Not plural myself but Im kinda curious about something: for systems that share memories, is it possible to play games with one another? 🤔 I have chess in my head right now but just about anything turn based would work I guess. I feel like head mates who share memories would also remember each others’ strategy, which Im curious if it would make the game boring or add layers to it somehow. (maybe you could put it up to a poll?)

We've played chess before. It's fun but weird.

You need to make the best move but if you plan too far ahead then the opponent knows all your plans.

You'd probably be better off with games with some random elements but no hidden information to make long-term strategies too difficult.

One game that worked pretty well for us is called Dice Forge.

There are strategic elements but the randomness of the dice throws a wrench into any ideas of planning too far ahead.

Co-op games are really ideal though.

A favorite of ours is Sentinels of the Multiverse:

This is a co-op game designed for 3-5 players to take on a single villain and is perfect for systems wanting a fun game to play with each other.

Stepping away from turn-based stuff, you should know that we've also used partial possession to play games like Fireboy and Watergirl with each player controlling a different hand.

There are actually a lot of different ways headmates can play games together! 😁

So, yeah, it's been a hot minute, eh? Such is the nature of hyperfixation, it flips wildly between things sometimes. Lately, it's been focused on various video games, but also especially jigsaw puzzles (both physical and digital). I'll try to get myself to do some more character updates/creation at some point here, but that will still require that needle to flip back over a little. It did feel pretty fun and natural to hop back into HeroForge to make this new character, though, which is always nice.

At any rate, in the meantime, my gaming groups' lives seem to have calmed down a little bit, and we figure we're just going to start up a new campaign and get a couple new folks in as well. And we're giving Pathfinder a go this time around, as you might imagine, with Nilzom being a Pathfinder-focused character. Of course, I've got the D&D roughest equivalent penciled in for him as well. I know that D&D Hobs are more likely to be orange-red skinned as opposed to the Pathfinder's blue-grey skinned. But, eh, he can fit into either setting. Including having some hair. As a treat.

Inadvisable tabletop RPG premise #137: three-raccoons-in-a-trenchcoat type game with full on Forged in the Dark style playbooks, such that each playbook has three completely separate sets of moves: one set of moves which can only be used when you're acting as the legs, one set which can only be used when you're acting as the arms, and one set which can only be used when you're acting as the head. You're allowed to specialise in a position, but you must have at least one move from each set, so gaining access to particular configurations of moves may require tactically restacking yourselves without getting caught. Complications on failed or partially successful dice rolls may force raccoon to swap places, potentially completely changing which moves are accessible to the party in the middle of a scene.

what do they know? they know rumours and gossip about your boys, but they can't see them with your eyes when there is no one but you.

wooyoung may play with loaded dice and cheat at poker, but to you, he always conjures up a flower with a gentle smile.

yeosang may be a born liar and cheat, but he gives you the most sincere smiles and kisses.

san and mingi may get into rough fights, but when you tend to their wounds, they bury their faces in your soft, loving palms, grateful and helpless.

hongjoong may have an illegal weapons collection and deal with shady characters, but there is no hug as reassuring and protective for you as his.
