The twins found out who their dads were when they were around five years old. They were born in Reader’s world and were glamoured for almost that whole time. They only returned to the lmk/jttw world because of an incident.

Once in the new world with so many people who were so different and unique they asked their mother about why they didn’t know their dads. At first she wasn’t sure what she should tell them but eventually gave in and told them the story about how her and the monkey duo met. Sparing certain details of course.

They are both in awe that they are the children of TWO Celestial Primates and think it’s cool… at first. Then it brings up how their mom separated from them. So they ask… and their mother explains as best she can.

They know that their dads courtnapped her but they also know that she still loves them. They don’t know why she still does, so Tao gets really curious. Bao on the other hand doesn’t want to know the people who took so much from their mother.

Tao is far more reckless and outgoing than his brother and wants to meet their dads, for the reason that they are family and his mother loves them. They can’t be the worst people if she still loves them and she tells them not to hate them so they have to be somewhat kind… right?

Bao on the other hand doesn’t care about his dads as much he sees the pain in his mother’s eyes when she talks about them and he sees how much she works to take care of him and his brother. He doesn’t want to meet his dads… and he doesn’t until he turns 25 and ends up decking Wukong straight across the face and into a mountain.

Needless to say but his dad did NOT expect to find out he had two other sons than MK in the middle of such a devastating time. And to find out his wife raised the two by herself and so well, he is in awe at his children. Even when he has to fight one.

“WHAT DO WE DO!?” MK shouts in shock, his eyes wide with fear at the sight of Bao fighting his dad.

“Meh… as long as mom doesn’t find out we’re good!” Tao gave a thumbs-up and Mk gawked at his nonchalance.

Don't make things awkward

Okay, so! Sorry this one took a bit of time. I’ve slowed down on the asks to focus a bit on my personal writing project of redoing Kinktober for my own ego lol, but I also sort of just kinda struggled with this one. I don’t know what it was, but man it gave me trouble. I was gonna go with headcanons, but I decided not to do that and make a scenario. Granted, it’s short, but I hope it’s cute.

Stanley Snyder was never the best in school. Granted, he’d never been a flunkie, slacker, or anything like that, but he was far more into the physical education aspect than his childhood best friend Xeno Wingfield had been. So, when Xeno had gone on to work for NASA, and Stan had gone into the military, it felt very appropriate.

Equally appropriate, Xeno had found himself a new friend who’d shared in his intelligence and passion for sciences. So, Stan wasn’t at all surprised to be introduced to them over lunch during his weekend visit to his friend.

So, as the marine sat in the cafe’s baked-good-scented air, a coffee sat in front of him while he watched Xeno chatter and ramble to the new person. Both of them too absorbed in the conversation to pay much mind to how the silver-haired man looked the new person over to admire their body, face, and taste in clothes. They weren’t half bad to look at, and while they hadn’t talked much with him, their voice was nice to listen to, and they had oozed charm pretty easily.

Relax, Stan.A voice scolded in his head as a spark of warmth flared in his chest at the memory of Xeno’s new friend’s smile at him. This is the first time you’ve met them. You barely know this person. Don’t go getting too attached. But, it did little to tamp down the small ember of excitement they’d given him. Don’t be stupid, don’t make it awkward. That voice continued, but as Xeno got up to go to the bathroom and his friend turned their attention back to Stan, he knew he was done for.

The smile that returned to their face simply fanned the ember in the man’s chest. The way their eyes twinkled in the sunlight that illuminated the cafe, the friendly tone in their words as they asked, “So, you’re in the military right? What branch?” it was all to feed that warmth. “Yeah, I’m in the marines. Pretty new to it though, so I don’t have any titles or cool stories.” he said with a small laugh that they returned.

Fuck, I’m such a goner.

So background info is that I have an outline for a story and though I'm not sure how long it'll be I do know it'll be at least over 50 chapters. I'm just stuck on if I should make it be a tragedy or full of angst with a happy ending

Finding out that ao3 fics are being used by AI scrapers to train AI for writing fucking ruined my day. I am already a victim of AI usage in my academic space (unfortunately as I am a History major) and now I must contend and fight AI in my comfort space too? Like no shit Sherlock I will but this makes me incredibly sad and outraged.

We are reducing human agency in terms of creativity and writing. Eventually it will and already is getting to a point that we will be unable to think for ourself and AI would've truly won and taken over our minds. I know deep down we can't fully stop change from happening anyway but I refuse AI for creative endeavors(like art and writing ofc) and in academics at the very least 😓

I have tagged all my fics that only registered users can comment. Any advice on what else I could do to prevent my fics from being scraped?

(This killed my motivation to write my sherliam fic today too.. ugh.)

I just thought of this since a post or so below mentioned they were going to study. If you have ever read a fanfic and went i want to hear this be read but there is no podfic or you just don't like podfics I have news for you.

Download the fic you want to be read out loud as a PDF and the app ReadEra you can for free listen to work. Now it is going to be a Google translate like voice and you can only speed it up to certain number for free but i use it quiet often. You can also use it as a PDF reader without the voice and start anywhere you like. Here is the app from the app storeI just thought of this since a post or so below mentioned they were going to study. Ao3 ask: what do you think about adding a chapter later on in a fic?

Premise: This post is probably going to feel like that moment when you decide to get bangs - you know it’s a terrible idea, everyone else knows it’s a terrible idea, but you’re still going to do it for the plot and because a tiny voice in your head insists it will be glorious.

I’m currently writing a fanfiction on Ao3 titled Sanctuary (Naruto fandom), and I’ve actually made it about halfway through the story. I don’t have betas, but I’m ahead of schedule with chapter drafts, which gives me some buffer time to maintain a consistent posting pace.

After uploading several chapters, I gradually realized that I should’ve given more attention to character development earlier on. A review pointed this out too, and now I can’t stop thinking about it: I might go back a few chapters and insert a new one in between, expanding on the characters and easing the pacing, as things currently feel a bit compressed in those two chapters. It won’t change the plot, just allow more room for character exploration.

I know it could turn out messy, and I’ll need to be extra careful with the execution, but I can’t shake the feeling that I need to do this. Since I’ll likely go through with it anyway (remember the bangs), my question is: have you ever had a similar experience? How did you manage it? Or have you ever read a fic that retroactively added content like this?

Perhaps a strange thing to be excited about but - writing smut!! I’m still working on my first nsfw fic for malevolent and I’m so excited. Not sure if I’m gonna do this again, but it has been a fun challenge!

I’ve also finally started sprinting "correctly". Meaning I don't stop to edit as I write. I wrote a 2k fic in 1 1/2 days with this method - insane. Def something I’m gonna try to keep up with.

Funny you say four chapters, because that's the number I have sitting and waiting in my drafts. 4. a story idea you haven’t written yet.

ive been on a years long journey to become a duke thomas expert and write an insanely stylized, documentary-style fic filmed by duke delving into his personal growth, relationships with his family and the city, the way he views heros both pre-and-post becoming signal, his fear of death and lack of fear of death, his isolation and reckless streak, the other WAR robins and their changing and growing relationships, etc. in my head the fic is called ‘fear of heights’ but in the fic, his documentary is called “I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AFRAID OF HEIGHTS”, all caps, very important.

one day i will actually even write it, maybe. that or finish my jason-duke zombie apocalypse wip that i havent touched in 6 months.

so many, tbh. kiss your knuckles but jason is in grad school now negotiating the semi-estranged dynamics of his family on top of his friends and life moving in new directions. born fighter with an overarching plot and possibly jason-joins-batfam-late trope. bad praxis sequel is 80% finished probably up in the next 2 weeks, get hyped. and ive been meaning to continue so you killed the joker with more immortal jason shenanigans, but i need to chew on the plot for a while longer, i guess.

one day maybe these will all happen but i am Booked and Busy for the next like 3 years, so maybe not!

Courting can be shown in several ways of demons. They don’t have to fight or courtnap in order to court. Courtnapping and Court fighting are merely some traditions that a few follow, most of time its actually just for show. There are reasons to follow these traditions at times.

For courtnapping it could be because they want to show their mate their home and the life they can provide for them before deciding they want to be mates. (They have to consummate for it to be official) If the one who was courtnapped doesn’t like it and decides they don’t want to live their then they are released. (Most of the time).

There are times that this is NOT followed. Such as the monkey duo, who refuse to let Reader go. However in their case its still not “official” as they wont consummate without Reader’s permission, and in the beginning she gives a hard NO. They respect their wife, and they consider her to be their mate even if they haven’t done all the legitimate steps.

Now I do love your idea of mentioning when they were cursed!! Wukong definitely tells Reader that she started it by ‘courtnapping’ them first. Macaque face palming any time that he tries to use this as an excuse for their actions.

“We COULD complete the last step now if you wanted,” Wukong purred seductively only for you to jump back eyes widening in shock.

“NO! Nope, I don’t want that,” You replied sternly hugging yourself as you glared at him.

“Don’t fear, we’re not going to make you do anything like that unless you want it,” Macaque spoke up calmly, “However we are NOT going to let you go. We have claimed you as our mate, and we intend to keep you as such.”

You felt a flush of anger, glaring at both of the kings. Macaque was back to reading his book, it was something on plants. You weren’t sure what it was, but he had mentioned that he was trying to grow some new trees, your favorite fruits too. Angrily you turned away to walk out of the room, more than likely to go find Spirit who was probably with her family.

“You know… you technically courtnapped US first,” Wukong stated before you could walk out the door.

Macaque rolled his eyes as you turned to look at him in confusion. “What are you talking about?”

“That wasn’t-,” Macaque was cut off.

“When you dragged us along on your journey to get back to your world, remember?” He said with a smirk spread across his face.

Macaque couldn’t stop himself from slapping his forehead at his husband’s words as your cheeks flushed a bright red.

Now as for court fighting its designed to show your mate that you are strong enough to protect them. This is almost never done on humans as they aren’t as powerful as demons, the most that is done for this is probably when they are willing to spar with their human mate.

This is usually reserved for powerful demons who want to mate. One demon will offer to fight and prove their worth, if the other agrees then they will fight and whoever wins decides if they will be mates. These duals can be rejected but it is widely frowned upon when someone rejects one of these fights.

Neither warlord even thinks about court fighting against you. But are more than willing to tell their wife all about their own court fight. They both wanted to mate with each other at the time but Wukong loves fighting so he proposed that Macaque ‘prove’ himself via court fight. Macaque was more than willing to oblige, the fight ended in a draw because they are so close in strength. (The fight lasted a few days straight)

Okay, so this is less grovelling and more just, sweet. Sorry I missed that, but I hope you still enjoy! I had some fun writing this one, it just took me a while to get the energy up.

“Are you seriously keeping this up?” Senku groaned into the noon sun from where he leaned back onto two legs of his work chair. So, clearly, he hadn’t learned a damned thing. “You’ve already been at this for a week. Why are you so mad that I went to space? The other option was Xeno, and nobody trusts him!”

Yet you stubbornly refused to answer him.

After all, the two of you had held that conversation multiple times at that point. Hours long discussions, quick screaming fits, threats, they’ve all been had about how careless he was about his own safety. So, even though the nineteen-year-old prodigy was clearly playing chicken for your attention and scoldings, you held your tongue and kept your eyes on the wire you weaved together. Which just earned an annoyed groan from the leek-haired scientist. “Come on! I’ve arguably been a lot better about the reckless behavior! You weren’t even around for when me and Chrome got Sulfuric acid, or I jerry-rigged electricity!” But I sure heard of all of that. You thought at him. Yet, your lips never moved to verbalize the thought. Instead, you sat there and barely even looked back to him when he let the front legs of his chair hit the packed dirt of the clearing so that he could walk up behind you.

You also didn’t look at him when he let his forearms rest on your shoulders.

“Will you please say something to me? I’m tired of Taiju being the go-between.” He sighed. The edge of confident arrogance that he kept in his voice like a security blanket thinned to let the honest hurt and dejection slip into his words. Which, was what finally got you to crack. “I just don’t want you dead, Senku. I know we have the medusa, but I don’t feel comfortable using it at alllet alone like that. It’s not natural.” You explained, your wire allowed to go slack as your shoulders drooped and the weight of the leek-haired scientist weighed more on you as he leaned down further to let his arms come around and wrap around your neck in a hug. “I know. I’m sorry, and I wish I could say I wouldn’t do it again. But I can’t do that…” He said, the rare softness in his voice bringiing a pin prick of warmth to the corner of your eyes already. “I understand that, but...why does it always have to be you? Without you, so much is lost, why are you always the first one thrown to the wolves?” You hated how your voice quivered ever so slightly, but Senku didn’t mention it as he tightened his hold on you for a brief second. “Because nobody but me or Xeno has the knowledge on hand for all of the dangerous stuff, and I’m the one that’s trusted.” He explained, “Revive other experts!” “We’d need to teach them how to work the new versions of their tools. If something’s pressing, that time is precious.” “Then teach Chrome!” You argued, the burn at the corners of your eyes developed into tears at that point, but you fought to not let them fall down your cheeks as Senku pointed out in a compassionate yet even voice that made you feel irrational by comparison. An effect he often had on you with the cold logic and scientific reasoning that he learned from Xeno Houston Wingfield. “I’m trying, but you have to give him more time. Not everybody has as easy a time grasping these subjects like I do.”

When your shoulders shook with a swallowed sob, Senku sunk lower to wrap his arms around you better. He didn’t say anything as he did, but that was fine. One of the things you two had bonded over was the discomfort with vulnerability and softer emotions, so you would’ve hated it if he’d tried to comfort and shush you like Taiju or Yuzuriha might. Instead, though, the scientist simply let you cry in his hold in silence. The only words of comfort given the song of birds and soft breezes through the leafy tree branches.

6. Favorite title you used

I'm gonna go for this year, only because I'm not the best at titles. It's usually something simple. This year it's "Pardon my French". I instantly got the idea and found it really funny and fitting for the fic.

28. Favorite work you wrote this year?

"Bloody Delicious", no hesitation on this one. I was so excited to write werewolf!Frank again and this time have vampire!Matt. I've had the idea for a long while but didn't know how to approach it. I'm glad I finally got the inspiration and I'm looking forward to writing the next part 😍

29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?

Ugh, this one is tough. I write pretty simple dialogues and stuff in general, so I'm not really sure. I enjoy writing backstories, though, and I like the one I wrote for Matt in Bloody Delicious. The banter between him and Frank is pretty fun, too. Especially the part when Frank tells him to "bite him", but Matt takes it as an insult and not as Frank meaning it literally 😂.

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?

Hmm... I think the best surprise was after I wrote "Good boy" based on @kuriusagiart 's little comic, and they drew a little comic for the additional scene I wrote in turn. Getting a visual to something you write is just mind-blowingly amazing, and I was super happy that there was this exchange in inspiration.

With the recent events in the USA, what will that mean for the archive?

We know that MAGAs want an porn ban. But we also know that they understand basically anything not purely promoting cis het married ideology falls under that umbrella. Plus the other topics they don't like and already have banned books about.

So how safe are our stories?

Will you move servers to another country? Or will you fight legally as much as it might still be possible after Project 2025 is implemented? Or do we all need to start and download all the fanfic to save it from mass deletion?

Hello yes I will be posting them once I get them drafted on Tumblr and then rewritten. Tumblr's kind of my drafting ground at the moment where I'm getting it generally out if not perfectly edited.

But I do intend to post all my WIPS on Ao3 once they're in a spot to be posted :)
