(Unpopular) HP/ marauders opinions #plstellme

What I love about this place here and all of you is the passion despite our differences. And how we are all willing to die on some hill about how these two characters are madly in love and destined to be together or how THIS scene REALLY went down.

I love how I can understand some characters better now. Or how I’ve come to love some of them myself (#Rosekiller, I’m looking at you).

So please tell me everything. Like, idk…

You love Peter Pettigrew? Then tell me who he is to you.

You think Severus is a deeply pained character who experienced some real injustice? Explain to me what you think makes him lovable? (Cause I gotta tell you, I really don’t like that dude one bit)

But I enjoy your passions so much. I enjoy your thoughts and arguments. Like, I could go on and on about some parts of this fandom. It makes me so freaking happy when you share parts of that, too. And I love how that challenges me to think about things differently (or even to start thinking about things at all)

So idk, let’s do this. Please give me your (unpopular) opinions about your favorite (or any) characters, ships, scenes or canon. Let’s talk about that. I’d love to listen and learn and understand.

"All right, mate." George nodded. "If you really are James Potter—prove it."

"Make haste." Fred added, motioning with his wand.

James blinked. He'd never been asked to authenticate himself before.

"Er—how exactly d'you mean?"

"Tell us about yourself," Fred suggested.

"Okay, well..." James put his best socialite party foot forward, mustering a polite smile. "My parents are Monty and Effie Potter. My dad—he invented the sleekeazy hair potion. Sold the company awhile back, but maybe you've heard of him?"

"Sleekeazy?" Ginny mused, eyeing James' unruly hair. "Did he really?"

Fred nodded. "We can confirm that one, Sirius has a whole closetful at Grimmauld."

"He said, it was 'the perks of having the hair to the throne' as a best mate." George grinned.

She was supposed to be the bad guy, the enemy, the one trying to stop him at every turn. Her father was the guy that wanted him dead, after all.

So why was he laying in her bed with her, his arms around her. He had been in the Slytherin common room once before, in second year, when Pierre had brewed the poly juice potion that had he and Esteban looking like Lando and Daniel (Hufflepuffs, but still Max's closest friends).

Charles loved being in her bed with her, even if he couldn't sleep. He had his fathers invisibility cloak at the end of the bed, allowing him to slip in and out of the portrait hole beside her.

He kissed the top of her head as she stirred ever so slightly. Charles knew she only slept a little better than him; ever since her father had come back in their fourth year her nights had been restless.

One of the other girls in the room stirred slightly, and Charles grabbed his invisibility cloak. He gently shook her shoulder, waking her up before he slipped it over his head. She groaned as she rolled towards him, eyes opening slowly. "Is it time already?" She asked through a whisper.

"Can't risk anybody seeing me, chérie," he said and grabbed her hand, helping her to stand.

She grabbed a jumper and slipped it over her head. Her bare feet slipped into her trainers and she led Charles out of the girls wing. He followed her light, careful steps to the portrait hole.

Every little sound in the dungeon had him turning his head in panic. Him being caught by the Slytherins would be bad enough, but being caught by Max? Charles couldn't imagine anything worse.

There was a time when he and Max were friends. Max, the son of the man trying to kill him and his girlfriends brother. It was a recipe for disaster. At first, Max despised his father and everything he had done. But then Jos came back and Max was at his side, loyal as a dog.

To anybody on the outside, so was she. She was a Verstappen, after all. But she played the part beautifully. Did it panic Charles every time she went home for the holidays? Definitely. Who knew what they would do to her if they found out.

She walked through the portrait hole and kept going, taking him a safe distance from the Slytherin common room. As soon as she was sure they were safe, she lifted his cloak and kissed him. "I'll see you in potions," she answered and kissed him one more time.

They parted ways, Charles heading to to the Gryffindor common room as she went back to the dungeons. She just hoped it would be as empty as she left it.

Just her luck, it wasn't. Her brother sat on the sofa, lifting his head as she walked through the portrait hole. "I thought that was you," he said and she froze. He played with his wand, throwing it up carelessly and catching it again. "Dad is going to love this."

Fuck.

Okay so this follows the basic plot of the Harry potter books (from memory), with some major differences to fit our drivers.

I absolutely cannot get this wolfstar fic idea out of my head, someone please tell me if it already exists —

Marauders AU where it’s the noble and most ancient house of LUPIN, where Remus is entering Hogwarts as the only heir to the most prominent wizarding family in all of Britain, conflicted about upholding his father’s standards and the family image (while hiding his lycanthropy, the stain that it is on the family name) and wanting to break away completely. Sirius, from either a more nouveau riche house Black or from a non-prominent whatsoever wannabe Black family, grows up constantly getting an earful from Walburga about how he should be like Remus, make connections to Remus, etc., and he dreads having to interact with the epitome of pure blood society that he’s been compared to his whole life.

And so, when Remus is sorted into Gryffindor after a hat stall and Sirius locks eyes with him across the hall from what is now their house table, he’s immediately taken by what he sees there, and how much more there seems to be under the surface of the perfect pureblood.
