YOU GUYS..... I wasn't joking at all...
Anyways, empress Odalia AU (may or may not change the name later). Basically Odalia and Alador divorce shortly after Amity's birth. While Alador is left to take care of three kids, Odalia ends up marrying Belos + becomes the new head oracle. Stonks!!!
+ insane ramblings about how their relationship could work out
bro. i'm thinking abt belodalia and they're. actually. so good for each other??? if they get together, that is.
for belos it would be so rough at first bc he willingly went against all his beliefs, same path as his brother. and now he knows for sure that the witch did not cast a spell on him (at least this one wouldn't dare). so that means that he??? fell in love with her??? on his own accord???? does this mean he should die, too?????? i wonder if he comes to terms w that and starts to be more chill about witches after that. pussy could literally save this man.
as for odalia, from what i remember she is very career-driven and is obsessed w success and money. i think being the emperor's wife very much takes care of that. there are not many things that can top that, so i'd like to think she also becomes more pleasant to be around.
also belos struggles with the fact that there's a witch who dares talk back to him (ik it's probably wouldn't be the case in the show but i'd like to make her more of a girlboss). and odalia is very much not used to a not having submissive husband for once (alador made her way too confident). in the end i think they'd be pretty equal.
馃憜 takes two horrible characters and makes them have a (somewhat) healthier relationship that helps them become better people

Hi! I love your writing sm!!! Could I request how the boys + k枚nig would react to a reader with curly hair? (We鈥檙e talking tight, kinky coily curls)
COD:MWII Boys w/a curly-haired partner
rating: PG-13
character(s): GN!Reader, Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, John Price, John "Soap" McTavish, Simon "Ghost" Riley, Gary "Roach" Sanderson, K枚nig, Hound
warning(s): none
a/n: aw thank you! And I love this request!! I'm not someone with curly, kinky hair, but I hear a lot about how they're super underrepresented. Even I'm tired of the "brushed his hand through your hair" or the "y/n with a messy bun/straight hair" bc PLEASSEE, my hair is a rat's nest, this would not work 馃拃 Anyways, I hope I did you justice and lmk if I got anything wrong!!
Gaz
Let's be honest, it's nothing new to him. He's experienced with coily, kinky hair, whether it be himself or his family or a friend.
I actually like to think he experimented with longer hairstyles before cutting it for military.
He gets you the most out of all of them, honestly. Knows exactly what you mean when you need a certain product or talk about maintenance, doesn't belittle you when you get upset over your hair, and helps a lot, too.
He doesn't have to do as much maintenance, so he doesn't use too much product, but sometimes he'll eye yours and make a note to try some for himself.
Since you and Gaz can trust each other, you sometimes have nights where you help style each other, just to spend some quality time.
Also yes, you guys have matching bonnets, it was actually his idea. You guys take so many pics together, too.
Gaz will notice if your hair looks healthier or fresher, and while he always thinks your curls are beautiful, he'll make extra compliments so that you know that he pays attention.
Oh, and if you do something special with it? He's all over you, all like, "What's the special occasion? Or am I just lucky today?"
Price
Your hair was one of the many reasons Price had noticed you so much, particularly because the military didn't really allow room for soldiers to do much with their hair and most have to gel it down if necessary.
When you tell him about the amount of care that goes into it, he starts thinking that his facial hair routine isn't so bad after all.
Once you get together, he starts looking into the product you need to get.
Unfortunately, he will have a bit of a hard time, so it's probably best if you show him the ropes for stuff like oils for protective styles, specific tools you use, etc. Otherwise, he'll be wandering around the aisle for a while. Please.
Sometimes, there'll be days where both of you guys take up the bathroom and go through your routines together, it's a pretty good way for him to learn your process and for you to learn his. There's a mutual respect.
Realistically, I don't think you would let either party take over for each other. At least, not for a long time.
If you put on a real nice outfit and let your natural hair out, oh this man will be on his knees, so use that information wisely.
Soap
Ooo, he's obsessed, I'm telling ya!!
Definitely gets stunned at how much it takes for you to take care of those curls, but not surprised that it's so difficult.
He does kinda wonder how you deal with it if you're someone that's on the battlefield.
You definitely had to tell him off for toying with it once, and he has stopped, but it's taking every inch of him to keep his ADHD ass from mindlessly twirling one between his fingers whenever you guys cuddle. But he isn't gonna do it! Unless you let him, then he loves how the texture feels.
You won't admit it, but sometimes you only let him touch it because of how happy it makes him, and you know he's being as respectful as possible.
He'll always be your #1 hype man too! Loves it when you experiment!!
You've definitely caught him wearing your bonnet multiple times, too.
One time, you decided to tease him by guiding him to help you detangle your hair, and frustration was absolutely worth it.
He got so pouty afterward when he had to give up, but you let him know he did a good job trying.
Ghost
He doesn't mean to be rude but he's definitely like "Can't be that bad."
And then you show him your grocery list.
It is that bad.
He gets frustrated and just buys one of everything, walking out of the store with like a dozen bags. He memorizes the ones you pick so there's that at least.
Don't mind him, he's just a bit blunt because he'll then ask, "Why don't you just cut/gel it?". Just explain it, and he'll respect your choice, though it intimidates him a little.
At one point, you're actually the one that lets him feel your hair, so he knows what it's like. He would never touch it unless invited, he's got too much self-control. People also become too intimidated by him to try to touch your hair too, so that's a plus.
It oddly soothes him, he likes how the texture feels on his fingers and especially when it's softer than usual.
One time, you used your own hand to help guide his through your hair, and oh man, was he flustered. Mans was glitching out for a few seconds.
Roach
He thinks your curls are so cute,
Like he literally can't stop watching you because of how they move when you walk.
On occasions where you let him touch it, you'll find that whenever you both are close to each other and really deep in an activity or conversation, he'll absent-mindedly roll a curl between his fingers.
His hands are good for many things, signing, fighting, and other fun stuff. Styling your hair is included!
One of his favorite things to do is help you find and try new styles with your hair. Roach loves looking up and researching about your hair type and what you can do with it, he finds it all super interesting!
Often buys you clips, beads, or whatever he thinks is pretty so you can try it on!
Loves to kiss your head because of how your hair tickles his face a little. He's been tempted to just bury his face in the back of your neck just to plant a bunch of kisses on more than one occasion.
On days where you put extra care into your curls, he's absolutely showing you off to everyone! He wants others to know how hard you worked to look so damn good!! (Gary says it's a full-time job, really)
K枚nig
Expect to find him staring all starstruck a lot.
Like a lot.
When you tell him it's your natural hair, he's surprised, he thought you just did a lot of work to make your curls so coily.
He once asked (very) politely if he could touch your hair, and because he was (extremely) nice about it, you let him.
Only for him to panic when the velcro from his glove got caught and he apologized a dozen times over. Afterwards, he treated you like porcelain, keeping his hands straight at his sides around you and acting like a spooked animal.
It got to a point where you had to confront him and tell him it was an honest mistake, and he didn't have to apologize which made him apologize more.
On the other hand, K枚nig enjoys watching you do your hair, just sitting there quietly with the occasional question. Sometimes, he helps comb your hair, but that's the most he'll let himself do since he doesn't want to mess things up.
Really loves how your products smell.
While he thinks you look amazing no matter what, he likes it best when you go natural.
Hound
Knows a lot more than you expected. They aren't well-versed, but they know more than the average person when it comes to the deal with kinky hair.
They'll go out with you on shopping trips and often help you pick out scents, one that you like but one that isn't too sensitive for their nose, it's something you didn't expect them to enjoy so much.
You can trust her to always have stuff on hand for you if you live separately or in different quarters. Oils, creams, custards, moisturizers, a hair pick (all from your fave brands, of course), she's got you.
He surprises you again when you come home one day, way too tired to do your routine, so he offers to do it for you.
If this was a test, they passed!! They even knew how to brush your hair the right way not to damage it and had already refilled some of your stock.
After that, you often find him helping on wash days when you're far too exhausted, as his way of pampering you. His favorite thing is doing your edges.
Her scary dog privileges also help ward off weirdos trying to touch your hair, and much like Soap, she hypes you up regardless if it's a frizzy day or a special occasion.
Expect them to be mildly addicted to the way your hair smells, it's literally one of their comforts because of how much it reminds them of you.

Things I would immediately change about landscaping/the landscaping industry in America if I could (after supporting my family by doing garden maintenence since 2019, and being an avid life long gardener and plant person):
1. Make people realize that any style that is based on cutting back plants multiple times per year to "maintain their shape" or keep them from getting "overgrown" is rooted in the idea of conspicuous consumption and is not actually the only, or best, choice. It exists to show off the fact that you have enough wealth to do work without a yield other than short-lived aesthetics and conformity. This includes: lawns, boxwoods, any shrub/vine/tree/fern cut into a box/sphere/cylinder, shrubs/trees that are maintained at a (small) fraction of their mature size, etc.
2. Make people realize that we don't need to be watering as much as we do. Through thoughtful plant selection and the power of mulch, you wouldn't need to water at all during "normal" weather. If you live in a desert, you live in a desert, and unless they're making food or medicine, most of your plants should be able to live in a desert (I really hate saying should though, so maybe just start by learning about the native plants in your area and the role they play in the ecosystem. I'm pretty sure you'll end up falling in love with at least a few of them).
3. Convince people that you can use native plants in your garden, in an aesthetically pleasing way, while reducing the amount of watering, soil amendments, and fussing in general that's needed, while also supporting native animal species. Talk about a win-win! I mean, people go to great lengths to look at natural beauty, and then work. so. hard. to prevent that beauty from showing up in their yards.
5. Finally get people to understand that landscape fabric does not work as advertised/ makes it so you don't have to weed ever. It was apparently intended as an underlayment to rocks, gravel, etc, to prevent them from sinking into the earth over time, according to my boss who actually has a degree in landscape design.
6. If a plant is struggling, year after year, it's probably the wrong plant for that place. It's better to pick plants that are well adapted to your climate, and they'll be less stressed. Plants that aren't stressed are less vulnerable. Less vulnerable plants mean healthier plants that are less likely to have an infection or infestation. And look better. And stress you out less. Unless that's your hobby, and you know it, in which case have fun.
7. If you don't enjoy gardening, you don't need to have a garden. If you don't enjoy a lawn, you don't need to have a lawn. Having land that you're responsible for should be a joy, and if it's not, there is no shame in either not having land, or, letting someone who otherwise wouldn't have access to gardening space take care of it.
I'm sure I'll think of more.

Overanalyzing 4KOTA Chapter 142 instead of just waiting for more info (1/2?)
Honestly? I'm writing King's side of this separately, because it's about time I started talking about him here l and I know I can go on forever about him. That field of over-analysis needs its own house. I would go off about him first but then I'd forget his kids entirely and I don't want to do that to them... Speaking of--
Tumblr media
So silly. So precious. Berte is so Helbram-coded and I'm sure that's intentional resemblance.
You know...I wonder which of their traits were inherited from Diane's parents. Probably the golden hair on almost half of them at least. Sixtus and Tioreh's pink hair looks more like a genetic mutation...unless their hair color is inherited from the leaf color of the Sacred Tree? That's possible too.
Tumblr media
Diane seems less energetic since becoming a mother. She's settled down and has been shown to be gentle more often than bubbly, which was the impression she gave me in the original series. I'm assuming she hasn't fought since entering the Fairy Realm, too. She's put the stress of the Holy War behind her, and I'm happy that she seems content with her lots of babies. I wonder if she'll get to hear about Dolores once the current issues are over. I'm sure hearing she's Nasiens's adoptive big sister will be a shock. Diane deserves to know that.
Tumblr media
The way Tioreh says this makes me suspect Puck is the one behind Nasiens and Myrtel's switcheroo. He must really love that "prank" in that case. Regardless of who was behind it, though, that's actually fucked up. A fairy trolled their own king by swapping their first child with a human, probably knowing exactly what issues both kids would be put in. I can't call this just a prank. I love King to death, but his people are their own kind of awful...
Tumblr media
For this moment, let's glance back at how she reacted to that news at first.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tioreh must have been suspecting this the whole time Nasiens was here, but this reveal may be the moment she started to seriously believe it, if not when Nasiens admitted to feeling healthier in the Fairy Realm. After this, she started to open up about her siblings more and telling Nasiens that he's like them--especially like Phao. All of this is stuff that Nasiens didn't know about since he met her two years ago. All of the tension in this family over Nasiens and Myrtel has been building up for so long...and right now we're watching it all cave in. I'm sure King and Diane had good intentions for hiding the truth, but hiding it's not working anymore.
Tumblr media
And Diane knows it's not working anymore. I'm stuck on her asking "Is that bad for you?" Why is she asking that of all things? Is that what King and Diane were so worried about when they decided to never come out about this? Did they think their kids would be upset with having a human for an older brother?
Okay, but maybe that's not all that they considered. Maybe they got worried about how their people outside of their family would react to their theories being confirmed. If that happened, as unfortunate as it is, Mertyl would probably get more ostracized than he was. With that in mind, I'm sure his parents made that choice to protect him from some of the problems he'd inevitably go through. It's a nice thought that way, but this was still a bad call. They made too many assumptions of their own kids' feelings.
Tumblr media
In other news...Phao was lurking... Now they're all gonna know and clear up this misunderstanding with their parents, right?
Anyway, I feel like I've written too much for one post, so I'll go on about the rest of the chapter tomorrow. Closing this part with this:

Background details/me blabbing about my askblog yaaay!! Mostly because it's difficult for me to get motivated as it is! Plus maybe after being inactive for 2 years (rip 馃拃) this will help pique interest? Idk I just wanna talk about my sillies tbh. And the Axolotl needs a break you know? My guy's watching over an entire multiverse.
First off. The post about my LGBTQIA+ headcanons here: https://www.tumblr.com/craycray-wolf/737090570384703488/while-in-wait-for-the-book-of-bill-already-hard?source=share
It's still accurate to how I feel about the characters...mostly. In the time since I made this post, I have since been converted to "Grunkle Stan is bi" and I'm now preaching the Good Word 馃
Anyway with that now amended, here's some stuff!
I originally made the majority of the posts about where everyone is now back in 2022, when I intended to have the blog launched as part of the 10th anniversary of Gravity Falls airing.
Well clearly that didn't pan (馃┓馃挍馃挋馃嵆) out but maybe it was so it could instead coincide with all the revelations from TBoB! Life is kinda a beautiful thing sometimes.
Anyway point being, I'll have to tweak the timeline a bit. Which is fine because I wanted Dippin Dots and Mabes to hold some jobs before college anyway so really my lack of updating is just an excuse for this. That's the major point I could think of but if I didn't properly consider others please sound off 馃摚 (yes I'm a cringe emoji user AND I'M PROUD)
Soos and Melody are still attempting to conceive because they want at least one bio child if they can but they're working on adoption.
Many assume Gus Burnside to be missing or worse dead. But maybe... he's still out there somewhere...with his physical body fulfilling a deal. But y'know! No one can say for certain!
To be completely honest I'm still figuring out my interpretation of Bill's backstory. Sorry about that.
Though the reason the Axolotl has contacted our dimension to begin with has to do with his concern...about a certain someone. And who better to give a helping hand than the fandom and the Zodiac?
Since Stan taught Wendy how to hot wire vehicles and whatnot, they one day found a fairly intact Harley motorcycle in the dump. They fix it up together and Stan declares it hers. This is where her Harley previously mentioned in other posts comes from.
When did this happen? I've always assumed the Stans come back to land from time to time, including some summers. So likely during summer but a holiday could work too!
Mabel loves being a passenger. Dipper not so much unless he clings tight. Wendy installs a seat back at some point and this helps ease his anxiety. A little. He likes seeing the scenery though so he'll bare through it if asked to ride. Not to mention he cares for Wendy and thus doesn't want to deny her sharing her joy.
Robbie probably figured out he wanted to be an anime artist while doodling in college classes he wasn't paying attention to. Either he was in generals or some other degree at this point. He only drew in private during high school.
THIS NEXT SECTION WILL BE SHIPS 馃毃 YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Pacifica during her high school/diner years thought she like liked Dipper. And well, she was Dipper's rebound crush so at around 15 or so they dated for a while. Pacifica however eventually realizes she's actually a lesbian and was misinterpreting her care for Dippin Dots, as well as thinking she only had so many options initially. Dipper realizes it was to cope with Wendy.
Therefore they cut off romantic ties on good terms and continue to be good friends.
(I have nothing against Dipcifica, it's cute. I'm just personally a Mabcifica person and enjoy my lesbian Pacifica hc)
In their early college years Mabel and Pacifica become girlfriends, LET'S GOOOOOO
Candy and Dipper have began to catch each other's eyes... they've healed from the events of Roadside Attraction in the years since and now they can have a healthier relationship in several ways. I WILL DIE FOR THIS SHIP OKAY
Fiddleford and Ford are sweet old man boyfriends. Though romance baffles Ford it makes enough sense with Fiddleford.
Stan is Stan. Though maybe all of his family coming out awakes something in him... something new to explore about himself...
Past Billford will likely be discussed at some point, though they haven't been a thing for decades and it was toxic to begin with.
Grenda and Marius are of course married 鉂わ笍 Candy, Mabel, and Pacifica were her bridesmaids. Mabel and Candy were piling over each other trying to get the bouquet, though Wendy catches it. Uninterested in marriage she throws it back out and reflexively Dipper catches it. After confused for a solid moment he tosses it and finally Pacifica then catches it.
_________
SHIP SECTION FINISHED 鈿狅笍
The Pines Twins revisit Gravity Falls every summer until their high school graduation. Well *maybe* they go one more after graduation but then they have job schedules to contend with.
One of those summers (probably when the Mystery Twins are 15) their parents surprise them with a visit! But then they start to question everything because y'know. Weird town.
Eventually the truth comes out about everything, and they better understand their kids.
It wasn't the easiest summer but an important one.
They let their children return because they know how dearly they love their time there, albeit with ground rules established.
As for their jobs, Mabel was a barista and Dipper restocked shelves at a grocery store.
Dipper now has come to care for his birth name and birthmark. He still likes going by Dipper but he insists that only those close with him use the name. The only reason he still wears bangs is that his hairstyle is just comfortable and familiar. This also keeps his birthmark special as only some get to see it (in full).
Mabel still loves knitting and sweaters, but she's experimented a lot with fashion throughout the years. She now has more variety in her wardrobe than sweaters and skirts.
The twins live in dorms with a couple roommates and return back to their childhood home during holidays and summer. They intend to live in Gravity Falls once they get all their education/credentials.
Waddles is an old man but still kickin'. The parents were initially upset with his presence but were convinced by Stan to begrudgingly keep him. They grew to care for the piggy as well.
The family cat (Sniffles) has since passed :(
They have a dog (Honey) now though! She was a puppy from a dog Dipper once dogsat. The owners didn't realize said dog was preggo. It was a whole thing. Anyway Mabel loves putting her in cute outfits that match Waddles, something she used to do with Sniffles.
Mabel is a k-pop multistan (originating from Candy and Grenda introducing it to her) and absolutely loves drinking boba/jelly milk tea. Dipper likes the sound of k-pop music but isn't a fan the same way his sister is. He likes milk tea but the boba pearls themselves freak him the heck out.
There's a lot more but I'm blanking 馃お

Oh wow you actually give quite good advice. Got any advice for highschoolers? I just started my freshman year (although probably some advice won鈥檛 be terribly applicable since the entire school is 25 people and my class is 4 kids, but it鈥檚 worth a shot. Also it might help other people.)
YES! I DO! So I went to a year and a half of high school before moving up to college and I HATED it. Here are some tips that would have made it suck less.
Learn to have a thicker skin. Easier said than done, I KNOW, but if someone says something mean to you, you can't let it bother you forever. Accept that they're just an asshole or are insecure and taking it out on others, and move on. Your worth is not defined by what some 14 year old bitch says about you.
It is not lame to have a good relationship with teachers! Talk to them, hang out with them during lunch, don't care what anyone else thinks.
Pack yourself a lunch every single day. Its healthier and you'll have more time to hang out during lunch.
Get involved! Join clubs, do student government or debate, do cast or crew for the fall musical. I did costumes for my freshman fall musical, and it's how I met one of my best friends who is still my best friend almost 5 years later (if you're reading this, you know who you are. ily <3)
Don't feel pressured to dress a certain way for fashion trends. I was a freshman in 2019/2020 so vsco girl/cottage core/""alt"" (that wasn't even really alternative) were very popular and I basically didn't wear any of my favorite clothes for a while. Just do what makes you happy.
Get a 504 or an IEP (educational/school accommodation plans) if you need one. They're life savers (if anyone wants another post on what was on my 504 for accommodations, lmk!)
Your body is inevitably going to change. Most people gain weight when they're in high school. Despite being a teenager, you are still a CHILD. Your body isn't going to look like an instagram model's. Don't let it get to you.
Always carry around pads or tampons with you. Even if you don't have periods. You never know when you or someone you know will get a surprise period.
Bring deodorant in your backpack every day. You will need it, even if you apply it in the morning.
Don't be that person who puts on heavy perfumes or body sprays in class. Just don't.
Take honors/AP classes if you can! They're honestly not that much more difficult and they look great on your record.
Do every single extra credit assignment!
Use google docs for everything
Take notes in every class, even if you already know the subject and notes aren't required.
Learn to study in high school, even if you don't need to. You WILL need to study in college and it's good to already know your studying style.
Take lots of photos! Even if you are insecure. You don't have to look at them, but someday you'll want to have them. I was deeply insecure in high school and have barely any photos of myself, and I deeply regret that.
You know those posts that are like "life may suck but at least I'm not 15 again"? Those posts are real. High school is NOT AT ALL the best years of your life, despite what everyone may tell you. Things can always get better.
Try not to date much in high school. Statistically, you are not going to marry your freshman year partner. Even if you think they're "the one", don't take it super seriously. You both have a lot of developing to do.
DO NOT EVER IN YOUR LIFE DATE A SENIOR AS A FRESHMAN. YOU ARE NOT MATURE FOR YOUR AGE. IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU COOL. THEY ARE NOT DIFFERENT OR SPECIAL. A 17/18 YEAR OLD HAS ABSOLOUTLEY NO BUSINESS DATING A 14/15 YEAR OLD. DO NOT GO THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is a LOT of pressure to lose your virginity in high school. That is bullshit. It's okay to not have sex until later. It's okay to never have sex. Anyone who tries to pressure you or tell you otherwise, is NOT someone you want in your life. The right sexual partner will respect your boundries and not try to pressure you into anything.

For me, I try to keep in mind that EoS is inevitable for all live service games. Destiny has at least gotten a satisfying end to the main story arc and some really fun epilogue content (and the rest of this year's is on track, as you said). If it goes down after this, well, it had a much better run than plenty of other games I've seen end. But also this might easily just be us heading into a lull period while they figure out a direction for a more content in the future. Stepping back a bit for some breathing room to figure out a healthier approach that will entice players without being unsustainable for the employees is hopefully just what they need.
Well said and agreed!
Expansions have always been the biggest money makers for Destiny, which is also why a lot of people are concerned. This is a perfectly valid concern of course. Unfortunately the problem with expansions is that while they're a huge reward, they're also a huge risk. If an expansion fails, that's a lot of resources and effort put into something that spirals the game down, which then requires more resources to make up for it. It's something that people tend to ignore and not really talk about when it comes to yearly expansions and how much they mean.
I know it's probably at least a little naive to think that all of this is for a positive outcome in the future. But even then, I still think it's a good idea, as a concept, to stop pushing for yearly expansions when we know for a fact that some of them simply don't end up as well received as others. Making a really loved expansion every 2-3 years is better than inundating players with expansions every year, of which people will not enjoy most of them. Maybe a different model will help with this so I'm willing to give it a chance without going into it with negative expectations.

ok first things first.. hi c4 hows it going?
anyway im currently brainstorming another new pl oc so i have a few questions: how would the milos react if someone outside of eris not just loved him, but desperately tried to distance him from eris because they can see how bad of an influence they are on him? at what point would milo(s) be too far gone to be reasoned with? would he push the person trying to advise him away? hurt them? threaten them? etc. what would he do if that person went the extra mile and tried to/downright killed eris? im especially wondering bc i know milo(s) just want to be loved and accepted which is what eris makes him feel, so would someone else loving him in a healthier way actually manage to free him from eris? hehe... sorry gotta know what to do with the newest silly
Hi luz, how are you doing. I hope you're not losing the daily Milo fanart steam you got going on.
I think PreMilo would be confused at first and nervous. I mean Eris seems like a good person... but I don't think that this other person would be lying so... He would be pretty wary for a bit... at least until Eris can convince him otherwise.
Manipulation Milo would probably act very concerned but he doesn't actually care and this person has just put a target on themselves. He would definitely act as if this new person is their savior before getting rid of them.
Violence Milo is not pleased they would even suggest that they are a bad influence. After all, they made him stronger and less pathetic than he was before. Sleep with one eye open because if he doesn't injure you then and there he will.
It's hard to say at what point they're already too far gone. I think in the beginning of each of Violence and Manipulation routes they still have a chance to be reformed (like how Desmond was), but near the end of it, it would be extremely hard to reverse at all. It also depends on how Eris trains them if him if he would push away, threaten or hurt them. Trying to kill or successfully killing Eris would lead to Milo hunting them down using whatever they learned from Eris.
Would loving him in a healthier way help them? Or would it just warp them in a worse way? I think its the second option. Even PreMilo already has some yandere tendencies you know.

At this point, I feel like Lukanette and Adrigami would have worked better as the endgame ships.
Luka's calm presence balances Marinette's anxiety. They're always working towards a common creative goal.
Adrien encourages Kagami to rebel and have fun like he did while Kagami encourages Adrien to be more assertive.
I think you'd probably hate Lukanette and Adrigami if they got as much focus as the love square. The little we saw of them really didn't paint them as meaningfully healthier.
Lukanette painted Luka as an overly indulgent and overly passive pushover who was written more like a mentor than a boyfriend. I was straight up uncomfortable with how fine he was with being a clear rebound. The scene where the kwamis sent him pictures of the Adrien posters in Marinette's room right before their date made me want to grab him by the shoulders and shout, "She is not ready to date you yet! Don't settle like this!"
He could clearly communicate the issues he eventually had with the obvious lying, so he's not a total pushover, but I think Marinette needs someone a little less chill and indulgent and Luka needs someone a little more self aware who is willing to push him a bit.
That's actually why I like Lukagami if I must pick a canon pairing for him. I could totally see Kagami blowing up at him for being so passive whereas Marinette would likely remain oblivious to the passivity. Something like that scene from Risk where Kagami blew up on Adrien:
Kagami:聽(angrily)聽Adrien, I saw you on TV this morning, and I know that you聽don't聽want to leave. Once again, you let your聽father聽decide for you!聽(harshly)聽How long are you going to remain聽his puppet, Adrien? Adrien:聽(shocked)聽But... my cousin is gonna talk to him, and- Kagami:聽(annoyed)聽This just keeps getting better. You're letting your COUSIN do things for you now? Who's pulling the strings of your life? Your cousin? Your father? Me, when we were together? It's never YOU! You're only good at doing what people tell you to do! Dare to cut your strings, Adrien!聽(stops and contemplates for a moment, then genuinely apologizes for her harsh manner)聽...Forgive me if I hurt you.聽(hangs up sadly)
This sort of tough love seems like the kind of thing Luka would take to heart, but not be hurt by because he's so chill. On the other hand, I think it's a terrible match for Adrien as he's a pretty sensitive guy with a lot of self worth issues, which is why I don't like Adrigami. Their brief relationship was mostly Kagami steamrolling him and I don't see that changing any time soon. For all of Marinette's flaws, at the very least she never pushed Adrien to be something he wasn't and she does tend to be very gentle with people when she knows they're hurting, which is the kind of support Adrien probably needs. The tough love approach is a really terrible approach for most people. I mean, do you really think stuff like the above exchange would be positive for Adrien's mental health in the long run? At least Luka would communicate if Kagami's approach was hurting him. Adrien would just take it and say nothing like he always does.
Of course, this is all based on what the show did and I don't think a single relationship in the show comes across all that well. The best by far is Ivan and Myl猫ne and even there we still got an episode where it's revealed that Ivan's planning to do nothing but be a house husband when discussing what to study in lyc茅e which was certainly a choice the writers made for a 14-year-old boy and his 14-year-old girlfriend... I don't mind that they've talked about the idea, it is possible to end up happily married to someone you got together with at a young age, but maybe don't imply that your characters are planning to start popping out babies as soon as they turn 18 or even sooner? Because that's how that line comes across in the context when it's given.
In summary, I wouldn't call Lukanette or Adrigami a NOTP, I think there's probably versions of the ships I'd genuinely like (especially Lukanette*), I just don't see them as superior to the love square and I'm mainly in this fandom for the identity shenanigans. You don't get more identity shenanigans than the love square unless you completely rewrite the show's base concept, so I don't have any interest in looking at alternative pairings for Adrien or Martinette. Every pairing the show gave us needs work and, for all its flaws, I do think the love square works fine if you actually let them have character arcs. Their main issue is communication and that's about it. It's a similar issue to why Marinette tends to come across so poorly. She's the main character, so the bad writing effects her more than any other character. The love square is the main ship, so we get the most bad writing about it.
*I actually tried to read Lukanette stuff when I first came to the fandom because I liked his character, but everything I tried was using Lukanette to salt on Adrien and hard pass.

Sometimes when I think back on Gravity Falls I just find it funny that, even if we've never seen Mr. and Mrs. Pines before except maybe their arms on the first episode, we just know that they're actually a bunch of weirdo but pretty good parents:
They named their kids Mabel and Mason which aren't really the most common twin names in 1999 because they weren't like those other parents who'd name their kids Jennifer or something as Alex said. He even confirms they're pretty counterculture.
Instead of sending the twins to his probably decent father for vacation to get fresh air, Mr. Pines sends them to his (obviously) criminal uncle in a weird tourist trap in the woods that obviously scams people.
Mabel gets to wear one of her dad's souvenir work shirts for her pajamas and I find that wholesome.
Dipper's mom used to put him in a lamb costume when he was still a toddler and he does a little dance which is embarrassing but also pretty cute honestly. He didn't seem to have issues with this until he reached "maturity" age.
The twins had matching Halloween costumes since they were basically toddlers and they seemingly put a lot of effort into them so that means that they're very open with the kids and their creativity and most likely helped them with their more complex outfits or that they're willing to spend extra cash on giving their kids cool matching outfits that they enjoy
The mail the kids send them say so much about how positive their relationship are with their kids.
Dipper blatantly explains in a postcard sent to them that there are cryptids in the town and even begs them for weapons. Mabel straight up excitedly wants to send their mom a video of her shoving gummy worms up her nose.
This probably means they're open-minded enough to let their kids do these weird things and for their kids to even share them with them with little hesitation.
Even with Mabel being initially upset that their parents wouldn't let Waddles stay (Honestly in another perspective is understandable because how are you going to care for a farm pig in suburban California? It might take a lot of work and it's probably not the best conditions to keep an unconventional pet when you're not used to it. Like we all know Waddles is great but practically speaking it's a lot to ask someone to let their kid keep a farm animal.), we know that they probably let Waddles stay anyway after Stan forces Waddles on the bus home.
They celebrate every holiday because Mabel wants to.
Some other observations on how the twins act that could clue us in on how their parents are. These are more headcanon-leaning but yeah.
Mabel's wonderchild personality filled with sparkles and rainbows definitely show that they didn't suppress her weirdness.
The scrapbooking also adds to the idea that Mabel was definitely allowed to be super creative.
Dipper's unhinged mystery solving behavior (honestly forgot how unhinged he really was until I rewatched the show this year) definitely shows that they probably didn't suppress his weird tendencies either.
Dipper, despite his child-aged pettiness (which is normal mind you), is able to handle intense social situations and could even find the appropriate words even when things are a little too complex. The standout example I could think of was learning of the true extent of Pacifica's abuse and how he's able to find a way to give her the courage to stand up against it. Definitely the most headcanon leaning but I do think that this could also be influenced to a more open household.
The twins truly don't have bad blood between them which means that it's possible that their parents had raised them in a relatively healthy (or at least healthier than others) environment. At the very least, if there was favoritism, it wasn't obvious to cause them any resentment for each other.
I could add more but that's all what's in my brain right now.

so im super picky when it comes to food and i only eat certain types of food when im craving it. So what would the guys do with a reader who refused to eat the bland food that the military (probably) offered and would just eat unhealty snacks?
I'm not that much of a picky eater, but just picturing what the British military must feed their soldiers makes me cringe more than just looking at British food. (Sorry British followers I do love you but not your food.)
I would not blame the reader for living off junk food. The guys would let the reader get away with it for a while, an attempted adjustment period, or so they think. Definitely start to get worried when the reader doesn't even try anything and just keeps resorting to snacks and junk food. I can imagine there's a bit of a struggle there, maybe even a doctors visit to ensure there's nothing wrong.
Nothing wrong, just a picky eater.
Cue attempts to make healthier meals the reader will eat. They're pulling full toddler mom, hiding vegetables in things, trying to make the food more edible when they can't avoid the mess, or at least attempting to put things together that resemble more appetizing things. If all else fails, they have a fridge and freezer stocked with the reader's favorite foods, so at least the reader's getting in three meals. Fed is best, so they say.

You know reverse flash will probably never chill out all the way but if he gets with Barry he鈥檇 probably settle down a little at least. Constantly follows Barry and touches him when he鈥檚 stressed. Definitely a healthier outlet.
Barry: what did you used to do to calm down before we got together?
Thawne: oh I went back in time to throw you down the stairs as a child.
Okay I laughed but at the risk of being insufferably pedantic, Eo is actually one really controlled and poised motherfucker 90% of the times.
The times in which you see him not being in control of the scene is when he's having a manic episode (notable examples include the mess he made in Running Scared and the mental breakdown of Finish Line). And even then, he's doing insane shit but in a very controlled way, like the fact that he managed to go through the entirety of Running Scared without actually pulling a hair off of Iris' head. He's very much not the type for random outbursts of rage, whenever you see him not fighting he's actually pretty chill, and there's a smooth grace in his movements like he was never in a hurry to do anything. Despite the fact that he's, you know, faster than light. In fairness, he's so powerful that if he wasn't so much in control he'd destroy everything he has around the moment his mood shifts a little.
He probably gives off the impression that he's prone to outbursts because he has violent emotional reactions that he can't regulate, but they're way more focused inwards than outwards. Eobard's rage tends to be the plotting kind, and his plotting can be so precise and vast that it extends through timelines, and the example of how he pushed Barry down the stairs is perfect because that time he wasn't hurting Barry out of spite. That was part of a bigger picture intent on undermining Barry's confidence, making him grow up as anxious and alone and insecure as possible, bigger picture which also included burning down his childhood home, or making him feel responsible for the death of his dog, or moving his arm slightly this or that way to make him fail at sports.
That wasn't anger or pettiness, that was an extremely controlled, horrifyingly calculated plot that resulted in turning Barry from who he was in the Silver Age (outgoing, always merry, surrounded by people, always "knowing a guy" in every scenario, loved by his parents, good at sports, good in school, good at dancing) to who he is today (timid, insecure, alone, anxious, lacking people he can lean on to, lacking confidence in anything but his skills as a chemist). Killing Nora was just one tile of the mosaic, albeit you could say the most important one, but the point was very much the bigger picture.
That being said, do I think Eobard would calm the fuck down if he and Barry got together? Might sound like an oxymoron given all of the above, but I actually think he would! I also agree with you in how he'd need lots and lots of physical touch. You know I can HARDLY think of ONE instance in which someone touched him without the intent of hurting him, including when it comes to his family? Except for Barry of course, Barry does touch him gently (and casually!) if the circumstances allow it.
Like at the beginning of Running Scared, which unfortunately Eobard doesn't remember.
Tumblr media
Or here. (panels from The Flash Age by Joshua Williamson)
Tumblr media
Or here, in which Barry's grabbed him to avoid him to faceplant after Paradox tossed him like a doll.
Eobard has to be so extremely touch starved he'd be looking for "physical reassurances" pretty much constantly, I think. Barry would have no qualms with it anyway, given how touchy he is by nature. He'd probably be more endeared than anything else.

Thinkin about the Meat Marionette Au, specifically the batclan having two bodies. And I apologize if this is rambling lol
I feel like they still train and work out most days (look Bruce has gotten used to picking up his kids, he's not going to stop even if he's in his human body). It's just probably not to the same extent as in canon of a daily thing without giving their bodies a break. That probably actually means their human bodies are healthier than in canon, seeing as one actually needs to let their muscles rest between exercising them. Not to mention they- or at least their bodies- are getting rest. Hell it's almost like their bodies are in comas for a few hours each night what with how low their brain activity would register as.
Now I'm thinking this probably influences how they act and appear towards the public. They shy away from most interviews (they're trying not to hiss or growl) and are mostly quiet whenever they speak in public, so it'd be easier for the tabloids to spin a story about a shy or demure family doing their best to help Gotham. Which is... the complete opposite of what they are, but no one needs to know that.
Others might even go the mysterious hermit route when trying to write a story about the Waynes, seeing as they're not spotted outside often (what with uses of disguises and such) save for the times the patriarch of the family has gone on another adoption spree. Honestly most of the stories about them are either having to do with Wayne industries, the very rare gala that everyone is wanting into, or the several adoptions that have been reported on several times.
Online is another story probably, and there's definitely several memes about each Wayne family member's posts. They're somehow Gotham's darlings despite being social recluses.
That being said, being connected to the Tunnels definitely has an effect on them even in their original human bodies. Not just mentally but physically as well. Like there is some definite off vibes the longer one is in their presence, their movements just a hint too graceful and something almost... predatory about it.
Also slightly random but I feel like Bruce would grow his hair out, like not even purposely at first. He just got caught up in cases and trying to figure out the meat-marionettes (thank you Dick for the name, but did you really have to call them that) that he forgot to get it cut several times. And by then it's just easier to put it in a ponytail than stay still for however long it'd take to get it cut and well, actually look good even if he himself doesn't care about it. Then he also gets kids who want to learn how to do things like braiding hair, which means he learns too and... yeah...
This au is a combo of my cryptid batfam and @phoenixcatch7's possessed doll au, which you need to check out because it's great. A really fun concept and influences a lot of this Au concept too. Also mutual of mine do you have any ideas for their civilian IDs

Nisil毛 vs. protracted SSRI withdrawal, an update.
Welp, here's a health update. As some of you may know, in early 2023 I tried an anxiety medication that I've taken before, had a bad reaction that was initially not recognized as such, and then when I started to get off of it, I had a different bad reaction, which turned into so-called protracted withdrawal. (For those interested in the topic, there's a website known as Surviving Antidepressants, a support group for people in my situation). Apparently, now I have to go off this medication over the course of several years, and I hardly wanted to be on it in the first place.
Anyway, things are a lot better this year than they were last year. The bottom line is that with this condition, things do get better, it just takes an inordinately long time. This time a year ago, if I had a good day it was a miracle. A lot of the time, I felt like I was having a low-grade panic attack, or like I had food poisoning, or like I was hungover. Whether or not I got sleep on a given night was a game of Russian Roulette.
This summer, most days are good, but I still get symptoms every few weeks, or when I encounter certain triggers. One trigger was a simple cold. Another was particularly spicy food. So I've cut out anything that could stress the nervous system: alcohol, coffee, spices. I'm fanatic about wearing a mask in public and avoiding travel. I won't get on a plane unless there's an emergency, because idiots fly with COVID all the time. (I personally know two such people).
But while I could take or leave it with the coffee, the alcohol, and the spices (I'll probably be healthier for it, in the long run), I was absolutely gutted when I learned of another trigger.
I can't do even the lightest exercise for more than 20 minutes, particularly when it's hot. I tolerate it fine in the moment, but the next day I feel like I've been poisoned, I may struggle to sleep, and I get panicky even when there's nothing going on. You'd think exercise would be helpful, but no. It has an invigorating effect, but for me that invigoration becomes over-activation.
So now, where does that leave me? I can forget about travel, because how realistic is travel without at least some walking? I can't sit on a beach or go swimming, and I used to love beach vacations; Hawaii was everything two years ago. I used to be an active person: there was no physical activity I could not do: hiking, biking, skiing, tennis, lugging suitcases up five flights of stairs when there was no help available... I did not do any of those things particularly well, but I had the strength and the physical prowess.
What's worse is that I've been wanting to get back into exercise. I've never done it regularly before, but I'd grown efficient at my job and I hardly take my work home anymore, so I finally have the energy and the time. I'm also in a place where I'm ready to make changes. For instance, I've stopped biting the insides of my mouth, and I'm doing my continuing medical education credits after I get home from work, rather than procrastinating until they're due. I also count my calories again, though without exercise the weight loss is painfully slow.
Anyway... I was in a funk about the above for a while, but I'm happy to say that I'm over it. After all, the mantra on Surviving Antidepressants is "this, too, shall pass." Someday I'll be able to hike and go to the beach again, but for now, I'm ripping through my continuing education requirements, I'm editing old work and putting out new work, and I'm happy to be alive. I am right where I want to be, for the most part.

I'm really tired of complaining to people and then getting told about how the person I'm complaining about probably intends something kind, or thinks in a way that explains the behavior.
I already know why they're acting as they are. I don't need help understanding them. I don't need to reframe my mindset. I need people to treat me better.
You can give a cactus as much sun and water and love as it needs, but if it's out on the arctic tundra with no protection from the cold, it's still going to fucking die.
I can change my way of thinking and my approach to life and spend my spoons doing chores that make me want to cry, but it's not going to change my environment.
I don't need to learn to sympathize with people. I don't need help understanding them. I don't even need to think about a healthier mindset for approaching my life. I don't need reminders that people love or at least appreciate me. I already do that part.
What I need is for people to not be assholes.
