CHAPTER 3: After an unplanned first 'date', having Charlie over for dinner sounds more scrumptious than any perfectly-done filet mignon. However, you should've known that involving him would involve more people than you would've liked. (3.7k words)

CHAPTER 3: IN TOO DEEP

It was the same dreadful feeling of getting in trouble when you were a child. A premonition that a scolding was coming.

That was what you felt as you followed your father down the hallway. But you weren’t going to be asked why Draco was crying after you pushed him (see: age three) or why you scored so poorly in an third-year elective over Christmas break (see: age thirteen). No, twenty-three was going to bring on a different slew of problems.

When you and Lucius were situated in a dark corridor and shielded from the view of the other patrons, you braced yourself. Deep in the shadows, you definitely looked like your father. You never quite got his platinum blonde hair or pale blue eyes; your colouring was always a touch darker. But here, you were the mirror image of him, displeased expressions and aversions to losing and all.

You clenched your jaw shut as did Lucius until he finally gritted out: “What are you doing here? And in this get-up?”

“Why does it matter what I wear?” you snapped back. Lucius was draped in some of the fanciest emerald robes he’d owned, so whatever meeting he had was definitely important.

“I don’t particularly care for what you’re wearing, but rather, who it belongs to,” Lucius clarified. “And for you to be here with that Weasley—”

“His name’s Charlie, father.”

“They’re all the same, a stain on our reputation, and speaking of such things,” Lucius continued, his voice gaining volume as he spoke. “We Malfoys have one to upkeep. Either bring some acceptable friends of yours or—”

Lucius quickly glanced around him to make sure there was no one important passing by. When he saw a woman exit the powder room, he waited pleasantly for her to pass before resuming his speech. One that you’d heard a million times.

“Don’t present yourself here with him.”

“Oh, what does it matter?”

“You will leave this instance,” he commanded. “With the Weasley child.”

“He is not a child, and you can’t tell me what to do,” you countered, your voice rising too. “I can be here with whoever I please. In fact, we’ll have Jacques seat us so we can stay longer. He always has a spot in the restaurant for the Malfoys.”

“You will not,” he hissed. “I have more associates joining me and I won’t be—”

When an elderly couple turned the corner down the hall, you and Lucius both shut up immediately. At the same time, you choked out smiles at each other to give the guise of a pleasant conversation, not the whisper-shouting match that was actually going on. It was in that moment of much-needed silence that you realized something important: Lucius falsely assumed you and Charlie were together. Not in the form of a fling, but he falsely assumed Charlie was the boyfriend you were parading around yesterday.

“I’m going back to Charlie. Good luck with your meeting.”

You spun away on your heels. As you ditched Lucius, you walked thunderously back to the front. Arguing with your father always put you in the worst of tempers. First, he threatened to have Goyle over because you were unpaired, and now, he was upset with your choice of partner? It was like arguing with a wall.

Up front, Charlie was waiting for you, two drinks in hand and a pastry bag in between his fingers. In the time you were gone, his order had been served. He handed a drink to you.

Trying to suppress your frustration, you asked Charlie in a whisper: “Can you follow my lead?”

“What was that?” he asked, leaning downwards. “You’re too quiet. Or too short for me to hear you.”

“Lean closer, then,” you instructed.

“Okay.” Charlie complied immediately, arching down even further until his lips were a touch too close to your ear. From the view of a bystander, it gave the appearance of him kissing your cheek, maybe his lips grazing your earlobe… You repressed a shudder, having to remind yourself that he just was fooling around like his younger brothers often did.

“Walk out with me,” you whispered.

You extended your right hand, motioning for him to take it. And without a second of hesitation, he did. Those long, callused fingers wrapped around your smaller ones for the second time today. His grip was firm and protective. You turned your head slightly to see Lucius was looking, and sure enough, he was. Luckily from him, Mr. Lemieux was turned away from the spectacle.

You imagined he was wearing his teeth down with how hard his jaw was clenched. Worn dentition was soon going to be the least of his problems if he kept pissing you off.

“Let’s get out of here,” you said.

“Tell me about it.”

You led him out back through the double glass doors. Your brisk walk turned into a jog down the street. You were trying not to trip on cobblestones or spill your drink again. When you’d reached a safe distance from Cauco, you burst out laughing. And so did Charlie.

“What was that?” he asked. “Actually, what is this?” He raised both your hands that were still tangled to each other. “A change of heart for me?”

“No, this is pure subterfuge,” you responded through fits of laughter.

“What possessed you to take my hand?”

“My father told me to get out, so I did. I couldn’t leave you.”

“I didn’t know you had a flair for dramatics.”

“You don’t know me well enough!” you laughed.

“Charlie?” a voice rang suddenly from the corner. “Is that you?”

Both of you whipped around.

It was Molly Weasley. Oh, you know, no other than Charlie’s mum.

Molly nearly dropped her woven baskets full of groceries at the sight of well, firstly, her son who was back home once a year if she was lucky. And secondly, you imagined at the shock of the two of you holding hands.

You quickly removed your hand from Charlie’s. Now your expression really read like you’d been caught in this imaginary romp in the sheets.

“What are you doing back in England?” Molly asked, bringing her son in for a hug and a kiss on the cheek. She cupped his face and gave it two firm pats, trying to ascertain that Charlie was real and not some apparition.

“Apparently, you can’t bank vacation for ten years straight,” he said. A blotch of red was forming on his cheeks from Molly’s hand. “Pretty ridiculous, I reckon—”

“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming back?” Molly then demanded. “I could’ve prepared properly for you. A proper room, a proper meal.”

Charlie jolted. “I didn’t know until two days ago, I promise, mum. I’ve been on a train for the past day. I’ve barely slept all of last night.”

“Well, you’re just in time for a big lunch.” Molly looked at you. “(Y/N), dear,” she said, her voice much sweeter with you. “So lovely to see you, too.”

“Likewise, Mrs. Weasley,” you responded.

“(Y/N), won’t you join us for lunch as well?” Molly hummed. Then she turned back to Charlie. “Charlie, you’ll be elated to know that Bill is home, too.”

You could never refuse Molly. You also weren’t in a rush to get home, knowing your father may be there, ready to have an argument about the scene you caused at Cauco. And the guilt was starting to settle in, so you shook it off with a nod towards Molly.

As the three of you walked up the grassy hill that led up to the Burrow, Charlie pestered Molly over the validity of her statement about Bill’s being home. “Is he really? You’re joking me, surely.”

“Why would I ever joke about that?” Molly asked. “You know I’ve always asked you to come home more often.”

Charlie groaned as he opened the door to his childhood home. “I should’ve brought home more Romanian parchment for him.”

“Why Romanian parchment?” you asked.

“It’s lighter and less resistant to tearing and burning. Easier for him to carry during expeditions and less to worry about goblins burning them.”

“I’m sure that’s the last thing on his mind right now,” Molly hummed. “But I shouldn’t spoil what your brother is going to tell you, no, I shouldn’t...” She seemed to be fighting with her own morals as she entered the house.

“Good,” Charlie said as he let out a sigh of relief. “But now I should’ve bugged him for more Egyptian hide.” He pulled the hem of your jacket. “If I was wearing that instead of this jacket, my pocket would’ve lived to see the tale.”

“Is that yours, Charlie?” Molly asked. “I should’ve known, seeing as it’s so tattered up. But nothing I can’t fix.”

“You’ll have to fix (Y/N) up, too. I spilled coffee on her,” Charlie admitted sheepishly.

“Of course, I’ll tend to you, dear, in just a moment…” Molly unloaded her baskets on the counter, eyeing her assortment of meats, cheeses, vegetables, and breads. “Let me get the stew going first. It shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes.”

As Molly worked, you peered around the house. You’d been here many times throughout your school years and knew every nook and cranny. Though, you were always cooking things up with Fred and George in their room upstairs. You’d met Percy, Ron, and Ginny but never overlapped much with Charlie or Bill. Regardless, you’d always appreciated how inviting it was compared to your abode located upstate. Every bit of you felt warm from the sun seeping through the windows. In the house, things were stuffed to the brim until it was precariously close to exploding: books on the bookshelf, mugs in the cabinet, non-perishables in the pantry, spare blankets in the closet. And even though the Burrow was enclosed by farmland, Molly and Arthur were very friendly with the neighbours. You barely knew yours.

You were about to ask Molly if you could offer any assistance when you were interrupted by footsteps.

“Bill!” Charlie recognized his brother immediately.

“Charlie?” Bill said. No sooner, he’d jumped down the last two steps and enveloped his younger brother in a hug that almost toppled him over. “What are you doing back in England?”

“It’s a long story,” Charlie said. “What are you doing here?”

“Well,” Bill started, trying to conceal a grin. He reached out for Fleur’s hand as she came down the steps behind him. “Fleur is expecting. We’re due in the next month or so.”

“What?” Charlie exclaimed. “Already?”

“What do you mean ‘already’?” Molly scolded suddenly from behind him. “It’s about time you settled down as well, Charles Weasley. You should consider staying put for once. I pray you won’t jostle your wife around like you do yourself—”

“I shouldn’t have said anything,” Charlie whispered to you before getting dragged off by Molly. Bill followed him into the kitchen.

“Hello, (Y/N),” Fleur said as she came down the last step. Despite being heavily pregnant, she was more than graceful.

“Hello, Fleur,” you responded. “Congratulations on the pregnancy. You look lovely.”

“Thank you,” she said, a proud smile on her face.

You waited awkwardly in the living room alone for a couple moments. You really wished Fred or George or both of them were here to give you someone to talk to. When Molly finished up giving orders to Bill and Charlie, you felt it appropriate to tiptoe into the kitchen.

“Hello (Y/N),” Bill was the first to notice you creeping in. “Long time no see.”

Bill, as you faintly remembered, was indeed the tallest of the bunch. He was fit but not as muscular as Charlie, if what you saw this morning was anything to go by. He was more laid-back as well, and less prone to making remarks that would receive a scolding from Molly.

“Indeed!” you responded, feeling more at ease. “And congratulations on the baby.”

“Thank you.” A smile broke out on Bill’s face. He was radiant, his blue eyes crinkling from his smile. His face wasn’t as angular and defined as Charlie’s but he was very handsome in a more boyish way.

“I didn’t expect you to be here, you’re usually with Fred and George,” Bill said as if reading your mind. “Do you have some news of your own you want to share with me?”

You gave him a puzzled look.

“Mum told me she saw you and Charlie holding hands this morning, after your date,” Bill whispered, glancing slyly at Charlie. “I didn’t know that you were together. Charlie writes to me about everything. Apparently he left out an important chunk.”

Oh. Your date. “Oh, I’m not sure I—”

“That’s okay, I won’t press you. I’ll just ask Charlie,” Bill said, letting you off the hook. You breathed an internal sigh of relief. “He’s a tough read is all I’ll say. He dilly-dallys around a lot, especially around women.”

“Does he?” you said with a laugh. You thought of Charlie’s words to you earlier in the day.

“One day, he’s saying he’s met this girl. Next week, he’s in love. Then, he wants to propose, and before I know it, I’m standing at the altar.”

Right, Bill wasted no time. Conversely, Charlie denied he was the same.

Bill smiled. “I reckon so. But it’s no doubt you were able to read through him. You’ve always been smart.”

Your words caught at Bill’s sudden compliment. “Thank you, Bill. But I’m really not.”

“Come on, it was one class almost ten years ago,” Bill said with a teasing grin. “Nothing to beat yourself up over.”

“How do you know?” you asked, your cheeks heated. You’d never overlapped schooling with Bill and yet he knew about—

“Fred told everyone about the cursed elective the three of you took.”

You groaned. You were going to give Fred a piece of your mind next time you saw him.

“Bill, could you be a dear and call Fred and George over for lunch?” Molly called from the windowsill. She barely looked up at the stew she was seasoning. “I’m sure they can afford an hour for lunch now that their busy season is over.”

“Sure thing,” Bill acquiesced, throwing down the dishcloth. “I’ll talk to you later, (Y/N)."

Molly replaced Bill’s spot in front of you and took you by the arm. “Now, follow me upstairs and let’s get you fixed up. I told Charlie he’s going to have to be more careful around you.”

In an hour, lunch rolled around and so did Fred and George who got a scolding for apparating right into the home. You learned that Fred’s imitation of Molly wasn’t far off.

“What are you still doing here?” Fred asked with a genuine look of surprise on his face.

“I’m not sure, Molly asked if I wanted to come for lunch.”

“How did this chance occurrence happen?”

“We bumped into her at Diagon Alley.”

Fred wiggled his eyebrows. “We?”

You shrugged.

Thankfully, you were ushered to the table before Fred could pester you anymore. Bill sat with Fleur, Fred with George, you and Charlie, and Molly at the end. The bread basket perched in the centre was bigger than your head.

“So, Charlie, dear,” Molly started. “What brings you back home?”

“Well,” Charlie responded. “As I was saying earlier—”

“Charlie’s going to meet (Y/N)’s parents next Saturday,” Fred added suddenly.

“You’re going to the Malfoy’s?” Bill asked, directing a look of surprise at Charlie. Molly followed suit.

You nearly sputtered into your stew. You hadn’t really discussed that nor had Charlie consented to it, at least not seriously. You figured he was just kidding about having dinner, and now that his appetite had been satiated, so was his curiosity.

“Sure am,” Charlie responded after a long swig of water. He didn’t skip a beat.

“You’ll have to find something suitable to wear,” Molly commented, looking Charlie up and down. Her inquisitive brown eyes narrowed at his dishevelled long hair and outfit that looked like he was going to bed rather than dinner. “I’m sure we can find something of your father’s or grandfather’s in the attic.”

“There goes the rest of my afternoon,” Charlie groaned loudly, much to Molly’s chagrin. Then, he leaned into you. “I hope you didn’t have plans for us, (Y/N).”

You shook your head. “I shouldn’t think about taking you away from something so important.”

The rest of lunch was filled with questions about Bill and Fleur’s impending baby and Fred and George’s business. Luckily, no questions were thrown towards you and Charlie. You wouldn’t even know what to say. When lunch was over, Charlie was the first to excuse himself.

“That was a lovely lunch as always, mum,” Charlie said, getting up. “I’m going to unpack and maybe take a nap. It was a long journey from Romania.”

As he began to head up the stairs, Molly piped up: “Be sure to use Ginny’s room.”

Charlie descended a step back. “What about mine?”

“It’s under renovation.”

“You remodelled my room?” Charlie cried.

“As a temporary nursery. You can obviously still stay in the guest room the duration of time you’re here,” Molly clarified.

“I won’t even fit into Ginny’s room, let alone the bed. And are the walls still pink?”

“Well, a fair warning that you’d be coming back would’ve been sufficient,” Molly said. “Bill was first to tell me that he and Fleur wanted to move back in for the duration of her pregnancy.”

“But why mine? Why not remodel Ginny’s room as the nursery?”

“Because yours is closest to Bill’s room,” Molly explained. “It provides easier access to the baby.”

“You can always stay with us, Charles darling,” Fred suggested, a grin dancing on his face. “We have a spare room in our flat that’s gone unused for some reason.”

“I’ll consider it as my dead last option,” Charlie said with a shudder. He jumped back on the first floor and ran past Fred, but not before commenting: “There are a million people I’d rather live with before I’d live with you.”

After Charlie left to unpack, Fred and George followed suit to reopen the shop. You lingered around the house for a while longer, offering to help with the dishes which was promptly refused. Instead, Molly gave you a tour of the new nursery, her eyes brimming with pride at her handiwork. And it really was a lovely room with white, flowy curtains billowing in the wind, a vintage wooden cot, and tons of hand sewn blankets and plush toys. You were glad she was so preoccupied with the baby and showing you around that she wasn’t asking about Charlie.

“It’s beautiful, Mrs. Weasley,” you said, admiring the stitching on the curtains. “Bill and Fleur are lucky to have you alongside them.”

Molly placed a hand on her hip. “You know, dear, I would do it for any child of mine and their partner.”

You eked out a smile in response. You sure hoped she wasn’t insinuating anything about you.

When you went downstairs, you decided it was proper for you to excuse yourself and head home. It was nearing three in the afternoon and you couldn’t believe how the hours just flew by. Before you left, you went to Ginny’s old room and knocked on the ajar door.

“Come in,” Charlie said.

You stepped in slowly. Charlie was unfolding his clothes on Ginny’s old bed. He towered over the frame, and he’d be lucky if he could stretch out his legs tonight. Luckily for him, the walls were now a muted pink, not the bright shade they were years ago.

“I’m about to leave,” you said. “I just wanted to apologise for today before I go. I’m sorry you got caught up in things.”

Charlie cocked an eyebrow. “What’s there to apologise for?”

“The whole debacle with my father,” you clarified. “I never meant to get you involved. I don’t think well at the crux of an argument.”

“Why shouldn’t I be involved?”

Did Charlie sound offended?

“You want to be?”

“(Y/N),” Charlie said with a chuckle. “I’m always hungry. I’ll be there for the meal if not for the entertainment, or world-class Malfoy hospitality.”

“Are you serious?” you asked. “Because you understand what the deal was right? We’d have to be…” You bit your lip. You didn’t want to finish the sentence.

“Like we’re dating? Was that so hard to get out now?” Charlie laughed, leaning in closer to you until he was a few inches from you. “I mean, you’re meeting my mum.”

“I’ve already met her, many times over,” you huffed. “And on that topic, don’t you think it’s wrong to lead her on like that?”

“Hey,” he said. “Don’t lecture me about ethics. You’re the one who just tried to swindle your father in public.”

You turned red. “My prospects were looking terrible.”

“Hey, I’m just kidding,” Charlie said. “I’d do the same thing if I were in your shoes.”

“Alright”—you eyed him suspiciously—“Well, if you’re sure, I’ll send you an owl.”

“You know exactly where I’ll be,” Charlie confirmed.

Before you turned away to leave, a sudden thought came to mind. “Charlie, wait. You never told me. Why are you back in England?”

“I really was banking up too much vacation,” he confessed, airing out a rolled t-shirt. “I was strong-armed into taking it, so I chose the off-season.”

“What are you going to do at home?”

He hummed. “I was cordially invited to be a guest professor at Hogwarts two days a week, depending on how often they need me.”

“That is splendid for you,” you said, eyes brightening. “Which classes will be taking over?”

“Just Care of Magical Creatures for now”—he turned fully to you—“I reckon I could sneak in a few dragons for the kids.”

“You wouldn’t,” you warned. “You were Head Boy, you knew the rules.”

“Try me, Headmaster Malfoy.”

He held your gaze, intense blue eyes locking with yours and a smirk rising on his face. For the briefest of moments, you felt a shudder course through your body. He wasn’t being suggestive, you had to remind yourself. Charlie was just more intense and smouldering than his brothers—

Wait, did you just use the word smouldering to describe Charlie? The Charlie Weasley you’d really just met six hours ago? You scolded yourself. You had to focus on the issue at hand.

“I’ll try to wrangle a way out of dinner regardless,” you affirmed. “I have to free you up for your duties as a professor.”

He broke his gaze. “Let me know if you’re successful,” Charlie said with a laugh. “Catch you later, (Y/N).”

Eheh, fun fact, I drew Hylia reaching with her left arm but it should have been her right. I'm only now realising this as I'm posting, so I won't be going back to fix it :')

I adore Rook's ancient attire.

Strawberry blonde Hylia :)

Uriel has been a continual work in progress to the point I had to go back and make edits to chapters to keep up lol.

Here is a sort of alternate design for Zonai/Rauru and Mineru that I feel fits better. It's mostly their legs as I felt they were too humanoid in TOTK. A few other minor details like a tail and further developed horns.

I also headcanon the colour of the underside of their hair/mane correlates with their magic. Rauru has golden which is light. Mineru has a very pale purple for spirit. It also carries over to their claws/nails.

Rauru, as male, as more tuffs, like a lion would have a mane.

Their clothing here isn't too important, just an alternate outfit really.

And lastly, Dragon Roost. This is the town that Rook established just outside of Castle Town ruins. It began just as Lookout Landing but evolved as Rook's goals grew.

I played the demo today, and so far I love it!

As expected, Taj is my favorite character so far, and it's unlikely this will change anytime soon!

But one character that has me very intrigued too and that isn't among the ROs is Hunter. I don't know what to make of him, and I feel like he isn't just a rando... Makes me curious about how important or not of a choice is agreeing ouright to the "date" or refusing first and the MC agreeing only for a lack of choice... Any hints or facts you could drop about him? Because I'm equally wary and intrigued atm!

Other than that, I had a small issue on my playthrough that may or may not be a coding error: at the crime scene, when Alek finds MC is there, if I pick the option to apologize, it directly skips to Rain stepping between Alek and MC, and I feel like something is missing there? Especially considering the other options actually elaborate on what happens / what is said.

And that aside, I was also wondering if you'd consider rephrasing a bit the segment that sets off the character customization? I know it may come off as very nitpicky, but the narration says MC looks at their reflection and sees their 7 years old self. But it bothers me a bit that it implies MC's hair didn't change length in all these years, as it's pretty common to cut or let your hair grow between the time you're a kid and the time you're an adult. I sure know I had always long hair as a kid but now I never let it grow past ear length. And since we can decide if MC dyed their hair, it would only make sense to decide what is their current hair length, I think?

Sorry if it seems TOO nitpicky - I just couldn't help but be a bit bothered by that!

I'm really glad you enjoyed the demo! It means a lot to me that anyone would consider playing and then sharing their thoughts. it's very much appreciated.

Taj is definitely fun to write, so I can see why so many people are drawn to them, too.

Hunter is definitely an interesting one, but their story will be important, so your instincts are right, haha. What are some facts about Hunter I can share without being spoilery... hmm...

Hunter enjoys it when you're combative. The angrier you get, the happier he gets.

He genuinely enjoys the MC.

He's older than he looks.

He's not from Albach Bay, and he hates it there.

He's often a contrarian, not out of any genuine belief but out of amusement.

Hopefully, this will help you gather some more thoughts on Hunter, lol.

Thank you so much for pointing out the issue you mentioned. Unfortunately, it was just the result of my awful ADHD brain. I added that choice pretty last minute because I felt the other choices weren't sincere enough for the reader who was playing as a kind MC. In the midst of editing, I added that choice, intending to go back to it and add the rest. Like a dummy, I completely forgot, haha. It's fixed now, though. Thanks!

And as for your suggestion, it isn't too nitpicky to point out what you didn't gel with, haha. When writing it, I concentrated more on players who would choose to dye their hair, having a clear distinction between that and their natural hair colour. It just made sense to group the hair customisation together at that time. However, as a compromise, perhaps I can make it clear that the reflection the MC is looking at may not be an accurate depiction of what they looked like as a child, but instead an image based on how they look now since their memories of childhood are skewed.

Let me know.

I can’t be what you need

Dean and Sam Winchester

Word count; 872

Warnings; light whump, hurt/little to no comfort, descriptions of blood, descriptions of wounds, dead character mentioned, demon blood addiction referenced.

Summary; after a specially rough few weeks, Dean finds Sam curled up in their motel bathroom, sobbing.

Notes; it’s 1am and it isn’t edited lol, I had to get it out of my system. Also first published fanfic so be nice augh I’m terrified.

“Sammy!”

Dean called out as soon as he walked into the motel room. He was carrying two large fast food bags, and had managed to open the door with one of his feet. He placed the bags on the table, then opened one of them and pulled out a burger, which he quickly started eating.

“Sammy?” He called out again, this time with his mouth full. When Sam still didn’t respond, Deans hand slowly crept down to the handgun in his pants, quietly cocking it and keeping one finger on the trigger as he went around the room.

“Sam?!”

He ripped open the closet door and pointed the gun at the empty space. He was more confused than anything else; there were no signs of demons, and they hadn’t even started looking into a new case. Soon, though, he could hear a faint sobbing coming from the bathroom. Dean placed his burger on the table and quickly made his way to the bathroom, pulling the door open and wildly pointing his gun around. However, there was nobody to shoot at.

Sam was slumped against the tiled wall in the shower, covered in blood. A kitchen knife lay beside him, and deep gashes ran along both of his underarms. His hands were trembling. The lower half of his face was covered in dark red, getting mixed with the tears as he stared blankly at the cuts on his arms. Dean decocked his gun and threw it into the living room, rushing down towards Sam.

“Who did this to you?! I swear to god I’ll murder that son of a bitch,” he muttered while quickly gathering the nearest clean towels. He wrapped them around his brothers underarms and, to the best of his ability, applied pressure to both of them.

“I- I just- I thought maybe I could-“ Sam stuttered in between sobs and sniffles.

“What, you did this?!”

“Dean, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I just thought I could- that I- everything has been going wrong and I just needed- I’m really sorry, I’m sorry.”

Dean stared at his bloodshot eyes, then glanced at the knife. He swiftly kicked it away with his foot. Sam buried his face in the towels.

“Hey, hey, Sam, Sammy look at me, look,” he said, gently grabbing his face and forcing their eyes to meet, “you’ll be just fine, Sammy, I promise, we’ll patch you right up.”

His voice quavered and his eyes were watering, but he tried to keep it together. Sam didn’t need more to worry about. They couldn’t keep this going for much longer, he was going to bleed out if they didn’t somehow close the wounds.

“Cas, I need you to get your feathery ass down here,” he hissed. His gaze left Sam’s as he instead looked up at the motel ceiling.

“I need you to fix him, I need you to fix Sam, I can’t do it quickly enough.”

He felt a pressure on his hands and looked back down, where his brother had slumped forward.

“No no no, Sam, you’re not supposed to go like this.”

He grabbed his head and held it up, gently patting his cheeks.

“Rise and shine, come on, I know you’re tired, Sammy, but Cas is on the way, I promise.” He felt the burning as the tears began to stream down his face. Sam’s eyes opened slightly.

“Jess,” he mumbled, wearily shaking his head, “I want Jess, could you- Dean, where is she? Can you get her?”

Dean felt the colour drain from his face. He quickly nodded.

“Of course, Sammy, she’ll be right here, just stay awake.”

He sniffled, then coughed to try and cover it up.

“Damn it, Cas, where are you?”

“Dean.”

The monotone voice of the angel was like music to his ears.

“Jesus, what took you so long?!”

He stood up and pointed down at the blood covered Sam on the floor.

“Use your angel mojo and fix him!”

Cas’ crystal blue eyes met his before he bowed down and unwrapped the now soaked towels around Sam’s arms. Dean looked away when the familiar bright light emerged from the wounds, something he’d seen too often when Cas had healed them in the past. He felt useless, completely and utterly useless.

“He lost a lot of blood,” Cas finally said as he stood back up, again looking at Dean.

“What, you think I’m blind?! You think I can’t see that?!” He gestured wildly at the big pool of blood they were standing in.

“Help him into bed. Let him rest. I will clean this up,” was all Cas responded with. Dean took a deep, shaky breath, then pulled up his brother and dragged him to the nearest motel bed.

“Jess?” He mumbled when his head finally met the pillow.

“Uhm…”

Dean had no idea what to say. The tears were still streaming down his face. He carefully moved Sam over and crawled into the bed with him.

“She’ll be right here, Sammy. But I’m here for now.”

Sam sighed and turned over, leaving Dean to face his back. Dean moved up into the bed a little and started caressing Sam’s head.

“She’ll be here in a minute, I promise Sammy. I promise.”

Hi pals!

I’ll still be travelling when you’re seeing this and haven’t watched the finale, so I don’t have any new content to share, but last week (maybe longer? I don’t know— rainforest brain lol) I posted a poll asking if anyone was interested in seeing a snippet of my editing process, so here it is feat. possibly one of my favourite Wrecker moments.

I use a myriad of different software depending on: my mood, what computer/tablet I’m using, what the image looks like, and how much energy I’m willing to put into it lol In this video, I’m using Lightroom on my iPad.

The three main factors I look mostly closely at when I’m editing shots are 1. lighting, 2. noise, and 3. resolution (read: clarity).

This image required pretty minimal work so it’s probably not the best example, but ah well. The process in the above video is as follows, and please note the video had been sped up to 2x for file size reasons lol

The first thing I’ll do is see what the auto edit function defaults to. Often times it overexposes the image, resulting in significant colour noise, but it gives me a decent idea of what I should expect in terms of colour corrections and exposure mapping. The auto edit function wasn’t terrible in this case, but did produce some colour noise, mainly on Wrecker’s chest plate, his sleeves, and the officers hat. Once I’m done the initial scope out, I’ll exposure the image as high as possible to crop it— usually with the subject being as centered as possible.

This software lets the user tweak the bones of the image individually in three ways, all of them very quickly demonstrated here. The first is the curve method which I despise and NEVER use— because it alters multiple aspects at once, I don’t feel like I have the same degree of control as the other methods. Next is HDR setting (the default upon import) using the sliders on the right. This is effective for images that are already pretty well lit, and does give me a little more control, but most of the time because the screenshots are so dark, I’m editing in SDR mode.

Once I’m satisfied with the exposure/lighting, I’ll move on to correcting colour distortion and saturating the image. This software also provides three methods for colour alternation and I’ll typically use all three in conjunction with each other. Colour mixing is extremely crucial when it comes to reducing odour noise and distortion. Because this software lets me isolate certain colours to adjust their hue, saturation, and luminance, I can typically reduce most of or all of the colour noise. However, it does have its limitations. In this particular post, desaturating the colour noise in Crosshair’s rifle coincided with blanching his skin tone, because this software does not let me isolate certain areas of an image. It was also important to me to emphasize the warm tones from the sunset in the background for the overall mood of the shot, so I opted to remove what colour noise I could and leave the rest. (You can’t win em all… especially when the starting image is near-black lol)

Correcting the colour distortion in this image was not particularly difficult, desaturating all purple tones removed the noise from his chest plate, and shifting green tones to something near a yellow instead removed the noise from his sleeve. I didn’t notice the colour noise on the officers hat until a little later, but that was pretty easily corrected too.

Once I’ve fixed the colour noise, I’ll shift to toning the overall image. Wrecker particularly looks good in cool tones, but It’s nice to contrast a cool tone background with the warmth of his skin.

Once the toning is done, I’ll move on the image clarity. I don’t have the means to alter the actual resolution of the image, but I’m particularly picky with balancing texture and clarity. Wrecker always looks the best with texture and clarity increased, because it brings out the scarring on his face and further humanizes him, but overdoing the texture can also emphasize pixelation. Once that’s done, I’ll reduce the overall noise only slightly (doing too much makes them look airbrushed and unnatural), and whatever is left of the colour noise (too much of this setting makes them look like ghouls LOL)

This software also offers a series of preset alterations/filters briefly shown in this video… but I’m not the biggest fan of any of them. I’m a bit of a control freak and would rather tweak each aspect individually to the degree that I like, instead blanketing the image with present modifications and then undoing certain aspects.

Before exporting the image I’ll do another once over and make sure I’m happy! In this case, I opted to go back in and add some darker tones back into the image. I don’t do this often, particularly when they start so damn dark, but I wanted to keep the focus centrally on Wrecker’s radiance lol

That’s about it. If I’m working on multiple edits in a set, this software lets me just copy and paste the settings, so the following images only require extremely light tweaks and take almost no time. And that, I’ll export, autograph, and upload!

The amount of struggle I've had putting this post together 😳

All the images on the default database have been down for me since last week so I apologies if these links don't go where they're supposed to (I couldn't even guestimate one of them...) and then tumblr wouldn't let me edit pictures into my drafts. Tumblr is also not saving my drafts or queuing either? (apologies if you get this again tomorrow morning...) so eh posting this now.

Complaining aside, I really love these! Will I do all the toddler styles as clays? Maybe 🤔 Thank you to @brandinotbroke and @miniculesim for the original meshes and of course, @goatskickin for the pooklet retexture. I used all three colours or animal cap for all three versions of the hair. Hat versions are everyday and formal. Rudhira, I'm sure has a tutorial for making them revert to their hatless states for other categories but this took me so long, I just wanted to be done with them. I'll come back and fix them at some point, promise lol. Toddler only. Please let me know if there' any problems!

Can i just say how much i freaking love the work you two are doing, Holly hell this is some wild stuff as veteran of hello neighbor you two are making me proud of this small community that is running on tumblr!

Also i hope you two don't mind me asking two questions.

Firstly, If one of you two had the control over welcome to ravenBrooks show what will be some things you two will change.

Secondly, What are you're thoughts on the artstyle of the show considering that Man of Action is working on the show?

Okay to start, I know I say it every time we get asks like this but y'all are genuinely so sweet and nice and it's just really really cool to see people enjoy our stuff. Like- especially fellow old fans of the franchise. I know Kaydin also really appreciates how sweet you guys are but just idk it feels like my fandom dreams come true when people like things like our au and art for this series

As for your questions...

Personally, to start, and this is Jack being slightly particularly- idk nitpicky? But there are three things I'd want to just- fix immediately and all three of them are Nicky related.

Number one, his shirt. I'm sorry guys but I've been here since the alphas and I didn't even realize this was his Sharkotron T-shirt. It's- It's just an egg

Number two, I realized after intense studying of Nicky's- face that it looks really weird when he's front facing, but his nose is facing right. So scenes like this suddenly seem- off model for no reason? I've poorly edited the image below to fix both of these

Yes I am too lazy to edit them properly, sadly. Did make his shirt logo still one colour for ease of animation. Idk why but left facing nose Nicky just looks less weird. Just me and kaydin? Maybe.

Number three- uh... that hairline is atrocious /lh

I know he wears his goggles in the show like constantly but also- this is a 13 year old boy guys. I was 13 once and I have a very flat (minus a widows peak) hairline, but it did not stop my hair from falling all over my face, and I think it's fair to assume the same for the kid who's hair refuses to behave anyway

Just fluff him up a lil (again I'm sorry these aren't better edits lol)

You don't even have to have it show when his goggles are up because like a headband or headphones it pushes hair back, or otherwise

Although ironically while I'm explaining what I would change in the designs, I don't mind the art style at all, actually I kind of love it. Sure some things you kinda of have to get used to, like their ears being pretty low to the head, but in general I think it really fits the franchise. I know it didn't look too drastically different from the pilot, but there's so many little nuances in the designs that just make it better (especially when you look at characters like Trinity)

I've told Kaydin a dozen and a half times how I think show Nicky is the franchise's second best design for him. The first being this singular piece of art from Nicky's Diaries, like I have gone on for hours about why this rendering of him is just perfect.

Third being fan renders, followed by the book artstyle, the pilot and finally games

And while other designs I wasn't sure about when watching through the show the first time, really just lore hunting instead of caring about anyone who wasn't Trinity or Nicky ngl, when I started doing my expression analysis I realized just how nice the designs and individuality of the characters are. If you put Nicky's expressions oh Enzo or Ivan's on Trinity it wouldn't fit and that's something I don't think people would expect from a Hello Neighbor cartoon.

They also have things I can just appreciate as someone who's special interest is animation (but doesn't have the patience to animate TvT gotta love audhd) for example, just having shading even in shots where they could completely go without it. It makes it less drastic and a smoother transition when lighting gets intense. They're also now afraid to switch up camera angles and push the rigs for a more intense shot.

Smear frames!

God I love smear frames!!! It's another one of those things that It's like- knowing how much this cost Tinybuild, they could've easily cut it down to save money. But it just wouldn't have been as nice without it.

Sure there are probably people who look at the fact that Man of Action is working on the show and are disappointed by the art style. But I say this entirely genuinely when I say I couldn't picture this show looking any other way and working as it does.

Yeah, they could've used more realistic proportions for these kids, but it works so much better when it's pushed like this when Mr. Peterson is nearly double their height. He's visibly a hulking intimidating man who could lift a middle schooler and lock them away. You fear his build which contrasts his outfit best (really feels like they took the book description of him and just pushed it, as we know he doesn't have this same stature in the games)

Plus it feels like in general, they stopped focusing on that dumb "Oh we need to hide things in every frame" which- thank God. Sure they are still hiding little details, hell I have changed a whole chunk of theory about Theodore's relationship with his son because of something I found on accident

I'm not gonna go into it here lol because this is already long and it's supposed to be about the animation.

Are they still building mysteries and people are still crafting theories? Absolutely! Not a day goes by that I haven't been thinking about whether or not Aaron will ever be seen in the series in the present day and if he is, what he will be like mentally.

But the point is, they're focusing on crafting something GOOD over just theory fodder. Both animation and story-wise, and I can appreciate that so much.

Like- this is gonna be a really hot Jack take here so be aware.

I enjoy this franchise and it's spinoffs much more than the FNAF franchise.

Sure, Hello Neighbor one is and will always be awful. But I am 100x more likely to play Hello Neighbor 2 or Secret Neighbor than I am to play any fnaf game myself.

When I make fnaf content it is almost entirely AU based. Because the idea of getting lore super wrong since I just can't be bothered to try and figure that convoluted mess out is annoying. Why even try to solve lore if I need to read more than 10 books for a minor detail that becomes a major antagonist? We can't even get a full confirmed backstory for the main antagonist!

But with Hello Neighbor they realized that people don't want to be jumping through 50 hoops for lore. Yes we want mystery, but one we can solve without dumb contrivances and plot holes.

Do I still love FNAF? Of course. My senior quote is from William Afton ffs ("You may not recognize me at first, but I can assure you, it's still me") but one of these franchises is growing to better itself and gain more love, while the other is slowly becoming more of something I enjoy without trying to understand, and I think the Hello Neighbor animated series is- the pinnacle of this difference.

I love Welcome to Ravenbrooks. I love Hello Neighbor. I can’t wait to see what comes next from TinyBuild, and how season two will be even better than season one. (As proven by the fact that Nicky gets to yell louder in that one teaser clip alone than anyone got to in season one lol)

OH MY GOD I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ASK

i have been ITCHING to have some constructive conversations about makeup that are not so much about consumption as they are about techniques, artistry and just the joy of bringing different aesthetics to life. but unfortunately none of my girlfriends are into it to the level i am. i'm obsessed!!!! to anyone reading this, don't use me as a role model, but this is where i'm at LOL 😂 it truly is a hobby for me

What are your favorite brands?

in the past i wouldn't have said i had a favourite brand per se, but i've been converted to being a mac girl! as a result of them not really promoting themselves in online spaces i was not exposed to their products and they kind of flew under the radar, even though we do have mac stores here (quite a few, actually). also the price point lol so i much preferred to buy drugstore when i was younger. but, at this point, i have so much stuff already that i am planning to not buy as much in the future and just purchase one or two mac products every couple of months, because they have so many things!

for example, i love love love how all the mac girls combine their lipsticks and liners and honestly the idea of using a cool-toned lip liner or a contrasting shade for definition has been such a game changer in a world where so many makeup-wearers have taken to maintaining this uniform, dull look (sorry zoomers but clean girl makeup is just not that girl she will never be that girl!!). i also love the limited edition lipsticks they brought back for the 40-year anniversary and literally scoured every website & phoned every mac store in town to get my hands on bubbles, haku and fleshpot ☠️they are such unusual shades, like, first of all, i have to say that i love how the really nude fleshpot looks against a dark liner. it's soooo ~alternative and a fun way to reference the 90s. bubbles & haku are so colour-shifting in the light as well, i just keep staring at them sometimes :)) they are definitely not the type of colours i would usually wear and i'm not the biggest fan of frosts either. but you know what? looking back, this y2k trend did, in fact, slay

i also managed to snag the stone lip liner, which is always out of stock, as you know. they are releasing new ones at the end of the month and i have my eyes on 'greige' as an additional cool-toned liner (these are SO hard to find). to top off my collection, i managed to find the makeup forever liners in endless cacao and even whatever black (and, of course) our dependable drugstore girlfriend rimmel cappuccino.

but, to come back to the question of brands, i've always felt that maybelline are such an accessible source of good quality lipsticks on the cheaper side. their lip crayons are legit one of my favourites of all time. so lightweight on the lips and so easy to apply. the shade 'lead the way' is the best possible charlotte tillbury pillow talk dupe. the superstay vinyl ink liquid lipsticks are also quite good. the superstay MATTE inks will /not/ budge and probably survive the apocalypse if that's your thing. they have a wide selection of everything you might want, but i feel like the lips is where they are truly excellent

other brands from which i've purchased a lot are essence/catrice. similarly, they have a wide range of products of decent quality that you buy at a lower price point. i don't know about their foundations or powders, but i've bought lip liners, lipsticks, nail polishes, highlighters, blushes and they've all been more than fine

i should mention nyx here as well, as they often have cool stuff that goes viral. VERY good source of lip liners. the fixing spray is also very good. would not buy eyeshadow from them though. i did once and it was very patchy and all the purples looked gray and you couldn't really tell the colours apart. as far as eye palettes are concerned, my collection is mainly from urban decay and colourpop

What product can you not live without?

oooooooffff many! 😂 but, if i was in an absolute hurry, i suppose i would have to say concealer. i have dark circles and if, i just had to put one thing on my face, i would have to be practical and choose that instead of something more unhinged. :)) i'm currently using a cream concealer and realised, at my big age, that, if you apply it with a special concealer brush, you can use way less product and get better coverage 🤦 this technique is also a lot more effective at covering any pimples. before this i was using the same sponge i use for foundation application and was always left wanting. ☠️

What are your everyday makeup go to's in terms of products you reach for and enjoy,

for someone who has a lot of stuff (mainly lipsticks, liners and eyeshadows, to be honest), i have a lot of staple products as well that i don't really mess with and keep repurchasing. it's simplified my life a lot because i don't have the energy to keep trying makeup in every single category :))

the COTY airspun loose face powder - there is a lot of product in one unit (35g) and, since i have oily skin, i go through a lot, but one box of this lasts me a few months, which is amazing. before this i was using the fenty loose powder, but it's a lot more expensive and has less product

the MAC extra dimension blush, shade 'into the pink'. i've had this for two years, used it constantly and just managed to hit a little bit of pan. it's life-changing. finally, i had found a cool-toned blush. perfect for everyday and you do not have to think too much when applying because the colour doesn't build up like crazy to make you look like you've been stung by a bee

the essence liquid ink eyeliner. this thing is so cheap, lasts forever and does not smudge. idek how many of them i've used up over the years

the essence lash princess in green. i'm so pretentious about mascara and could never find one that didn't clump. this one is the best i've tried so far.

the rimmel brow this way crayon in the shade 'blonde'. like with mascara, i NEVER liked my eyebrow pencils, the shades were always off somehow, darker than i needed. this is legit the only one that is the exact colour of my brows and fits seamlessly. i go through these constantly. recently, out of curiosity, i've purchased a similar-looking tube, the alverde brow stick in the shade 04 macchiato (for my DM girlies!) and it seems to be doing the same job. relieved to know i have a backup if rimmel ever discontinue theirs!

the urban decay matte fixing spray. this is a holy grail for a reason. it's getting increasingly more difficult to find in my country though. also, i will have to put this under the microscope bc lately it felt a bit powdery on my skin so it's either i didn't shake it enough, they changed the formula or my combination-oily ass face is acting up again

i use these every time i put makeup on, except the mac blush and the urban decay fixing spray, but even so, i use those two very often. they've become regulars in my routine, but they're not the most exciting products (except the mac blush. that is such a pretty shade). but, for fun, i'm very much a glitter and highlighter person 😂 i recently, finally, bought some of the kaleidos highlighters and they truly are incredible in the way they catch the light and how the colours shift when you move. so those are what i'd label the products i look forward to the most atm, along with haku, bubbles, fleshpot and stone

which products do you hate?

so, no matter how much i try, i just cannot get along with lipgloss. unless i'm going to bed! then when i wake up it has done its magic and my lips are a little less dry and chapped 😂 but as a daytime product, it just gets everywhere, it's very sticky and smudgy and i don't like having to constantly check my lips in the mirror to fix it. just a major hassle overall. likewise with lipsticks that are too glossy and never stay in one place. lip oils? why.

i've also had the misfortune to purchase some foundations i really fucking hate and i have been painstakingly trying to finish them (i have a high chance of finishing two of them this autumn), as i don't really like to waste product. the MUP liquid waterproof foundation is way too thick and cakey and the shiseido revitalessence skin glow is way too liquid and patchy. formulation-wise, these products are the exact opposite but both of them turn me into an oil bath lol

i also don't like cream blushes, highlighters or bronzers. i have oily skin and have to set with powder, so it would be an extra hassle for me to make sure these products can still be seen after i apply the powder. i saw that some people set them with the powder versions of the same product, but that just sounds like extra steps to me and just an excuse to hoard even more products and complicate the routine even more

speaking of blushes and bronzers, cool-toned makeup is just so hard to find in general, everything is orange and peach these days. i have been really contemplating some products i've accumulated mindlessly over the years and i'm going to have to declutter a lot of my blushes and bronzers because they just make me look crazy. they are either way too orange or dark or hyper pigmented. i am very pale and do not tan so i really much prefer either just straight up taupe or pinkish blushes. here i really have to recommend c-, j- or k-beauty because there you can find these tones exactly and i can finally wear some flattering shades 😂

and, i have to say, erin parsons and not_another_hanna on TT, who like wearing cool-toned makeup on the regular, are absolute queens and have such a distinctive, stand-out style. you can tell they don't really care about looking conventional and really appreciate the artistry of playing with colours and formulas in interesting ways

After using Spyder Pro 5, web browser images over-saturate even if spyder’s calibration is turned off rIP, making it an absolute eyestrain. Previewing image files and setting the colour profile to srgb on CSP is fine tho, and the two screens now match atleast! (Main issue I had before was that the screen colours were too different). My guess is that the screens view things like browsers through adobe rgb now which over-saturates unless I can change the web browser to view as srgb 😅

My monitor is supposed to be 127% srgb but spyder says it’s 99% rIP. Still a good percentage but I somehow lost 27% dFGDBDF. Edit: 127% is too much anyway so it fixed that lol

Happy October!

This was planned for yesterday, but comp opening and I had bugs to fix.

I managed to "finish" the game and submitted it just on time!

The current build (playable on the IF Comp website starting yesterday lol!) is about 40-50k words long, including all variation (excluding: "codex", "player page", the arcade mode" and some text widgets). While the cap to reach an end is 14 in-game days, the game can be completed around day 5-6 if you only serve perfect drinks. Also, you can just skip that and play the Arcade for lulz.

This has been super nerve-wracking, submitting something to the big league of comps for IF, and it is about to be even more nerve-wracking having people not only play but judging it. It's exciting, but I am a bit anxious about it. And now judging has started...

BUT: my goal was to submit a working project with more than just making random drinks (so a minimum of a story) and place in the top half of the ranking. I've achieved the first, hopefully, the second will be true too :D

Still, I have learned A LOT working on this project: making special widgets, optimizing my code, editing some JavaScript, including more accessibility (key biding, animation-blocker), creating a more interactive game for the player than just choice lists, mastering flex boxes, using the memorize() function (which I had to remove at the end cause it was creating bugs...), using more custom animations in CSS, etc...

I am quite proud of having done all of that in like 3 months or so. Probably not the best timeframe to upload a comp game but eh, I did it anyways :P

I have a bunch of ideas on what to add, but I'll think about that in November. Expect a "post-mortem"/roadmap coming before the Comp Result.

In the meantime, play TTTT on the IF Comp website, as well as the other amazing entries there! Give all participants some love <3 We all worked really hard for it.

Since the last update (only UI x, x) back last February, I've received a handful of reports of bugs in some paths and other issues (typos, colour contrast, etc..). I started looking into it, hoping this would just that, and... there will be quite a bit more to fix on top of those. (It's real rough... I feel very ashamed)

I have learned A LOT about coding since I first made this project public last year. Not only that, but also about formatting text on the screen.

I know full well I should keep the project shelved and leave it be. I've worked enough on it. It showed what I could do at that point in time and is a great point of reference to see how far I've gone.

And yet, looking into the code just made me wince a bit... Especially when I know I could improve it and actually try to make it more accessible in general.

So yeah... Update incoming.

Lol, I already added 1k of words for the English version bc proofreading/editing.

MelS had been writing a few hundred words here and there, pretty much when he gets a chance to write (he's been super busy). He promised me to try to finish the missing Scene of Chapter 2 so I can code them in for the end of the month release. I have a backup planned if this doesn't work out.

Currently not much on that front. But further updates will be planned throughout the month!

OTHER PROJECTS/NOTES:

I will be uploading 3 more rounds of Exquisite Cadaver sometime this month and add another theme! You will see another theme form passing by to choose the next one :)

I am also bringing Crimson Rose & White Lily out of official Hiatus. The writing of the next scene has technically started, but it won't be full steam ahead for another week or two.

I am taking SugarCube coding questions again! If you need an explanation about the use of a certain macro, or how to do a certain thing in CSS, etc...

Will I manage doing everything this month? Probably not :P

👁️ EYE - what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical…)?

Golden! And since their eyes are big, so people do notice them easily (but I guess that's also because asura heads are also usually big)... Also! They glow in the dark. 😏 It starts as soon as dawn/dusk/any slight darkening... (realistically they just reflect light but hhhh glowy eyes pog)

👻 GHOST - do they believe in ghosts? what are their “ghostly experiences”, if any?

They do! I mean yeah since ghosts exist in Tyria They did see some even when they were traveling the world, but the number of ghost sightings greatly increased in Elona (*coughs* The Desolation). They usually don't care/bother though so they don't have any experiences to speak of.

💥 COLLISON - what emotions do they have trouble dealing with?

Hmm maybe grief? Like... they can deal with it but pretty badly as they haven't learned to mourn properly since they never had the "chance".

😨 FEARFUL - when scared, do they go into “flight” or “fight”?

Fight! 💥 They're ready to throw hands at the slightest spook anytime.

🌙 MOON - what is your oc’s greatest wish? how far are they willing to go for it?

Hmmm I guess at the core of them, "be the wisest necromancer of all time" is the one. They almost straight up died for it once (days of starving in the prisons of Gandara just so they could learn necromancy from Joko), so yeah they're willing to go pretty far. 😈

🕷️ SPIDER - what is their biggest fear? do they have any irrational / mundane fears?

They're terrified of any kind/amount of memory loss. While some people may fear being forgotten, Gliaster fears forgetting.

Mundane fears, mostly...sand sharks! More specifically, getting jumpscared and eaten by a sand shark.

🌹 ROSE - do they like valentines day? have they been confessed to before? have they confessed to anyone before?

They don't really care for it; they love their beloved every 365 day of the year! Plus, they prefer surprises; affection and gifts are best when they're unexpected and not "ohh I bought you this because it's x day."

And yes to both! Gliaster is (Rick Astley voice) no stranger to love and has been on both end of confessions.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

My inspiration was my love for Joko and Elona, which kickstarted breaking Gliaster out of the shackles of being the Commander and turned them into my 100% "original" character! But I remember the very first thing I decided about them was their gender.❤️ I looked at asura and went wow I want what they have. I instantly knew Gliaster would have none of any gender.

📣 MEGAPHONE - how loud are they? what do they speak like? got a voice claim?

Even though it sounds nice and appealing, their voice is quite high-pitched, which is something they're insecure about (and the older they get the more insecure they get as well). I do not have a spoken voice claim, only sung one, but it is Aneela Mirza! Some might know her from the 90's europop duo Toy-Box, lol.

🪤 MOUSE TRAP - what will always lure them into certain danger? a loved one in danger? a promise of something they are always searching for?

Oh yes, a loved one in danger for sure... But also some source of knowledge that is thought to be very valuable. They try to think rationally and be careful if a suspicion of a bait ever happens (knowing well they're not-so-liked in some areas) but god do their emotions and curiosity get the better of them sometimes...

👑 CROWN - what does your oc want to be remembered as? why?

Definitely the books they write post-Joko, which is something no one really has done before (especially not from Gliaster's POV, who knew Joko intimately for 10 years)

They also want to be remembered for their necromancer skills, because it's something they've honed all their life.

🎵 MUSIC NOTE - what is their playlist like? their favourite artists? do you associate a particular song with them?

N/A for the first part of the question, but yee I have few songs like that!

"Whenever Wherever" by Shakira is their theme song (like the lyrics "Lucky that I love a foreign land for / the lucky fact of your existence" is sooooo perfect)

"Dancing with the Dead" by Powerwolf is pog as well (The whole thing just inspires me to really turn them into the next expansion villain lmao)

Not particularly want, but if it happened, they wouldn't mind... 😏 (They're not really a fan of cheesy stuff like that anyway)

Nope! They turn their back hardly, and if they do so, their back will be covered. They're prepared for everything because they believe that anything they have done (for example, treason and murder :^)) could also be done to them. And yes as mentioned, they would betray someone (and did before) but only by their own decision and not an outside control.
