You know what sucks? Radical feminism (TREF) has so destroyed the opinion of feminism that every time as a feminist you have to explain that no, you are not anti-men, you are not anti-Arab, you are not anti-intersex, you are not anti-trans, thanks, radical feminists, for fucking up the lives of real feminists
I wish you an encounter with a truck or some shit

Even if Rowling wasn't completely off the holocaust denying deep-end, the way she wrote those wizard books kind of pisses me off now that i'm older because they have so much potential to be better than they actually were.
Like, middle school me was eating that shit up for a reason, you don't become one of the most popular authors in the world who created one of the most well-known pieces of literature in the world off of dumb luck. There were things she did right. Unfortunately , now that i'm older I can see everything she did wrong. And my writer's brain mixed with my ego is telling me that I could make it better.
Implant a heavier theme of the wizarding world's patronizing bullshit and entitlement. Like seriously, the complete unwarranted superiority complex that these chuckle fucks have is obnoxious beyond belief. Even middle school me knew that there was no good reason to keep magic away from the people they made up a slur for. Maybe that should have been the main theme of the books.
Seriously, it ties in so well with the evil wizard supremacy sublot. The solution to systemic discrimination is not to get rid of bigoted people. It's to tear down those systems entirely. The wizarding world seriously needs a status quo shake up.
Revamp the house elves or just cut them out entirely. Just don't fucking justify slavery. IT'S NOT THAT HARD!!!
Maybe this is lefist brain talking but do not make Harry grow up to be a fucking magic cop. In fact, I would have had made the Aurors be unbelievably awful and corrupt, just like a real cops!
Give the characters of color less racist names.
Stop describing your female villains as "mannish"
The greedy goblin banker theme is one of the most disgustingly antisemetic things i've ever had the displeasure of putting up with. What the fuck is wrong with you Joanne!? I would just cut that shit out.
The violent fatphobia grosses me out so much. When I was little I wanted Dudley to get a PROPER redemption arc so bad and not be abused for his weight. In fact , if I were Rowling, I would have added in a sublot about Dudley discovering his own magic to and having to unlearn the shit his parents taught him, as well as deal with their painful rejection of him. That would've been really cool.
Apparently lycanthropy was supposed to be a metaphor for HIV??? Ew, Joanne. No. It's like she never talked to a gay man in her life.
The "love" potions piss me off SO BAD. Voldemort's mother was not in love. She was a rapist. I would change that up entirely.
Snape is not a hero. He was an incel in a hate group. Acknowledge him as such and don't have Harry name his fucking kid after him.
Hey, quick question, why does the school have a blood supremacist house???? Why was this allowed??? Why did she write Slytherin to just be openly discriminatory towards mixed blood kids????
Whatever the dad Weasely's name is, I would have played off his whole "weeb for nonmagical people" thing as more patronizing and accidentally insensitive than endearing. He reminds me of white moms who say konichiwa to the waiter at Chinese restaurants and think they're "cultured".
For the love of god, treat the female characters other than Hermione with an OUNCE of respect.
Now that I know more about animal welfare and the exotic pet industry, Hagrid kinda gets on my nerves. I would add a sublot about him learning to respect the boundaries of wild animals.
I can't think of anything else that ticks me off about the books right now but I will come back to this if I do.

Tbh we should have known something was weird about Rowling, when she said that unicorns only like girls, because they are pure. This bugged me even when I was 8...

The funniest thing about JK Rowling writing a Polish female character and portraying her as a walking and breathing stereotype of Slavic women is that it's the same woman who:
was already heavily criticized for doing the same thing to other characters in her books, especially to Asian women, and apparently all it taught her is to DOUBLE DOWN on her xenophobic, uneducated and offensive portrayals of female characters
she really thinks she's some kind of feminist icon who protects women (and, to a lesser extent, gay people) from trans people while happily publishing content that reeks of misogyny
You can't make this shit up.

No minority was harmed with a game bro
I assume you're talking about Hogwarts Legacy, and in extension about the Harry Potter universe.
There are multiple topics to dig into on this one, but I'm gonna keep it short:
The game has Jewish-coded characters (goblins), including many dogwhistles and using shofar as "just a trinket that goblins used to annoy wizards", when shofar holds huge significance to Jewish people. You're basically suppressing a slave uprising as the main story of the game.
The main creator behind the game, the one who wrote the story itself, was a far right neon@zi. Even tho they kicked him off team, they didn't change the story.
The goblins are believed to steal children = blood libel.
You can own slaves (house elves) in the game.
The only trans character is named Sirona (like sir, y'know).
To expand more on why Harry Potter universe is harmful:
Werewolves are coded as gay people with AIDS. Lupin being the only responsible one.
Using Dumbledore being gay as a distraction from when the book sales started dropping because he wasn't this pure nice person.
Again, so much racism, including the names of the characters and stereotypization. And antisemitism.
So much sexism as well. Someone tell me why Tonks didn't stay this bright vibrant character and settled down to more conservative look.
Rowling recently said that she wrote Death Eaters as a symbol for LGBT community "pushing their agenda". The only agenda LGBT people push is wanting basic human rights.
Rowling actively promoting transphobia AND getting money off the game as well, using the money to then harm trans people. She stated that any purchase of anything from her she considers as an agreement with her bigotry.
And yes, I realize this wasn't in good faith, but maybe someone reads it and changes their opinion anyways.

If you consider yourself a feminist, but you don't care about non-white women, trans women, trans men, or cis men who experience toxic masculinity, then you are not a feminist, you are TREF
The rights of trans people are also the rights of cis women, because many cis women have problems with procedures because of fucked up laws, and many cis women are attacked for being "Not women enough", because they don't have a uterus, because they don't have periods, because they are infertile, etc...
By taking away the rights of trans women, you are taking away the rights of cis women
By saying that "Trans men are manipulated women" you are spreading misogyny because you claim that women are worse than men and less intelligent, this is not feminism, this is anti-feminism
By assuming that trans women are aggressive because they are men, you are spreading sexism, which is contrary to feminism and the fight against toxic masculinity
If you assume that black women are aggressive and overly masculine unlike white women, you are a misogynist and racist, not a feminist
If you assume that Muslim women are enslaved by the hijab and force them to take it off, you don't care about women, you are Islamophobic and you force women to wear whatever you want, which is against the idea of feminism
If you assume that a woman has to prove to you that she is a woman, you are a misogynist and a sexist, not a feminist
If you don't care about women from Congo, Sudan, Palestine, Syria etc… you are not a feminist, you are ignorant
If you don't care about women with disabilities, you're an ableist
You are not a feminist, you are a TREF who calls himself a "Feminist" (specifically a "Radical Feminist") and you are a parasite which makes it difficult to fight for the rights of all women
Women are strong, men and women are not as different as you want to believe, gender roles are harmful and harmful so don't defend them and don't fucking promote them, stop lying that you're a feminist when you spread transphobia, sexism, misogyny and racism
You're not a feminist, you're a piece of shit

Also! Since we’re bringing Terfling’s shit back into the limelight, let’s not forget the shit surrounding the Fantastic Beasts series that she wrote the screenplay of!
Leta Lestrange was the result of Corvus Lestrange forcefully using the Imperius Curse on her mother, Laurena Kama, and coerced into marrying him as well as being raped to conceive Leta. Again, this was Terfling's idea to literally make one of the only visible black characters in the series the byproduct of a white man's brutality and rape, and how this traumatized the Kama family.
Nagini being the only Asian woman in the series who not only was a literal "snake woman" stereotype, but became the unquestioning pet of a white, wizard fascist.
The Goldsteins' entire existence for clout despite the fact, not once, were the Goldstein sisters ever depicted as Jewish despite her claims that they were/are.
The fact that much of New York they depicted was racially homogeneous and almost devoid of POC minorities despite NYC at the time being anything but.
The fact that Grindelwald is depicted with both Holocaust imagery, Nazi-parallelism, and cast Johnny Depp for the role.
Leta was killed off in order to save the Scamander brothers, both two white men.
Ezra Miller continuing his role as Credence despite being a serial sex offender and abuser. Ditto goes for Depp and his casting despite being caught up in myriad abuse allegations at the time of Fantastic Beasts' filming and releases and how unapologetic JKR was in supporting him.
And this is just scratching the surface. Hogwarts' Legacy is definitely bad, but don't forget Fantastic Beasts and how blatantly horrible this series was, too!

I also don't like how Jk Rowling treats traditionally feminine characters. Examples Lavander Brown, Fleur, the Pavarti twins, Pansy Parkson. With the exception of Luna(who I feel is feminine but mix with weird girl) all her characters feel like either self inserts of herself or Mary Sues. I love Hermione but it's kinda telling that's she's supposed to be a self insert of Jk Rowling.
The internalized misogyny of this woman is astonishing. To her there is only two possible ways how you can be a good female: you either a mother, or you’re “not like other girls”
The way she treats traditionally feminine characteristics is disgusting: she laughs at Pansy’s girly pink cloak in book 4, she despises Fleur for her effortless femininity and the fact that she realizes and uses her feminine qualities to her advantage, Lavander and Parvati are treated as idiots for believing and loving Divination and giggling and being compassionate towards Trelawney… the list goes on
Luna is treated as a “good example of womanhood” only because she’s not like others and we don’t really see any traditionally feminine qualities with her. Hermione is her self insert, and though I love the potential of this character, she’s insufferable in books towards other girls and women. She doesn’t focus on appearance, but of course she “cleans up” nicely and is breathtaking when it’s required. Ginny is popular among guys and girls, it’s written she has girl friends, but we never even given names to them. They’re there simply to show that Ginny’s popular. And we barely see feminine qualities from her, same as Luna. We’re told she’s cool because of her quidditch skills and wit and… that’s it. And Harry things she’s gorgeous.
Actually, the way I see it: Hermione is her self insert, Ginny is who she wished to be and all the other females who don’t fit with her ideals are a threat

There are a huge number of gender-crossing elements in the Harry Potter books!
Honestly, not to beat a dead horse here but it’s utterly WILD that JK Rowling, head British TERF managed to put into her fictional world that she didn’t want to have any trans-ness or gender barrier crossing within elements including:
A gender-neutral school uniform worn by all students
Gender-neutral clothing that is worn by all adults, including males wearing bright, traditionally feminine colours and fabrics like lace, satin, silk, with nobody finding this strange or unusual
The one sport participated in at Hogwarts and the largest sport in wizarding society is co-ed, with male and female players on the same team both at school and professional level, not divided into men’s and women’s leagues
Changing rooms are co-ed, with the implication at multiple points that cis boys and girls change clothes and shower communally in front of each other, with no suggestion that there are cubicles or other such barriers
The large, bearded hero Hagrid has many traditionally feminine accoutrements, likes the colour pink, and refers to themself with she/her pronouns on multiple occasions
The first book includes a pivotal scene where cis boys have to go into the girls’ bathroom in order to rescue a girl and the girl is very thankful that they went in to save her. Teachers witness this and do not punish or admonish the boys for entering the girls’ bathroom.
The second book includes many pivotal scenes where cis boys are in the girls’ bathroom. They are invited in by a girl who is perfectly comfortable with them being there. If they had not entered the girls’ bathroom they would not have been able to participate in multiple major plot points, and a female student would have died because they had not been there to save her.
A potion exists by which people can transform their whole bodies into other people - which can be used to change gender, which is demonstrated on multiple occasions
Certain people exist who can transform their bodies into other forms without the aid of potions
The most famous band in the wizarding world is The Weird Sisters, a group made up of males only who are quite comfortable using a feminine name for their group. Nobody finds it unusual or remark-worthy that none of the Weird Sisters are women.
One male and one female Prefect are chosen from each year group and they have their own special bathroom. This bathroom is co-ed and the bathing facility is one communal tub, with no indication that there are also separate bathing or showering facilities, separating screens or anything for privacy or modesty
Male characters frequently have long flowing hair which is typically associated with female characters in children’s fiction
It is visibly hard to tell the gender of non-human magical beings, which is described on several occasions
Characters who are most stereotypically and self-assuredly masculine or feminine (the Dursleys, Cormac McLaggen, Lavender Brown) are looked down upon and are figures of embarrassment and fun for the heroes of the story.
In isolation any of these elements could be taken as a hint that the author was quite open-minded or did not care so much about traditional views of gender, normality and/or propriety. The fact that Rowling was able to write in all of these elements when she didn’t need to and could quite easily have chosen to not include them, if she firmly wanted to depict a world with strict gender boundaries, is thus either a sign of exceptionally poor writing, blinkers on as to what kind of society she was actually describing as opposed to what she intended to portray, or a suggestion that in actuality the lady doth protest too much - and that much of her latest rants and ramblings about trans people and the threat they pose are more stubbornness at being challenged and/or trying to stay in with her ‘new friends’ rather than views she has consistently held all through her life.
How does it all possibly add up, otherwise?

Doing an (unofficial) Harry Potter wordsearch puzzle book and on of them is about 'muggle games and puzzles' and has Hungry Hungry hippos on there and now I can't stop thinking about some pure blood students hearing the aggressive CLACKCLACKCLACKCLACKCLACKCLACKCLACK and walking in on a group of muggle-born students playing it and just not knowing that the fuck is happening
