Our Decks!

So, we've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh every thursday lately! A lot of people don't expect me to be the girl that's into the game in here, but it can be so fun with all the stories the cards have behind them! I've ran two decks before... Karakuri, and D/D/Ds. I'm going to be running my Karakuris tomorrow, and I'm really excited for how things will go, since they're more of a rogue deck than a properly tiered one.

The little wooden frog they have is so cute... I hope you all can find them just as cute!

The frog is just adorable, right? He banishes himself to change a Karakuri monster's battle position, which activates the bigger karakuri monster's effects - which lets you do things like draw more cards, or banish cards that your opponent has! Such a strong ability for such a small wooden frog...

strat:

the gameplan is simple: going first siegfried, going second genghis

usually the siegfried is enough to keep your opponent at bay. you don't need deus machinex that much.

when your opponent has that huge board with five set traps, then you want to go into genghis. this should be enough to get you to a somewhat decent board with a deus machinex and a beowulf.

however, the real crux of the deck is summoning kali yuga. the deck is built around this one monster. he cold waves as soon as he's summoned then he can heavy storm. since your d/d/d mons are huge beaters, you can run over most monsters in this format. this won't kill but leave your opponent with next to no resources.

always trade your monster for another monster. this is because there are five different ways to fuse using the gy in order to get you to your second genghis on the next turn.

remember: knowing when to heavy storm is the key difference between losing and winning.

now for the obv question of why isn't there a duster or raigeki. simple: they're bricks in the deck. you want to draw into your swirl slime, kepler, copernicus, gryphon. these are your key cards. just a successful normal summon with kepler or copernicus and nothing else is enough to get to kali yuga.

honestly, limiting small genghis to one makes the deck so much worse than it could be. like joan is cool but she isn't really genghis. she's there so you can slime fusion into a her and then normal smth to make gilgamesh.
