DAY 14 (07/04/23)
Study - 1/12 😢
Walk - ❌
Reading - ❌
Day 14 was rather unremarkable based on productivity but on the bright side, I mapped out a plan to cover my syllabus before 22nd May (D-Day!)
12 hours study is crucial for my success at this moment considering how much behind I am from my peers.
I have having problem being motivated and am procrastinating a lot.
I read on the internet that procrastination is just a symptom of anxiety.
And I realise I’ve been rather anxious about my exam. I want to genuinely pass it with highest grades but since I’ve so less time and the class notes have faded from my memory with time, I’ve started to become very anxious.
But, here’s the thing my therapist told me - anxiety will lead to nothing.
So, I’ve decided to not again focus on the exam until it’s like a week away, instead focus all my energy on everyday, every hour, every second.
Success is making every second of your life count.
Hence, I promise today to everyone and most importantly, to myself, that I’m gonna spend every moment from now onwards - smiling, happily, PRODUCTIVELY and HONESTLY.
I’ll wake up in the morning with a smile and vigour to solve Physics Questions. Bathe in the morning rays of sun while being mesmerised in the beauty of physics, then wreak my brain until it’s bleeding with charm of Mathematics. Spend time with my brother and belt out my favourite songs, until it’s evening when I prepare myself for a beautiful ride with Chemistry.
(That has got to be the most geekiest thing everrr)
But, somewhere they said -
You need to have a dream much greater than your final destination.
So, I’ve changed my dream from nailing my exams to just waking up with a smile and studying everyday without fail.

Daily Routine:
1. Exercise:
5 days a week: 30 minutes of exercise (mix of cardio, strength training, and flexibility exercises)
2 rest days: Focus on stretching or light activity like walking
2. Reading:
Read for 30 minutes daily: Aim to complete one book every 10 days
3. Diet and Weight Loss:
Follow a balanced diet: Track your meals and aim to create a calorie deficit
Weigh yourself weekly: Monitor progress towards losing 5 kg
4. Academic Goals:
Prepare for and complete: 3 exams or major academic tasks
Study: Dedicate 1 hour daily to review or work on academic assignments
5. Personal Growth:
Daily Acts of Kindness: Perform at least one kind act towards others each day (e.g., complimenting someone, helping a colleague, or offering support)
Reflect: Spend 10 minutes each evening reflecting on your interactions and how you can improve them

- Week 5: Check on weight loss progress, finish the fourth book, and review academic progress, and enhance personal interactions
- Week 6: Complete the fifth book, prepare for the remaining exams, and finalize weight loss goal. Reflect on overall personal growth and behavior improvements

26/50 days of productivity
Today was my first day reviewing for my second protohistory exam. I struggled to focus I will be honest. Even though I am pretty comfortable with most of the materials (there's a couple of more specific things I will definitely have to review a bit more) I just struggled to stay on the page. My mind keeps wandering. I am really tired and it's starting to show. I can't wait for this to be over, so that I'll be able to take a few days off. I still plan to study for a few weeks after my exam, even though I won't be taking the third one I had planned for July. I realized that the materials are just too many for me to finish working on it in time, so I'll take that in September. I still want to get all the work done in advance so that in September I'll only have to review it. But before all of this I will definitely reward myself with a couple of days off to recharge. I am so tired I can't even read my book during the day, because I simply don't have enough energy to focus on that. I wish I had new yarn to work on a new crochet project, because it would be the perfect hobby to fill my free time at the moment, but I haven't found the time to go buy it yet.
Productivity:
first complete protohistory review (which means I reread my notes, the ppts the professor used during his lectures and my notes and ppt for the presentation I did in class)
set up my bullet journal for next week (I am using super minimal weekly spreads atm and to be honest it's good enough)
set up my reading journal for June (did a very minimal cover page and monthly set up cause my energies are loooow)
practiced Irish on duolingo
continued listening to old episodes of the books unbound podcast
Self care:
read first thing in the morning

DAY 9 Targets -
Wake Up :- 9 am
(Almost impossible for me cause I stay awake at night and wake up late but the good ol' doctor said I should follow a more 'normal' schedule to improve both my physical and mental health {typing this at 2 am lol})
2. Mindfulness Meditation for 30 minutes
(Mediation helps me so much. I have crippling anxiety but doing mediation twice a day has helped me exercise control over my overthinking)
3. Thermodynamics Assignment :- 10 am - 2 pm
(This assignment constitute a lot of weightage in my final grade)
4. Sleep for a long long time - take a long needed restful sleep
(dealing with anxiety is hard - it has made me forget that sleeping feels like lol)

truth to be told, i'm feeling like i've hit rock bottom by my own hands and it's so hard to cling onto the idea that i, too, am worthy of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ's mercy. ups and downs. ups and downs. perhaps one of the best but the hardest things is the fact you gotta keep on going and living with yourself. hopefully tomorrow's post is more positive, in sha Allah.

i love love love the weekend, i attended a cultural event on saturday and spent the whole day with friends!!! i’ve also been studying physics and I do not like physics ahahaha
currently rereading pride & prejudice because I’ve wanted to do so ever since I watched the movie
