Bodily Affirmation
1st-level transmutation (ritual) Casting Time: 1 minute Range: Touch Components: V, S, M (powdered frog bones) Duration: Instantaneous
You reshape the body of a willing creature in range, changing some or all of their body to match their ideal appearance. The creature must consent to any and all changes made by the spell, if they do not consent, the spell fails. The spell can only change physical appearance and biological sex within the bounds of what is possible for the target creature’s race. The changes last for 7 days, and painlessly disappear at the end of the duration.
Casting this spell on the same creature with the same changes once every 7 days for a year makes the changes permanent.
Classes: Artificer, Cleric, Druid
Spell for D&D 5e I made. I wanted to make fantasy HRT because I thought that would be cool and allow for more character creation options. Doubles as cosmetic surgery as well.

A fun concept that I feel like doesn’t get exploited enough is messing with crit ranges. Anyway, here’s a spell that does just that. I think even as a third-level spell this still needs tuning, but I like where I’m at with it at the moment

Introducing Panic Portal! (For DnD 5e)
Panic Portal
1st-level conjuration
Casting time: 1 Reaction, taken when you are targeted by an attack or spell
Range: Self
Components: S
Duration: Instantaneous
Whenever you are the target of an attack or spell, you can use your Reaction to teleport to an unoccupied space within 10 feet of you. Unless the attack or spell was a critical hit, it automatically fails.
At Higher Levels: The distance you can teleport using this spell is increased by 10 feet for each spell level above 1st.
Classes: Wizard, Sorcerer, Ranger
I was looking at the Horizon Walker Ranger subclass the other day, and I felt like early game teleportation was really lacking. If you want to play a really zippy character in early levels you're kinda stuck to playing a martial class. Strixhaven added Vortex Warp, but it's exclusively for teleporting other creatures around, not yourself. So! I designed this spell using the Shield spell as a balancing anchor, and I think it turned out pretty nice! Now we can fufill our dreams of playing a character that teleports around in the middle of combat to avoid hits and reposition quickly.

Funniest bit of the dnd movie is Xenk clearly being an NPC the DM introduced for lore and plot purposes who’s a competent fighter because of course he is, his reputation and backstory require it. But whoopsies the DM made him too powerful, the whole party likes him, and now they want him to come with to fight the BBEG which will completely and utterly fuck up the encounter balance
So instead of there being any actual plot reason he can’t join Xenk just says “I can’t. This is something only you can do.” And then walks off, never to interact with the party again because the DM just knows those little shits will find a way to use their OP creation against them

Sparking Boom
5th-level evocation
Casting Time: 1 action Range: 60 feet Components: V, S, M (a twig from a tree that has been struck by lightning, and a bit of fur) Duration: Instantaneous
You point to a creature that you can see within the spell’s range, shooting lightning at it. Make a ranged spell attack at the creature. If the target is wearing metal armor, you have advantage on the attack roll. On a hit, the target takes 2d12 lightning damage. Hit or miss, the target and each creature within 10 feet of it must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 6d8 thunder damage on a failed save, and half as much on a success. The initial target takes no damage on a successful save. The spell emits a thunderous boom audible out to 300 feet.
Classes: Druid, Sorcerer, Wizard

I just thought of a weird spell for a fantasy world
What if there’s someone who has a hard time breathing? Well then what if there was a spell that puts another mouth painlessly into that person’s breathing organs that could move to help with whatever the person is dealing with? Like if someone has trouble with their lungs, then the mouth would slide to a lung entrance and breath in more air. What if someone has something wrong with their nose like a deviated septum, then the mouth would go to the nose? What if a person is breathing in air that’s toxic to them, then the mouth would go to their throat and filter the clean air into the person’s system?

Some of you didn’t seem to understand how magic works in the sense of how you can access it. I’ll explain again.
If you gain magical power from making a deal with a more powerful being, you are a warlock. Sneaky lawyer.
If you gain magical power through teachings and studies, you are a wizard/artificer. (Artificers usually gain power through experimentation.)
If you gain magical power by pledging yourself to a cause, being, or idea, you are a paladin. Pretentious bitch.
If you gain magical power by praising a higher deity (and not making a deal), you are a cleric. Heal someone.
If you have magical power and you didn’t do anything to gain it, you are a sorcerer. Fuck you. Seriously, fuck you. The rest of us had to work for our shit.
If you gain magical power by protecting nature and caring for plants and animals, you are a Druid. Fucking hippie.
If you gain magical power from your desire to entertain and also fuck, you are a bard. Stop trying to seduce my dad.

the blightstaff ✸🪲
(for @artists-guild-of-exandria project !)
[Image ID: A stylised digital illustration of Caduceus from Critical role on a black background. He has a strong stance, holding the blight staff in front of him with a stern expression. his pink hair, clothes, the silk on his arm and sashes around his waist, are blowing back from the force of the staff's spell. the crystal on top of the staff is glowing bright purple with a halo of light around it, with turquoise beetles flying around and emerging from holes in it. the staff is planted in a patch of green grass, the same green grass and pink fungi around Caduceus' feet. He also has pink lichen all over his clothes and beetle chitin armour, tabi boots and sleeves. End ID.]
