Essential Mobile Application Features for 2025: What Users Expect Today
Tumblr media
Mobile applications are no more an added advantage but have become essential in people’s lives. As the mobile platform continues to permeate into all aspects, including shopping, entertainment, learning, and working, the utility app users demand better app performances, innovations, and customized services.
This is because every stakeholder today is planning to have their business online to explore the benefits that come with it, hence the need to prepare and design your mobile application with the following features to meet the needs of 2025 and beyond.
1. Personalization Powered by AI
Tumblr media
Personalization has become the cornerstone of great user experiences. Apps equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) analyze user behavior, preferences, and patterns to offer tailored recommendations, content, and notifications.
For example, e-commerce apps recommend products based on past purchases, while streaming platforms suggest content aligned with users’ tastes.
Integrating AI ensures a dynamic and engaging experience that keeps users coming back for more.
2. Cross-Platform Compatibility
Tumblr media
When there are more devices on the market, and these devices use different operating systems, the users expect the applications to be as fluid as possible. For it to be as effective as a smartphone application or software, it should have compatibility with Android, iOS, and any web platform.
This saves developmental costs and affords users a similar experience regardless of the device they choose to stick with.
Organizations can use other mobile app development software tools like Flutter or React Native to accomplish this goal effectively.
3. Voice and Gesture Control
Tumblr media
With voice operations like Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant, among others, now going mainstream, the apps have to have voice and even gesture support.
Users expect to perform tasks hands-free, making voice commands a must-have feature.
The intelligent movements make the app navigation easy and accessibility friendly to all the users across different age brackets.
4. Advanced Security Features
Tumblr media
With cyber threats on the rise, security is a top priority for app users.
Features like fingerprint/face unlock, encryption of data across the application, and multi-factor authentication are no longer luxuries.
Consumers require confidence that their data is safe, particularly in the apps that require information of such nature as is found in banking or health applications.
5. Offline Functionality
Tumblr media
The users themselves often cannot always be connected to the internet, although they are very particular about some functionalities of the app not requiring an internet connection.
Offline functionality is important for note-taking, navigation, and entertainment apps.
This way an app is guaranteed to keep its users engaged in spite of connectivity, as most data would have been cached locally.
6. Seamless Payment Integration
Tumblr media
Electronic commerce has later on become a trend, so ensuring that payments require easy and streamlined processes is a necessity.
Apps have to support a variety of payment choices such as credit cards, digital wallet services, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cryptocurrency, and the like.
Minimizing the steps of completing the order and enhancing the security parameters increases user satisfaction and sales.
7. Social Media Integration
Tumblr media
In the world of sharing, the apps that can integrate the users with their significant social accounts, including Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn, turn out to be beneficial.
The use of social media accounts streamlines the sign-up process; reporting of achievements for games or even recommendations for a product increases the circulation of the app and engagements.
8. Real-Time Updates and Push Notifications
Tumblr media
Keeping users informed in real-time is essential.
Push notifications ensure users don’t miss out on updates, offers, or alerts.
However, they must be used judiciously to avoid overwhelming the user. Tailored notifications based on user behavior perform better than generic ones.

#projectLUMENasks : For every single one of the questions we have answered so far!
》F.A.Q.《
What is this?
Project LUMEN is an effort to bring the Life Series to life in a brand new way, in videogame form! A RPG of sorts with battle mechanics, interaction with npcs, our own unique spin in Watcher Lore, changing art styles and multiple endings with a bunch of mechanics we need to keep secret for now but we know you all will enjoy, at least we hope so.
Cool, how can I contribute?
We want LUMEN to be a game by the community for the community, a tribute to all the wonderful artists, writers and creatives of all kinds. And it is a HUGE project, as such, all help is appreciated. We plan to open applications from time to time to recruit people as passionate as us into our little team. But everyone can lend a hand if they so desire, all ideas, all likes, all reblogs, all comments, all art, is truly, genuinely appreciated. Project LUMEN is completely non-profit, a passion project turned group effort that we are willing to pour our heart into, and we want to be as transparent as possible with it.
How will development of the game itself go?
As for specifications, Kori is the one in charge of the coding department, we are going to use Unity and C# to program everything, Arto will manage music and Pinkish will be in charge of the Martyn and Ren section. But once we review our first batch of applications, we will contact our chosen ones with more details, either for character sprites, script or any other miscellaneous things. We will all be working together as a team, each contributing as much as they so desire.
We will then take to developing our early alpha build including our very first couple of chapters, and release it for playtesting, then we will take all the feedback and make the pertinent changes. We will improve the game and continue developing until we have an almost finished beta build that we will then publish for testing. Take all the criticism again to finally reveal our finished product. Releasing first on itch io and then hopefully ported into Newgrounds for mobile compatibility.
Is there a release date?
As of now, we'd rather not promise anything. But we are actively working on development, and we hope to, at the very least, have a playable alpha demo at the end of this year.

Homeless Disabled/Mostly Queer Family Needs Help...In The Home Stretch Now!
PAYPAL | AMAZON WISHLIST | KOFI | GOFUNDME
VENMO: @penaltywaltz | CASHAPP: $afteriwake23 | ZELLE: DM me for email address
4/22/24 - Update/Newish Post
It's been a busy week, but I no longer have a mobile hotspot I can use at the shelter, so I'm redoing the post on the pinned post.
So last week I had the county share my County of San Diego Section 8 housing application (which I've been waiting on for 17 years) with the City of Oceanside Housing Office, which is the city I currently have a three bedroom house waiting for me if I can get on their Section 8 list. So we're still waiting to hear if they'll bump me up on the Oceanside list, but yeah. That's where housing currently stands.
What I primarily need help with is bills. I have a $500 loan and a $300 loan coming out May 2nd. I have some assorted PayPal 4 in 4 payments coming out as early as the 26th that I need to cover (totaling at least $700 to get Mr paid off or through to when I'll have money). I have a few credit cards of my mom's that need to be paid or are close to being paid off, and that's at least $350.
I'm going to set the goal at $2,000 because, fingers crossed, if I can pay these last few things off I'll have money to put towards gas, food, Lena's glasses and other essentials without having to take out loans next month at all. So any help would be much appreciated!

Hello! I know this is a very broad question, but it's one I consistently run into when writing characters with any disability, so hopefully you guys can at least give some tips!
A lot of the time, the stories I write are tragedies, and so many of the major characters end up either being bad people, or making bad decisions. Usually I start with writing why the character is tragic, then creating an outline of things that may have led them to be this way, which include outside influences and internal traits. Sometimes when I continue to flesh out the character, I realize that some traits could be attributed to living with a disability. Though I consider implementing that disability into how I develop the character, I run into the problem that this character could now be interpreted as being a bad person because of their disability.
As much as I want to include disability in my stories, I'm worried about perpetuating stereotypes or creating caricatures where disability = bad. How do I include disability in tragedies while still being respectful, and while keeping it an important part of their character?
Hello!
We've answered asks about writing disabled villains or otherwise "bad" characters in the past, one of which I've linked here. Even if your characters aren't necessarily villains or bad people, a lot of the information there can be applicable here as well.
Writing disabled characters as bad people or people that make bad decisions from time to time is good! Far too often people think that disabled people are always nice little angels who can't do anything wrong, which simply isn't true. Disabled people are still people, we can make bad decisions. This is something I'd personally like to see more in stories, honestly.
That being said, this is a subject that should be handled carefully, especially given the history of tropes such as the Evil Cripple trope [Link] and the Good Prosthetic, Evil Prosthetic trope [Link], which also equates morality to mobility aids.
One thing that is very important is to make sure that your disabled character isn't the only person making these bad decisions or being a bad person. If you have a cast of characters that are all making these bad choices, then it's generally fine. Your disabled character isn't being singled out as a bad person (Though, keep in mind that doing the opposite and writing them as the only morally good person is also harmful).
Another thing to consider is that if you do have your disabled character be an especially bad person, make sure to have another disabled character that is more on the good side of things. Of course, in stories where everyone is making bad decisions or being a bad person, this is a bit more difficult to do.
Something else to consider is which traits you're giving to characters with which disabilities. A lot of disabilities have certain tropes or associations that should generally be avoided, especially if they're the only character with that trait.
For example, if your only character with a missing eye is a super villain, that's a problem. If your only character with dwarfism is always/often angry, that's a problem. If your only character with facial scarring is a bitter/angry person, that's a problem.
The other big thing is to make sure that your disabled character's disability isn't the reason that they're acting badly. The post I linked talks about this a bit but essentially, if your character is only a bad person because of their disability or the circumstances around it, what do you think that's saying to your disabled readers?
Cheers,
~ Mod Icarus

Determined to use her skills to fight inequality, South African computer scientist Raesetje Sefala set to work to build algorithms flagging poverty hotspots - developing datasets she hopes will help target aid, new housing, or clinics.
From crop analysis to medical diagnostics, artificial intelligence (AI) is already used in essential tasks worldwide, but Sefala and a growing number of fellow African developers are pioneering it to tackle their continent's particular challenges.
Local knowledge is vital for designing AI-driven solutions that work, Sefala said.
"If you don't have people with diverse experiences doing the research, it's easy to interpret the data in ways that will marginalise others," the 26-year old said from her home in Johannesburg.
Africa is the world's youngest and fastest-growing continent, and tech experts say young, home-grown AI developers have a vital role to play in designing applications to address local problems.
"For Africa to get out of poverty, it will take innovation and this can be revolutionary, because it's Africans doing things for Africa on their own," said Cina Lawson, Togo's minister of digital economy and transformation.
"We need to use cutting-edge solutions to our problems, because you don't solve problems in 2022 using methods of 20 years ago," Lawson told the Thomson Reuters Foundation in a video interview from the West African country.
Digital rights groups warn about AI's use in surveillance and the risk of discrimination, but Sefala said it can also be used to "serve the people behind the data points". ...
'Delivering Health'
As COVID-19 spread around the world in early 2020, government officials in Togo realized urgent action was needed to support informal workers who account for about 80% of the country's workforce, Lawson said.
"If you decide that everybody stays home, it means that this particular person isn't going to eat that day, it's as simple as that," she said.
In 10 days, the government built a mobile payment platform - called Novissi - to distribute cash to the vulnerable.
The government paired up with Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) think tank and the University of California, Berkeley, to build a poverty map of Togo using satellite imagery.
Using algorithms with the support of GiveDirectly, a nonprofit that uses AI to distribute cash transfers, the recipients earning less than $1.25 per day and living in the poorest districts were identified for a direct cash transfer.
"We texted them saying if you need financial help, please register," Lawson said, adding that beneficiaries' consent and data privacy had been prioritized.
The entire program reached 920,000 beneficiaries in need.
"Machine learning has the advantage of reaching so many people in a very short time and delivering help when people need it most," said Caroline Teti, a Kenya-based GiveDirectly director.
'Zero Representation'
Aiming to boost discussion about AI in Africa, computer scientists Benjamin Rosman and Ulrich Paquet co-founded the Deep Learning Indaba - a week-long gathering that started in South Africa - together with other colleagues in 2017.
"You used to get to the top AI conferences and there was zero representation from Africa, both in terms of papers and people, so we're all about finding cost effective ways to build a community," Paquet said in a video call.
In 2019, 27 smaller Indabas - called IndabaX - were rolled out across the continent, with some events hosting as many as 300 participants.
One of these offshoots was IndabaX Uganda, where founder Bruno Ssekiwere said participants shared information on using AI for social issues such as improving agriculture and treating malaria.
Another outcome from the South African Indaba was Masakhane - an organization that uses open-source, machine learning to translate African languages not typically found in online programs such as Google Translate.
On their site, the founders speak about the South African philosophy of "Ubuntu" - a term generally meaning "humanity" - as part of their organization's values.
"This philosophy calls for collaboration and participation and community," reads their site, a philosophy that Ssekiwere, Paquet, and Rosman said has now become the driving value for AI research in Africa.
Inclusion
Now that Sefala has built a dataset of South Africa's suburbs and townships, she plans to collaborate with domain experts and communities to refine it, deepen inequality research and improve the algorithms.
"Making datasets easily available opens the door for new mechanisms and techniques for policy-making around desegregation, housing, and access to economic opportunity," she said.
African AI leaders say building more complete datasets will also help tackle biases baked into algorithms.
"Imagine rolling out Novissi in Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Ivory Coast ... then the algorithm will be trained with understanding poverty in West Africa," Lawson said.
"If there are ever ways to fight bias in tech, it's by increasing diverse datasets ... we need to contribute more," she said.
But contributing more will require increased funding for African projects and wider access to computer science education and technology in general, Sefala said.
Despite such obstacles, Lawson said "technology will be Africa's savior".
"Let's use what is cutting edge and apply it straight away or as a continent we will never get out of poverty," she said. "It's really as simple as that."

Since Elon Musk announced that he’ll be stepping back from his daily work with DOGE, perhaps you’ve been wondering if he has anything else to fill that time now that he’s shut down operations at America’s humanitarian-aid provider, wrecked much of the nation’s scientific-research infrastructure, and disrupted the communications systems at the Social Security Administration. One way to find out would be to ask Grok, his entry in the A.I. sweepstakes. “Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, has been making significant moves in Memphis,” Grok reports. “But these have sparked controversy.”
Indeed they have. Last year, Musk’s team secured an abandoned factory that used to belong to Electrolux, the vacuum-cleaner people on the edge of the city’s Boxtown neighborhood. As Musk explained at the time, “That’s why it’s in Memphis, home of Elvis and also one of the oldest—I think it was the capital of ancient Egypt.” With typical modesty, he renamed his vacuum factory Colossus, and started stuffing it with Nvidia graphics-processing units, or G.P.U.s, the basic building blocks of A.I. systems. At the moment, he has two hundred thousand of these G.P.U.s, and he’s headed for a million; by some estimates, he is expected to build the “largest supercomputer” in the world.
All that processing takes power to run, and so the xAI team moved about thirty-five mobile methane-gas-powered generators onto the site to support the data center. These are truck-mounted units, many of them designed by Caterpillar, which give off some of the same brew of pollutants as other gas-combustion device—including nitrogen oxides and formaldehyde—and which are currently operating without a permit. “xAI has essentially built a power plant in South Memphis with no oversight, no permitting, and no regard for families living in nearby communities,” the Southern Environmental Law Center said, in a report released in April. (Full disclosure: I volunteer every year to judge the S.E.L.C.’s Phil Reed prize for best environmental writing about the South). The S.E.L.C. has called for an “emergency order” from the city to require xAI to cease the use of these generators, with a twenty-five-thousand-dollar daily fine if the company refuses. The mayor of Memphis, Paul Young, a supporter of the project, addressed the concerns at a meeting with community members in March. “I want to figure out how we can exploit this project for us,” he said. “I know you all feel like it’s us getting exploited, but we need to speak from a place of strength.” After the S.E.L.C. issued its report, Young explained that the company has a permit application pending with the Shelby County Health Department to run fifteen generators. “There are thirty-five, but there are only fifteen that are on,” he said. “The other ones are stored on the site.”
It turns out that Young may be wrong about that number. SouthWings, a group of volunteer pilots who help monitor environmental problems, overflew the site with thermal-imaging equipment that showed at least thirty-three of the generators giving off lots of heat—indicating that they were fired up and running at the same time. (Young’s office and xAI didn’t respond to requests for comment.) Taken together, they would produce about four hundred and twenty megawatts of power—the equivalent of the Tennessee Valley Authority’s big gas-fired power plant nearby.
Memphis was, indeed, home to Elvis—but it was also, of course, where Martin Luther King, Jr., who came to the city to support striking sanitation workers, was assassinated, and it remains a place of sharp economic and racial division. It will surprise no one to learn that the neighborhoods in South Memphis surrounding Musk’s facility—including Boxtown and Westwood—are predominantly Black and also home to a number of industrial facilities, including chemical plants and an oil refinery. The area already has elevated levels of pollution compared with leafier precincts, and, according to Politico’s E&E News, “already leads the state in emergency department visits for asthma.” Those same neighborhoods came together at the beginning of the decade to fight, and ultimately defeat, the proposed forty-nine-mile-long crude-oil Byhalia pipeline, which would have run through the area. In that process, a new political star emerged: Justin Pearson, a young African American who rode that battle into the state legislature (from which he was later expelled for joining an anti-gun-violence protest on the floor of the Tennessee House after a shooting at a Christian school, only to soon be reappointed by the county and reëlected to office in the next election).
Pearson and his brother KeShaun, the director of a group called Memphis Community Against Pollution, are now helping lead the fight against xAI. They were prominent voices at a town hall of the Shelby County Health Department in late April, which a local NBC affiliate described as “unlike any other town hall in recent memory, with dozens of Shelby County sheriff’s deputies, Memphis police officers and Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers standing inside and outside of Fairley High School.” Citizens were allowed two minutes each to speak, but there were no responses to questions; after two hours the proceedings ended.
A company spokesman was shouted down at the meeting, but his written statement insisted that “XAl is going above and beyond the required emission control requirements. The Solar SMT-130 turbines will be equipped with SoLoNOx dry low emissions (D.L.E.) technology and selective catalytic reduction (S.C.R.) systems that lower nitrogen oxides (NOx) to 2 ppm.” The “Solar” here, though, has nothing to do with the power source—it’s the name of Caterpillar’s turbine division, which stems from the Solar Aircraft Company, founded in the late nineteen-twenties, whose name was derived from the fact that it was based in sunny San Diego.)
“I feel like my community is being disrespected,” Justin Pearson (whom I got to know during the Byhalia fight) told me in an e-mail. “I feel like my friends and neighbors and family members are being ignored—both by xAI itself and city leaders championing this data center that is emitting pollution into our air. Some of those leaders have mentioned the money that xAI will supposedly bring to Memphis, but what good is money if we have to struggle with polluted air? As the elders here say, ‘All money ain’t good money.’ ” He added, “Folks are angry and fearful. Some neighbors have expressed fear about letting children play outside or not enjoying time in their backyards because they don’t know what kind of pollution is in the air.”
Had Musk wanted to proceed differently, he could have. A report last year, from researchers at a number of energy and tech firms, made it clear that building arrays of solar microgrids is a quick and highly affordable plan for powering such data centers. “While building off-grid solar microgrids of this magnitude would be a first, it’s very possible to do with technology that exists today, and to scale it quickly,” the researchers found. They actually looked at Musk’s Memphis project and concluded that its use of portable gas generators was at best a one-off solution: “Most users of rental power plan to transition once possible because this approach carries very high costs and generally reliability is lower than permanent infrastructure.”
But cost is evidently not a big issue for Musk. (DOGE claims to have saved a hundred and sixty billion dollars in government spending, but a new analysis by the nonprofit Partnership for Public Service estimates that it only did so at a cost of a hundred and thirty-five billion dollars, because it has operated so quickly and ineptly.) Neither, judging from DOGE’s performance, is saving lives, but he could help do so in Memphis, if he wanted to. Pearson says, “Solar panels and battery storage would be a much cleaner alternative to methane gas turbines. Solar panels also don’t pump smog-forming pollution or chemicals like formaldehyde into nearby communities.”
More to the point, Musk’s actions in Memphis seem to presuppose that his experience in Washington will prove typical. There, he managed to enact his slash-and-burn damage in a few short weeks before leaving town, albeit with an approval rating even lower than the President’s. In Tennessee, he’s running into forces seasoned by several generations of struggle. During the Byhalia-pipeline dispute, Pearson recalled, “a representative from the pipeline company called my community the ‘path of least resistance.’ It seems like corporations don’t expect us to fight back, but we’ve proven that wrong time and time again. We’re going to do it again.”

The Sam Browne Belt: Crossing Authority and Command
The Sam Browne belt is more than a piece of equipment—it is a symbol of command, authority, and tradition. With its distinctive design—a wide leather belt crossing the chest via a diagonal strap—it has been worn by military officers, law enforcement, and other leaders for over a century. Its practicality, symbolic weight, and commanding presence make it an essential element of the Alpha’s uniform.
This essay explores the historical use of the Sam Browne belt, its significance as a symbol of authority, and its practical applications in rituals of dominance and control.
The History of the Sam Browne Belt
The Sam Browne belt originated in the 19th century and is named after General Sir Sam Browne, a British officer in India who designed it after losing his left arm in battle. Unable to use both hands to hold a sword and fasten his belt, he created a design that allowed the belt to be secured and supported by a diagonal shoulder strap.
The belt quickly became standard issue for officers in the British Army and other militaries around the world. Its practicality and unique design made it indispensable for carrying swords, pistols, or other equipment. By the early 20th century, it had become synonymous with military leadership and authority.
Symbolism of the Sam Browne Belt
The Sam Browne belt is far more than functional—it is a statement of power and command. Its crossing strap emphasizes the chest, drawing attention to the posture and presence of the wearer. The diagonal line visually separates the Alpha from the common soldier, highlighting his authority and discipline.
Why It Commands Respect:
• Historical Legacy: The belt is steeped in military tradition, tying the wearer to generations of leaders and commanders.
• Visual Impact: Its unique design creates an unmistakable silhouette, reinforcing the dominance and authority of the Alpha.
• Symbol of Readiness: The belt’s association with carrying weapons signals the wearer’s preparedness to lead and enforce order.
For the Alpha, the Sam Browne belt is a declaration of control. It tells all who see it that its wearer is not merely a participant but a master of the hierarchy.
Practical Applications in Dominance
The Sam Browne belt is as functional as it is symbolic. Designed to carry equipment and enhance mobility, it also serves as a versatile tool for asserting dominance and control in both ceremonial and private settings.
Uses in Dominance:
• Discipline and Restraint: The sturdy leather strap can be used to bind or restrain a submissive, creating a powerful physical and psychological connection to the Alpha.
• Punishment: The belt itself, or its shoulder strap, can be wielded as an instrument of correction, delivering both pain and humiliation.
• Ceremonial Authority: In formal displays of power, the belt enhances the Alpha’s commanding presence, ensuring his superiority is both visible and felt.
The Sam Browne belt transforms from a uniform accessory into a tool of the Alpha’s craft, its leather straps reinforcing his ability to dominate and control.
The Ritual of Wearing the Belt
Putting on the Sam Browne belt is a ritual in itself. The precise adjustment of its straps, the weight of the leather resting across the chest, and the act of securing it around the waist all symbolize preparation for command.
For the Alpha, this ritual is a reminder of his responsibility and power. Each step in the process reinforces his discipline, ensuring that he carries himself with the authority demanded by the belt.
For the submissive, the sight of the Alpha donning the Sam Browne belt is a powerful psychological experience. It signals the beginning of a display of dominance, a clear indication that the Alpha is ready to assert control.
The Sam Browne Belt in Ceremonial and Private Settings
The belt’s role is not confined to the battlefield or the parade ground—it is equally effective in private rituals of dominance and submission. Its historical associations with power and order make it a potent tool in the hands of the Alpha, capable of inspiring awe and fear in equal measure.
In Ceremonial Contexts:
• The belt amplifies the Alpha’s authority during inspections, parades, and other formal events.
• Its polished leather and precise fit reflect the Alpha’s discipline and attention to detail.
In Private Contexts:
• The belt can be used to restrain, punish, or humiliate, deepening the submissive’s sense of surrender.
• Its leather straps become instruments of control, their weight and texture leaving a lasting impression—both physically and mentally.
The Alpha’s Signature: The Sam Browne Belt as a Mark of Mastery
For the true Alpha, the Sam Browne belt is not just an accessory—it is a badge of command and a tool of dominance. Its crossing strap and polished leather demand respect, while its practical applications ensure that the Alpha’s control is absolute.
When worn, the belt transforms the Alpha into a figure of unassailable authority. It is a reminder of the discipline he upholds, the power he wields, and the legacy he carries.
Sir Cedric’s Reflection
The Sam Browne belt, to me, is the ultimate symbol of readiness and control. Every time I fasten its strap across my chest, I am reminded of the discipline and authority it represents. Its weight, its leather, and its precise fit are constant reminders of my role as a leader and master.
The belt is more than a part of my uniform—it is an extension of my will. Whether in ceremony or in private, it serves as a tool to reinforce my dominance, leaving no doubt in the minds of those beneath me.
Now, I ask you: What does the Sam Browne belt mean to you? Is it a symbol of the discipline you aspire to, or a reminder of the authority to which you surrender? Share your thoughts below, and let us reflect on the power of this timeless badge of command.
Step forward, and make your voice heard.

This means the broker has ensured that the domain was registered at or around the same time as the brand was officially created, which is a key indicator of its authenticity. Solarystone.com reviews has a solid reputation on Trustpilot, with a high average rating of 4.4 stars, based on over 2,900 reviews. This is a significant marker of trust, as it reflects positive feedback from a large number of users who have shared their experiences.

The Trustpilot platform allows users to rate their experiences, and brokers with high ratings generally have a strong track record of customer satisfaction. What is an Example of Incidental Damage?
When dealing with personal injury cases, understanding key terms like "incidental damages" is crucial. These secondary costs often go unnoticed but can play a significant role in the overall impact of an injury. Let’s delve deeper into what incidental damages are, how they arise, and why they matter in personal injury claims.
What Are Incidental Damages?
Incidental damages refer to additional expenses that occur as a direct result of another party’s wrongful actions or negligence. While these costs are secondary to the primary damages (such as medical bills or property repair), they are often necessary and unavoidable when addressing the consequences of the injury.
Key Characteristics of Incidental Damages:
Direct Link to the Incident: These costs stem directly from the initial injury or accident.
Unexpected Expenses: They often arise unexpectedly as you manage the aftermath of the primary damages.
Supplementary in Nature: They go beyond the obvious costs, adding to the financial burden of recovery.
Examples of Incidental Damages
To understand how incidental damages might apply, let’s look at specific examples:
Transportation Costs: Travel expenses for medical appointments, therapy sessions, or consultations.
Household Help: Hiring assistance for cleaning, cooking, or childcare due to limited mobility.
Replacement Items: Costs for items damaged in the incident, such as replacing a phone or laptop.
Temporary Housing: Expenses for staying elsewhere if your home becomes uninhabitable due to the accident.
Lost Wages: Income lost from missed workdays, particularly if they are tied to appointments or recovery needs.
A Real-Life Scenario
Imagine you’re involved in a car accident where another driver runs a red light and crashes into your vehicle.
Primary Damages: These include hospital bills, rehabilitation costs, and repairs for your car.
Incidental Damages: You might face additional costs, such as:
Paying for transportation to physical therapy sessions.
Replacing a broken phone that was damaged in the accident.
Hiring someone to assist with daily tasks while you recover from injuries.
While incidental damages may seem minor compared to primary expenses, they can accumulate quickly, creating a substantial financial burden.
The Legal Context of Incidental Damages
In personal injury claims, incidental damages are an essential part of the compensation process. Here’s how they are handled:
Proving Eligibility: You must demonstrate that these costs are directly connected to the accident and were necessary for recovery.
Maintaining Documentation: Receipts, invoices, and detailed logs of expenses are critical to substantiating your claim.
Legal Recognition: Courts recognize incidental damages as part of a fair compensation package, provided they are adequately justified.
Challenges in Claiming Incidental Damages
While incidental damages are legitimate, they can be difficult to claim without proper preparation:
Proof of Necessity: You’ll need to show that these expenses were reasonable and directly resulted from the incident.
Insurance Pushback: Insurers may try to downplay or exclude incidental damages to reduce their payout.
Why a Personal Injury Attorney Is Essential
Navigating a personal injury case, especially one involving incidental damages, can be overwhelming. An experienced personal injury attorney can:
Identify All Applicable Damages: Ensuring no costs, whether primary or incidental, are overlooked.
Build a Strong Case: This will help you gather the necessary evidence and documentation to support your claim.
Negotiate on Your Behalf: Countering attempts by insurers to minimize or reject compensation for incidental expenses.
If you’ve experienced a personal injury and believe incidental damages are part of your claim, getting the right legal support can make a significant difference. Reach out to a Tucson personal injury attorney today to ensure all your damages are accounted for and to secure the compensation you deserve.

why are you actually so talented.
like how drop a tutorial pal
or I WILL personally place several ants inside of your pants
okay but seriously like how do you do all the roblox animating, the undertake things, and just all that cool stuff you do? I’d love to learn!!
bro is NOT subpar
I just was inspired by my friend burger to do some of the stuff he does
If you ever get to see some of the stuff he does its essentially the exact same but far better! A lot of my actual work I do is just me finding ways to avoid showing the glaring flaws in my competency to make it look presentable as nice
Although I know a lot of stuff, I'm not actually super good at anything I do truly, so I call myself subpar overall because I feel like that's the best way to describe everything I do, even if I can do a lot.
The animating stuff I tried learning more of in a day just so I could give Daisy a present, which is why it looked choppy because I stayed up super long trying to make it look nice for them, I wanted to do something kind. But some of those skills were when I tried developing games in the past on Roblox. Its only really worth animating on roblox if you can obtain moon animator for free though, otherwise itd just be better to animate in blender The sprite creation/pixel art i picked up when I wanted to make a character for rivals of aether with burger and eventually got to make a terraria resource pack which lead to me getting to speak to the creator a bit. Really most of it looks special at a glance until you get aseprite, which made everything really nice to get into and is one of the only media software I know that doesn't try to oversimplify things for a general audience but in return makes it simpler to be creative The little undertale dialog sprites I drew out of boredom and decided to use sometimes, theres a website for generating them but its only really useful for getting text the dialog stuff is better to just manually edit in aseprite https://www.demirramon.com/generators/undertale_text_box_generator its hard to explain but once you start developing skills in basic programs other completely different programs start becoming easier too, so you can always explore multiple different forms of media creation at once and it could open up being able to understand software easier. Programs tend to have some familiarities even if they do drastically different things like being a drawing application or creating 3D models. Sorry though I should talk about myself less lol
I like making stuff with a purpose, like a profile picture or something for a game or a gift for someone else instead of creating stuff just for the love of creation, which isn't that good of a mindset but it can make you far more proud of your work, even if you aren't at a level you see as good yet.
Really I'm only at a base-decent level at everything I've shown off on this profile, so if you want to go ahead and try it'd be quick to learn.
...if you have a pc
I wouldn't do any of this on a mobile phone nearly as efficient
(besides full art, I'd probably be better at that on a tablet)
Mobile creators have to put like 3-15 times the effort just for the same product sometimes due to its inefficiency and I deeply respect their efforts
The one thing I have 0 talent at though is anything social related, I should work on being a better person hehehe
Angel is really talented at being a cool person and I am inspired by them to be cooler too, same with chip and asa and a lot of other people who are helpers and above
wait this is derailing fast uhhhh bye guys!!!!!

could you write an article about the history of pokedex and how it came to be what it is now? thank you!
Thank you for the question!
History of the Pokédex... that's quite the topic. There's enough here to write a book. In fact, Professor Hyacinth has; Development and Iteration of the Modern Digital Pokédex was published in 2021, and it's 377 pages long!
In all seriousness, this is a complicated and involved topic. What follows is a (very) abridged history of the models of the Pokédex.
Early Pokédexes
The basic concept of a Pokédex is very old; a written description of the basic appearance and abilities of local Pokémon. These have existed for nearly as long as humans and Pokémon have lived together.
During the settlement of Sinnoh (then referred to as Hisui), Professor Laventon created the first example of what would be recognized as a Pokédex today. Though still a written book, it was the first to include illustrations, type information, height and weight measurements, and gender differences.
(Recently, there has been some debate over the validity of some of the claims about Laventon, particularly his involvement with developing the Apricorn Pokéball. However, his involvement with the Pokédex remains unchallenged.)
This idea continued to be used worldwide for well over 100 years before being significantly changed!
The Digital Era
In 1997, the first digital Pokédex was released by Professor Oak in Kanto. It was similar to the written versions that came before it but contained in a small digital device, with editing capabilities for the user to enter new information about caught Pokémon. Since the Kanto region's Pokémon had not yet been fully cataloged, Oak gathered the remaining information with the help of volunteer Trainers. This model of gathering information for a cutting-edge model of Pokédex with Trainers before releasing it to the public has become standard.
Oak's model of Pokédex was refined further into the now widespread HANDY line. Later models featured holographic components and customizable exteriors.
The functionality of the Pokédex grew as well. As it evolved, it was able to store and categorize a Pokémon's cry, footprints, color, "Egg Groups" (essentially, which Pokémon can breed with others), forms, and locations found in the wild. It could also display information specific to a particular individual Pokémon, such as its "Stats" and "Level".
In Alola, a device was designed specifically for a Rotom to inhabit and act as a sort of sentient Pokédex with enhanced capabilities. This model was short-lived and quite rare.
The Pokédex App
As smartphones become more and more prominent, an opportunity for the Pokédex to be a mobile app became more and more apparent. Unfortunately, smartphones didn't have quite the capabilities to keep all of the features that Trainers had grown accustomed to.
Inspired by the Rotom Pokédex of Alola, it was found that a Rotom inhabiting a smartphone greatly enhanced its capabilities. Armed with this breakthrough, Naranja-Uva Academy's Jacq was able to develop the Pokédex App. This application keeps all the functionality of previous models, with the convenience of being available on one's smartphone. This was quickly adopted as standard in Paldea (Jacq's home region), and shortly after in Galar. The Pokédex App is seeing more and more use across the world today.
We are endlessly proud that our sister academy was able to so significantly contribute to the history of one of our society's most integral tools!

Been up in Harrogate for this year's Thought Bubble convention, during the course of which, @thedancingwalrus-blog and I got talking about how you might do a Gundam (specifically Iron-Blooded Orphans but probably generally applicable) TTRPG.
Because, while I have flicked through Lancer, that seems to follow a very combat-focused Armoured Core-like model, which is not how Gundam tends to operate. I'm not saying one couldn't adapt it (and I'm sure some people are already on that), but at base, I think you'd want a system that would allow you to incorporate a lot more non-pilot roles into a party. Your C&C, your mechanics, and so on. Essentially, if you actually wanted to capture something akin to how Gundam has traditionally operated, you need to be able to do both Epic Giant Robot Fights with appropriate aircraft carrier support, and the obligatory dramatic/homoerotic fencing as you corner your rival in an exploding space fortress.
I think, based on my limited experiences and @thedancingwalrus-blog's considerably greater knowledge, that means skewing more towards character-based gameplay than machinery. Obviously, the mecha are important, but in Gundam, it's always the pilot that makes the difference, and there's always more than pilots contributing. (I'm aware of Mekton, which I think did something similar, putting character-building first; it just doesn't sound like my idea of fun.)
Thus maybe a three by three set of attributes like Vampire the Masquerade?
Physical
Endurance -- what can you take?
Reflex -- how fast can you react?
Training -- do you know what you are doing?
Mental
Intelligence -- how smart are you?
Awareness -- are you paying attention?
Education -- did you go to school?
Social
Social standing -- how does society view you?
Charisma -- how do others react to you?
Experience -- do you know what's going on?
I think this probably captures most of what you'd what to quantify from a Gundam character, with its spacenoid/earthnoid, earthian/spacian, colonist/core kind of divisions and all manner of silver-tongued aces and psychic teenagers.
Then you could have Newtype powers to boost awareness, Alaya-Vijnana systems to boost reflex, being the president's daughter to boost experience, and so on. You could do backgrounds that would set bonuses or penalties to various attributes e.g. for social standing: Human Debris = -3, Martian war orphan = -2, space colonist = -1, Gjallarhorn aristocrat = +2 (or the equivalent). And you could do experience gain -- quite literally -- by boosting the 'learning' stats.
But then of course at some point you have to weld this to a combat mechanic and I'm not sure of that part. Certainly I think having some kind of initiative order where you can have mecha fighting, captains surveying the battlefield and directing ship fire, mechanics doing repairs/optimisation and so on, and having the order they go in mattering. Like, a pilot can race ahead of their captain, but that'll mean not getting the help of a tactical overview. That could model something like Judau charging ahead of the Agama, without getting a full view of what's actually going on, leaving Bright to frantically play catch-up. Or they could wait, holding their turn until their captain can give them a better idea of what they're up against.
Beyond that . . . well, mecha specs would obviously have to play some a part. IBO has the frames, which could provide discrete base stats like Lancer, that you then build out with armour and weaponry. I don't think you'd need much in the way of scale variation. Then again, I suppose mobile worker -> mobile suit -> mobile armour would work as another division.
I'm thinking some sort of base power stat (Ahab reactor) that then gets split between attack, speed and defence . . . but really I need to work out what kind of basic mechanic to adapt before I try to go further with this idea.
(Please note: I am not a big TTRPG person *at all*. But it might be fun and I really like the Post Disaster setting would be good for running games in.)

hoping that this blog is still active bc ive been gunning to really freak someone out by talking abt the Lexicons from Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett
see someone somewhere long ago found the words and languages and Commands that God used to create the universe and started manipulating it every which way, very fun but bog-standard sorcerous hereticism BUT
more recently someone found the inscription for *meaning* and was able to change the *meaning* of different inscriptions so long as that meaning-change-inscription was within range of the changed inscription
leading to Big almost-computers comprised of discs that hold all the Changed Meanings to impact a cerain, say, 5-10mile radius and get Really Hot while theyre working and pop your ears and unsettle the stomach (and smaller ones can be Mobile which is, inevitably, very useful for war)
from the book directly:
"A lexicon was essentially a giant violation of reality – that was why it was so unpleasant to be close to one. The consequences of a lexicon going haywire were too horrific to contemplate. And this was the chief reason that the city of Tevanne, with all of its power, corruption, and fractious merchant houses, had yet to experience much deliberate turmoil: as the entire city was essentially maintained by a system of huge bombs, that tended to make people cautious."
(long winded way of inviting you to play in the space of what i see as a height of runic magic possibilities 😁 only recently stumbled upon the blog so hope you're doing well ♡)
Ah don't worry lass, I'm still here. Just... distracted. Projects of mine got out of control, responsibilities to take care of, the works.
Anyway, on the subject of lexicons: HOLY SHIT HOW MANY OF YOUR MAGES FUCKING DIED TRYING TO GET THAT WORKING?! YOU DON'T JUST FUCK AROUND WITH WHAT RUNES "MEAN" WILLY-NILLY! YOU CHANGE THE IDENTITY OF ONE THING WITHOUT BEING SURE AND SUDDENLY YOUR RUNE FOR "CHANNEL" IS NOW THE RUNE FOR "EXPEL" OR IN LAYMANS TERMS: YOUR WIRING IS NOW ALSO BOMBS!
That said: This is a perfect example of what we currently see as the apex of the Matrix school of rune-work. You take a fuckload of runes, strap em together not unlike the circuits of a computer found in other worlds, and pow! A machine that can change reality around it.
This design does come with some challenges, however:
You can't use any runes that you plan on changing in the machine itself, unless you absolutely need to as a "target" designation. And no, you can't build the machine around using the redefined rune for its new purpose or it simply will not work, as you can't turn it on unless you already have another identity-bending machine working to jump start it. Tevanne might be getting away with this as they centered their entire infrastructure around lexicons, but all it takes is one guy to accidentally shatter a disk...
The process of doing this, as I mentioned before, seems incredibly fucking dangerous. And according to the source here: "the entire city was maintained by a system of huge bombs," I'm far from wrong.
Given the ill effects suffered merely from proximity to these beasts, there's probably an upper limit to how many you can have in an area before everyone goes insane or dies or something. Tevanne is probably going to run into that in the future if they keep adding lexicons.
Better hope that god is dead or they might not take kindly to you fucking around with their development kit. Or they might encourage it. Depends on the god I guess.
Ok, enough being a downer over them, though that is kind of my job.
From the sounds of it, you've found the universal command line here. Congrats. The possibilities are, quite literally, endless. Here's a few I came up with, starting with
CIVILIAN APPLICATIONS
Do you just not like what a particular rune does? Is there also a conspicuous hole in your repertoire? Trade one rune for another, unknown one! (may cause complacency in your engineers, may also break some poor souls discovery before it goes public.)
Set a city-wide upper limit on how much power a particular rune can channel! Is your neighbors runic lighting just... unreasonably bright? Not anymore!
To be honest there's not much else I can think of that couldn't be accomplished with standard rune-work. Except, that is, in the
MILITARY APPLICATIONS
Does your enemy depend on runic war machines? are they launching missiles at you? Redefine them into an unusable state! they're still probably a hefty kinetic payload but they won't detonate anymore! Also, you can't use the same or similar designs yourself.
Do you need something to only be usable in a narrow area? You can already see where this is going.
Does your enemy depend on runic defenses? Transform their unbeatable bulwark into an energy expelling mess that dispels itself in moments!
As I said, the possibilities are literally endless but I've got other shit to do.

New York City Hall has announced the termination of its prepaid debit card program for migrants.
The program, in place since March, provided debit cards to migrants in city-funded hotels to help cover basic needs but was heavily criticized by conservatives and has been scrapped by New York City officials just two days after Republican Donald Trump was confirmed as president-elect.
The initiative was launched as a temporary support mechanism, part of a one-year pilot program, to help migrants by providing them with limited financial assistance for essentials like food and baby clothing.
So far, more than $3 million has been spent on the program, helping almost 3,000 migrant families living in hotels with limited resources to buy essential supplies. The cards provided about $350 for a family of four.
As the city scales back this direct support, officials say they are exploring alternative ways to assist migrants, though no specific plans have been confirmed.
In a statement emailed to Newsweek on Friday, a New York City Hall spokesperson said: "Through the immediate response cards pilot program, we were able to reduce food waste, redirect millions of dollars to our local economy, and provide more culturally relevant food to more than 2,600 migrant families in our care.
"As we move towards more competitive contracting for asylum seeker programs, we have chosen not to renew the emergency contract for this pilot program once the one-year term concludes.
"For over two years, we have provided care to more than 222,000 migrants while saving $2 billion in asylum seeker-related costs. Thanks to our resettlement efforts, intensive case management, and national-leading Asylum Application Help Center, more than 160,000 migrants have left our shelter system and taken their next steps towards self-sufficiency.
"We will continue to implement and learn from innovative pilot programs like the immediate response cards program as we care for hundreds of new arrivals every week."
The program replaced a boxed-meal delivery service, which is reported to have cost twice as much as the debit-card program, as reported by ABC News. The debit card initiative was also credited with being a way to save money by not providing migrants with food items they would not eat and instead giving them autonomy to choose their products.
Financial tech company Mobility Capital Finance, or MoCaFi, was hired to run the program for a one-year term and receives about $400,000 under the agreement, ABC News reported.
In an emailed statement to Newsweek on Friday, CEO and founder Wole Coaxum said: "MoCaFi is pleased to partner with the City to deliver emergency response efforts for communities in need while streamlining processes for asylum seekers with children.
"Our platform enabled families to access fresh food of their choice from grocery stores, convenience stores, supermarkets, and bodegas. Since the beginning of the year, more than 2,600 families have benefited from our services, while spending several million dollars in the local economy.
"This work aligns with our company's mission to ensure efficient use of tax-payer dollars."
The decision is expected to receive mixed responses from local advocates, community leaders and migrant aid groups. Partnerships with local nonprofits and community organizations could provide more targeted aid.
Newsweek contacted migrant support groups in New York City for comment via email on Friday.
New York, as a sanctuary city, has historically embraced policies that aim to protect and support immigrants. However, the scale and speed of recent arrivals have created pressure to find sustainable solutions, with about 700 asylum seekers entering the city each week.
