Okay, look, I've been in college for two years and my Biology professor has pretty significantly rooted this educational science game called Labster into her course.

I was not expecting to be playing Portal all day for school.

Yeah, this is a full, 360 sci-fi free roam lab environment that you can pretty much do whatever you want in. You know those cruddy flash game experiments you used to do in middle school? Those are a thing of the past.

And check this: the entire lab is being run by this super cool AI droid named Dr. One

She floats around and directs you around the lab depending on the lesson you're taking and sounds eerily similar to GLaDOS. It turns out that Dr. One also has a lore page and that she was created originally for "unethical purposes."

Also, this environment is extremely detailed and even runs shaders and ambient occlusion in your web browser.

That's pretty nuts, considering the only time we ever see these things are built into genuine video games, not a web browser lab. It runs incredibly smoothly on my GTX 1050.

This is insanely impressive and I actually enjoyed my homework today. 10/10, would play this in my free time.

i'm struggling with a game type/story

i'm balancing between a bbieal type game and a rhythm heaven/warioware type game

i really don't know what to do!

i will be uhh what's the word for hiring but like with no money

not that I'm cheap, I just honestly cant pay

and a Uyghur boy who’s moved to her community from China after finding acceptance in an online community (even when he doesn’t agree with their more extreme views) - but when he gets to know Bugz, he has to decide who truly deserves his loyalty

great mix of sff and culture, the future while also very real community traumas of the past (and present)

You want children to learn about animals, know about them in a way that is fun and engaging.

You want children to cherish nature and protect it.

You also want children to respect nature and its wonders.

To do this they need a way to interact with it in a way that is safe, both for them and nature.

The Náttúruval deck only includes animals that are living today, they can all be studied and protected today. Some of them are endangered and some are vulnerable. But they are all still with us today and we should do as much as we can do for them to stay alive.

All of the pictures include a single adult of the species that is alive and not in the middle of something a child might find scary. The goal is not to sensationalize predators or show dramatic points of view. The goal is to show that every animal has a part to play in nature.

Snakes, sharks, spiders and insects are all very unpopular and/or feared. Large predators thought of just killing innocent animals. But hating them and wanting them eradicated is a an opinion we should all agree is detrimental to preservation of nature. All animals have a part of their ecosystem and therefore important.

You want your child to know about the importance of each animal their role in the circle of life.

We made a game that uses real life information of the animal kingdom to give kids a chance to learn about a wide variety of animals from all over the world in a fun and playful way.

so a month ago i started learning coding and i'm still in the beginner stages (primarily focus on HTML, CSS, javascript, a bit of python and react) and today i made my first browser point & shoot game :)

it's not fancy or polished but that's kinda the point - just me following a tutorial to see what i can do and prove to myself that i can. the background is mine, the bird sprites are taken from said tutorial, so you're welcome to take a look (and even post your highest score in the tags, who knows) -- my own record is in the 600s.
