When I found out Paramount+ was removing Star Trek: Prodigy I bought all 20 episodes of S1 from Amazon Video since that was the only way for me to watch all 20 at the time. On 6/27, I lost access to episodes 10-20. Amazon has done what they can, which isn't much.

All 20 were accessible when I paid for all 20. The full season is what I was buying. Now, I only have access to 9 of the episodes.

What is the point of buying digital content if they're just going to steal it back from you afterwards?! Is this not false advertisement?

There’s a troubling train of thought I see some places online- some people think Kanye is being cancelled because he pissed off the “wrong people” (Jews.) That kind of thinking, though often unintentional, still furthers the antisemitic lie that the Jews are the ones “in charge” in some way. it’s the fact that these shows are getting so little time before cancellation, warrior nun got a month, tbs&tdh got 42 days - no one has TIME to watch shows at the moment, you can’t make a decision on that little time frame and claim no one is watching the show. these platforms were supposed to be a solution that allows you to watch things on your own time, not marathon stuff in a doomed desperate attempt to keep it going & thus squeezing most of the joy out of watching it anyway

Still so incredibly pissed off about the My Lady Jane and Acolyte cancellations. These were 8 episode shows released maybe 2 months ago with pretty limited marketing. And they were expected to get blockbuster level views? What irritates me the most is that they had good reviews, TIKTOK was losing their minds editing these shows. But it wasn’t popular enough? Wasn’t liked enough? Bullshit.

8 episodes are simply not enough to create a well rounded show. Sorry. And only giving a show two months before pulling the plug? What really bothers me with Amazon prime is that Maxton Hall had almost the same level of success and attention that My Lady Jane did but that show is getting a second season? Not griping about it because I also loved Maxton Hall but? Make it make sense.

Now as for Disney. You finally release a good show, an interesting show, a show headed in a new direction and say nah? Disney is locked in this idea that the only way to make a successful show is by playing the nostalgia factor. Okay well the nostalgia factor is good and dead so quit beating it. Kenobi? Made for nostalgia. Boring. Ashoka? Made for nostalgia. Boring. (Not hating on these shows they just didn’t do it for me and it felt like they were only created to tug on nostalgia strings rather than created to tell a story.) The Acolyte was the first Star Wars media I have actively enjoyed since Rouge One. And it’s not even being given a chance.

I’m also going to real quick bring up The Artful Dodger. I loved that show and it was really well done. But again it was only 8 episodes. And I guess it was only marketed as a mini feature? So 8 episodes is all we were gonna get from the start? What the fuck was the point of that? If you’re gonna do that why not make it a fully fledged season so you can really give the characters the closure they deserve? The closure the audience deserves? Ending an 8 episode season that was only ever intended to be 8 episodes open ended is honestly just stupid. Wrap it up guys don’t leave the possibility for a season 2 cause then people will ask for it.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Prodigy is not canceled as it was picked up by Netflix. Prodigy is alive and streaming now.

Side Note: In the interest of fairness, it's worth mentioning Star Trek: The Next Generation was almost canceled after 2 seasons due to low viewership, and Star Trek: Picard was only ever intended to have 3 seasons.

When I made this, I researched each show & the reasons they ended. There may be some conflicting articles tho. I'm irritated by how Paramount handles their IP. if I have something incorrect, I'll gladly fix it. I have PLENTY of other reasons to bad mouth Paramount. lol

Follow up to the OwONekko Situation

Okay so there's now an update to the Situation

So after Nondi(OwONekko) uploaded her ai video a few youtubers made videos about the situation most notably a youtuber by the name of Jouusta and in Jo's video she respectfully criticizes and critiques Nondi's video about AI without being rude or mean even as going as far to say she RESPECTS Nondi as a fellow artist

Jo's video gained almost 300k views This prompted many youtubers to make their own videos about the situation and many people became aware of the situation however there were some people who took things too far and started straight up harassing nondi and to be fair the people who were harassing her for the sake of hating on her are such disgusting pricks however what im about to show next I can NOT stand by so as I said Jo's video gained a lot of attention and prompted many youtubers to make their own videos on the situation nondi obviously caught wind of this and moments later as a Response to Jo Nondi Goes Live Uploading This:

Which is Funny Beacuse in Nondi's Video about AI she LITERALLY said that she "doesn't like bigger youtubers hurting or telling smaller artists what to do" which is EXACTLY what she's doing! Nondi is a massive hypocrite someone respectfully criticizes and critiques Nondi's video and THIS IS HOW SHE RESPONDS??? She is a GROWN ASS WOMAN who knew DAMN WELL what's she's doing especially when she went live with that

and recently it's been found out that she was being Allegedly transphobic to the artist that prompted her to make her ai video beacuse it was found out that the artist went by he/them pronouns but nondi referred to him as she/her nondi did state that she did not know that information HOWEVER she still continued to refer to the artist with the wrong pronouns instead of the right ones which is he/them which is transphobic and really fucked up to be fair she didn't know but again even after she said that she didn't know the gender of the artist she was misgendering she still continued to refuse his pronouns and started deleting comments correctly calling out and correcting nondi

At this point Nondi needs to bust out the ukulele and sing beacuse it's her only hope

Or better yet she needs to get her asscheeks off the internet and actually stay offline for a while beacuse she's acting very immature and childish and as of this moment she's lost over nearly 20,000+ subscribers and the sub count is getting lower and lower(deservingly) beacuse is not appropriate behavior beacuse the last time someone used their platform in this fashion her statement went down as the most worst statement on Youtube

Nondi should not be any different which is why it shocks me that there are a select few people defending this. Nondi is not a victim she was rightfully called out but instead of being an adult she pulls a colleen ballinger and spins the whole thing on her critics and blaming THEM for HER actions I do not stand behind this and I no longer support nondi

And( with the last tiny drop of respect i have for her beacuse respect left the door as soon as she did this) She respectfully needs to get off the internet for a while or just entirely beacuse nondi is digging her career's grave and may never bounce back from this
