I used to really struggle with the concept of beautiful patience. How is patience beautiful? What was the secret? I have had the same thoughts about this verse for years and every time I would read Surah Yusuf in a hardship I would ask myself the same question.

It did not click until this Ramadan.

Beautiful patience is to embrace the waiting because you know what follows is surely a great relief. That is the only way to bear patience upon something that doesn’t make sense or a hardship that shakes you to your core. It is to remember Who put this in your path. When you know who Allah is, when you internalize His attributes, when you are upon absolute certainty that He is with you. That He is the Most Merciful and not a single thing happens to you without being full of His mercy. That everything that happens to you is full of khayr because He will never hurt a believer. That He is the Most Powerful and the One who opens the most tightly shut doors. That all of this could change at any moment. That He has complete control over your affairs and complete knowledge, so He is protecting you from something and when the time is right, this hardship will certainly pass. That He is the Most Generous, so *never* will you sincerely ask Him for something and beg him, clinging to His mercy and refusing to give up your duaa, except that He will respond with *more* than what you asked Him for. Wallahi not a single time will Allah not give you even more than you asked Him for if you internalize all of this. Only then— does patience become beautiful. Because you know what is coming will make you forget all the pain that has passed. That He is preparing you for something great. That He is shaping you into someone great. That His love can be found in every little detail and it will all make sense one day, no matter how long it takes.

Endure with beautiful patience, my friends. How can we know who Allah is and expect anything but the absolute best from Him? No— Allah is unlike anyone and anything. Even what you imagine to be the best case scenario will fall short of what He actually gives you. Do not doubt that for a moment. He is Allah. He is beautiful in all that He does 🩵

Salim knew he had to make a move. It might go very badly, but he had to try. The only thing that held him back was the fear of losing his friendship with Jason. But if he continued on like this, things might strain between them anyway.

So he decided to try, and face whatever came of it.

They were sitting together watching something on television. Jason looked relaxed, one arm draped over the back of the couch. His other hand rested on top of his thigh. There was some space between them, but not so much that Salim would have to reach far if he wanted to touch that hand. And he wanted to; he really, really wanted to. It wouldn't have been a strange thing to do, except that Americans had a very different idea of what holding hands meant. If Salim reached for Jason's hand, the former marine might think Salim meant it in that other way.

And he would be right.

Salim took in a slow breath. He was being ridiculous about this. It was just holding hands. There was no reason to be nervous. They had even held hands before. Though perhaps that wasn't the best comparison. Pulling each other up to a higher ridge was hardly the same thing.

Salim swallowed down his nerves and inched his hand over. Allah, why was it so sweaty all of a sudden? He discreetly wiped the sweat away and tried again. The tips of his fingers gave a questioning tap to Jason's knuckles. The younger man turned his way, arching an eyebrow.

“What's up? You okay?”

“Yes, I... I'm okay.” He allowed a little more pressure from his fingers.

“You sure?” Jason's gaze locked onto his.

“Yes.” Salim's mouth was dry and his hand was sweaty, but this time he didn't dare try to wipe it off. He carefully scooted his fingers across the back of Jason's hand. “Is this all right?” he asked.

“What?” Jason asked, blinking in confusion. His eyes dropped down to his hand like he was only now noticing Salim's slow progress. Salim's hand was fully covering his now. “Yeah,” Jason said, his eyes traveling back up to Salim's face. “It's a thing, right, for friends to hold hands?”

Salim was struck with an unexpected mix of emotions: pleasure that Jason would bother learning something about Salim's culture, and disappointment that Jason attributed this gesture to friendship.

“Yes,” Salim confirmed reluctantly. It would be so easy to leave it at that... “But that's...” It was getting warmer in the room, or possibly it was just his face. “That isn't why...”

“Oh.” Thankfully Jason understood before Salim had to say it all out loud. There was the slightest upward tick of Jason's lips. Most people wouldn't see it, but Salim noted the nervous strain in the younger man's eyes. “Yeah,” Jason nodded, sliding his fingers so Salim's thumb was tucked into his palm. “It's okay.”

“Okay,” Salim echoed. Jason's lip ticked up a little more and he squeezed Salim's thumb.

Salim didn't know what to do now. His heart was doing its best to beat its way out of his chest, his emotions swelling up in his throat. Salim didn't know how he was still able to breathe. He was hyper aware of the feel of Jason's grip, the texture of his palm, the warmth of his skin. Salim was frozen, his entire being anchored by that thumb in Jason's hand.

He hadn't even noticed when Jason's other arm loved off the back of the couch to drop down onto Jason's leg. He did notice when a faith flush of pink made its way across Jason's cheeks. It was a very pretty look for him.

“I hear you thinkin',” Jason announced.

“You're very pale,” Salim told him. “How did you ever survive an Iraqi summer without burning to a crisp?”

“I wore a hat, smart-ass.”

“Yes, the hat. I think I remember it,” Salim teased. That got a smile and a snort of amusement from Jason.

“Shut up,” Jason grumbled, and turned his attention back to the TV.

Their hands stayed clasped together. It quickly became comfortable and Salim's heart stopped trying to burst out of his chest. Instead an excited buzzing zipped along his skin at this new level of intimacy between them.

He was excited to see how they grew from here.

🌌 PART I: The Arab Astrologers—Names You Must Know

📝Abū Maʿshar al-Balkhī-known in Latin as Albumasar

Born in Balkh (modern Afghanistan) in 787, a former hadith scholar who turned to the stars in midlife.

His Kitāb al-Madkhal al-Kabīr (The Great Introduction) became the bedrock of European astrology when translated into Latin.

He systematized planetary natures, zodiac signs, houses, aspects, and the elements.

His “conjunction theory” argued that history moves in great cycles, marked by rare celestial alignments—especially Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions, which he claimed heralded the rise of prophets and empires.

📜 Al-Kindi – The Philosopher of the Arabs

A polymath in the Abbasid court, blending Greek philosophy with Islamic theology and celestial theory.

In De Radiis Stellarum (On the Stellar Rays), he proposed a theory of stellar influence—not superstition, but a natural force, like light or magnetism.

He laid early groundwork for what would become natural philosophy (proto-science), suggesting stars transmit influence through rays affecting Earthly matter and human temperament.

🌍 Al-Biruni – The Observer from Khwarezm

Though more astronomer than astrologer, he cataloged astrology in full without ever endorsing its claims outright.

His Kitāb al-Tafhīm contains precise definitions of astrological terms, planetary motions, and how horoscopes are calculated.

A master of cultural synthesis: he compared Greek, Indian, and Persian systems, noting their commonalities and contradictions.

Developed the astrolabe, armillary spheres, and zij tables—astronomical charts used by astrologers to pinpoint planetary positions with astonishing accuracy.

🧠 1. A Philosophical Foundation

Arabs didn’t just practice astrology—they thought about it. They debated whether the stars compel or merely incline.

Al-Farabi and later Avicenna argued the stars could only affect the body, not the soul—a blend of Neoplatonism and Islamic ethics.

The stars whisper, they do not command.

📊 2. Horoscopic Techniques Refined

Arabs inherited and enhanced horoscopic astrology from the Greeks:

Twelve Houses (Bayūt): Places in the chart signifying career, love, health, death.

Lots (Arabic Parts): Points calculated from planetary positions, like the Lot of Fortune and Lot of Spirit, used to fine-tune predictions.

Triplicities and Dignities: Systems to assess planetary strength.

Interrogations (Horary Astrology): Divining answers to specific questions, such as “Will I marry?” or “Will the king win this war?”

⚔️ 3. Political and Historical Astrology

Astrologers like Abū Maʿshar claimed that world events—plagues, conquests, religious shifts—were written in planetary cycles.

Used to time coronations, launch battles, found cities.

Caliphs would sometimes delay decisions until the astrologers said the heavens were "favorable."

The Qur’an warns against claims to know the unseen:

"Say: None in the heavens or on the earth knows the unseen except Allah." (Qur’an 27:65)

So Islamic scholars:

Allowed astronomy (for timekeeping, Qibla direction).

Permitted astrology only if used to understand natural rhythms—not fate.

Condemned fortune-telling or attributing independent power to stars.

Yet astrology persisted—not as dogma, but as courtly art, folk belief, and scientific curiosity.

🕯 PART IV: The Transmission to Europe

Translations of Arabic astrological texts into Latin via Toledo and Sicily reawakened Europe’s interest in the stars.

Terms like zenith, nadir, azimuth, almanac, and even algorithm come from Arabic.

Albumasar, Albohali, Messahala—all Arabic astrologers Latinized into the canon of European learning.

The Renaissance astrologers (like Ficino and Agrippa) drank deeply from Arab wells.

The Arabs did not merely gaze at the stars—they listened to them, charted them, debated them, and passed on their wisdom in tomes that still echo today. Astrology, as they practiced it, was never just fortune-telling—it was philosophy, poetry, medicine, and mathematics entwined in a cosmic dance.

While I was looking into Fulla dolls, I found out another Muslim fashion doll was released around the same time!

Meet Razanne! (And be prepared for a loooooong deep dive under the Keep Reading lol)

From what I've been able to piece together from various sources, she was created by Palestinian-American Ammar Saadeh and his wife Noor in 1996, being initially launched through the internet before more publicly advertised to Middle-Eastern and American audiences in 2004. Their goal was to show Muslim girls that "what matters is what's inside you, not how you look" (quoted from an interview with Greensoboro News and Record). They wanted to give them a role model with an emphasis on education and religion, while also having a career! To reflect the diversity of the global Muslim ummah, each of her dolls came in three variants: Pakistani-Indian (olive skin w/ dark hair), Black (dark skin w/ dark hair), and Caucasian (fair skin w/ fair hair).

While unfortunately she's no longer in production, the WayBack machine has a record of all her dolls released through the Noorart website! Each doll listing also includes additional information to educate on Islamic culture!

First there's Schoolgirl Razanne, whose listing reads:

"Razanne loves school and is all ready with her bright red book bag to join her friends in class. For your information…Traditional uniforms are worn by schoolgirls in Islamic schools. In addition to the usual subjects, students also study the Arabic language and the Qur'an - the Muslim Holy Book."

Next we have Teacher Razanne, whose listing reads:

"What is a more honorable and specialized career than education? Our teacher Razanne comes full equipped with lap top computer, briefcase and all the necessary items for school. For your information... Many Muslim girls study to become educators. Two-piece suits with jacket and skirt are popular styles for Muslim women who work outside the home as teachers or other professionals."

There's Playday Razanne, who unlike the prior two came with no accessories, her listing reads:

"Dressing modestly doesn't keep Razanne from having fun! On the playground, Razanne plays in her scarf and a loose fitting jumper that gives her lots of room to run and jump. For your information... Dressing modestly doesn't prevent Muslim girls from having fun outdoors! Whether biking, skating, on the playground or at the park children manage to have fun no matter where they are!"

We also have a Muslim Scout Razanne, who came with a free audiotape of Muslim Scout Cheers and a preview of We Love Muhammad! Her listing reads:

"'I'm honest, kind and trustworthy.' Muslim Scouts' organizations all over the world help build character and skills for success in this life and the next. Razanne wears her merit badges and awards earned for community service, Islamic behavior and Qur'an memorization. Respect for Allah, parents and all members of the community are a top priority with Razanne. For your information…like all Scout troops, Muslim Scouts are encouraged to excel in personal attributes such as honesty, cooperation and leadership as well as taking an active part in community service and environmental protection."

Next up there's Eid Mubarak Razanne, which came two different color variants for her outfit, her listing reading:

"Razanne is all ready to celebrate the Muslim holiday. Dressed in her new floral fashions of pink or blue, Razanne has Eid cards addressed to all her friends and is ready to deocorate the party with balloons. The perfect Eid gift for any girl! For your information… Muslims celebrate two major festivals each year. One is the Eid Al Fitr following the month-long fast of Ramadan. A second holiday occurs during the annual Pilgrimage to Makkah. Children and adults look forward to these two special days with great anticipation. Before the Eid the entire family goes out shopping for new clothes to wear for Eid Day. Early Eid morning the family meets with other members of the community for an Eid Prayer then disperse to family gatherings and other celebrations. Children are often given gifts of toys or money and families exchange delectable sweets that differ according to the region in which they live. Muslims exchange greetings of Eid Mubarak,"Eid Congratulations", Eid Saeed, "Happy Eid" and wish each other a coming year full of God's blessings. Kul 'am wa anta bi khair!"

I wasn't able to find any other images for Prayer Razanne like the others unfortunately, and apparently she came with accessories too! Her listing reads:

I'm honestly so glad I found this, because doing research into this doll has been a blast! I love the vintage vibes of her outfits with the patterns and color choices, and it makes me really happy seeing this doll being used as an educational tool for Islamic culture and practices!

Abu Huraira reported: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) was upon the mountain of Hira, ' and there were along with him Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman. 'Ali, Talha, 'Zubair, that the mountain stirred; thereupon Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: " Be calm, there is none upon you but a Prophet, a Sadiq (the testifier of truth) and a Martyr." كان النَّبيُّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ دائمَ التَّبشيرِ لأصحابِه بعُمومِ ال��يرِ في الدُّنيا والآخرةِ، وقدْ أثْنى على بعضِ الصَّحابةِ بالاسمِ وبَشَّر بعضَهم بالجنَّةِ؛ لِما لهم مِن مَكانةٍ وسَبْقٍ في الإسلامِ. وفي هذا الحديثِ يَرْوي أبو هُرَيرةَ رَضيَ اللهُ عنه أنَّ النَّبيَّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ كانَ عَلى جَبلِ حِراءٍ، وهوَ جَبلٌ مَعروفٌ بمَكَّةَ يَبعُدُ عنها 5كم تَقريبًا، وكان معه بعضُ أصحابِه، فتَحرَّكَ الجَبلُ واهتَزَّ بهم، فَقال صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ: «اسْكُنْ»، أي: اهْدأْ «حِراءُ؛ فَما عَليكَ إلَّا نَبيٌّ أو صِدِّيقٌ أو شَهيدٌ»، وكان عَليه النَّبيُّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ، وأَبو بَكرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ، وعُمرُ بنُ الخطَّابِ، وعُثمانُ بنُ عفَّانَ، وعَليُّ بنُ أبي طالبٍ، وطَلحَةُ بنُ عُبيدِ اللهِ، والزُّبيرُ بنُ العوَّامِ، وسَعدُ بنُ أَبي وَقَّاصٍ رَضيَ اللهُ عنهم. وهذه شَهادةٌ مِن النَّبيِّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ لأَبي بَكرٍ بالصِّدِّيقيَّةِ ولِلباقينَ بالشَّهادَةِ؛ فجَميعُهم مِن عُمرَ إلى الزُّبيرِ ماتُوا شُهداءَ، إلَّا سَعدًا فقدْ مات على فِراشِه، وقدْ سُمِّيَ شَهيدًا؛ لأنَّه مَشهودٌ له بالجنَّةِ، فأثبَتَ النَّبيُّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ الشَّهادةَ لبَعضِهم حَقيقةً، وللآخَرِين حُكمًا. وفي الحَديثِ: أنَّ الصِّدِّيقَ أَفضَلُ منَ الشَّهيدِ؛ لأنَّه قَدَّمه عَليه، وجَعلَه مَرتبَةً بَين النُّبوَّةِ والشَّهادةِ. وفيه: بَيانُ فَضائلِ هؤلاء الصَّحابةِ رَضيَ اللهُ عنهم. وفيه: التَّزكيةُ والثَّناءُ على الإنسانِ في وَجهِه إذا لم يُخَفْ عليه فِتنةٌ بإعجابٍ ونحوِه. الدرر السنية

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was always promising his companions good in this world and the hereafter, and he praised some of the Companions by name, and promised them Paradise because of their status and precedence in Islam.

In this hadith, Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet was on Mount Hira, which is a well-known mountain about 5km away from Makkah, and he was with some of his companions, and the mountain moved and shook. so he said, "Be still," i.e: Hira, "there is no one on you except a prophet, a Sadiq ( truthful person) or a martyr." The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was on the mountain, as did Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, Umar ibn al-Khattab, Uthman ibn Affan, Ali ibn Abi Talib, Talha bin Obaidullah, al Zubair bin al-'Awam, and Saad bin Abi waqas, may Allah be pleased with them.

This is a testimony from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to Abu Bakr of Siddiqiyyah (the testifier of truth) and the others with martyrdom; all of them, from Umar to al Zubair died as martyrs, except for Sa'd, who died on his bed. He was called a martyr because he was witnessed to paradise, so the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace attributed martyrdom to some of them in fact and to others in judgement.

In the hadith: That al-Siddiq is better than the martyr, because he put him ahead of the martyr and made him a rank between prophethood and martyrdom.

And in it: Explaining the virtues of these companions, may Allah be pleased with them. And in it: Praising and praising a person to his face if there is no fear of temptation of self-admiration and the like. translated from Al-Durr al-Sunniyyah

Salah is nur (light). Noor for the heart of the slave of Allah, for his face, for his grave and for his body.

and for this reason, you will find that that the people with the most noor on their face are those who are consistent and are often praying with concentration and humility purely for Allah.

likewise, it’s noor for the heart of man, it opens for him the door of knowledge of the rulings, attributes, actions and names of Allah, Exalted is He.

Allah calls Himself Al-Quddoos— The Most Pure, The All-Perfect— on two occasions in the Quran. He is the One who is the absolutely pure in essence and attributes. Al-Quddoos is free from and far above any worldly imperfection, and He is beyond all human understanding of purity and perfection!

The Most Pure, the All-Perfect

Quddoos comes from the root qaaf-daal-seen, which points to three main meanings. The first main meaning is to be pure and clean. The second is to be far removed from impurity or imperfection, and the third main meaning is to be sacred or blessed.

This root appears ten times in the Quran in five derived forms. Examples of these forms are al-qudusi (“the Holy [spirit]”) and al-muqadasi (“the sacred”).

Linguistically, quddoos is on the intense structure of the attribute of quds, which refers to cleanliness or tahaarah and comes from the verb qadasa. Al-Quddoos is ‘clean’ or free from any partner, spouse, or child, from death, from injustice, lying, forgetfulness, error, poverty, and stinginess. Laa ilaaha illa huwa– there is no God but He.

Al-Quddoos Himself says: He is Allah , other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure … [Quran, 59:23] Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. [Quran, 62:1]

Subhanallah and alhamdulillah

They said, ‘Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?’ [Quran, 2:30]. The angels glorify and praise Allah al-Quddoos continuously and so does the whole universe. Al-Quddoos created us human beings to worship, glorify, and praise Him as He gave us something different: our hearts.
Using the human heart to reflect on His creations, His perfection and greatness, it realizes that glorification and praise of the Creator is inevitable. So we praise and thank Al-Quddoos (alhamdulillah) and glorify Him (subhanAllah) as He is high above anything that does not befit Him. Isn’t it a blessing to have such a perfect lord, and aren’t we blessed to be able to praise Him?

How can you live by this name?

1.Have a pure belief in Al-Quddoos.
Believe in the oneness of Al-Quddoos and make sure your creed (or aqeedah) is pure by studying the types of tawheed and their practical meanings in your daily life from trustworthy sources, like Kitaab ut -Tawheed (The Book of Tawheed) by ibn Abd Al-Wahhab.

2. Praise Al-Quddoos.
Say alhamdulilah and subhanAllah from the bottom of your heart. The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam used to say in his prayer while in the bowing position (ruku): subboohun quddoosun Rabbul-malaa’ikati war-rooh (praise and Holiness be to You, Lord of the angels and the Soul). [Muslim] You can add this beautiful invocation to enhance your prayer.

3. Purify yourself through prayer.
The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam asked the companions: If someone bathes in a river outside of his house five times a day, will there be any impurity left on him? [Muslim] Visualize your prayer as cleansing your body and soul. Your prayer also protects you: indeed the prayer prevents from the indecency and evil. [Quran, 29:45]

4. Give the best sadaqah.
Give zakah (obligatory) and sadaqah (charity) to “purify” and increase your wealth. Take, [O, Muhammad], from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase. [Quran 9:103] Remind yourself when you give sadaqah to give the best, as Allah is Al-Quddoos and He deserves the best to be given for His sake. Aishah radiyalahu anha used to perfume the charity she gave!

5. Don’t be unjust.
Allah does not wrong a person even to the amount of an atom’s weight [Quran 4:40]. Even if people do dhulm (injustice) to Him, Al-Quddoos never does injustice to people. Allah ‘azza wa jall also made injustice and oppression forbidden for you; so don’t be unjust to anyone, family or stranger, child, adult or even to animals.

6. Be clean.
Be clean inside and out and strive to purify and keep renewing your intentions when you do a good deed. Be thoughtful with your wudu; do your best to not only keep your belongings and house clean, but also your environment by not throwing litter and by removing harmful objects. Consume healthy and permissable food and drink— bought with halaal earnings— and teach children this way of living.

7. Let the Quran purify you.
And who is more truthful than Allah in speech? [Quran, 4:122] The speech of Al-Quddoos is pure and is a cure, healing, and guidance for you to purify yourself. So turn to the Quran to seek cure from the diseases of your heart, let the ayaat help you to improve your character, and recite the Quran daily to clean your heart and bring tranquillity to your body.

8. Ask Al-Quddoos.
The Prophet salallahu’ alayhi wa sallam used to ask Al-Quddoos at the beginning of prayer:
اللهم باعد بيني وبين خطاياي كما باعدت بين المشرق والمغرب اللهم نقني من خطاياي كما ينقى الثوب الأبيض من الدنس اللهم ��غسلني من خطاياي بالثلج والماء والب
O Allah, distance me from my sins just as You have distanced The East from The West, O Allah, purify me of my sins as a white robe is purified of filth, O Allah, cleanse me of my sins with snow, water, and ice. [Al-Bukharee, Muslim] Use and reflect on this supplication as it contains all forms of purification: distancing (moving far away from dirt and deficiencies), removing dirt or filth, and washing or cleansing, so no impurity remains at the end.

O Allah, Al-Quddoos, we know that You are the absolutely pure beyond imagination. Lead us to a sound belief in Your oneness, help us in purifying our hearts, deeds, and intentions, and guide us to purify our bodies and keep our environment clean. Aid us in performing the best salah, giving the best charity, and helping us to turn to the Quran so we can come to You with a pure heart, ameen!

ramadan 30 day challenge

introducing the ramadan 30 day challenge!

I made this challenge in the hopes of catering to as many people as I can - so, regardless of anyone's home situation, health, money, whether or not you live near a mosque or a community etc, I think it is somewhat do-able or adaptable for all! you can access anything you need for this (verses/surahs from the Qur'an for eg) online. I also know that for some people (depending on countries etc), ramadan is either 29 or 30 days, so it's fine to finish on the 29th day if necessary.

if you miss a couple days as well (or end up seeing this post halfway through ramadan), just pick up from whatever day of ramadan it is!

it starts off easy and gets harder as you go along! i'm also going to be doing this ramadan challenge and posting my own updates on here, Insha’Allah! if you do this too, please do tag me because I would love to see how people are getting on! ♡ here it is:

recite surah ikhlas 3 times

recite durood sharif 3 times

read Qur'an after asr

recite the 3 Quls (last 3 surahs of the Qur'an) in the evening/before sleeping today

listen to an islamic podcast

write down 5 things you are grateful to Allah for on paper or phone notes app

istighfar 100 times

read all of surah mulk before bed

wake up for tahajjud and pray (at least) 2 rakaats

learn 5 names/attributes of Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ

do something nice for somebody else - can even be very small and will still be rewarded for it

wear your favourite abaya/thobe/modest clothing for every salah today. look your best for Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ in your prayer like you would to go to a special event

give some (charity) sadaqah (create a sadaqah jar/box!)

read the last 2 verses of surah baqarah before sleeping

make a du'a for your friends and family - name them and pray for something specific for each of them

read all of surah Ya Sin after fajr

pray 2 nafl rakaats (voluntary prayer) today after the 2 sunnah rakaats of zuhr

no backbiting/gossiping about anyone at all and 2 nafl rakaats (voluntary prayer) if you do

pick a surah from the Qur'an and read the commentary for each verse

memorise the dua to recite on laylatul qadr اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي Allahumma innaka 'Afuwwun, tuhibbul 'afwa, fa'fu 'anni "O Allah, You are indeed Forgiving and love to forgive, so forgive me."

donate to a charity (for palestine!!). even the smallest amount will be beneficial + rewarded by Allah

recite ayatul kursi after each 5 fard (obligatory) salah

pray all the 12 sunnah today: 2 rakaats before Fajr; 4 rakaats before zuhr and two rakaats after; 2 rakaats after Maghrib; and 2 rakaats after Ishaa

pray (at least) 2 rakaats of taraweeh (either at the mosque or at home by yourself/with family!)

pray 2 rakaats of duha (optional) prayer - it is between 15 minutes after sunrise until zuhr time. (not after zuhr!!)

recite subhanallahi wabihamdi, subhanallahil adheem 100 times - (Glory be to Allah and all praise is due to Him, glory be to Allah, the Great)

be extra modest today (tailored to you. wear hijab outside if you don't, or wear your loosest outfit or lower your gaze completely (including lowering it on social media) today etc. whatever being extra modest is for you, do that today).

pray on time, no procrastination or delays. check what local time each prayer is for you and pray then (unless you're praying at the mosque!)

istighfar x1000 times

pray some of the nawafil ON TOP OF all the sunnah prayers that accompany the 5 obligatory prayers: - 2 rakaats of duha prayer - 2 rakaats after the 2 sunnah rakaats of zuhr - 4 rakaats before asr - 2 rakaats after the 2 sunnah rakaats of maghrib - 2 rakaats after the 2 sunnah rakaats of ishaa (extra challenge: wake up for tahajjud too)

level extreme: if you want an extra extra challenge, you can continue doing each one every day as you go along. so day 1 would be recite surah ikhlas 3 times and day 2 would be recite surah ikhlas and durood sharif 3 times, day 3 would be recite surah ikhlas and durood sharif 3 times and read Qur'an after asr... and you get the gist. if you do this, good luck on day 30 when you have 30 things to do lol

note: giving sadaqah (charity) can be adapted if donating money is a struggle - for eg, doing dhikr on behalf of somebody else can count as sadaqah. click here for more info on this.

may Allah make this challenge easy for whoever intends to participate and let the deeds indeed be multiplied by 100 this ramadan and forgive us for our shortcomings, Ameen ♡
