According to VOUGE the 2014 tumblr girl is back, and I’m all in for it! So I’ve done my research and put together the ultimate 2014 tumblr girl guide! (To all of you from the 2014 era, comment more tips please, let’s help each other!):

STARBUCKS !! The ultimate it girl drink at this time is obviously the pink Frappuccino !! Starbucks is IT and we DRINK PINK!

NEVER pass a PALM TREE without taking a picture!! And ALWAYS add a 2014 vibe filter to all the pics you take !!

VICTORIA’S SECRET is IT!! You obviously collect on the lipglosses at this time and wear the perfumes, body lotions and of course own the Pyjamas that the angels wore!!

the LEG PICS in cute Pyjamas and bedsheets !! We post leg pics when our legs look like “hot dogs”. Yes that’s right ! We want our legs to look like the “hot dog legs trend” and we post them in cute Pyjamas while sitting at adorable bedsheets!

You listen to one direction and Ariana grande is it !! U can also listen to Taylor swift.

The animal cracker (or other scents) body wash and scented candles!! We love scented candles and especially holiday themed products!!

BUCKET LISTS !! Of course u made multiple bucket lists and took help from the tumblr blog bucketlistforgirls who posted pictures with text on it to beschrieb the bucket list, it could be as basic as drinking from a coconut to bigger things, do a bucket list w friends in the beginning of summer and then see what u completed!!

What is Grunge?

Grunge is described as "A darker, edgier style that is usually depicted these days with glitches, vinyl records, cigarettes, neon lights, and the color black (which is only loosely related to the original grunge). Historically, the original grunge movement has its roots in the 1990s hard rock scene of Seattle, Washington. It was a countercultural, anti-consumerism youth movement and music genre that defined Generation X. Grunge fashion was made popular by bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden, and was meant to be timeless and quite casual." (source)

2014 Tumblr Grunge, to me, is like the original 1990s grunge but more love sick teenage girls, teenage rebellion and dyed hair. This type of grunge is what this guide is going to focus on.

The Fashion

This is what I found on multiple websites. I have split it up into different categories. Remember, this isn't what you HAVE to wear to be called grunge. This is what grunge fashion is usually. The good thing about grunge is that it's made to be cheap, you can get grunge fashion stuff from thrift/charity shops, family members, etc.

Heyy, Angels! I love having cute sleepovers with my BFF. It can be hard to have ideas for sleepovers. I want you guys to know some of my favorite things to do at sleepovers along with some new ideas of my own. Grab your pencil and journal. Lets get our cute sleepovers planned. Enjoy!

Go to a coffee shop

Dress up in a cute outfit. Bring a bag with a book and study supplies. Walk to your local coffee shop and try each others favorite drink. Talk to your friend about life and chill.

Paint nails

Put on cozy socks and cute face masks. Play you and your friends favorite show. Me and my friend watch Pretty little liars! If you don't have a favorite show you both like I recommend looking!

movie & popcorn

What's your favorite movie? Mines Coraline. watch each other's favorite movies and microwave some popcorn. Relax and grab blankets and pillows!

Learn a dance

Learn a dance choreography off of YouTube! Have fun and don"t be afraid to mess up. when you guys are done show the dance to a sibling or parent.

Deep talk

Get serious with your friend. Tell each other secrets and about things that you don"t think you have ever told anyone about yourself. Friends keep secrets.

Go to the mall

Go to the mall! Me and my BFF love going to barns and noble and Starbucks. whats your favorite store in the mall?

Get dressed up in your cutest outfits. take tons of photos. If you need ideas look at Pinterest! Print your favorite photos at the end for memories.

Step One:

Shop at the right places! You need to be looking for off-the-shoulder tops and lacy tanks, as well as low-rise jeans/leggings and lots of pink colors! You can cop some good finds at Forever 21, Victoria’s Secret, Pink, or Shein! Don’t forget to pick up some Juicy Couture at your local Ross or TJ Maxx! Find some pink summer perfumes along the way 👛👚🩷

Step Two:

Keep your nails and makeup looking fresh. When getting your nails done, use pinks, whites, and blacks. You can never go wrong with a 2014-themed mustache, stripes, or a black bow for detail!

As for makeup… baddie with the brows is in. Fill in your brows boldly to match your iconic eyeshadow look + bronzed skin. The best inspo for these types of looks is by referencing “King Kylie” era makeup on Pinterest or via TikTok tutorials 💄

Step Three:

Go out and have fun! Go shopping and cafe-hopping with your friends, and get the girliest things on the menu! Starbucks is always a good place for a cute dragonfruit refresher🥤

Make some TikTok or Instagram posts and redesign your feed to fit the 2010s tumblr aesthetic. You can always find inspo on Pinterest!

If you don’t have any friends to have the perfect throwback day with, Bumble BFF is a great place to find potential besties in your area!

Step Four:

Listen to the right music. You need to feel like you’re living your best life in 2016 Los Angeles. Old Justin Bieber, Kesha, Halsey, Chainsmokers, and so much more!
