🌊INDISCRIMINATE🌊 I used to say that lust is indiscriminate. When you are in its thrall you are much more likely to do unexpected things with unexpected partners simply to find fulfilment. This is because it comes from a deeper base of craving within the energy field, the karmic charge. We fixate in an object, but it is not the object we desire but the fulfilment of the underlying craving. That is why one craving is usually replaced with another. Food for smoking, exercise for sex. What is it you are truly craving? I’ve felt a depth of anger and grief in the past few days and I now realise that this lack of discrimination applies to all emotions. If you are happy everything seems good or better. If we are grieving, anything will hurt our sensitivity. It will look for anywhere to go. Emotions are like the elements. We can work with them if we master them. We are constantly transmuting unconsciously, from fear to hate, from anger to determination. The only thing that does not change is love (and not desire or attachment disguised as love). Love cannot be transmuted into any other form. It is not an emotion but a state. The original state. Love has taught me that I can love my past partners, and still let them go. I can then love their new partners, and love their children too. Love is the litmus test of everything. Am I moving and acting out of love? I wrote a poem after our friend died that shocked me. The grief became anger. I wouldn’t have thought I could write such words. I’ll share it with you maybe sometime. I know it comes from grief not love. And that can feel so satisfying because emotions love to be expressed and magnified. Be aware of your emotions.
