I was watching the TV show Scrubs the other day and this scene really hit me.
“My Fifteen Seconds” is built around the statistic that doctors tend to only listen to their patients for fifteen seconds at a time. As recurring Sacred Heart visitor Jill Tracy recovers from exposure to pesticides, J.D. and Dr. Cox give her the minimum amount of their attention, a handy countdown clock on-screen letting us know how much longer they’ll have to suffer through her inane banter. Cox and J.D. learn enough to cure her ailment and rule out her apartment being toxic, but in their lack of further care they miss clear, obvious clues that Jill is suffering from depression, and that the pesticides in her system were the result of a suicide attempt.

Some people seem surprised that Chuuya managed to fool Fyodor about being a vampire for less than 30 minutes, but you gotta remember that when he and Dazai first met, Chuuya succesfully hid that he was Arahabaki for two or three days, all while Dazai was specifically investigating Arahabaki.
Chuuya has always been an extremely good liar, and he is kryptonite to people like Fyodor or Dazai (or at least Fifteen's Dazai, he learned from that experience) because he looks brash and impulsive and ""simple"", but actually Chuuya has been lying about who he is for most of his life, and nobody knows how to be a mindless monster better than him.
Everyone gets terrified when they see Dick put on the Cape and go into downright brooding shadow death aura mode, capturing Bruce’s scowl and glare to an uncanny extent.
They don’t know that the real reason Nightwing had to get real good real fast at transforming into batman is because in his early batman days he accidentally smiled while trying to talk down this guy from blowing up a building.
They made eye contact for a split second, before the guy burst into tears. He then proceeded to rip off the bomb, throw up, faint, wake up, throw up again before immediately running for the window of the 45th floor of a building.
bruce and robin-jason era is just a repeat of civilians being unable to spot jason because he's so tiny. batman is fighting a bunch of dudes and one guy thinks he's safe because batman is clearly preoccupied but then bam- suddenly a yellow blur is body slamming his face.
during fights, criminals literally just start shooting at the ground like there's a cockroach infestation because robin is so small that nobody notices him until it's too late.
some high-pitched, pubescent voice insults them and they all look around, confused as to where it came from. meanwhile jason is biting their ankles and rendering them ineffective!
tbh though if you look at the older episodes, Betty was always like absolutely 100% fully and irrevocably unhinged, and her going insane was barely a departure from the status quo at all
like this woman is and always was nuts, and I think it's for everyone's benefit that they're both equally obsessed with each other, because that means nobody else ever has to get involved with their fucked up dynamic
I think it's less that she put her life on hold for Simon's benefit, but that she's a scary lady who knows exactly what she wants, and what she wants is a relationship with a nice autistic guy who's really into femdom
Between Black Sails and Percy Jackson I want it to be a running bit where Jessica Parker Kennedy and Toby Stephens keep being on the same show playing characters whose lives have huge effects on each other but also have zero scenes together
hey do u ever think about how crowley's eyes (a feature he's worked to hide nearly his entire time on earth) were fixated so so so firmly on aziraphale during the final fifteen, to the point where he followed the tiniest of movements, even as tears began to form in his waterline? even as his not-quite-human-heart was splintering in his chest?
CAUSE I DO
how was this permitted to be aired???? knowing full well that angsty queers like me would be sliding down the wall sobbing about it????
(also, if u want to read more about crowley and his eyes, i am once again recommending one of alex's metas: x)
