked..?

also people thought he was annoying but hey at least he was good looking!

he did not know he was popular btw. like at all, no idea, still doesn't know

his grades were like... okay, not great, but not bad, and he would skip class a lot... dumbass

his nails were constantly painted different colours bc cecilia would do them often, he was also never seen without a bracelet on his right wrist

he hasn't really changed since then lmao

cecilia:

she was a bit more reserved back in highschool, still nice and friendly but she had a hard time approaching others because she was nervous (and others found her a bit intimidating cause she didn't smile much) ((and she's related to lune and that guy was known for being crazy))

her and lune were known as "those rich twins"

was constantly stressing over lune because of how much he got in trouble it's not like their parents would do anything about it.

kept her hair long and undyed! she liked doing different things with her hair and would try out diffy styles a lot of the time

she liked having long hair, and randomly cut it off impulsively lmfao (3 am on a school night, she couldn't sleep and was like ok why not)

good student, wasn't always at school but she was doing well

hated going to school, couldn't tell you why, just hated it

she was really awkward as a teen, but she was trying her best

always had bracelets on, if you saw her she had a bunch on her left hand, and then just one on her right.

always had her nails done (she did them herself ^^)

would always carry a few hair ties on her in case any one needed to tie their hair

one time she tried to be cool and approached a girl who didn't have a hair tie and just dropped it in her hands and walked away (she then walked out of class bc she felt embarrassed)

you took it upon yourself to cut his hair because it was REALLY long when you first met him, he likes having his hair long though, mourned the loss of his two front strands (he will be growing them back.)

he didn't talk to you for a few days after you cut his hair for the first time, wasn't your fault... you accidentally cut off one of the front strands and had to cut the other off to make it even

fun fact about him, his eyes glow in the dark, it can be scary at times.

oh and his ears are expressive, dunno how that works but it does! and he also never goes a day without wearing earrings! he prefers the ones he came with but doesn't mind wearing whatever as long as he has earrings haha

CECILIA -> LUNE: dawg you’re like two minutes older than me (won’t deny the best buddies comment) he’s a really good brother though… but tough to deal with, he’s always causing some sort of trouble, but uh, well. anyway, we’re basically best friends… his words, not mine (she’s lying) he’s crazy but he’s not a bad person..? <- would defend him with her life. he’s an interesting fella that’s for sure, i’ve known him my whole life but there’s always something new with him lmfao. sometimes he comes into my room to knock something over and then he leaves, what an odd guy.

CECILIA -> NOX: he’s pretty sweet (??????) we’re really great friends! i didn't think we would become such good friends tbh, he didn't seem to be the social type, and i'm not very social either haha... we're pretty similar i think! i can't remember who approached who first but that's fine. also, this guy has one of the worst damn sleep schedules known to man, i worry for that man. also, him and lune hate each other, no idea why.

NOX -> CECILIA: she's a close friend, i don't usually like making friends cause they end up thinking i'm weird, i don't really care about that but... i'll admit, it's nice to have a friend. she acts really differently in front of other people than she does with me, i don't think she's realized though? it's like having a cat open up to you haha, so i won't say anything. i hate her brother though, pretentious dickhead.

CASSIAN -> CECILIA: we were kids when i met her and her brother? she’s nice… and a lot like me… we still talk, she’s a good friend, thanks for keeping me company… and thanks for not asking me too many questions either

CECILIA -> CASSIAN: oh! cass is a childhood friend! we met at some event, he’s changed a lot since then, but i guess we’re more alike now? he doesn’t come out of his house much anymore, but we still text often. sometimes i see him online really late... bro... please get some sleep.... anyway, i never got to know what happened with him, and he doesn't like talking about it either, i won't pry though, because i understand.

Dr. Ratio, or as you currently know him—Inverted Ratio—was sprawled out on the floor of the library, cradling a fluffy cat he had somehow acquired during the chaos of his transformation. His once confident, commanding demeanor had been replaced with a relaxed, daydreamy attitude. Where there was once sharp intellect, there now existed an almost whimsical detachment. His violet waves had turned to a soft, sandy blond, and his piercing reddish pink eyes were now a tranquil, oceanic blue.

"I think," he mused, holding the cat above his head, "this creature might know the secret to happiness." His voice was soft, almost sing-songy. "What do you think, little one? Should we forget the universe's problems and nap forever?"

You sighed, rubbing your temple as you leaned against a nearby desk. This had been going on for hours. After a mysterious artifact he had insisted on examining blasted him with some kind of energy, Ratio's sharp, relentless personality had flipped entirely. No longer interested in solving the mysteries of the universe, he had become obsessed with taking life at a snail’s pace.

"Dr. Ratio—" you began.

"Veritas," he corrected you lazily. "Or just call me… Sunshine. Doesn't that feel lighter?"

"Okay, Sunshine," you said dryly, crossing your arms. "Can you stop petting the cat for five minutes so we can figure out how to get you back to normal?"

"But why?" he asked, sitting up and tilting his head with an absentminded grin. His golden armor shimmered under the library lights, reflecting the strange new hues of his personality. "Normal is boring, don't you think? Being like this is so much… fun. Besides, who says knowledge can't wait?"

You groaned. The man who once obsessed over eradicating ignorance had decided ignorance was bliss. It was up to you to find a solution, but in the meantime, you had to babysit this inverted version of Ratio—and prevent him from sneaking off to nap in the gardens.

Argenti, the epitome of chivalry and nobility, was now pacing around the courtyard in his inverted form. His aquamarine hair caught the sunlight, cascading down his back like a flowing waterfall, but his usual calm determination had been replaced with an air of smug self-indulgence. He admired his reflection in every shiny surface he passed, spinning the blue rose box he now carried with a flourish.

"Ah, [Name]," he greeted you with a bright, self-satisfied smile, "what a pleasure it must be to bask in my presence today." He struck a dramatic pose, his silver armor catching the light as though he were performing on stage. "The embodiment of beauty has arrived!"

You blinked at him, torn between frustration and amusement. "Argenti, what are you doing?"

"Merely gifting the world a glimpse of perfection," he said, holding up the box of roses. "Do you think I should present these to myself? Surely, no one is as deserving."

This was definitely not the stoic knight you knew. Gone was his humble dedication to beauty and righteousness; instead, this inverted Argenti was a self-absorbed drama queen. He twirled around, inspecting his armor.

"You know, [Name], I’ve been thinking… perhaps I should stop fighting monsters entirely. Why sully my hands with such crude endeavors when I could be hosting galas or composing sonnets?"

You groaned, grabbing his arm and dragging him away from the fountain where he’d been admiring himself. "Listen, Your Majesty, you need to snap out of it. Remember the oath you took as a knight of Beauty? Or has that all gone out the window?"

"Oh, relax," he said with a dismissive wave of his hand. "I’m still all about beauty—my beauty. Shall we find a mirror next?"

You were going to need a miracle to handle this version of him until he returned to normal.

Boothill—now with flowing blond hair and bright teal accents in his outfit—leaned casually against the side of his ship, a grin plastered across his face. His once menacing demeanor had transformed into a confident, overly-charming attitude that made your life much harder. The inverted color palette didn’t make him any less intimidating, but the cocky way he winked at you now somehow felt worse.

"Hey there, partner," he drawled, flipping his blond hair out of his face with a dramatic flourish. His sharp teeth flashed in a smirk, and his now-light-colored eyes glinted mischievously. "Y’know, revenge is overrated. I’ve been thinkin’—maybe I should just settle down, open a saloon or somethin'. What d’you think?"

You narrowed your eyes at him, hands on your hips. "Boothill, are you serious? Yesterday, you were storming IPC warehouses, and now you want to run a saloon?"

"Well, yeah," he said with a shrug, tipping his hat back. "Seems like a nice, easy life, don’t it? Plus, it’d give me more time to charm folks like you." He winked again, and you groaned audibly.

This version of Boothill had no interest in his revenge quest, no fire for justice—just an insufferable level of swagger and a bizarre fascination with himself. He pulled his scarf tighter around his neck, the teal detailing standing out starkly against his golden mechanical torso.

"Don’t look so grumpy, [Name]. You’re stuck with me, so you might as well enjoy the show."

You crossed your arms. "Listen, Blondie, if you don’t help me figure out how to fix this, I’m leaving you in this state."

He laughed, leaning in closer. "Oh, darlin', I don’t think you’d survive without me. Who else would make your life this exciting?"

You were going to need a lot of patience to deal with this inverted cowboy until you could figure out how to turn him back to normal.

Getting to know Ness, letting him into your place is one great mistake because after a while you begin to experience series of minor annoyances that do not really affect your day but are still nuisances to go through with. Regardless of sharing a place or not, once he sets foot, he'll be like a vampire invited in to a place-- a permanent part of it forever, his presence there so expected to have around, after a while you won't even bat an eye.

Ness is infatuated with you, knowing your routines by heart now. On the days you'll be having a bath, he 'happens' to come over and more often than not walks into the bathroom to wash his hands. Nothing weird about wanting to clean the dirt of the street off when you arrive home, and from the corner of your eye you've watched him enough times to know he is not peeking at you, so it's fine, right?

It just happens not rarely but often than the central heating system will be off. Knowing he is there, you'll call out to him but to no avail, he won't hear. The bathroom is by the end of the house, with the door closed and a little distance, it's only normal he doesn't hear you- so you'll have to get out naked, putting on the bathrobe while shivering, and asking him to check the system-- or the door covering your body as he hears and makes his way to you, catching a sight of your shoulders covered in droplets of water, glistening under the lights.

Things aren't misplaced entirely but slightly off. for the furniture you have to bend often- refusing his helps, saying you don't want to tire him, small trinkets and items always a little far back, by the right, left-- you can tell either something is off or you've gotten more forgetful recently. Ness always chirps up immediately, suggesting certain things to add to your meals to strenghten your memory.

Fresh batches of your favorite fruits become a struggle to find in your nearby markets- but Ness always shows up with them, as if sensing your cravings. When you pop a fruit into your mouth in one go, eyes closed in absolute bliss and humming, you make sure to thank him, mutter about how lucky you are to have him and he blushes as red as the strawberries. scratching the back of his head, eyes avoiding yours, he says he happened upon a farmer's market, or a local sale by his area. That he was just lucky, you being his charm.

You don't really need to know whenever he leaves your place, he always purchases the fresh batches of your favorite fruits at your area. You don't really need to know about the other things either.

It's not like he is harming you after all, is he? Not manipulating you nor affecting your life negatively, he isn't conditioning you to depend on him either, these are all things you could fix on your own- it just happens, his presence eases things up, fastens the process. These are just minor things one can bite the bullet and live through. It's not like he is doing to you what someone else did to him.

You see, Ness likes to be of help. In fact, it's his purpose so to speak. he likes of being use to you, of being your support, the column of your home. You always smile sweetly and hug him thightly, there are sparks flying in your eyes and when your body is pressed against his, he can smell you on him for hours, saving your scent to his memory.

He knows, this isn't the healthiest way to go, but it's not that there is harm for the both of you in this. He was made to be like this, he was grown and shaped to be like this. It's not like it's the same as what it used to be with kaiser, after all. There is no imbalance at play here, just sweet, lovely, delightful you who happens to need Ness' help and Ness who is always more than happy to be at service for you.

"Can I have a fry?" Eddie asked with his mouth half full of the last fry he'd stolen off Steve's plate.

"Why didn't you just get your own fries?" Steve asked, handing him a fry from his plate.

"Because I only wanted a couple and you always share with me," Eddie shoved the fry into his mouth.

That was true; Steve always shared his food when they were having their usual date night at the diner. In fact, he pretty much only got fries because he knew Eddie would want some.

He preferred just eating his turkey club sandwich and smiling over at Eddie who always ordered two milkshakes because he could never decide on a flavor, a cheeseburger, onion rings that he complained were soggy every time, and a chef salad for balance.

Eddie never finished his food, or the milkshakes, but he always finished Steve's fries.

So it became an unspoken routine, something Steve wasn't even sure Eddie noticed even after months of doing it. Robin said he was a sap for doing it, but he didn't care.

"How's the chocolate shake?" Steve asked as Eddie dipped another stolen fry into it. "Good with the fries?"

"Yeah, but the strawberry is better. They didn't add extra chocolate syrup this time," Eddie half-pouted, as if he didn't complain about their lack of chocolate in the chocolate shake every time he ordered it.

"Can I have a sip of your Coke?" Eddie asked after another minute of stealing fries from Steve's plate.

Steve wordlessly handed his cup over, surprised it took him this long to ask for it. He usually asked way before he'd even started on the fries.

Eddie, as expected, took a few large sips, almost draining the rest of the drink.

"Why doesn't the waitress ever bring us napkins?" Eddie asked as he set the cup back down in front of Steve.

Steve handed him one of the napkins he'd grabbed from the table they passed on the way to their own. The waitress did always forget to bring them, so Steve prepared.

"You're so good to me," Eddie smirked, brushing his foot against Steve's ankle under the table.

Steve was pretty sure the waitress knew what was going on between them and just hadn't bothered to say anything, and the rest of the diner was empty. Their date night was pretty late, right after Eddie's Hellfire night with the kids that always seemed to go longer and longer. It was damn near midnight now, most of the town in bed, the rest up to no good somewhere else.

It was peaceful, being here with Eddie like this.

It was a look at a future they could have, at least a version of it, though neither of them planned on staying in Hawkins forever.

Steve slid his plate of the few remaining fries over to Eddie and wiped his hands on his napkin. "Finish 'em. I'm done."

"You didn't even eat any," Eddie pointed out before grabbing another one.

"Wasn't that hungry, I guess."

"Mhm," Eddie smirked knowingly, but didn't comment further.

"All set for the bill?" The waitress came by to ask, tapping her pen against the pad of paper. "Who gets it tonight?"

Eddie pointed at Steve, like he did every single week they did this.

Steve took the bill from her hand like he did every single week.

He pulled out his wallet, grabbed the $10 in cash he always kept there for date night, and handed it back to her.

Eddie waited until she walked away to pull out his wallet, grabbing $2 for a tip.

"You know at some point, you may have to actually pay for a date," Steve said as he slipped his jacket on.

"Maybe," Eddie shrugged, like he knew Steve loved paying for their date, made him feel like he could provide. Eddie joked it was his inner caveman. "Maybe I'll just take us on a nice road trip with all this money I'm savin'."

"Oh?" Steve froze.

Eddie looked back at him, beaming smile.

"Yeah. Next month sound good to you? A tour of diners across the midwest. Every night is date night. All my treat," Eddie suggested, like he'd already had this planned for a while. "I'd love to steal your fries in new places, Stevie."

Steve felt himself blushing, somehow always surprised at the lengths Eddie went to to make him feel so loved.

"Sounds like a date."

It’s been a hot minute as always but I just got back from vacay and honestly I have so many ideas. But since Soobin is on a bit of a health break there is one idea I really want to write to completion.

You offer to hug him and jump over the table and he won’t let go of you. Finding peace in your embrace. 🫂

Option 2: angst with boyfriend Soobin who tends to put everything and everyone else before you. Forgetting a long awaited date night to rehearse a surprise show with Arin. He tried to make it up to you but his attention is elsewhere. 😭

Hi everyone! This December will mark the 10th anniversary of Korra and Asami walking hand in hand into the Spirit Portal and changing the animation game forever. Korrasami means so much to so many people, so let's give them the celebration they deserve💖

Here's a general idea of what to expect and when:

My second brain: Obsidian

(I've been meaning to make this post for a while now, so here's my favorite studying software)

So I’ve been using Obsidian as a way to organize all my thoughts and notes, and it’s honestly like having a second brain at this point. It’s been super helpful in keeping track of what I’m learning and seeing how everything is connected.

My Setup

I’ve based my system on the Zettelkasten method, which is all about breaking ideas down into small, manageable notes that can link to each other. I learned about it from a super helpful YouTuber, morganeua. If you're curious, definitely check out her videos!

I use tags to organize my notes, and for each class (or big topic), I have one main note that links to all the related notes. It makes it super easy to find things when I need them.

And the graph view? Amazing. It shows all my notes as little dots that connect to each other, so I can literally see how different ideas are linking up. And the more notes I add, the more connections I see—it’s like watching my brain map itself out in real time!

Seeing Connections

What I love about Obsidian is that it pushes me to connect topics or ideas I wouldn’t normally realize are related. Like, I’ve linked things from my physics classes to stuff I’m working on in philosophy or personal projects. It’s made me much more aware of what I’m learning and how it ties into everything else.

It’s easy to forget that knowledge doesn’t exist in its own little vacuum, but this process reminds me of that. Plus, it’s super satisfying when find those connections, it's like a lightbulb going off in my head. I feel like I’m building this network of knowledge that keeps growing as I learn more.

Why It’s So Rewarding

There’s something really cool about seeing all your notes come together, especially when you didn’t expect them to. It makes learning feel more connected and meaningful. I’m not just writing things down and forgetting about them—it’s more like everything is part of this bigger picture. And that keeps me motivated to keep going.

It’s baking day. Your kitchen is stolid with the heat of the oven and the treats cooling on the counter. Your apartment has been converted into a pseudo chocolate factory; though you wouldn’t claim Wonka’s glory. You are certain to keep to food-safe standards however and so your morning began with sanitization, another two hours on top of a long day. 

It’s a few weeks out to the next show; a local festival that hosts all sorts of local shops, though the biggest attraction are the musical acts. Even so, you’re hustling as best as you can. You spent a portion of the baking show profit to get a kiosk in the mall for the holiday weekend. It’s a big deal, you expect a crowd and now you have an idea of how much you’ll need to bring. 

You sigh as you tally up what you have so far. You’ll be in the kitchen all week at this rate and you don’t think even then you’ll meet your set quota. You’ll still do well but you can’t help the echo of that man’s words. You’re hitting a wall on your own. 

And you’re running low on red cacao. You frown at the slack canvas bag. That’s another trip to the bulk seller down by the freeway but that’s so far out, it’ll eat at least an hour and a half off your day.  

He’s right. That pompous snakish man is right. You can’t keep up with the demand.  

No, you can. You’ll bake into the night if you have to. It’ll be cooler then, anyhow. You inventory your cupboards as the oven radiate with heat. You have a list. Tomorrow you can get to that but for now, you’ll start packaging the chocolates in the fridge. 

You count out the truffles and fudge squares precisely. Each one in a sleeve or a box. You’ll add all the little details later; a ribbon, a bow, a seal. You yawn at the repetition but aren’t bored by it. Having your own business isn’t exactly dull, if anything it’s tantalizingly stressful. 

Your tablet dings as the baking show you keep on stream quiets for the notification. The woman’s voice returns to full volume as you approach to check the icon in the margin. It’s from your online shop front. Between the physical work, you can’t forget about the healthy tide of orders coming in virtually. 

It adds to the weight on your shoulders. You slump and drag down the notification bar. It’s large order and before you can skim each item, another notification sweeps in. You tap the inquiry so that the message opens.  

The inquiry is labeled with the same order number that just came up. You squint. ‘...requires in-person to order address...’ You don’t do that. It isn’t an option but the customer’s tone comes of insistent even over text. They promise a gratuity and underline that they did pay for the expedited option. 

That’s the first position you’re hiring when you can make the space. A customer service representative because you hate this. You go back to review the full order. It’s a lot; a lot of baking and a lot of money. 

You’ll have to make it work yet there’s this needling voice in the back of your head, slithering and sharp, you can’t keep this up forever.

Surely, it’s the wrong address.

You idle in your large SUV, the nearly two-decade old model puttering between the sleek modern cars the fill the spaces outside the luxurious storefront. You gulp as you peer up at the moniker. You recognise the brand and the logo. 

Black Snake. It’s some sort of trick. You should have been suspicious.

The chocolatier isn’t unknown to you beyond your encounter with its owner. While the headquarters are nestled right at the heart of your city, there are locations across the country and even a few international. The local start-up boomed onto the front page and you can’t say it had nothing to do with your own come up. You offer a more affordable option with the same premium taste. 

You suppose he doesn’t like the competition. You wouldn’t either but you put yourself out there against the Black Snake monopoly knowing you would be trudging uphill. You get out and try not to think too much. 

You unlock the hatch and take out the large box stamped with your business name; Sweet Nothings. You approach the front door, trying to see through the tinted windows that form the front wall, and it opens before you can reach it. Shoot, he’s expecting you. 

“Ah, right on time,” Loki greets as he checks his watch. “I see you’ve no branding on your vehicle.” 

You try not to cringe. He has an eye for detail. You bite down on your smile. 

“Hello again,” you try to act like his foreboding hasn’t haunted you for a week, “I have everything in here--” 

“I didn’t see a reselling clause on your terms of service,” he proclaims smugly, “these should be popular.” 

“Ah,” you hesitate as he steps out of the door to hold it open for you, “you’ve paid so I guess I can’t stop you.” 

“Mm, and how is business then? You are quick to respond. Can’t be very hectic, then.” 

You take the jab like a weathered boxer. You don’t flinch, you just keep going. You stride inside and look around. You carry the box to the empty space the counter. 

“As promised, I will transfer a fee for your trouble,” he follows quickly. 

“Thanks, uh, I should--” you face him as he blocks your path. 

“You’ve a pop-up. This coming weekend.” 

The advert is at the top of your online shop. Of course, he would know. His diligence is starting to eke you out. 

“I do,” you confirm, “so I should be off.” 

“Yes, you have much work to do. Tell me, how many ovens do you have going?” 

Your expression falls, “you spent all this money to mock me?” 

“No, I’m simply discussing business. Seeing as I am experienced, I thought I might offer some sage advice,” he flutters his long fingers. 

“I appreciate that, really, but I am running a business, same as you, so if you would like to discuss that, you are more than welcome to make a proper appointment with me. Like a business person.”

“I didn’t see that option on the store front,” he counters.

Winter. Most people love that season. Snow, shiny streets decorated with lights, hot chocolate, families reunited to decorate the house, cozy clothes… And what couples love: cuddling without melting because of the high temperatures the summer brings, holding hands, sleeping together.

Sounds cute, amazing, beautiful.

Unless you are single.

When you are single, you won't have someone to give you body heat, or to get your hand warm while you walk on the street. Instead of that, you have to wear gloves, scarfs and warm clothes.

I never wanted this to happen. I never wanted to be in this situation, wishing I was her. Everytime they got cozy on the couch, I wished it was me who he was holding. Everytime they walked in front of me, I wish it was my hand the one he's holding and keeping warm in the pocket of his coat.

But sadly, I have a crush on my best friend's boyfriend. It wasn't on purpose. Harry and I started college the same year and both of us were in the same classes, sharing tables and after the first months studying, sharing a group of friends. We were the link of our group, the ones that introduced our friends to the others.

And that's how Eloise met Harry.

Eloise was my childhood best friend, my neighbor, my forever supporter on everything I did, the one that was always behind me with a hand on my back and pushing me to follow my dreams.

Except that one time. But it wasn't her fault.

I knew she liked Harry and he liked Eloise. The moment they met for the first time, I felt how something changed, I felt how Harry couldn't stop looking at her, how his smile was bigger whenever he heard her talk or laugh.

That's why I had to take a step back and let them be happy together, even if it meant that I had to swallow my own feelings and watch how they fell in love with each other.

The winter vacations were getting closer and with that the plans of shopping gifts and decorations started. The last class before the vacations officially started was longer that it looked, time flew very slow and all of us were counting down the seconds to grab our things and leave the campus.

“Do you have something planned with your family?” Harry asked me, talking low.

“No, actually “ I sighed. “I won't go home for Christmas Eve. Eloise asked me to go to the trip you planned”

“Oh, right” he nodded. “The guys will go too”

“Yeah, she told me” I nodded. “Who will go, by the way?”

“Well… Max and Pietra, Lando…” he started to count, making me him and pay attention to the teacher again.

Or at least, look like I was paying attention.

Harry's group of friends is everything but normal. Max and Lando were always there, his childhood friends that met during his short period of kart racing when they were just seven years. While Harry decided to focus on his studies and start a career to follow the steps of his father, Max and Lando continued with their passion for motorsport, but only Lando could make it to the final level, to Formula 1.

“Lando? The season is already finished?” I asked, typing some things on my laptop.

“Yeah, it did some weeks ago” he nodded.

“Ah, nice”

Lando Norris. I rarely talked with him. Every time our group hangs out, he's always with Max and Pietra. What we say to the other is the basic two people from the same group can say. Sure, we texted to congratulate our own personal wins and our birthdays, or even to give details whenever he invited us to some races so each one of us could have their own paddock pass.

“When are we leaving?” I asked. “I have to make my suitcase”

“Then do it when you arrive home because we are leaving in two days” he chuckled, making me frown.

“Oh, okay” I nodded.

In two days. And my birthday will be in the middle of the trip?

When the teacher ended the class I packed my backpack, putting the laptop inside of it as well as my notebook. I saw Harry looking at his phone with a smile and I immediately knew he was texting Eloise.

“I'll send you the details, okay? Lando took care of the plane” Harry said, and I just hummed in response.

I hung the backpack on my left shoulder and walked out, grabbing my phone and getting out of the classroom.

Everyone ran through the corridors, excited to finally leave the classes and have free days for some weeks before going back to bury their noses on the books to study again.

The streets are cold, freaking cold. With only two minutes out of the building, my nose is as cold as an ice cube and the need of wrapping the scarf around my throat makes me smile, feeling the warm material caressing the skin of my cheeks. Only a ten minutes walk and then I'll be at home, where I can change my clothes for cozy ones and drink a warm coffee while reading a book.

I was excited for the trip. It's been a long time since all of us went on a trip. Since Lando is always working around the globe, planning something for all of us was hard. Max and Pietra are always together, if one can go the other will join, they go as a pack unless Max has to do things with Lando's eSports team Quadrant. Harry and I have basically the same schedule, working on the last year of our master to finally have the title of our career.

The group chat was already working, sending messages to check if everything was ready, asking the last details for the trip.

Then I saw a text from another chat. Lando.

Lando Norris: You want to have a single room?

Violet Sinclair: Wow, thank you for reminding me how single I am.

I sigh, rolling my eyes and leaving my phone on my nightstand while I changed my clothes.

Lando and I are the only ones that are single in the group. Which is kinda a relief, because I'm moments where the six of us hang out together, at least I know that I won't be alone watching how two couples are cozy in front of me.

The list of rooms reserved was shown on the screen in front of me. Two double rooms and two single rooms.

When Max mentioned that Violet was going to come on the trip after Eloise asked her, I immediately started to search for a place to stay for a week for all of us.

It was my turn to organize the trip, last summer it was Max who did it, even if not all of us went. But this time Violet was coming with us instead of staying with her family or in her apartment to study. At least, she won't be alone during her birthday.

Violet befriended Harry when they started college, and the moment he introduced her to Max and I, it was immediate love at first sight. The moment I saw her walk inside Harry's apartment and her golden hair held on a ponytail wave with every step she made closer to me, I fell hard for her.

But the moment I saw how she looked at Harry, I knew I had zero chances with her.

Even if her best friend dated Harry, she couldn't stop looking at him with adoration, a way sometimes I wished she could look at me.

I never liked being in a love triangle, it always brings trouble, more if it's inside a group of friends. But I couldn't help but feel that way.

“Mate, are you really going to be alone? You won't bring that girl from Raya?” Max asked, walking inside my streaming room and looking at the screen.

“For what? To make things more uncomfortable than they are already going to be with two couples?” I laughed, trying to lock my phone and making sure he doesn't see my chat with Violet.

“I mean, you are always complaining that you are single…” he sighed.

“I won't make Violet be uncomfortable too” I said, raising my shoulders and rolling my eyes.

“So it's because of her?” he smirked, making me roll my eyes and turn around the chair.

It's always because of her.

I made a profile on a dating app, because of her. I flirt with girls, because of her. I try to be at parties, because of her.

Because it is the least I can do to try to forget a woman that will never want me. And no matter how hard the effort is, my mind always crawls back at her.

So yeah, I do many stupid things because of her.

The last stupid thing was buying the book she talked about with Eloise during one of our game nights, sending it to her without a name of who sent it on the package. But at least, I knew she liked it and she was happy because she had it on the coffee table of her living room the day some of us went to her apartment to help her build a new library for her books.

“Harry, Eloise and Violet will take the plane in two days” I told Max. “We can go from here by train”

Max and Pietra came to Monaco a few days ago after I returned back to Monaco once the season was over. I wanted to rest, to forget about the speed and the cars. I needed to disconnect and I knew that spending time with my friends was what I needed the most.

“I'm going to buy some things” I said, getting up from the chair. “You need something?”

“If you buy dinner on your way home, that would be great” he nodded, walking out of the room and going to the guests room.

I sighed and nodded, grabbing a coat and the keys of one of my cars, driving to the mall of Monaco.

Violet's birthday will be during the trip, and I didn't want to go with my hands empty. A few days ago I saw something she would like, so I decided to buy it for her.

It was a necklace of a violet, the flower, and a book.

If there's something that can describe Violet is her passion for books. Her apartment is not big, it only has two rooms, a bathroom and an open kitchen that shares space with the living room. What is supposed to be a guest's room, is her library but with a bed on it. It's full of books, and it makes me proud to say that the books I secretly buy for her are between those shelves.

“Is this what you want?” the shop assistant said, showing me the necklace. “That girl must be lucky, this is a beautiful piece of jewelry. What a lucky girlfriend”

“Yeah…” I nodded.

If only the girlfriend part was true…

Going back home after buying some other things was exhausting. I had to buy clothes for the trip as well as dinner for Max, Pietra and me. But the fact that I had a bag with Violet's present just made me happy.

This would be the first time that I was going to be with her during her birthday, because over the last years she always went with her family to celebrate it with them.

Just when I got inside the elevator with the bags, my phone received a notification.

Violet💜: I forgot to ask, how many days are we going to stay there?

I smiled looking at the text, immediately answering her after leaving the bags on the floor.

Lando Norris: A week, I reserved a house for all of us.

Violet💜: you did? You reserved everything by yourself? How much I owe you?

Lando Norris: It's okay, it was my turn to plan the trip. Don't worry about the money

Violet💜: you sure?

Lando Norris: a hundred percent sure

“Who got you smiling like that?” Max asked when he saw me opening the door.

“What? No one!”

Lie after lie. Why can't I be honest with him? Why can't I say that I'm in love with Violet? Maybe it's because I prefer saving it to myself rather than someone having pity on me because I want someone that doesn't care about me, that wants another man.

I prefer living on my own fantasies and illusions than accepting the fact that Violet is untouchable and I will never have her.

More Poirot/Marple (Marplot) crossovers are on the way, also featuring other detectives! I'm happy you've enjoyed them, they're some of my fave gif sets to make, especially the whole process of matching different scenes from the Poirot and Marple tv shows to make it look like they came from the same scene. :) Like with my other more time-consuming gif sets, I put all the ideas and matching screencaps in a special folder and eventually there are enough sweet little scenes/moments to fit a gif set! And I add context to the filenames themselves so I don't forget months later what the idea was, like "Poirot looks at Marple who is sitting down.jpg", which is especially important if you want their eyelines to match (they're both looking in the right direction and/or into each other's eyes, depending on the scene).

They're a great detective duo! I adore the idea of Poirot trying to make Miss Marple laugh (she is very giggly on the show <3) or listening with rapt attention to her "something like this has happened years ago in St Mary Mead" parallels that tie back to their current case and are always on point. Poirot LOVES the way she thinks, she is a treasure of knowledge, a great judge of character and fellow observer of people; all traits she shares with Poirot.

The most recent one I've made was with Geraldine McEwan's version of Marple, after several past crossovers with Julia McKenzie's here and here, and this even older one from 2019, and an ancient one with them on the beach from 2016.

Is the first one linked (from 2022) the one you saw? :) It's my Pinned post and tumblr flagged it with the 'Content Label' for no reason and even though I've put it under review weeks ago, it's still flagged, I doubt tumblr has had the chance to look at it and unflag it. The same thing is happening to countless gif makers and creators, on perfectly innocent gif sets, but tumblr doesn't have enough staff to take care of the problem. In my case it's literally THE gif set that best represents my tumblr and the algorithm wants to hide it. It took me years to come up with all the moments for the particular crossover. Hopefully the Content Label matter will be resolved soon as I'm planning more crossovers and don't want them hidden after months or years of trying to manifest them!

Luckily, tumblr didn't flag my newest fanmade detective crossover with Columbo and Murder, She Wrote! It was such a delight to make! Columbo and Jessica Fletcher being badass crime-solving besties is right up my alley and it goes hand in hand with the concept of Marplot. I don't know what the portmanteau would be for them, though. Any ideas? :) Name-meshing can be tricky, I came up with "Marplot" years ago because I needed a name for tagging purposes and the nickname rolled off the tongue nicely. ColumboSheWrote? Columbofletcher? Columfletcher? Fletchumbo? I like Fletchumbo coz it's kind of silly yet FUN. :D
