I was about to start learning to use Blender since I finally have a good laptop BUT the program shuts down when changing the viewport shading mode and when switching to the shading window... (⁠ ⁠ꈨຶ⁠ ⁠˙̫̮⁠ ⁠ꈨຶ⁠ ⁠) i know its not my laptop bc i just saw a couple of videos of people trying blender on my laptop model -and characteristics ofc-... Also saw a couple of reddit threads of ppl having a similar (but not the same) issue and I don't know how to fix it OTL i'm crying -notreally but man...- i was excited haha :')

I won't give up tho, but I'll let it be for now -sobs- cause my brain can't deal with it rn

The Kar is eepy

I figured out how to rig in blender (it's my first time, be nice 😡/j)

Her hair, flowers and shoulder move very slightly (I didn't make the bases correctly so there was only so much I could do). The gif is more saturated than the artwork itself because Blender desaturated the colours and I tried to fix it lmao

I referenced this while making it because of course I saw it and went "Kara Detroit !?"

Also Kara in the suit (caption I stole from somewhere I don't remember)

The og idea for this was themed around gambling and how 80% of Kara's life is a 50/50, it didn't translate well so I reused the line art. Will probably reattempt in the late future idk

there is some clipping on the may biker suit and the chezile pants!

it's fairly minor on the biker suit (just below the zipper), and unfortunately more noticeable on the chezile pants with max muscular/fat sims (due to where the cut outs are and how the skin faces are, there was only so much i could delete without there being exposed gaps)

i will do my best to fix these clipping issues! i will update this post when i do.

2) if these items show up as red and white with question marks, then you need to add the originals to your mods for them to show up properly.

I know Demoman must’ve been angry when he heard that Soldier accepted the offer of a weapon over his best friend, that must’ve really hurt

I also think that after that anger first initially came, he must’ve felt like the most dogshit ever. Like, depression had to hit him like a fucking freight train.

Your best friend chose a weapon over you?…Hearing that must’ve hurt so fucking bad.

Did that mean a literal weapon, an object even, was better than him? Something that could be bought? Something that could even just be handed to you as a bribe? That was better?..

Said it before and I'll say it again but instance on the hardcore splitting of aromantic & asexual does so much harm to people who’re both. Those who don’t experience any attraction whether they Identify specifically as aroace or just ace or aro are often left in the dust and treated like ignorant interlopers or "bad stereotypes" for daring to express ourselves.

It’s even more frustrating when people in the “community” pretend to be accepting of aroaces/non SAM Aces/aros…except not really because they’re quick to say how our identities/existence is “harmful/conflating/a stereotype”

Crazy that aroaces were here first we built the communities that seek discard us! In the early days Asexual was originally just used for people who didn’t experience sexual AND romantic attraction, it got adjusted to include alloaces. The aromantic lable only exists BECAUSE of aroaces creating a separation from alloaces.

I’m not particularly angry or upset that ace/aro are inclusive of a wider range of experiences, it’s just so fvcked how the very people who built up both communities are treated like trash, worthless embarrassing leeches that make the alloaces & alloaros look bad. Ffs there wouldn't even be a community to shunt people out of if it wasn’t for “aroaces”. But y'all aren't ready for that conversation.

And before y'all start, yes aro and ace are different but honestly if you're both no they really aren't. Tbh alloaces & alloaros, the only reason some of you insist they are just so completely different and have nothing to do with eachother is because you aren't both and you don't understand other ace/aro experiences and latch on hard/overemphasise your allo orientations. Because imagine how crazy it'll sound if people started insisting that "Bisexual" & "biromantic" are totally different and have absolutely no crossover or overlap whatsoever...you see how insane that would sound.

Do you think Dooku ever had a big think about his lineage? I mean, so many colorful characters besides the ones we know best are there and he must have pondered the orb about them. Kantam Sy running off to join the circus because of a hunky acrobat. Lula holding off knighthood because she married a Mikkian. And that’s still the back half of Yoda’s line!

Thinking about that, you kind of get why Yoda was so chill when Dooku called him up to resign from the Order. Dooku looking a lil’ half-electrocuted and manic with his hair all sticking up and lower lip a-tremble, just got done cutting his mean brother in half? Dooku: I’m the Count now okay? 🥺👉👈are you mad Yoda: Oh, fine that is - keep your lightsaber you should!

You know Yoda’s quietly rolling his eyes: back he will be in six months, seen this before I have, acting out for attention he is. I bet it took years for him to actually reassign Dooku’s quarters, especially cause Dooku himself kept trotting back to the Temple to do laundry, meddle with his Padawans’ lives, and receive Lifeday presents. 

I suspect most Padawans do spend time learning about their lineage because it’s a tangible link that connects living Jedi to the past and future. Individual bloodlines of unique training approaches and philosophies that combine and iterate to keep the Order flourishing and diverse. (Resisting the urge to just copy/paste the gorgeous “when you kill a Jedi, you kill the future” lineage passage in the most recent chapter of Galaxies.) Dooku must have studied Yoda’s upstream lineage just because it is just so culturally important. 

However, personality-wise, I don’t see Dooku enjoying those stories. Dooku seems to have a rather large jealous streak when it comes to his Master paying attention to anything that isn’t him, including uh, inanimate trees and Anakin Skywalker. I suspect he feels a dull, familiar ache of resentment, anxiety, and competition when he thinks about the Jedi in his line who came before. 

The idea that he wasn’t the first, could possibly not be the best, won't be the last - I don’t know, it seems like a heady combo of ingredients for a classic Dooku abandonment issues freakout.

By contrast, Dooku is very positive about his downstream lineage. I think that obsession is motivated largely by how they reflect back on him, tangible living proof of his success as a Master and Jedi - ironically, which persists and even increases during his Sith years. And I don't mean that cynically: if his feelings about earlier lineage represent his core fears of inadequacy, his own lineage is proof of the loving work he has put into other people and the future of the Order. I think it's one of the only ways he's able to access truly feeling good about himself. It's why Qui-Gon's killing is such a psychic blow.

Mesh in Milkshape gets black spots when decimating or turns completly black??

So, I am finally converting some new things. These clothes are all from the same Sims 4 creator, who also converts these items from a different game into Sims 4. As soon as I plop the Item into Milkshape and decimate it with DirectX Mesh Tool it gets black spots.

I know that it can come from double vertex or something? Sometimes it also turns completly black... I googled and tried everything I found but it wasn't all really helpful. T_T I really love the pieces I picked out to convert and it seems like all are like this. I finished a pair of boots before this top which had the same issue, but it was easy fixed in MS when I clicked the vertex and moved it a little up or down, but it doesn't always work, as on this Longsleeve. Anyone able to help me please? 🥲 Would be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
