That evening, after a scrounged meal of conjured fish and chips, Regulus opened the conversation for what he swore would be the last time. 

“Harry, I just need to ask you a few more questions.” The boy stiffened on the sofa across from Regulus. “I promise just a few more and we’ll never have to talk about it again.”

Harry whispered, “Never ever?”

“Never ever.” Swore Regulus firmly.

“Okay.”

Regulus gave himself a moment to gather his thoughts and then started. “You said your Aunt Tunie hates you. How do you know?”

“She told me. She yells at me and says I’m a freak like Mummy and Papa.”

“And they got- got wha’ they had comin’. And Uncl’ Moon is a monster and Uncl’ Pad is a fa-”

“Okay.” Regulus raised his hand to stop Harry. He didn’t want to hear that word. “I understand. Just one more question, Harry. Can you give me another answer?” Harry nodded shakily. Regulus moved to sit next to him and said gently, “I won’t touch you, but I am right here if you need me.” Harry nodded again with confusion.

“Harry, has your Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia ever hurt you?” Harry squeaked and his eyes widened. “Have they ever hit you, Harry?” Harry curled in a ball again as he seemed to whenever he was upset. “Did you run away from them when you were at the park- is that how you found me?” Harry’s gleaming eyes met his and he knew he got it right. 

“Right, no more questions.”

“Really?”

“Really.” Regulus Murmured.

I think the most profane thing in all of this was the smugness of the studios. They're only just now admitting to the public that this is going to impact movie and TV schedules, and started by saying "may impact" even as recent as a week or two ago, while the older CEOs that already got out and ran in the past are now going, "No, this is about to turn into catastrophic collapse of the entire industry, if this drags on till christmas these businesses will not even have the money to order anything."

Even Zaslav is shifting uncomfortably now going, well, we need a resolution, all the projections (that we convinced investors and the stock market of) are based on September back to work date. And he said that Thursday, and they failed to come to an agreement Friday.

They have, at best, one more shot at this in the next few weeks, before that "September back to work" date of Zaslav disappears into the bullshit wormhole he's been pulling it out of.

Even *if* everyone got to work *tomorrow*, it still takes months to write, develop, put things through pre-prod. And the holidays are coming full of stop gaps. Things wouldn't even start filming till like, new years break ends. And then shows want a few buffer months of filming ahead, so you'd be looking at a Spring schedule at best. And that says nothing for piled up double bookings for creatives and actors, et al, pushing things out and out and out.

Like, let me use Supernatural for example. It used to run Sept-Apr or so, then eventually moved Oct-May. When a season ended in mid May, even before any official renewal, authors were passing around next season ideas, and had initial drafts by, say, late June of where they were going to go with arenas and assigning future writing assignments over the team. Then July and August are actually, you know, writing it and pushing it through other pre-production phases, including studios sticking their dicks in to bounce it back, and the network, and whatever else. That's why there's multiple drafts--Writer, Network, Production. Then by late August and into September they're filming, and in SPN's case, it was 8 days/episode. This varies per show, 6-10, but 8 is a good average anyway. Weekends aren't included, so you can generally get about 3 episodes in a month done, give or take. And they like to have about in the bag before air, for a plethora of reasons. So a late August filming > Sept > Early Oct is like 6-7 weeks filming for five episodes.

While minor details may change on different shows, this is a general rhythm to account on, and it's a show of good averages all around.

So with this in mind, the writers haven't written SHIT because STRIKE. So this entire quarter is bumped at least into next, and then filming into next year, and so on.

And they *might not even get back to work by SEPTEMBER*. Then comes holidays and-- you see the problem here. Even some top reality shows are sort of off the table due to their hosts being part of SAG. Reality stars are even muttering about unionizing and discontent with pay, production groups not covered are falling in under IATSE who is this close to joining the rave.

And all they had to do was agree to pay fairly months ago. But they thought people would give up, that people would accept rewashed fodder instead of losing subscribers, that they could snow investors with "free cash flow" from not ordering things, even knowing they were going to reduce ordering anyway because they were in the red from over-ordering to pad content libraries in streaming. So some +100M cash flow is actually real pitiful when it should have another zero behind it. They are feeling it, and realizing, they did a fucking dumb. Penny pinching their work crew is going to tumble several media empires at this rate, but they STILL didn't come to the table properly and for real last time.

Like they Do Not Get It. The unions aren't going to stop, or bend. The unions want double payrate, and mostly should get it, or at least real damn close. But they kept offering pennies as if they had empty coffers while raking in hundreds of millions for CEOs, and those CEOs are about to lose everything from their refusal to break from their greed.

The industry was already due for a content retraction, but the least they could do is say, yeah, sure, we'll pay the people we DO hire fairly.

A lot of authors and actors are going to find themselves struggling for work after this regardless, but it's the kind of job they've already been working other jobs around. So "starving them out" was never gonna work, the suits never got that. All they want is fair returns for when they DO get work. But companies are proving they'd rather commit suicide than do that. And now, they're panicking, realizing, maybe they shouldn't? But what do now while running out of money?

WB's current plan for example involves selling off a lot of its international and sports networks, but the irony is, that's the only thing keeping them floating, but they're reaching a point of no other choice. At this rate these studios are about to have to sell ALL their linear stations, bail from classic broadcast, and put everything into streaming. Otherwise, we're watching their slow fall.

Autumn (Neji x Reader)

Synopsis: You and Neji come home after a long day at the Autumn Festival.

“Let me just lie down for a second.” 

The fresh berry pie you bought from the festival slid perfectly to the center of Neji’s small kitchen table. Your coat draped over the back of one of the chairs as you made a beeline to plop down on the couch, sinking straight into the cushions. Your knitted socks brushed against the plush area rug as your leg slumped over the edge. The armrest elevated your opposite ankle. Neji snatched up your scarf as it coiled to the floor, folding it next to your half-empty fall-flavored latte. 

“You’re going to fall asleep.” He frowned. 

Neji was almost sure you would. It had been a long day, beginning with you actually beating him out of bed. He remembered your silhouette as you got ready in the bluish tint of the morning. The next thing he knew, you were shepherding him across the village fifteen minutes early to the Autumn Leaf Festival with time to spare for a themed breakfast at a local cafe. 

You heard him pad off somewhere into the kitchen, followed by the ruffle of bags. You turned on your side, peering lazily over Neji’s silk decorative pillows as he unpacked your produce. You only realized how much you bought when you saw it all spread out on the counter. You had been the one talking to the farmers and stall owners, and when it was time to pay, Neji had his wallet in hand. 

“I didn’t realize how much we brought back,” you laughed sheepishly. You curled up with a pillow, letting your face smush into the soft material. If Neji had a knack for anything, it was interior design. At least you thought so. You were sure Neji would disagree. 

He had stopped in the middle of his unloading to cut a pumpkin tart in two. With plate in hand, he returned to where you lounged on the couch. The cushion dipped under him as he sat in the curve between your torso and curled legs. 

“It makes you happy, doesn’t it?” He offered you the plate, so the slightly larger piece slid toward you. You took the one half, and Neji took the other. You hummed as you took a bite, turning to stare out the glass windows of his balcony. Neji nibbled his tart, following your gaze. 

He had a view of the whole mountain. Even from where you lay, you could watch the colors of the leaves change. The mixture of reds, oranges, and browns whisked about in the wind, the sea of branches that covered the Land of Fire ebbing and flowing in tandem like a giant wave.

As busy as he was, Neji hadn’t even noticed the leaves changing until today. Despite his patrols or daily commute to the Hokage building, the season's changing colors hadn’t even occurred to him until you pointed them out earlier. Only when you were holding him close to you, wrapping a warm scarf around his neck, did he realize just how fast time went. 

Neji could have been with you at that moment for an eternity, he decided. But even that moment passed, settling like sand into a new tender moment as you ate together and watched the leaves. 

He kissed you on the forehead, pulling a neatly folded throw blanket from its spot hanging off the back of the couch.

“Go to sleep,” he said, returning the empty plate just a few steps to the kitchen. “I know you’re going to.” 

And it was the same every time. No matter how you protested or hated to admit it, Neji was seldom wrong. 

You woke up in the same position you had fallen asleep in. The sky outside had darkened, leaving few clues about how long you were out. A slight fog tinted the glass. You kicked off the blanket, suddenly warm. A few cracks from your joints made an audible sound as you slowly rose; the smell of something cooking wafted through the air.

You found Neji standing in the kitchen. His hair was pulled up into a neat bun. The collar of an apron sat at the back of his neck and tied neatly around his back. You came up behind him, nuzzling his shoulder as you slipped your hands into the apron pouch just under Neji’s ribs. You peeked around him, watching the colorful collection of vegetables swirled around his ladle. 

“I could’ve helped,” you muttered against the fabric of his shirt. Neji raised his arm, wrapping it around you. He gently combed his fingers over the parts of your hair that he could. 

“Asleep?” The side of Neji’s lips brushed against your hairline, a playful pout twitching at your mouth. You gave him another nuzzle. Neji tapped the ladle on the edge of the pot. His shirt bunched up in your two-armed grip as he turned to lay a gentle kiss on your head. “I kid. Would you grab bowls, please?”

You recoiled your touch slowly and softly, giving Neji’s bottom a quick swat as you retreated to bring him two bowls. He snorted, not even batting an eye. Neji watched the back of your head with a steady breath in, taking in this moment with you.

How Goldman Sachs's "tax-loss harvesting" lets the ultra-rich rake in billions tax-free

With the IRS Files, Propublica ripped away the veil of performative complexity disguising the scams that the ultra-rich use to amass billions and billions (and billions and billions) of dollars, paying next to no tax, or even no tax at all. Each scam is its own little shell game, a set of semantic and accounting tricks used to gussy up otherwise banal rip-offs.

The finance sector has a cute name for this kind of complexity: MEGO, which stands for "my eyes glaze over." If you're trying to rip off a mark, you just pad out the prospectus, make it so thick they decide there must be something good in there, the same way that any pile of shit that's sufficiently large must have a pony under it...somewhere.

Propublica's writers haven't merely confirmed just how little America's oligarchs pay in tax - they've also de-MEGO-ized each of these scams, like the way that Peter Thiel used the Roth IRA - a tax-shelter for middle-class earners to help save a few thousand dollars for retirement - to make $5 billion without paying one cent in tax:

One of my favorite IRS Files reports described how Steve Ballmer - the billionaire ex-CEO of Microsoft - laundered vast fortunes into a state of tax-free grace by creating hundreds of millions in "losses" from his basketball team, the LA Clippers. Ballmer paid 12% tax on the $656 million he took out of the Clippers - while the players whose labor generated that fortune paid 30-40% on their earnings:

That was Propublica's first Ballmer story, back in the summer of 2021. But they ran a followup last February that I missed (it came out while I was on a book tour in Australia), and it's wild: a tale of "loss harvesting," a form of fuckery involving Goldman Sachs that's depraved even by their own standards:

Loss farming is a scam that was invented in the 1920s, whereupon it was promptly banned by Congress. But Goldman and other plutocrat Renfields have come up with tiny modern variations on this century-old con that the IRS is either unable or unwilling to address.

Here's how it works. Say you've got a stock portfolio where some of the stocks have gone up and others have gone down. You want to sell the high stocks and hang onto the low ones until they bounce back. But if you sell those stocks that have gone up, you have to "realize" the profit from them and pay 20% capital gains tax on them (capital gains tax is the tax you pay on money you get from owning things; it's much lower than income tax - the tax you pay for doing things).

But you pay tax on your net capital gains - the profits you've made minus the losses you've suffered. What if you sold those loser stocks at the same time? If you made a million on the good stocks and lost a million on the bad ones, your net income is zero - and so is your tax bill.

The problem is that selling stocks when they've gone down is a surefire way to go broke. Every investing book starts with this advice: you will be tempted to hold onto your stocks that are going up, because they might continue to go up. You'll be tempted to sell your stocks that are going down, because they may continue to go down. But if you do that, you'll only sell the stocks that have lost money, and never sell the stocks that have made money, and so you will lose everything.

Back when the pandemic started, your shares in movie theater chains were in the toilet, while your stock in tech companies shot through the roof. If you sold the tech stocks then and held onto your movie stocks and sold them now, you'd have cleaned up - today, tech stocks are down and movie theater stocks are up. But if you sold the cinema shares when they bottomed out, and held onto your tech stocks when they were peaking, you'd be busted today.

So selling your loser stocks to offset the gains from your winners is a bad idea. That's where loss-farming comes in: what if you sold your tech stocks at their peak, and sold your bottomed-out cinema stocks at the same time, but then bought the cinema stocks again, right away? That way you'd have the "loss" from selling the cinema stocks, but you'd still have the stocks.

That's called "wash trading," and Congress promptly banned it. If you've heard of wash-trading, it's probably something you picked up during the NFT bubble, which was a cesspit of illegal wash-trading. Remember all those eye-popping NFT sales? It was just grifters with multiple wallets, buying NFTs from themselves, making it seem like there was this huge, white-hot market for monkey JPEGs. Wash-trading.

Turns out that crypto really did democratize finance...fraud.

Wash-trading has been illegal for a century, but brokerages have invented modern variations on the theme that are legal-ish, and the most lucrative versions of these scams are only available to billionaires, through companies like Goldman Sachs.

There are a bunch of these variations, but they all boil down to this: there are lots of ways to sell an asset and buy it again, while making it look like you bought a different asset. Like, say you're invested in Chinese tech companies through an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that bundles together "all the Top Chinese tech stocks."

Maybe you bought this fund through Vanguard, the giant brokerage. Now, say Chinese stocks are way down, because the Chinese government is doing these waves of lockdowns on the factory cities. If you could sell those Chinese stocks now, you'd get a massive loss, enough to wipe out all the profits from all your good stocks.

But of course, China's going to figure out the lockdown situation eventually, so you don't want to actually get rid of those stocks right now, especially since they're worth so much less than you paid for them. So right after you sell your Vanguard Chinese tech ETF shares, you buy the same amount of Schwab's Chinese tech-stock ETF.

An ETF of "leading Chinese tech companies" is going to have basically the same companies' stock in it, no matter whether it's sold by Vanguard, State Street or Schwab. But as far as the IRS is concerned, this isn't a wash-trade, because you sold a thing called "Vanguard ETF" and bought a thing called "Schwab ETF" and these are different things (even if the main difference is the name on the wrapper, and not what's inside).

There's other ways to do this. For example, lots of companies have different "classes" of stock. Under Armour sells both Class A (voting) and Class C (nonvoting) stocks. Though voting stock is worth a little more than nonvoting stock, they both rise and fall together - if the Class A shares are up 10%, so are the Class C shares. So you can dump your Under Armour Class A's, buy Under Armour Class C's and own essentially the same amount of Under Armour stock - but as far as the IRS is concerned, you just sold your interest in one company and bought an interest in a different company, and you can take a big loss and write down your profits from other stock trades.

The IRS does prohibit wash-trading, but only in the narrowest sense. Brokerages are obliged to report trades in which a customer buys and sells exactly the same security, with the same unique ID (the CUSIP number), within 60 days. Beyond that, IRS guidance is extraordinarily wishy-washy, calling on filers to "consider all the facts and circumstances" of their transactions. Sure, that'll work.

Propublica found zero instances of the IRS targeting any of these trades, ever, for enforcement. That's especially true of the most egregious version of loss-harvesting, a special version that only the ultra-rich can take advantage of, called "direct indexing." You might know about "index funds," where a brokerage sells a single fund that tracks a broad index of stocks - for example, you can buy an S&P 500 index that goes up and down with the total value of the top 500 stocks in America.

Direct indexing is something that giant banks like Goldman Sachs offer to their very richest clients. The brokerage buys a mix of stocks that are likely to track the whole index, and puts those shares directly into the client's account. Rather than owning shares in a fund that owns the stocks, you own the stocks directly. That means that when you want to harvest some losses, you can sell just a few of the stocks in the index, rather than your shares in the whole fund.

Here's how that works. In 2017, the US index was up 20%; global indexes were up even more. Steve Ballmer made a bundle. But Goldman Sachs, acting on Ballmer's behalf, sold s few of the stocks in the portfolio and harvested a $100,000,000 loss, that Ballmer could use to trick the IRS into treating his massive profits as though he'd made very little taxable income.

Goldman uses a whole range of tricks to keep billionaires like Ballmer in a lower tax-bracket than the janitors who clean the floors after his team's games. They not only buy and sell different classes of stock in companies like Discovery and Fox; they also buy and sell the same company's stock in different countries. For example, they sold Ballmer's shares in Shell in one country, and then immediately bought the same amount of shares in another country. The IRS doesn't treat this as a wash-trade, despite the fact that the shares have the same value, and, indeed, companies like Shell routinely merge their overseas and domestic shares with no change in valuation.

Thanks to Goldman's ruses - and the IRS's willingness to accept them - Ballmer's wealth has swollen to grotesque proportions. He generated $579 million in losses from 2014-18, and as a result, got to keep at least $138m that he'd have otherwise had to pay to the IRS.

Goldman's not the only one in on this game: Iconiq Captial - a firm that also offers marriage partner scouting for its richest clients - has $13.2 billion under management on behalf of just 337 people. Among those high-rollers: Mark Zuckerberg, whose $88m in gains from Iconiq investments were offset by $34m in imaginary losses that the company manufactured with wash-trades.

In theory, the simplest form of wash-trading - selling your Vanguard China fund and buying a Schwab China fund - is available to any investor. Leaving aside the fact that the top 1% of Americans own most of the stock, this is still a deceptive proposition. This kind of wash-trading only benefits investors who hold their shares outside of a sheltered retirement account, which is a vanishing minority indeed.

Instead, the primary beneficiaries of this activity are the usual suspects: convicted monopolists like Ballmer, or useless scions of wealthy families, like the kids of Walmart founder Sam Walton, who emerged into this world through very lucky orifices and are thus effectively exempt from the need to work or pay tax for life.

Jim Walton is Sam Walton's youngest orifice-lottery-winner. Young Jim saw a $10 billion increase in his wealth from 2014-18, making him the tenth richest person in America. Thanks to wash-trading, he declared only $111 million of that $10 billion on his taxes, and paid $0.00 in tax on that $10 billion gains.

One way that the rich are especially well-situated to exploit loss-harvesting is in converting short-term gains - which are taxed at 40% - into long-term gains, which are taxed at 20%. For people who make a lot of money buying and selling shares as pure speculation, flipping them in less than a year, wash-trading can create the appearance of long-term holdings. Analyzing their trove of leaked IRS files, Propublica showed that Americans who report over $10 million in income almost never report short-term gains. Instead, two-thirds of the richest Americans report short-term losses.

One fascinating wrinkle is that rich people may not even know this is going on. Whatsapp co-founder Brian Acton, managed to "lose" $2.9 million  when he sold $17 million in shares - the same day he bought $17 million in shares in nearly the same companies from another brokerage. Then, a few months later, he reversed those transactions, selling his new fund and buying the old one and harvesting another $600,000 in losses.

When Propublica asked Acton about this, he told them he was "not really aware of any events like that...Broadly my wealth is managed by a wealth management firm and they manage all the day to day transactions."

This is completely believable and consistent with the extraordinarily frank account of how elite money-management works that Abigail Disney described in 2021, where the ultra-rich are insulated from the scams, tricks and wheezes that lawyers and accountants dream up to keep their fortunes steadily mounting with no action needed on their part:

Could the IRS block this kind of wash-trading? Yes, but they'd need action from Congress. The most effective way to do this would be to force shareholders to "mark to market" the value of their holdings, taxing them each year on the fluctuations in their portfolio.

Propublica notes that this is incredibly unlikely to happen, though. As an alternative, Congress could change the rule that blocks investors from claiming losses when they buy and sell "substantially identical" shares with a rule that applies to "substantially similar" stocks. This proposal comes from Columbia Law's David Schizer, who says the law "ought to be updated to reflect how people invest today instead of how they invested 100 years ago."

But for any of that to have an effect, the IRS would have to change its auditing and enforcement practices, which currently see low-income earners (who can't afford fancy tax-lawyers who'll tie up the IRS for months or years) being disproportionately targeted, while America's super-rich, ultra-rich, and stupid-rich are allowed to submit the most hilariously, obviously fictional returns and get away with it.

Quindi, tl; dr: questo è in realtà un problema con il tema del blog. Il tuo tema non mostra le immagini nei post creati dal nuovo editor come previsto.

Le GIF caricate tramite l'editor precedente o il nuovo editor vengono effettivamente elaborate allo stesso modo. Non c'è differenza nella profondità di bit né nella risoluzione. Puoi vederlo invece guardando i tuoi post all'interno della dashboard di Tumblr (ad esempio, invece di tuoblog.tumblr.com/post/id, vai su tumblr.com/tuoblog/id).

Il motivo per cui vedi una differenza di qualità è perché i post creati dal nuovo editor vengono trattati come post di testo dai vecchi temi del blog. I temi spesso aggiungono spaziatura intorno a tutto il contenuto di un post di testo, comprese le immagini che appaiono in esso. Se il tuo tema presenta post larghi 540px, allora in un post di testo, con quel padding aggiuntivo, lo spazio disponibile per le tue immagini è in realtà inferiore a 540px. Di conseguenza, il browser ridimensionerà le immagini per adattarle e, quando ciò accade, la qualità dell'immagine ne risente.

La soluzione: aggiornamento a un tema più moderno e aggiornato, come Vision o Stereo. Lo sviluppatore di temi @eggdesign ha anche creato un modello di tema che funziona con nuovi post, su cui puoi costruire! Questi temi moderni applicano il padding solo ai blocchi di testo anziché all'intero post, quindi i blocchi di immagini non ricevono padding e vengono offerti con la loro larghezza completa di 540 px, proprio come la Dashboard. Da quello che abbiamo visto, questo risolve tutti i problemi relativi alla qualità GIF percepita sui blog.

Lo sappiamo. Cambiare il tema richiede molto lavoro. Nel prossimo futuro, stiamo cercando modi per semplificare questa transizione, ad esempio aiutandoti a identificare i temi che funzionano bene con i nuovi post nel Theme garden. Ma lavorare con nuovi post è la via da seguire: i nuovi post utilizzano un formato che apre molte opportunità in futuro.

Perché non puoi aggiungere tipi di post ai post dal nuovo editor? Perché non pubblicare nuovi post come post di foto invece che come post di testo?

Il nuovo editor utilizza un nuovo formato di post, chiamato Neue Post Format (NPF). NPF ci ha dato un enorme impulso in termini di flessibilità quando si tratta di quali contenuti possono essere presenti nei post: ricordi il tempo in cui non potevi nemmeno caricare le immagini sui reblog? O quanti post di chat e citazioni vecchie cambiano magicamente gli autori? NPF ci ha aiutato a risolvere entrambe queste cose. Ha rimosso i vincoli, inclusi i tipi di post, che limitano ogni post a un tipo specifico di contenuto.

Ma i temi del blog esistenti devono ancora essere in grado di visualizzare questi post. Poiché i post NPF possono includere media ovunque (mentre la maggior parte dei vecchi tipi di post ha una struttura rigida per i media), per noi era più sicuro classificare i post NPF come il tipo di post meno vincolato: post di testo. È il meglio che possiamo fare per rendere questi post retrocompatibili con i temi del blog esistenti.

Al posto dei tipi di post, abbiamo aggiunto una variabile del tema {NPF} per post che i temi personalizzati possono sfruttare. Gli sviluppatori di temi devono aggiornare i loro temi per sfruttare questi nuovi dati per mantenere il pieno controllo dell'output HTML dei post.

Summary: Khun can evade sleep but he can't evade Bam.

Bam folded the bed cover over and smoothed it down. The bed was ready and he just had to retrieve one more thing.

He padded to the living room and some night owls were still watching a movie, but no sign of who he was looking for. The kitchen was cold and empty. The training room was dark and a bit scary looking at night.

Bam pushed the sliding door open and stepped out onto the patio. There is where he found his partner, nodding off in front of his lighthouse, hands still hovering over the keyboard. Bam laughed lightly as he approached him.

“Khun-ssi, come to bed.”

Khun grumbled as rubbed his eyes. “I’m almost done, Bam.”

A startle yelp rung out as Bam scooped Khun out of his seat and made his way inside. There was some poignant sighing, but no complaint as Khun rested his head on Bam’s shoulder.

No one gave them any looks as they passed by the hall to their shared room. It wasn’t the first time, and it certainly wouldn’t be the last.

Bam gently put Khun down on the bed, only to find him already quietly snoring. It took a bit of finagling to get the covers out from under him, but he managed to tuck him in. He went around to his side of the bed and settled in under the covers.

As soon as he shut his eyes, hands were reaching out to him, tugging at his shirt and pulling him to the center of the bed. Bam winced as icy hands slipped under his shirt and pressed against his warm skin, but he didn’t mind when he heard the soft sigh from Khun, who was now hugging him close.

He was cold now, but later in the night, Bam would have to throw the cover off because of Khun’s body heat. He wasn’t sure if it was firefish-related, but he dealt with it nonetheless because he couldn’t bear to push Khun away.

Bam smiled and closed his eyes, sleep coming to him easier now that he was comfortable with his other half.
