But the truth is, kids are more open to exploring new flavors and foods than we give them credit for. The key is making healthy dishes that intrigue their senses – with colors, textures, and aromas they’ll…

Using Sigils in your Kitchen
If you are not familiar with sigils, in a nutshell they are created by people using words, imagery, and symbolism to communicate intention through a magic symbol. These can be personal and super specific or just really general and shared by many. They're highly recommended to try since it works well for witches still in the broom closet and witches on a budget.
So what are some ways we can use Sigils in kitchen magic? A lot, actually! I touched on this briefly on my easy ways to kitchen witch, but I thought I'd go over them again, as well as offer more ideas.
Cook your food in your sigil
Adding heat is one of the most common ways to activate sigil powers. So, if you got a hot pan and are about to pour some oil, why not draw a sigil? A sigil of energy to help give you a boost in the morning. A sigil of co-operation for those tense family dinners. Or maybe a symbol of beauty cause you're just so fabulous.
Eat Your Sigils
So once you're done cooking, maybe at the end you want to add some sauce. Draw a sigil on your food with your sauce. Different sauce types may also help enhance your sigil. A sweet tomato based sauce like ketchup could enhance self love sigils, for example. But don't think too hard on it. Focus more on the sigil rather than what you're making it with.
Stir your Sigils
I've mentioned before that I prefer to mindfully stir towards me and away from me; instead of the traditional clockwise and counter clockwise. However, if both of those methods don't work, try stirring your intentions in by recreating the sigil. Stir as though you were trying to create the sigil one stroke at a time.
Add Sigils to your Appliances
I don't see this talked about nearly enough, but you can add sigils to your appliances. Maybe add one to your coffee maker or toaster to help infuse your food and drink with specific energy. I have one for my fridge to help food last as long as it can.
But take a look at your appliances. Is there anything you want to work better? Anything you want to last longer? Maybe consider creating a sigil for it.
Sigils on your Work Space
There are a lot of other places you can put sigils as a kitchen witch. Your spoons, your cutting board, measuring cups; add one to your cupboard to protect from broken dishes or just charge whatever dishes are in there. You can add a sigil to the bottom of your table where you eat to encourage communication and keep away negativity. If you got windows in your kitchen, maybe use a window writer to make a sigil for motivation. Do not feel like kitchen witchcraft is limited to food!
Charge Your Spices
I feel like most people, when they get dried spices, will transfer them into a jar. This is for easy access and also helps preserve the spice as it's protected better from the air. So if your spices are in glass containers, why not add a sigil to charge your spices? I mean, if they're just sitting around while you do stuff like sleep and work, they may as well be doing something. I feel like general sigils will work better in this case like "Prosperity" or "Calm" sigil.

Since you have a lot of opinions about Sunflower fics, do you have any recommendations :p? I do generally agree with you about the derth of good works on them - kind of hoping for something I've maybe slept on.
Okay, I'll try,
First of all — I want everyone, and I mean everyone to read Coda for a Crestfallen Caitiff by MercuriallyApathetic, who also wrote The Strange Summer of Sunny Whatshisface (still one of my favorite longfics to this day but a lot more lighthearted). Coda is a masterpiece, it makes me insane, it is criminally underrated, I want to inhale its essence, and when I first read it it gave me a panic attack and a mental breakdown that lasted three straight days (/pos). Definitely read the tags and prepare yourself mentally but JESUS CHRIST I need everyone to read it. Please. You will regret it for a few hours but it is... an experience. To me at least. And to the two people I recommended it to who gave me feedback.
Then there's sunflower seeds in the rearview mirror by @andrewwtca which remains probably my favorite multichapter OMORI fic of all time (you might spot my essay-comments in the later chapters, I love this fic so much. I didn't end up writing one for the last chapter but man did it hit me hard). Very intriguing with a captivating style and an unreliable narrator mechanic that I am absolutely in love with. Everything by that author is excellent.
We have, of course, literally everything by BetweenDisorders. Arsenic is partly inspired by one of their fics ! (you know the one.) Their characterization of both Sunny and Basil (but especially Basil, because I'm gay) makes me froth at the mouth. Their style is very recognizable and honestly one of the best I've ever seen. But more generally, they have really original and intriguing ideas (like communication, in which Basil and Sunny are two computers... Did I mention how I'm a sucker for original/unique plots and premises enough yet) and everything they do is something you've never seen before. It's amazing.
Note to Self: Don't Be Gay in Faraway Town by witheredahlia is also very, very good. It's a lot lighter, but it still made my gay little heart ache, because I'm a sucker for misunderstandings done correctly (fight me).
Detective Sunny by Det_Sun is genuinely one of the most creative, fascinating OMORI fics I've seen, and also way too underrated. It's an excellent read, and there's a bunch of ideas in it that you know go deeper than what is shown, and it makes my brain go at the speed of lights. Many many thoughts about this one. (Side note: I fucking love it when there's unexplored ideas in fics. Makes my brain go brrr. Not everything has to be shown and when I see hints of "behind the scene" thoughts and character background that isn't discussed much but still implied, my brain becomes a feral animal. I don't know if that makes sense...)

“We can read the next chapter later. I’m hungry. Are you hungry?”
“For what, mortal food? I guess.”

Now this is an interesting use of magic !
Also does this imply this type of magic is really hard to utilize or does he mean it more in a creative way?
Cause instantly growing food from scraps sounds like a hella life saving technique. Not to be Azul but it's also absurdly marketable for regions with low food yields

i bought a couple of meal kit-ish things at whole foods the other day to have while my dad was away and like. truly i am the person these were designed for. like. you make rice when you first get hungry and then internet for 20 mins until it's done. basically like instant rice from an adhd perspective. now you could start the chicken part of this while the rice is cooking but who has that kind of executive function. so then yr timer goes and yr like 'oh ok time to do the chicken!' which is like. in a little pre-sous-vided packet, so like, it's sad but mostly done and still moist (me too, bud), and you dump that out in a pan with some oil or butter or w/e and warm it thru, and salt it bc you believe in flavor unlike the paleo pals responsible for this kit, and then after a minute dump the sauce in and let that warm thru (plus i personally like to chop some parsley and chuck that in for like. green points). and then you have a food! 🪄
